San Diego Continues Desperate Attempt To Control Hepatitis A Outbreak

tentsandiego

San Diego is desperately trying to control a Hepatitis A outbreak brought on by the homeless problem plaguing the state of California. The city has now opened the first of three giant tents meant to contain the outbreak of the deadly virus.

The first of three industrial-sized tents to house the homeless as part of the city’s efforts to contain a hepatitis A outbreak.  The outbreak itself stems from the deplorable conditions people were living in on the streets – mainly, the fecal matter that is left from those who live on the street.  Of course, the government isn’t going to climb off the backs of their residents in California, instead, they will continue to raise taxes and create more homeless people while desperately and frantically trying to stop the problems that their overbearing government has caused.

About 20 people made their way to a bunk bed Friday in the tent that will house 350 single men and women. Two other giant tents will open later this month — one specifically for families and one for veterans. The tents will house a total of 700 people with an attempt to keep them from defecating on the street and spreading the Hepatitis A virus.

More than 3000 people are homeless in San Diego, and risk contracting the disease which has killed 20 people so far.  The city had to divert $6.5 million budgeted for permanent housing to fund the operation of the tents for seven months. The tents will provide an array of services from mental health care to housing navigators. But the city still faces an acute housing shortage for the poor. Faulconer has earmarked more than $80 million in stolen (taxpayer) funds to address the problem. So the city wants to fix poverty by taking more from earners and creating more poverty.  Bravo, California.

Local residents are concerned that the homeless will simply bring their disease with them.  Gemma Librado lives a block away from the tent that opened Friday. Last Sunday, a homeless man high on drugs and with a bleeding hand ran into her apartment when she opened the door and locked himself in her bathroom. She and her 6-year-old son ran out of the apartment and called the police. The man broke things in her bathroom, left bloodstains on her floor, and scared her and her child. “If this makes things more orderly than I support this,” she said. “But I’m worried. I don’t want this to bring in more homeless to the area and people using drugs. There are families with children around here.”

Tucker Carlson: America's Birthright is Worth Defending

Content originally published at iBankCoin.com

Thoughts on this?

Jingoism and nationalistic fervor are often reviled by both leftists and cynics. In my younger years, I regaled in the glory of America -- up until the point that I felt it was being used to emotionally control people to pursue an agenda that ran counter to the best interests of the people.

In other words, it feels good to be patriotic and to flaunt pride for God and Country -- but what"s the point when the people we elect use that emotional currency to bomb the brains out of people overseas -- exposing our bravest to depleted uranium -- treating them like shit when they come home to continue life as a normie?

I get the conundrum that if we don"t control the narrative being woven, someone else would -- like dog eating fish faces in Asia. It"s hard to "love" an entire country with so many degenerates and malevolent places of ill repute. I"ve come to realize that "country" is better defined as the friends and family close to me -- even some of you internet people who might reside in third world shit-holes, like Canada.

Nevertheless, the following Tucker Carlson monolog is inspirational, in spite the fact that it reeks with idealism. If being a "team player" for America requires me to send my son"s overseas to die for some war that was designed to help elite"s at one of our many gigantic globalist corporations -- count me out.

If we"re talking freedom to say these things without the NSA monitoring every text or email that I make, whilst watching subversive content online, maybe I"ll waive a flag or two on the 4th of July.

5 Crazy Facts About Poop

5 Crazy Facts About Poop | poop | General Health Sleuth Journal Special Interests (image: Gizmodo)

This post might not be for the squeamish, but give it a chance! From a scientific standpoint, human feces can be very interesting; if nothing else, all the buzz around using methane gas (harvested from manure) as an energy source is huge. So hold on for this one: here’s 5 crazy facts about poop that may surprise you.

The Scoop on Poop

Using animal and human wastes for good purposes, such as energy production or upcycling, is nothing new. It’s only recently that we’ve been seeing a greater, and more serious, conversation about these ideas. Here’s some of the beneficial ways poop can be used for society.

