Google Searches For ‘World War 3’ Spiked After US-Led Attack On Syria

Google searches for the phrase “World War 3” spiked after word of the United States-led strike on Damascus and Homs in Syria. As the globe lingers on the precipice of a war, and the mainstream media glorifies the beginnings of what could be the third world war, many are not so calm.

The last time Google searches for World War 3 spiked this dramatically was when Trump ordered a missile strike on a Syrian airfield which was allegedly used to launch the Khan Sheikhoun chemical attack, which killed dozens of civilians in April 2017. The U.N. blames Syria’s Bashar al-Assad government for the Khan Sheikhoun attack, yet there’s not much evidence still that the Syrian government used chemical weapons on their own people in either attack.

According to Newsweek, the spike in Google searches is due to fears of an actual war. U.S. allies U.K. and France joined the strikes on what the coalition said were chemical weapons facilities belonging to the Bashar al-Assad regime. The strikes took place in the early hours of Saturday morning (April 14), Syria time, and were designed to punish and deter the use of banned weapons.

Russia, which is backing the Syrian government with troops on the ground, told the UN it is being “threatened” and warned the U.S. and its allies of “consequences” for striking Syria. Russia has vowed retaliation before the strikes took place, yet it’s hard to say if Putin will follow through.

Trump tweeted about the strikes the next morning, rattling some of the more leery civilians. “A perfectly executed strike last night,” Trump tweeted on Saturday morning. “Thank you to France and the United Kingdom for their wisdom and the power of their fine military. Could not have had a better result. Mission accomplished!”

Not long after the tweet, the mainstream media helped ramp up fears of war by glorifying the attack, while condoning Trump’s use of wordage.

While some don’t think a large scale war is possible, the more logical and sound minded folks understand that this strike did pose a serious risk to world peace. Attacking Syria always risks hitting the Russian military because of its large presence in the country and triggering an escalation that, in the worst case scenario, leads to a direct conflict between Russia and the U.S., the world’s two most heavily armed nuclear powers. In the best case scenario, we’ll be left with a second cold war, one much “colder” than the last.

French Minister of the Armed Forces Florence Parly said after the strikes that the allies “are not looking for a confrontation and refuse any logic of escalation. That is why, with our allies, we ensured that the Russians were notified ahead of time.

Did you ever think about the places close to you that would be potential targets for a nuclear strike by an enemy? If you’re reading this website, chances are, the answer is yes. But how would a strike to that nearby target affect you?

In the event of a nuclear strike, there are four things to consider. The numbers below are in the event of a 300 kiloton bomb:

  • The Fireball: Everything in this range would be disintegrated, It is nearly a one-mile radius and also called Ground Zero.

  • Radiation: A wave of deadly radiation would affect everything within 5.5 miles. This will cause lung injuries, severe burns, deafness, blindness, and internal bleeding. Anyone in this range who survives the immediate danger is likely to suffer from radiation poisoning in the upcoming weeks.

  • The Shockwave: A shockwave of incredible power would spread throughout a range of about 11.5 miles.  Also called the blast wave, this highly compressed air will travel at high velocities (up to 470 mph), destroying nearly every building in its path.

  • The Heat: Heat from a nuclear blast would travel almost 50 miles. This heat can ignite fires and cause first degree burns.

You can plug any address into this website and see how far the effects of a nuclear strike would reach.

This is a link to the Blast Simulator.

Here’s what a 300 KT strike on the White House would look like, so that you can get an idea of the different danger zones.

You can check out my book, How to Survive a Dozen Disasters, for detailed information on how to prepare for the potential of a nearby nuclear strike and what to do if it happens. This article has some instructions as well.

Where are nuclear strikes most likely to take place?

It depends. There are all sorts of variables with regard to nuclear targets. While most of us would think that cities like New York, Washington DC, and Los Angeles would be more desirable because of high population density, the targets are more likely to be strategic militarily.

This article from Business Insider states that cities aren’t the most likely targets anymore and that targeting has “shifted from cities to nuclear stockpiles and nuclear war-related infrastructure.”  The map below shows the theoretical targets of an attack by Russia.

However, if North Korea were to attack the United States, the goals would be different, at least based on a North Korean propaganda photo from 2013.

In Hawaii, one of the closest targets to North Korea, the US military bases Pacific Command, which is in charge of all US military units in the region. San Diego is PACOM’s home port, where many of the US Navy ships that would respond to a North Korean attack base when not deployed.

Barksdale Air Force Base in Louisiana holds the US Air Force’s Global Strike Command, the entity that would be responsible for firing back with the US’s Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missiles.

Washington D.C., of course, is the home of the US’s commander-in-chief, who must approve of nuclear orders. (source)

What about radioactive fallout?

If a nuclear strike occurs and you are outside the range of the issues above, the next risk is the radioactive fallout.

The significant hazards come from particles scooped up from the ground and irradiated by the nuclear explosion. The radioactive particles that rise only a short distance (those in the “stem” of the familiar mushroom cloud) will fall back to earth within a matter of minutes, landing close to the center of the explosion. Such particles are unlikely to cause many deaths, because they will fall in areas where most people have already been killed. However, the radioactivity will complicate efforts at rescue or eventual reconstruction. The radioactive particles that rise higher will be carried some distance by the wind before returning to Earth, and hence the area and intensity of the fallout is strongly influenced by local weather conditions. Much of the material is simply blown downwind in a long plume.

Rainfall also can have a significant influence on the ways in which radiation from smaller weapons is deposited, since rain will carry contaminated particles to the ground. The areas receiving such contaminated rainfall would become “hot spots,” with greater radiation intensity than their surroundings. (source)

Radioactive fallout can cause myriad health problems. You can also be exposed to these particles when you eat plants, milk, or meat that has been contaminated by fallout.  The biggest risk is thyroid cancer, which is why those who live in a place where there is a risk of fallout should stock up Potassium Iodide pills. (Here’s how to take them to prevent cancer due to radioactive fallout.) A Stanford University study warns:

Nuclear fallout poses health dangers, particularly in the form of cancer, to humans in the form of radiation. When radioactive chemicals break down they release a certain amount of radiation. When humans are exposed to this radiation there is a risk that it causes chemical changes in cells which can kill or makes cells abnormal. In damaging the DNA contained in cells, radiation can cause cancer and can also lead to birth defects in children due to the tampering with a person’s genetic makeup. (source)

The other variable

The last and scariest variable is this: how big is the bomb? On the map above, you can plug in different types of nuclear warheads for different results. If a Tsar bomb (the largest ever detonated in Russia) struck Washington, DC, it would demolish a substantially larger area and the death toll would reach 1,858,141 people, with injuries to nearly one and a half million more.

