Stocks Are Surging, But What Happens When Europe Closes?

Not the same shit on this different day...

The Dow is up 180 points, VIX is below 11.5, HYG is up the most in 3 months... all following China"s massive 820 billion Yuan liquidity injection.

There"s just two things...

The FX market ain"t buying it...

And nor are bonds...

So what happens when Europe closes...

"What The F*ck!": Rescued Woman Blasts CNN For Exploiting Hurricane Harvey Victims

Earlier today, CNN anchor Rosa Flores apparently chose the wrong mom to exploit in her futile effort to boost CNN ratings.

While it"s unclear exactly what happened off-air in the moments leading up to this interview, it became clear very quickly that this "shivering cold" mother of two exhausted children had no appetite for Flores shoving a "microphone in her face" to get a couple of sound bites for Jim Acosta"s show.

"We walked through four feet of water to get food on the first day.  Yeah, that’s a lot of shit.”

“But y’all sit here, y’all trying to interview people during their worst times — like that’s not the smartest thing to do. Like people are really breaking down and y’all sitting here with cameras and microphones trying to ask us what the fuck is wrong with us."

"And you really trying to understand with the microphone still in my face? With me shivering cold, with my kids wet, and you still putting the microphone in my face."

Not surprisingly, Kellyanne Conway immediately took to twitter to shame CNN for the failed interview.

Of course, even though Conway"s tweet will be dismissed as a cheap shot, it does seem somewhat obvious from the jump that this mom is exhausted beyond belief and probably slightly more interested in finding some dry clothes for herself and her children than sharing her feelings with CNN.  That said, maybe we"re just really good at picking up on subtle social cues...

Meanwhile, the whole episode left Jim Acosta noticeably "triggered"...

Scaramucci Listed As Dead In Latest Harvard Alumni Directory

It was a bad day for Anthony Scaramucci: first the Mooch was fired just ten days after he was first hired, in the brief process getting served with divorce papers and missing the birth of his baby while unleashing a bizarre rant for the ages, and then shortly after, his now former boss, the president of the US, the same one who earlier said there was no chaos at the White House, tweeted that it was "A great day at the White House"

In this case, one of the responses to the Trump tweet was substantially more informative than the original:

And then, adding insult to pink slip, CBS reported that Harvard Law School apologized for erroneously listing Anthony Scaramucci as dead in its new alumni directory.

No, really: a directory mailed to alumni this week included an asterisk by the name of Scaramucci, a 1989 graduate of the Cambridge, Massachusetts, university, indicating he had died.

A statement from the law school apologizes for the error and says it will be corrected in future editions. It doesn"t provide an explanation for the error. The directory is published every five years and is available only to alumni of the Ivy League law school.

If there was any consolation for Scaramucci, it came from People Magazine, which reported that the lawyer representing the estranged wife of ousted White House communications director denied the NY Post report that the couple ended their marriage because of President Trump.

"I don’t know where that came from, but it is not accurate. It is a false fact,” divorce lawyer Jill Stone, who represents Deidre Ball, told People magazine on Monday.

So at least that wasn"t Trump"s fault. And now that he is once again out of the public eye, Scaramucci may finally get what he requested just 48 hours ago: a plea to leave his family out of it.

To top off an emotional day for all, here is some humor from The Onion:

Following his abrupt dismissal just 10 days after being named White House communications director, Anthony Scaramucci reportedly received an outpouring of sympathetic texts Monday from friends and family expressing that they were “so fuckin’ sorry to hear about this shit.”

“My deepest motherfuckin’ condolences, Tony, it’s terrible to hear you got shit-canned by these ass-munching cocks in D.C.,” read a text message in part, just one of dozens sent by old buddies at Goldman Sachs, current business partners at SkyBridge Capital, and extended family in New Jersey in response to his “goddamn bullshit” dismissal.

“Sorry to hear those bitches gave you the fucking ax, Mooch. That jackass [John] Kelly got no fucking clue what a good fuckin’ dude you are. Just know your mother and I always got your fucking back.” At press time, Scaramucci’s New York office was reportedly filled with flower arrangements and handwritten cards lamenting that this was “absolute fucking trash.”

Tucker Carlson: America's Birthright is Worth Defending

Content originally published at iBankCoin.com

Thoughts on this?

Jingoism and nationalistic fervor are often reviled by both leftists and cynics. In my younger years, I regaled in the glory of America -- up until the point that I felt it was being used to emotionally control people to pursue an agenda that ran counter to the best interests of the people.

In other words, it feels good to be patriotic and to flaunt pride for God and Country -- but what"s the point when the people we elect use that emotional currency to bomb the brains out of people overseas -- exposing our bravest to depleted uranium -- treating them like shit when they come home to continue life as a normie?