1. Poop May Be Regulated As a Drug

There’s a nasty bacterial infection called C. Difficile that can cause severe diarrhea and bleeding for months to years. Fecal transplants (just what they sound like) while controversial, are thought to reintroduce the healthy bacteria lost to this infection. For some, this is the best possible hope, but finding a hospital that will agree to the procedure can be difficult—especially with the FDA getting involved: the agency wants to regulate poop as a drug in order to subject it to higher safety standards, but is this really the right approach? [1]

2. Poop is Being Turned into Park Benches

In the U.S, disposable diapers collect close to 3.7 million tons of municipal waste per year. [2] Because of this, one company has stepped in with a solution. By collecting dirty diapers, Terracycle will use the plastic parts to create plastic “wood” park benches and picnic tables. [3] This plan will expand an existing program that collects diaper packaging—possibly even offering cash for the used diapers. This idea of “upcycling”—turning our trash into something new—is nothing new, but it’s a great way to tackle this smelly problem.

3. Poop is a Source of Energy

Some wastewater treatment plants are working to convert our solid waste into something bigger. For example, one plant in Washington, D.C., is turning our poop into enough energy for 8,000 American homes. [4] The potential seems limitless, and agricultural waste is getting the treatment, too, with one Maryland chicken farm lending bird poop to power an entire prison. [5] But this is not just a U.S. thing—everyone has a need for new sources of energy. In Ghana, where sanitation can be an issue, one company is even turning poop into biodiesel and fertilizers. [6]

4. Poop as a Natural Fertilizer

Right now, synthetic fertilizers are big contributors to greenhouse gasses. It’s not the fertilizers themselves, but rather the process used to make them. [7] Some people want to change that by using human waste to create natural fertilizers. Our poop is full of nutrients, so it makes sense to bring this to crops. The trick, though, is to make the process safe for all involved.

5. For Many People, Pooping Isn’t a Good Experience

Not everyone is lucky enough to have easy access to a toilet. In fact, there are many in the world without any access whatsoever. This urgent need even prompted the United Nations to sponsor World Toilet Day to increase awareness. Sometimes the threat of violence can be very real (especially for women and children) when searching for a safe relief zone. [8] According to one report, 2,000 children die of diarrhea—often hygiene-related—each day, and cholera is also a concern. [9]

One Final Thought

Nowadays, you can even send in a fecal sample to learn what’s in your gut’s microbiome; however, there’s room for error as other bacteria can grow while it’s in the mail. [10] While it’s not a sure thing yet, this technology definitely has potential.

So…did you learn something new about poop? Tell us what you think in the comments.

How and Why You Should Prevent a Kissing Bug Infestation

Chagas disease, or “kissing bug disease,” could have a higher mortality rate than previously thought. Why? Because it often goes unreported, and more than half of the U.S. is reporting new cases. [1] [2]

Source: Good Housekeeping

Chagas is largely asymptomatic, so most people don’t know they have it. Chagas, which is transmitted by the so-called “kissing bug,” can cause heart and intestinal problems, but too often the damage isn’t realized until it’s too late, or doctors don’t associate symptoms with the disease. [1]

Dr. Ester Cerdeira Sabino, a co-leader in the study, explained:

“Most people who get infected, carry on with their lives … unaware they were bitten. A lot of mortality data doesn’t account for Chagas, so you underestimate the effect of the disease. What the parasite does to the body takes a long time; [it] slowly goes into the heart and destroys it.”

Read: Rare Diseases Chagas and Leprosy Becoming Commonplace in U.S.

Chagas disease is 1 of 5 parasitic infections the U.S. Centers for Disease Control is currently targeting for public health action. [2]

Kissing Bugs and Their Deadly Parasites

The scientific name for kissing bugs is Triatomine bugs, but they’re also sometimes called assassin bugs and vampire bugs. The blood-sucking insects usually bite humans when they’re asleep, either on the eyes or the lips. People can also accidentally scratch or rub the bugs’ feces into their eyes or mouth, or accidentally consume contaminated food. [1] [2]

After feeding on a person, parasites in the kissing bug’s feces can enter the body through breaks in the skin. [2]

When people do show symptoms, it is during the acute phase, the first few weeks after infection. An infected person might experience mild symptoms, such as fever, aches, and fatigue. The most noticeable sign of infection is called Romaña’s sign – when the eyelids near the point of infection start to swell.