Here’s what that would look like.

As you can see, with a 50,000 KT bomb, the numbers are entirely different.

  • The Fireball: Everything in this 31-mile range would be disintegrated

  • Radiation: A wave of deadly radiation would affect everything within 44 miles. This will cause lung injuries, severe burns, deafness, blindness, and internal bleeding. Anyone in this range who survives the immediate danger is likely to suffer from radiation poisoning in the upcoming weeks.

  • The Shockwave: A shockwave of incredible power would spread throughout a range of about 345 miles.  Also called the blast wave, this highly compressed air will travel at high velocities (up to 470 mph), destroying nearly every building in its path.

  • The Heat: Heat from a nuclear blast would travel 3200 miles. This heat can ignite fires and cause first degree burns.

There is an enormous difference in the scale of nuclear weapons. This video gives you some idea of the scope.

Do you live near any of the potential targets?

When you look at the maps above, are you close to any of the likely targets? How will you prepare for the potential of attack?

3 Recent Events That Could Send the US Hurtling Toward World War III

This article was originally published by Daisy Luther at The Organic Prepper

Recently, the news has been all abuzz with teen activists who want to take away our guns but refuse to use clear backpacks, the Facebook privacy scandal, and how someone bit Beyonce in the face. But there are three recent events that aren’t getting much press which tell us it is entirely possible that we could be headed toward World War III at worst and toward an economic collapse at best.

During the election, it really seemed as though Hillary Clinton as president would be a much more likely path to World War III. She even gloated of the actions she planned to take that would have led directly and immediately to war. Donald Trump as president seemed less likely to get us into a war with Russia, but it appears the tides may have turned back in that direction.

#1) The Trade Tariffs

We’re already at financial war with China due to punitive trade tariffs that our governments are instituting on one another. President Trump wants to rebalance global trade in America’s favor, and China isn’t going to go down without a fight. Here’s more information on the list of tariffs the US wants to charge for Chinese merchandise and the retaliatory list from China.

The last time we were involved in a major trade war, the Great Depression happened, according to an economics expert for CNN.

America’s last trade war exacerbated the Great Depression in the 1930s, when unemployment rose to 25%. Claiming it was protecting American jobs, Congress passed the Smoot-Hawley Act in 1930. The original bill was meant to protect farmers. But to build political support, many lawmakers asked for tariffs — or taxes — on all sorts of goods in exchange for their vote.

Several nations, such as Canada, slapped steep tariffs — or taxes — on US goods shipped and sold abroad. For example, US exports of eggs to Canada fell to 7,900 in 1932 from 919,000 in 1929, according to Doug Irwin, a Dartmouth professor and former trade adviser to President Reagan.

The result: US imports fell 40% in the two years after Smoot-Hawley. Banks shuttered. Unemployment shot up. Surely, there were a litany of factors at play. But economists widely agree Smoot-Hawley made the Great Depression much worse than otherwise. (source)

And what happened at the end of the Great Depression? World War II happened, and this ended the unemployment and resulted in a spending frenzy that pumped up the economy. There’s always an increase in the GDP during wartime due to defense spending. But that is one hell of a bad way to fix the economy, don’t you think?

#2) The PetroYuan

As of Monday, March 27th, the US has lost petrodollar status. The petrodollar now has competition in the form of the petroyuan. What this means is that previously, the only way anyone in the world could buy oil was to use US dollars to do so. This kept the value of our currency high. But now, Russia and China are buying oil using the yuan. Others may soon follow because the United States has ticked off a majority of the planet in the past century.

What does this mean for Americans? Inflation. Major inflation. If our dollar is worth less on the global scale, it means that anything we import is going to cost more. If you want the super-detailed economic explanation, this article and video will provide the in-depth info you want on the history and potential collapse of the petrodollar.

Many articles have been written about the possibility that the United States will go to war to protect the petrodollar status. This one is a good read. For a quick explanation, watch this video.

#3) Kicking Out the Russian Diplomats

We also kicked 60 Russian Diplomats out of the United States because Russia was accused of poisoning their own spy on British soil.

Trump took the action after the US joined the United Kingdom in accusing Russia of attempting earlier this month to murder a former Russian double agent and his daughter using a nerve agent in the town of Salisbury, England. The action comes just 11 days after the Trump administration leveled the first sanctions against Russia for its interference in the 2016 US presidential election.

“The United States takes this action in conjunction with our NATO allies and partners around the world in response to Russia’s use of a military-grade chemical weapon on the soil of the United Kingdom, the latest in its ongoing pattern of destabilizing activities around the world,” White House press secretary Sarah Sanders said in a statement. (source)

Russia, the world’s favorite scapegoat recently, denies responsibility for the poisoning.

“It’s complete drivel, rubbish, nonsense that somebody in Russia would allow themselves to do such a thing ahead of elections and the World Cup,” Putin told supporters after winning a fourth term as president.

“We have destroyed all chemical weapons,” he added, rejecting Britain’s claim that only Moscow could be behind the nerve agent attack on former double agent Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia. (source)

As for the dozens of Russian diplomats expelled from countries around the world, Russia has promised a response.

RIA Novosti reports an unnamed foreign ministry official protested the decision by EU, NATO nations to expel envoys, and  confirmed that Russia will respond to each country expelling diplomats, warning that the “expulsions won’t go unanswered.”

“Unfriendly” action won’t be left unanswered.

U.K.’s allies are “blindly following” principle of Euro-Atlantic unity at the expense of common sense.

Additionally, Russia’s ambassador to Washington, Anatoly Antonov, said that, with regard to the US response, US only understand force.

“I mentioned in my statement in the State Department that I consider these actions counterproductive,” Antonov said.

“I said that the United States took a very bad step by cutting what very little still remains in terms of Russian-American relations.” (source)

Whether Russia was responsible for the poisoning of their former agent or not, this incident and the response could lead to…you guessed it…war.

President Trump Seems to be Building a War Cabinet

If Russia and China decide to team up, it’s a safe bet they won’t just be making passive aggressive comments about the US. We can look for a brutal and decisive attack. Whether the United States strikes first or gets hit first would be the only thing in question.

Whatever the case, it looks like the White House is expecting war.

There was more upheaval in Washington DC last week when President Trump replaced his National Security Advisor. Many people were shocked when Trump booted H.R. McMaster and replaced him with an avid Warhawk, John Bolton.

“I am pleased to announce that, effective 4/9/18, @AmbJohnBolton will be my new National Security Advisor. I am very thankful for the service of General H.R. McMaster who has done an outstanding job & will always remain my friend. There will be an official contact handover on 4/19.”

“The two have been discussing this for some time. The timeline was expedited as they both felt it was important to have the new team in place, instead of constant speculation,” a White House official said. “This was not related to any one moment or incident, rather it was the result of ongoing conversations between the two.” (source)

Queen Elizabeth II Has A WW3 Speech Written And It Is Ready To Deliver

The Queen of England has a pre-written speech prepared for the outbreak of World War 3.  As tensions between Russia and the United Kingdom continue to flare, the Queen’s speech is sparking fears of a nuclear war.

An Austrailian news source, News.Com.Au, reported that some people already fear a nuclear war is more likely that during the Cold War era. The speech was prepared for her back in the 1980s. It was originally revealed in 2013, but no one paid much attention until now. The address was written in the event nuclear war does occur, and she needs to address the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth.

The speech was released by the government under the 30-year rule, and is reflective of the time it was written, with a “planned” broadcast date of March 4, 1983. It was drawn up as part of a wargaming exercise.  The script for a hypothetical broadcast has the monarch describing the threat to the “brave country” as “greater” than any other in history. It also mentions the Queen’s son Prince Andrew, then in the Royal Navy. The speech, devised by Whitehall officials at one of the most fraught Cold War periods, was never recorded.

Although it was only a simulation, the text of the Queen’s address (written as if broadcast at midday on Friday 4 March 1983) seeks to prepare the country for the ordeal of World War III. According to the BBC, it starts off by referring to the Queen’s traditional Christmas address:

The horrors of war could not have seemed more remote as my family and I shared our Christmas joy with the growing family of the Commonwealth. Now, this madness of war is once more spreading through the world and our brave country must again prepare itself to survive against great odds.

I have never forgotten the sorrow and the pride I felt as my sister and I huddled around the nursery wireless set listening to my father’s [George VI’s] inspiring words on that fateful day in 1939 [at the start of the World War II].

Not for a single moment did I imagine that this solemn and awful duty would one day fall to me.

But whatever terrors lie in wait for us all, the qualities that have helped to keep our freedom intact twice already during this sad century will once more be our strength. My husband and I share with families up and down the land the fear we feel for sons and daughters, husbands and brothers who have left our side to serve their country.

My beloved son Andrew is at this moment in action with his unit and we pray continually for his safety and for the safety of all servicemen and women at home and overseas. It is this close bond of family life that must be our greatest defense against the unknown. If families remain united and resolute, giving shelter to those living alone and unprotected, our country’s will to survive cannot be broken.

As we strive together to fight off the new evil, let us pray for our country and men of goodwill wherever they may be. God Bless you all.

It’s a little eerie, to say the least, that the UK, now neck deep in tensions with Russia had prepared a Cold War speech for their Queen. The current crisis with Russia began on March 4, when former Russian spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia were found slumped on a bench in Salisbury, England. UK Prime Minister Theresa May claimed they had been poisoned by a nerve agent called Novichok, one of the world’s deadliest.

While the pair remains in hospital, their prognosis is grim. And more importantly, what continues to be missed by most mainstream media outlets is that Skripal had connections to the Trump dossier author, Christopher Steele.  Skripal had a close relationship with an unnamed security consultant who worked for Christopher Steele’s Orbis Business Intelligence.

The SHTF: Costco Starts Selling A Variety Of Doomsday Prepper Kits

Costco wants to be your one-stop shop for prepping supplies. You know it’s about to get serious when even Costco is offering doomsday prepping kits for survival during an apocalyptic scenario.

With the threat of nuclear war, an imminent economic collapse, tyrannical government, and other apocalyptic predictions, Costco stores are now offering a variety of doomsday preparation kits that will keep a family of four fed for a year. This isn’t a new endeavor for Costco either.  The company has been selling doomsday prepping kits since at least 2010.

Time reported that the store’s kit will include freeze-dried fruits and vegetables, pasta, and other grains. The dried produce carries a shelf-life of 25 years, while the grains can last up to 30. Costco also has smaller doomsday kits geared toward single adults that will also last up to one year. The smaller package will only set you back $1,000.

The increase in prepping supplies sales is a turnaround from recent months. Revenues fell after Donald Trump’s election, according to three of the country’s larger retailers that specialize in selling emergency preparedness. “The whole industry kind of took a little pause after the election of Trump,” said Brandon J. Garrett, director of marketing at The Ready Store, which sells a wide range of prep products online and via catalog. “I think everyone was kind of waiting to see what kind of leader he was going to be and where he would take the country.”

“This week, it kind of seemed that everything picked up,” he said. Emergency gear has its own retail niche, with preppers attending conventions and manufacturers coming up with even more specialty products. Some in the industry trace its rise to the aftermath of the Hurricane Katrina disaster in New Orleans; others believe it was stoked by those who were concerned about government tyranny after Barack Obama was elected for a second term.

Keith Bansemer, vice president for marketing at My Patriot Supply, which sells bulk food, water devices, and seeds, said customers have started snapping up the company’s six-month food supplies. They wanted to do something to feel more secure, he explained. By prepping, “you’re actually alleviating fear,” Mr. Bansemer said.

With a premade kit, what could make prepping for a SHTF scenario easier? The Prepper’s Blueprint offers great advice on how to begin to prepare for any situation you may find yourself in.

Putin Says “US Political System Eating Itself Up”, Explains Preparation For Nuclear War

This report was originally published by Tyler Durden at Zero Hedge

In a move that will likely prompt more calls for collusion, Russia’s President Vladimir Putin offered more words of praise for President Trump on Wednesday, but added that he was sorely disappointed with the U.S. political system, saying that it has been “eating itself up.”

Speaking in an interview with Russian state television, Putin lavished Trump with praise, describing him as a great communicator: “I have no disappointment at all,” Putin said according to AP, when asked about the U.S. president. “Moreover, on a personal level he made a very good impression on me.”

Putin also praised Trump as a “balanced” man, who easily gets into the gist of various issues and listens to his interlocutor. “It’s possible to negotiate with him, to search for compromises,” Putin added.

The two leaders met on the sidelines of international summits last year.

The Russian president also noted that he spent some time talking to Melania Trump when he sat next to her during an official dinner at the G-20 summit in Hamburg, Germany in July. The Russian leader said he told her and the wife of the Italian premier “about Siberia and Kamchatka, about fishing … about bears on Kamchatka and tigers in the Far East.”

“I made some exaggerations,” the action-loving Russian leader said with a grin. “When you talk about fishing, you can’t help exaggerating.”

Asked jokingly by the interviewer if he was trying to recruit the women, the KGB veteran responded by saying: “No, I stopped dealing with that a long time ago.” He added with a smile: “But I liked doing that, it was my job for many years.”

* * *

Putin then changed the topic, and vented his frustration with the U.S. political system saying “it has demonstrated its inefficiency and has been eating itself up.”

“It’s quite difficult to interact with such a system, because it’s unpredictable,” Putin said.

Russian hopes for a detente and better ties with Washington have been dashed by the ongoing congressional and FBI investigations into allegations of collusion between Trump’s campaign and Russia. Speaking about the bitter tensions in Russia-West relations, Putin said they have been rooted in Western efforts to contain and weaken Russia.

“We are a great power, and no one likes competition,” he said.

Turning his attention to a particularly sensitive topic, Putin said he was dismayed by what he described as the U.S. role in the ouster of Ukraine’s Russia-friendly president in February 2014 amid massive protests.

Putin charged that the U.S. had asked Russia to help persuade then-President Viktor Yanukovych not to use force against protesters and then “rudely and blatantly” cheated Russia, sponsoring what he called a “coup.” Russia responded by rushing through a referendum in Ukraine’s Crimean Peninsula, whose result was an overwhelming majority voting to join Russia.

“Few expected us to act so quickly and so resolutely, not to say daringly,” Putin said.

He described the Western sanctions over Crimea and the insurgency in eastern Ukraine as part of “illegitimate and unfair” efforts to contain Russia, adding that “we will win in the long run.” He added that “those who serve us with poison will eventually swallow it and poison themselves.”

Responding to a question about Russia’s growing global leverage, Putin responded: “If we play strongly with weak cards, it means the others are just poor players, they aren’t as strong as it seemed, they must be lacking something.”

* * *

Finally, Putin, who presented a sweeping array of new Russian nuclear weapons last week, voiced hope that nuclear weapons will never be used — but warned that Russia will retaliate in kind if it comes under a nuclear attack.

“The decision to use nuclear weapons can only be made if our early warning system not only detects a missile launch but clearly forecasts its flight path and the time when warheads reach the Russian territory,” he said. “If someone makes a decision to destroy Russia, then we have a legitimate right to respond.”

He concluded ominously: “Yes, it will mean a global catastrophe for mankind, for the entire world. But as a citizen of Russia and the head of Russian state I would ask: What is such a world for, if there were no Russia?”

‘Time Traveler’ From 2075 Claims Nuclear War Breaks Out In 2020

A man calling himself a time traveler claims to have been born in 2043 and has come back in time to let us know that nuclear war is imminent. Saying his name is Michael Phillips, the YouTube channel APEX TV uploaded a video of the man also claiming the “Big One” will hit California soon toon.

Using a voice distorter, Phillips claims a government agency (he never says which one) sent him back through time in a machine of “possible” alien origin. “Hello my name is Michael and I have quite the story to tell you,” he begins. I am a time traveler. Yes.”

APEX TV‘s description of the video also lays out a concise layout of what Phillips has to say:

In 2075, according to Michael, he was part of several top-secret missions in which he traveled through time. In this video he sent us, he reveals details about WWIII and tells about which countries will be involved. He also reveals a future president of the U.S. Michael also talks about commercial space flight and colonization of the galaxy.

Phillips says he joined the army at the age of 18 before he was handpicked for these time travel experiments. Describing what the world will look like in 30 years time. After detailing his time in the Army, Philips says another time traveler caused 9/11 to stop an American civil war which was supposed to kick off in 2008.

“Another time traveler from, I think it was 2038, he came back.  His name was Titor. He came back to 2000 I do believe. And he thankfully stopped a civil war in America which was supposed to kick off in 2008. However, he got involved with the American Intelligence Agencies and the time travel program there. And it was decided that America needed a single unifying event to bring the country together to and to avert a civil war. And that event was 9/11.”

He then goes on to tell us about North Korea and what World War 3 will look like.

“There is a limited nuclear exchange in 2019. March of 2019. That does involve North Korea. They attempt to launch a nuclear missile at Honolulu in Hawaii.  And then the US responds with two cruise missiles… nuclear-laden missiles to Jong Un and takes them out. So, Kim Jong Un was no more at that point….With the turmoil that ensued after that, World War III did start in 2020. It was a limited war though, thankfully, it only lasted three years. China and Russia were against the UK, America, and a few other countries…it was a very fast but brutal war. Countless millions were killed. Nuclear weapons were used in a very limited capacity.”

He then says in Los Angeles, to be exact, the San Andreas fault line causes a 10.2 magnitude earthquake decimating life on the coast.  Million are displaced and the landscape of California completely changes.

It’s hard to believe that time travel is real, but then again, many still doubt Operation Paperclip and Operation Northwoods despite the government’s own documents proving their legitimacy. Maybe only time will tell (pun intended.)

Russian President Vladimir Putin: If The US Attacks Russia, He WILL Use Nukes

Russian President Vladimir Putin said the United States is planning to deploy five cruisers and 30 destroyers near the Russian border. Should the US make the mistake of attacking Russia, however small the attack may be, Putin will launch nuclear weapons.

Putin’s warning came during a state of the nation address delivered by the Russian president on Thursday, in which he presented a number of new advanced strategic weapon systems. He said he would render all anti-missile capabilities that the US currently has powerless with his new and advanced weapon systems.

We are greatly concerned by some parts of the new nuclear posture, which reduces the benchmark for the use of nuclear weapons. Whatever soothing words one may try to use behind closed doors, we can read what was written. And it says that these weapons can be used in response to a conventional attack or even a cyber-threat,” he said.

“Our nuclear doctrine says Russia reserves the right to use nuclear weapons only in response to a nuclear attack or an attack with other weapons of mass destruction against her or her allies, or a conventional attack against us that threatens the very existence of the state.”

“It is my duty to state this: Any use of nuclear weapons against Russia or its allies, be it small-scale, medium-scale or any other scale, will be treated as a nuclear attack on our country. The response will be instant and with all the relevant consequences,” Putin warned. –RT

A nuclear war is not something to take lightly. It would end civilization as we know it. Russian Lieutenant General Evgeny Buzhinsky told RT that by training its European allies to use their nuclear arms, the US is moving towards an atomic war with Russia, forgetting that it would mean the end of the human civilization. The US is also attempting to make a “show of force” against Russia by sending ships to the Black Sea.

*The video below contains some curse words and may not be suitable for those at work or for children.

“This is a gigantic story and nobody’s talking about it,” says Kyle Kulinski of Secular Talk.  Americans are too busy being bombarded by gun control rhetoric and propaganda in the mainstream media to even realize that the US is posturing for a nuclear war with another nuclear superpower. “We’re rolling the dice with World War 3.  That’s not hyperbolic,” Kulinski continued. “So you keep f***ing slowly tumbling toward armageddon and the entire time we all act like there’s not even a story here.”

Are You Prepared For The ‘War To End All Wars?’

All signs point toward an upcoming large-scale Israeli/U.S. attack on Lebanon and Syria and all the sycophantic mainstream media are manipulating the public as we speak to gather support for a “war to end all wars.”

The Greanville Post reported that as the media “prepares the feast” (war), what we’ll be “fed” is being revealed. Russia and Iran are the main course, with Lebanon and Syria, who will be devoured first, as the hors-d’oeuvres. As always, the media play along as if they don’t yet know what’s coming. Everyone “in the know” (global elitists) knows what is happening, just not exactly when they can pull it all together. And the media awaits this war with baited breath as they count down to the dramatic moment when they can report the incident that will compel the “innocent” to attack the “guilty.”

Anyone with half a brain can see the greatly increased anti-Russian propaganda of the past few weeks.  This has happened as the Russia-gate claims have fallen to pieces, as former CIA analyst Raymond McGovern, the late Robert Parry, Paul Craig Roberts, and others have documented so assiduously.  All across the media spectrum, from the big name corporate stenographers like The New York Times, CNN, National Public Radio, The Washington Post to The Atlantic and Nation magazines and other “leftist” publications such as Mother Jones and Who What Why, the Russia and Putin bashing has become hysterical in tone, joined as it is with an anti-Trump obsession, as if Trump were a dear friend of Putin and Russia and wasn’t closely allied with the Netanyahu government in its plans for the Middle-East. As if Trump were in charge. “Russia Sees Midterm Elections as a Chance to Sow Fresh Discord (NY Times, 2/13), “Russia Strongman” (Putin) has “pulled off one of the greatest acts of political sabotage in modern history (The Atlantic, Jan. /Feb. 2018), “”Mueller’s Latest Indictment Shows Trump Has Helped Putin Cover Up a Crime” (Mother Jones, 2/16/18), “A Russian Sightseeing Tour For Realists” (whowhatwhy.com, 2/7/18), etc.   -Greanville Post

“I’ve seen a lot of chatter in mainstream media, also in foreign policy circles about this fear of a coming war,” says Joe Joseph with The Daily Sheeple. “There’s a lot of people, especially in the upper crusts of the foreign policy think tanks, the CFR (Council on Foreign Relations) and others, that are really concerned about where things are going over in the Middle East. And then with regards to Russian and all the ‘push button’ antics going on between Russian and the United States,” he continued.

Joseph says we should see Israel for who they really are and try not to get wrapped up in the propaganda the media is preparing for everyone. “The fact that it came back [Israel] and it came around is more a sign of the end than it is of ‘oh boy! Israel has returned’…it is just a way for high-powered banking families like the Rothschilds and others to have projectible power using a ‘puppet government’ if you will. And that of course, being Israel.”

Which leads us to the bigger problem, which is the war drums that are beating right now. “A lot of this is centered around Benjamin Netanyahu and the pending corruption charges. He wants something to distract from his personal issues.” What he will do, according to Joseph, is bring about a conflict anyway he can that will result in him being irreplaceable. “He’s buying time,” Joseph said.

“It does look like we are moving towards a global war that could become nuclear,” warns Joseph. Are you prepared?

China Deploys 300,000 Soldiers To N. Korean Border In “Preparation For Potential War”

This report was originally published by Tyler Durden at Zero Hedge

china-army

While the specter of a nuclear war with North Korea has faded in recent weeks, China is not taking chances, and ahead of the Winter Olympics in South Korea, the Chinese government has deployed 300,000 troops and multiple mobile strike groups to its highly-guarded border with North Korea, a move which signals that Beijing is quietly gearing for a potential crisis between Kim Jong Un and the United States in the coming months.

According to South Korea’s Chosun Ilbo news, “China is preparing for a potential war on the Korean Peninsula by reinforcing missile defenses near the border with North Korea” citing a report from Radio Free Asia. “Military units in Yanbian were relocated from Heilongjiang Province, thus adding 300,000 troops along the border.”

RFA quoted a North Korean source in China that the Chinese military late last year deployed another missile defense battery at an armored division in Helong, west of Longjing in the Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture. Now it is deploying missile defense batteries near North Korean reservoirs by the Apnok and Duman rivers.

The reason for the increased missile presence is that Chinese troops in the border area could be swept away if the North tore down the banks of the reservoirs or they were destroyed by missiles or air strikes, the source added.

On Jan. 24, Taiwan’s Central News Agency reported that the 78th Group Army, the first Chinese military unit that would cross the border into the North in the event of a war on the Korean Peninsula, has been armed with newest surface-to-air missiles against South Korean and U.S. aircraft and missiles.

The reported deployment comes just days before the start of the 2018 Winter Olympic Games in South Korea.

What is peculiar about this escalation is that it comes as Kim Jong Un’s regime has – at least optically – attempted to “thaw” relations with Seoul, wishing the South Korean government a “successful” competition and hoping to “ease military tensions” before the games begin. In a rare case of Korean unity, both North and South Korea plan to march into the Opening Ceremonies under a “united Korean flag” and will combine their female hockey teams.

Meanwhile, Trump has been busy pushing his domestic agenda to engage in Twitter bickering and comparing nuclear button size with Kim Jong-Un, allowing tensions between the two nuclear-armed nations to ease in recent weeks, although if China knows something, this tentative detente will not last long.

According to the Doomsday Clock, the End Is Near (VIDEO)

According to the Doomsday Clock, the End Is Near (VIDEO) | armageddon | Multimedia Sleuth Journal Special Interests US News War Propaganda World News

The hypothetical “Doomsday Clock” is closer to midnight – the hour of doom – than it has been since 1953, the year that the US and the USSR both tested hydrogen bombs at the beginning of the global nuclear arms race.

The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists (BAS) announced on Tuesday that the time on the clock was now two minutes to midnight. The BAS is a group of science and policy experts who assess human advancement…and risk…say that we’re getting alarmingly close to the Zero Hour. Their statement said:

To: Leaders and citizens of the worldRe: Two minutes to midnightDate: January 25, 2018

In 2017, world leaders failed to respond effectively to the looming threats of nuclear war and climate change, making the world security situation more dangerous than it was a year ago—and as dangerous as it has been since World War II.

The greatest risks last year arose in the nuclear realm. North Korea’s nuclear weapons program made remarkable progress in 2017, increasing risks to North Korea itself, other countries in the region, and the United States.Hyperbolic rhetoric and provocative actions by both sides have increased the possibility of nuclear war by accident or miscalculation.

But the dangers brewing on the Korean Peninsula were not the only nuclear risks evident in 2017: The United States and Russia remained at odds, continuing military exercises along the borders of NATO, undermining the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty (INF), upgrading their nuclear arsenals, and eschewing arms control negotiations.

In the Asia-Pacific region, tensions over the South China Sea have increased, with relations between the United States and China insufficient to re-establish a stable security situation.

In South Asia, Pakistan and India have continued to build ever-larger arsenals of nuclear weapons.

And in the Middle East, uncertainty about continued US support for the landmark Iranian nuclear deal adds to a bleak overall picture.

To call the world nuclear situation dire is to understate the danger—and its immediacy. (source)

The statement goes on to discuss climate change and technological campaigns.

But the change of the clock goes even deeper.

It is not any one of those factors, but a combination of all of them — and the weakening of public faith in knowledgeable expert voices — that prompted the change to the clock, Lawrence Krauss, chair of the BAS Board of Sponsors and director of the Origins Project at Arizona State University, told reporters.

“The danger of nuclear conflagration is not the only reason the clock has been moved forward, as my colleagues have described. This danger looms at a time when there’s been a loss of trust in political institutions, in the media, in science, and in facts themselves, all of which exacerbate the difficulty in dealing with the real problems the world faces, and which threaten to undermine the ability of governments to effectively deal with these problems,” Krauss said. Here’s a timeline of the Doomsday Clock and an illustration.

This video has more information about the Doomsday Clock. (The video is from last year but gives a good rundown of the history of the clock.)

The world is on an alarming trajectory.

While you may not agree that all the threats are actually legitimate, it’s difficult to deny an ugly trend in the world today.

Honestly, is the advent of Doomsday really that far-fetched?

Preppers have been saying this for ages.

Of course, none of us actually WANT to be right. But many are feeling the urge to prepare even more strongly of late as we watch the disturbing headlines. (Go here to learn more if you’re new to preparedness.)

What would you add to the list of doomsday concerns?

(Thank you to Guy for the tip!)

Predictive Programming? Soros Warns of War with North Korea, Veils Indirect Threat to the President

George Soros

George Soros (formerly Georgiy Schwarz) has been one of the most destructive individual forces in the past three decades throughout the world. He broke the Bank of England in the 1990s, is responsible for currency collapses in places such as Malaysia, has been listed as wanted by several nations, and is meddling in the illegal alien Muslim floodgate introduced into the countries of Europe. He is directly responsible for the troubles in Eastern Ukraine.

Soros attempted to institute a “land grab” of lands in Donetsk and Lugansk (“coincidentally” the same provinces attempting to secede from Ukraine) to take their natural resources: trillions of ores and minerals, for the mere pittance of $50 million. He directly sponsored and created Maidan and the lie of Ukrainian revolution…, a coup d’état against the Ukrainian Constitution’s legally elected representative, Viktor Yanukovych that forced him to flee to Russia. Soros pulled strings attached to Senators John McCain and Lindsay Graham, and invisibly “tethered” politico-puppets Hillary Clinton (then Secretary of State) and Victoria Nuland.

Now Soros has made prognostications of a coming nuclear war between the United States and North Korea. CNBC released this excerpt on 1/26/18 of the oligarch’s forecasts:

“The fact of nuclear war is so horrendous that we are trying to ignore it, but it is real. Indeed, the United States is set on a course towards nuclear war by refusing to accept that [North] Korea has become a nuclear power. This creates a strong incentive for North Korea to develop its nuclear capacity with all possible speed, which in turn may induce the United States to use its nuclear superiority pre-emptively, in effect to start a nuclear war to prevent a nuclear war, obviously a self-contradictory strategy.” – Soros’ speech to the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland

Soros didn’t stop there. He also said this:

“Soros said Trump is trying to establish a “mafia state” in the U.S. but has failed so far.

The progressive activist said he sees the president’s place in the world as “temporary” and likely to “disappear in 2020 or even sooner.”

These words shouldn’t be taken lightly. Soros has hidden billions in his NGOs (Non-Governmental Organizations) and has stepped up the role of destabilizing nations through political rabble-rousing (labeled “organization” or “activism” in the Alinsky-progressive manner) of the youth to overthrow existing governments. This has been complemented by the relentless push to control legislation in The Hague courts to force sovereign European nations to allow Muslims to enter their countries.

Destabilization is not confined to Europe. Soros has been actively destabilizing the United States for many years, as well. Half of the Democratic Party either answers to or is allied to him. For the basics (and basis) read the work “Shadow Party” that chronicles his activities. In that light, a Democratic Senator, Tammy Duckworth of Illinois completed a trip to South Korea to assess the situation and U.S. troops in the region. Duckworth is not your run-of-the-mill Democrat: She is a former chopper pilot who lost both of her legs after being shot down in Iraq, and she attained the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. The following is an excerpt from a December 7, 2017 interview with Zack Beauchamp in an article entitled US senator on North Korea: “Most Americans don’t realize how close we are to this war. Here is an excerpt from that interview:

“I’m extremely worried — not just based on what I’m hearing out of the White House but also what I’m hearing out of the defense community. We are far closer to actual conflict over North Korea than the American people realize.

In August, we had a meeting between Defense Secretary [James] Mattis and his counterparts in South Korea to discuss the use of US nuclear first strike. In the same time frame, we permanently moored a nuclear submarine in South Korea. Everything we’re doing shows a military that, in my personal opinion, has turned the corner from “we need to try to prevent this from happening” to a military that’s saying the president is likely to make this decision [to attack] and we need to be ready.

But a preventive first strike from us will result in a massive response from the North Koreans. We know this because a high-ranking defector from North Korea testified in front of Congress last month; one of the things that would happen is a preemptive first strike from the United States or South Korea would result in an automatic massive response.”

As you may have deduced, the direction we are heading in is toward a war. The last excerpted paragraph contains a statement by a North Korean defector stating that North Korea will retaliate should we strike first. Although the defector did not go into much detail, know that the policy of North Korea’s military also enables it to strike first…if they believe an attack is imminent or in motion against them.  In this case, an EMP (Electromagnetic Pulse) weapon is central to their nuclear strategy, as demonstrated by the (now defunct and defunded) Commission to Assess the EMP Threat Against the U.S. for more than a decade.

We will, of course, have to wait and see. As with history, however, when these oligarchs and politicians make public statements such as these about imminent warfare, common sense dictates the statements merit attention. This especially regarding the links to Congress and the U.S. State Department, both currently still infested with Obama-administration holdouts. These “leftovers” have in no way changed their viewpoints or actions.

In my opinion, Soros’ second statement is a veiled, indirect threat made to the President of the United States. The President’s “place in the world to disappear by 2020 or sooner,” he said? If that does not constitute a threat, then nothing does. He should be arrested immediately and investigated. But of course, that’s not how the game is played, is it? The problem with our Constitution is that it protects the rights of those who act to overthrow it. The bigger problem is that such protections are in place for them…and they (the ones who would overthrow our Constitution) bypass the laws…to buy further influence and immunity…from the very politicians who have sworn to stomp out such actions.

Doomsday Clock Moves Closer to Midnight

Doomsday Clock Moves Closer to Midnight | midnight-clock | Sleuth Journal Special Interests US News War Propaganda World News

The Bureau of the Atomic Scientists maintained its Doomsday Clock since 1947 – the closer to midnight, the greater the risk of catastrophe from nuclear war or environmental disaster.

Its original setting was seven minutes during a more peaceful time than what preceded or followed the clock’s launching.

It’s been set forward and backward numerous times, once to 17 minutes to midnight, two minutes to midnight the closest to what the Atomic Scientists perceive as a potential doomsday scenario.

It’s been there only twice – in 1953 during the height of Cold War fears, and as of January 25, 2018 – over fear of Trump’s hostility toward North Korea, Iran and other sovereign independent countries.

Days after his January 20, 2017 inauguration, the Doomsday Clock was advanced to two-and-a-half minutes to midnight, the move attributed to “the words of a single person: Donald Trump, the new President of the United States.”

The clock was moved less than a full minute for the first time because he’d only been president a few days.

The Atomic Scientists expressed concern over his announced nuclear arsenal expansion and questionable appointments, potentially “ma(king) a bad international security situation worse.”

His actions during his early days in office were cause for concern – far more worrisome after a year as president, his administration infested with hawkish generals and neocon extremists.

His and their rage for war and hostility toward sovereign independent states risk unthinkable nuclear war on his watch – perhaps confrontation with Russia and/or China going nuclear by accident or design.

In announcing today’s move, Atomic Scientists (AC) president Rachel Bronson said “(i)t with considerable concern that we set the Doomsday Clock, as of today. It is two minutes to midnight.”

AC board members, including 15 Nobel laureates, believe “the world is not only more dangerous now than it was a year ago. It is as threatening as it has been since World War II.”

Nuclear history expert Alex Wellerstein explained today’s heightened fear, saying “(w)e have members of Congress, White House advisers, and even the president implying that they think war with a nuclear state is not only likely, but potentially desirable. That’s unusual and disturbing.”

Proliferation of nuclear weapons and Washington’s willingness to use them perhaps threatens humanity like never before.

A single detonation can turn major cities into smoldering rubble, their populations annihilated, their landscape and surrounding areas irradiated.

In response to the Doomsday Clock’s advance toward midnight, International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN) executive director Beatrice Fihn issued a statement, saying:

“The actions and policies of the nuclear-armed states are winding the Doomsday Clock towards midnight.”

“We have been lucky to avoid conflict through intentional or accidental means, but recent posturing and the false alarms in Hawaii and Japan show our luck is about to run out if we don’t move quickly.”

“(S)ecurity based on luck is reckless and foolish. It’s exactly what the nuclear states have now. 122 nations voted for the nuclear ban Treaty and other nations need to join the process so we can stop flirting with our own destruction and destroy the Doomsday Clock once and for all.”

Because of US rage for global dominance, today is the most perilous time in world history.

Humanity destroying nuclear war could happen by accident or design. US imperial madness could doom us all.

A Final Comment

On January 25, a Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists said the following:

“In 2017, world leaders failed to respond effectively to the looming threats of nuclear war and climate change, making the world security situation more dangerous than it was a year ago – and as dangerous as it has been since World War II.”

“The greatest risks last year arose in the nuclear realm. North Korea’s nuclear weapons program appeared to make remarkable progress in 2017, increasing risks for itself, other countries in the region, and the United States.”

“Hyperbolic rhetoric and provocative actions on both sides have increased the possibility of nuclear war by accident or miscalculation.”

“On the climate change front, the danger may seem less immediate, but avoiding catastrophic temperature increases in the long run requires urgent attention now…The nations of the world will have to significantly decrease their greenhouse gas emissions to keep climate risks manageable, and so far, the global response has fallen far short of meeting this challenge.”

“(T)here has also been a breakdown in the international order that has been dangerously exacerbated by recent US actions. In 2017, the United States backed away from its longstanding leadership role in the world, reducing its commitment to seek common ground and undermining the overall effort toward solving pressing global governance challenges.”

“Neither allies nor adversaries have been able to reliably predict US actions or understand when US pronouncements are real, and when they are mere rhetoric. International diplomacy has been reduced to name-calling, giving it a surrealistic sense of unreality that makes the world security situation ever more threatening.”

Atomic Scientists made levelheaded recommendations for stepping back from the brink – ways of saving humanity from possible annihilation.

Bipartisan lunatics in Washington reject peace and ecosanity. Their agenda poses a greater threat to humanity than during the second war to end all future ones.

They rage dangerously out-of-control today. New conflicts loom – risking destruction of life on planet earth if a way isn’t found to stop them.

The Pope’s WW3 Warning: The World Is At ‘The Very Limit’ Of Nuclear War

pope-doomsday

Pope Francis said on Monday he was really afraid of the danger of a nuclear war and that the world now stood at “the very limit.”  According to his comments, the world is one step away from a devastating nuclear war.

The Pope made the comment as he flew off for a visit to Chile and Peru, and the statement comes just after Hawaii issued a false missile alert that provoked panic in the U.S. state and highlighted the risk of possible unintended nuclear war with North Korea. The mistaken alert underscored the risk of potentially entering an unintentional war with North Korea. Hawaii Democratic Representative Tulsi Gabbard said Sunday that the false alert shows the need for direct negotiations with North Korea.

But when asked if he was worried about the possibility of nuclear war, Pope Francis said: “I think we are at the very limit. I am really afraid of this. One accident is enough to precipitate things.”

Although the Pope did not specifically mention Hawaii or North Korea, he did say that stockpiling nuclear weapons is against the teaching of the Catholic church. According to One America News Network, Pope Francis has often discussed the danger of nuclear warfare. Back in November, the Pope appeared to harden the Catholic Church’s teaching against nuclear weapons, saying countries should not stockpile them even for the purpose of deterrence.

As reporters boarded his plane bound for Chile, Vatican officials handed out a photograph taken in 1945 that shows a young Japanese boy carrying his dead brother on his shoulders following the U.S. nuclear attack on Nagasaki. “I was moved when I saw this. The only thing I could think of adding were the words ‘the fruit of war’,” Pope Francis said, referring to a caption put on the back of the image. “I wanted to have it reprinted and distributed because an image like this can be more moving than a thousand words. That is why I wanted to share it with you,” he said.

Japanese Public Broadcaster NHK Issues False Alarm Over North Korean Missile Launch

This report was originally published by Tyler Durden at Zero Hedge

emp-northkorea

It’s deja vu, all over again.

Just four days after residents of Hawaii lived through 38 minutes of doomsday hell, after a false public broadcast alarm announced that a ballistic missile launch was headed for the island, only to reverse and announce later it was a mistake, moments ago Japan’s National broadcaster NHK’s app issued a false J-Alert to phones over a North Korean missile launch at 6:55 p.m. Tuesday evening local time.

The message, received by phone users with the NHK app installed on their devices, read: “NHK news alert. North Korea likely to have launched missile. The government J alert: evacuate inside the building or underground. “

It then promptly corrected the error just 5 minutes later, at around 7 p.m.

After the false alert, NHK issued an on-air apology on Tuesday evening local time, saying “the news alert sent earlier about NK missile was a mistake. No government J alert was issued.”

“Around 6:55pm earlier we reported on the NHK’s news site and NHK’s news disaster prevention application ‘Pattern of North Korean missile launch’ but this was incorrectly issued. J alert has not appeared. I must sincerely apologize,” the news outlet wrote.

The bizarre coincidence of two false alarms announcing the start of nuclear war is certainly suspicious.

The false alert came on the same day as the US and Canada planned to host talks in Vancouver over the crisis on the Korean Peninsula after a year of missile tests and threats from the North.

As a reminder, on Saturday, an emergency alert notification sent out to residents of Hawaii warning of an incoming “ballistic missile threat” turned out to be a false alarm. The error was blamed on an employee who “pushed the wrong button.” “BALLISTIC MISSILE THREAT INBOUND TO HAWAII. SEEK IMMEDIATE SHELTER. THIS IS NOT A DRILL,” the emergency alert read.

The warning went out on television and radio as well as cell phones, according to Hawaii Gov. David Ige, sparking panic amongst some residents. A second emergency alert was sent to phones in Hawaii 38 minutes after the initial message confirming the false alarm.