I get the conundrum that if we don"t control the narrative being woven, someone else would -- like dog eating fish faces in Asia. It"s hard to "love" an entire country with so many degenerates and malevolent places of ill repute. I"ve come to realize that "country" is better defined as the friends and family close to me -- even some of you internet people who might reside in third world shit-holes, like Canada.

Nevertheless, the following Tucker Carlson monolog is inspirational, in spite the fact that it reeks with idealism. If being a "team player" for America requires me to send my son"s overseas to die for some war that was designed to help elite"s at one of our many gigantic globalist corporations -- count me out.

If we"re talking freedom to say these things without the NSA monitoring every text or email that I make, whilst watching subversive content online, maybe I"ll waive a flag or two on the 4th of July.

"Nobody In Power Is Paying Attention To How Close We Are To The Edge"

Authored by Howard Kunstler via Kunstler.com,

As our politicos creep deeper into a legalistic wilderness hunting for phantoms of Russian collusion, nobody pays attention to the most dangerous force in American life: the unraveling financialization of the economy.

Financialization is what happens when the people-in-charge “create” colossal sums of “money” out of nothing — by issuing loans, a.k.a. debt — and then cream off stupendous profits from the asset bubbles, interest rate arbitrages, and other opportunities for swindling that the artificial wealth presents. It was a kind of magic trick that produced monuments of concentrated personal wealth for a few and left the rest of the population drowning in obligations from a stolen future. The future is now upon us.

Financialization expressed itself in other interesting ways, for instance the amazing renovation of New York City (Brooklyn especially). It didn’t happen just because Generation X was repulsed by the boring suburbs it grew up in and longed for a life of artisanal cocktails. It happened because financialization concentrated immense wealth geographically in the very few places where its activities took place — not just New York but San Francisco, Washington, and Boston — and could support luxuries like craft food and brews.

Quite a bit of that wealth was extracted from asset-stripping the rest of America where financialization was absent, kind of a national distress sale of the fly-over places and the people in them. That dynamic, of course, produced the phenomenon of President Donald Trump, the distilled essence of all the economic distress “out there” and the rage it entailed. The people of Ohio, Indiana, and Wisconsin were left holding a big bag of nothing and they certainly noticed what had been done to them, though they had no idea what to do about it, except maybe try to escape the moment-by-moment pain of their ruined lives with powerful drugs.

And then, a champion presented himself, and promised to bring back the dimly remembered wonder years of post-war well-being — even though the world had changed utterly — and the poor suckers fell for it. Not to mention the fact that his opponent — the avaricious Hillary, with her hundreds of millions in ill-gotten wealth — was a very avatar of the financialization that had turned their lives to shit. And then the woman called them “a basket of deplorables” for noticing what had happened to them.

And now the rather pathetic false promises of President Trump, the whole MAGA thing, is unraveling at exactly the same time that the financialized economy is entering its moment of final catastrophic phase-change. The monuments to wealth — especially the stock and bond portfolios and the presumed value of real estate investments — will surrender to a process you might call price-discovery-from-Hell, revealing their worth to be somewhere between little and nothing. The accumulated monstrous debts of persons, corporations, and sovereign societies, will be suddenly, shockingly, absolutely, and self-evidently unpayable, and the securities represented by them will be sucked into the kind of vortices of time/space depicted in movies about mummies and astronauts. And all of a sudden the avatars of that wealth will see their lives turn to shit just like moiling, Budweiser-gulping, oxycontin-addled deplorables in the flat, boring, parking lot wastelands of our ruined drive-in Utopia saw their lives rendered into a brown-and-yellow slurry draining clockwise down the toilet of history.

Nobody in power in this country is paying attention to how close we are to that epic moment — at least, they’re not talking about it. If the possibility of all that even occupies some remote corner of their brains, they surely don’t know how to prepare the citizenry for it, or what to do about it. The truth is that societies respond emergently to major crises like the imminent unraveling of our financialized economy, often in disorderly and surprising ways. I suppose we’ll just have to watch the nauseating spectacle play out, and in the meantime enjoy the Russian collusion melodrama for whatever it’s worth — probably more than a ticket to Wonder Woman or the new Tom Cruise Mummy movie.

CNN Caught Lying Twice In One Day! Nancy Sinatra and Reddit Put The Brakes On #FakeNews

CNN just can"t stop lying! The purveyors of #FakeNews have once again been caught, twice, peddling propaganda on Inauguration day.

First, Nancy Sinatra called them out for a bullshit tweet suggesting she wasn"t happy with Trump"s use of a Frank Sinatra song during the Inauguration:

zrup6u5b7vay

Second, CNN published a bullshit article suggesting a low turnout compared to Obama, except the picture they used for Trump’s Inauguration appears to be from much earlier in the day:

 cnnfake1

And the full frame of what CNN claims is Trump"s turnout:

Sorry assholes, someone threw this up on Reddit about an hour ago:

Hey $TWX, can you get your bitch on a leash?