During the chronic phase, cardiac or intestinal complications can develop.

Controlling the Kissing Bug Population

There are antiparasitic drugs on the market that can treat Chagas, but considering how rarely the disease goes detected, the best offense is a good defense. The most effective way to do this is by controlling the kissing bug population.

Kissing bugs like to hang out under porches, in dog houses, and under piles of rocks and wood. To prevent infestation, seal cracks and gaps, remove wood or rock piles near your home, and don’t let pets sleep outdoors. Roach hotels and other bait-like traps don’t work against kissing bugs.

Your chances of being bitten by a Triatomine bug are relatively low, but if you suspect you have been bitten, don’t ignore it – talk to your doctor immediately. [3]

In a May, 2017 study published in the journal PLOS Neglected Tropical Diseases, infection with Chagas was found to increase risk of death by 2 to 3 times from all causes.

Dr. Ligia Capuani, an infectious disease researcher at Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de Sao Paulo, in Brazil, who led the research, said:

“In every age category, people who had Chagas died more than people who didn’t have Chagas. So if you’re infected early in life, you should be treated.” [1]

Madame Almost President Snapchats to 'Stand Up and Resist', Plus Tucker vs Feminist Debate

Hillary Clinton came out looking sharp this evening -- donning a devil"s red toga and new bobbed haircut -- telling her fellow sisters to "stand up and resist" for planned parenthood and jobs etc.

During tonight"s show with Tucker Carlson, he debated a young lady who was leading the "Day Without a Woman" movement -- which called for women to boycott WHITE MALE BUSINESSES ONLY. I know that sounds absurd, right? After all, if this is a women"s movement, why the fuck do chinese and black men get a pass on their boycotts? If this were a reasonable feminist movement, they"d say "fuck all men, equally" (pun not intended) -- instead of just the white ones. I will tell you now, this is NOT NICE! SAD!

Regarding the stats she quoted, they"re based on stats provided by the World Economic Forum, which derives a score parsing through data regarding economic participation and opportunity, educational attainment, health and survival and political empowerment. I do not pretend to be an expert on this subject matter. More importantly, I am not under the disillusionment like many of my male peers out there that America is a beacon of equality amongst races and gender. This country is fucked 10 ways "till Sunday. Based on the stats provided by the World Economic Forum, the United States is ranked #45.

We are ranked #1 in education for females, but when it comes to political empowerment, we"re on par with shitholes like Kazakhstan, Vietnam, China and UAE.

The top 5 ranked nations are Iceland, Finland, Norway, Sweden, and Ireland. The rankings actually say Rwanda, but I"ve used my editorial powers to reject that horseshit -- considering their educational attainment is ranked 110.

The bottom 5 ranked nations are islamic hell holes, naturally: Yemen, Pakistan, Syria, Saudi Arabia, and Chad.

Moral of the story? As advanced westerners, we should help spread the proliferation of women"s rights by IMPORTING REFUGEES FROM ALL OF THE WORST OFFENDING NATIONS IN THE WORLD, when it comes to women"s rights.

CNN Caught Lying Twice In One Day! Nancy Sinatra and Reddit Put The Brakes On #FakeNews

CNN just can"t stop lying! The purveyors of #FakeNews have once again been caught, twice, peddling propaganda on Inauguration day.

First, Nancy Sinatra called them out for a bullshit tweet suggesting she wasn"t happy with Trump"s use of a Frank Sinatra song during the Inauguration:

zrup6u5b7vay

Second, CNN published a bullshit article suggesting a low turnout compared to Obama, except the picture they used for Trump’s Inauguration appears to be from much earlier in the day:

 cnnfake1

And the full frame of what CNN claims is Trump"s turnout:

Sorry assholes, someone threw this up on Reddit about an hour ago:
