Ellison Goes Full Subversive Promoting Antifa

Ellison is not just some obscure outlier — he’s a major player in the national Democrat Party with the backing of its leadership.

“Lawmaker” Ellison embraces “revolutionary” collectivist lawbreakers.“Rep. Keith Ellison, D-Minn., the deputy chair of the Democratic National Committee, caused a stir on social media Wednesday when he posed with a book promoting the violent ‘Antifa’ movement,” Fox News reports. “In a post on Twitter, Ellison said that he found the book “Antifa: The Anti-Fascist Handbook” at a Minneapolis book shop and said it would ‘strike fear in the heart of @realDonaldTrump.’”

That’s doubtful, especially since if the domestic enemies are anything like their foreign counterparts, they’re more contemptible and failed man-children than anything else. The only reason they get away with their crap is because the system they want to destroy doesn’t typically roll tanks over dissenters. Those like them are the ones who do Killing Fields after they slaughter their way to power.

Besides, Trump is an avatar for those who voted for him because they believe in the issues he campaigned on. Ellison means to strike fear in their hearts.

So it’s no surprise that he would add support for frustrated, raging and violent vandals to his list of allies hostile to the Republic from which sprang the Bill of Rights. Or that he was the first choice of Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, Chuck Schumer and Harry Reid to head the DNC.

They did that knowing Ellison is a leader of the Congressional Progressive Caucus. And the Caucus (with Ellison specifically identified) maintains “ties” with the Communist Party USA and “close ties” with another “progressive” group, the Democratic Socialists of America, the domestic arm of Socialist International. The DSA devoted a page on their website (until they took it down to try to hide it—this link  goes to the Internet Archive record, which they can’t erase) to hymns glorifying their “struggle.”

The following examples should be of special interest, since the people they’re talking about are pretty much you and me:

Too many of our countrymen still are sleeping. What will you do today to help wake them up? And tomorrow and the next day…?

Naturally, such people can’t be armed if the revolution is to succeed. Ellison has a plan for that, too. His response to being asked why the Democrat Party doesn’t “come out against the Second Amendment”:

“I sure wish they would. I sure wish they would.”

Americans who regard the Constitution as a superior mechanism for advancing individual rights than Islam, which Ellison also embraces,  are smeared as members of “extremist anti-government movements.” And speaking of which, just what the hell was Ellison swearing to when he placed his hand on Thomas Jefferson’s Koran and swore an oath?  And do we all know what Jefferson understood about the implications to freedom based on real-world experience?

Not exactly friendly to the “no law respecting an establishment of religion”proscription, is it?

Of course, Marxism brooks no competition as well, and Ellison has positioned himself to ride either horse. Still, in a way his being so over-the-top in his radical departure from traditional “red state” America can be used to advantage by showing people that as deputy chair of the DNC, he’s not just an outlier. He represents the leadership of the Democrat Party. It’s more than simply “our friends across the aisle” with whom we can “agree to disagree.”

These people mean to rule, and ultimately, only one thing will stand in their way. That would be those of us retaining the means and the will to prevent it.

Democratic Party Continues to Prove It Has Lost Touch With America

(ANTIMEDIA) – As President Trump’s presidency continues to spiral toward failure, mainstream opposition continues to follow the same path. Despite the president’s dismal approval rating, the Democratic Party can’t seem to come up with a meaningful strategy to appeal to millions of Americans who are dissatisfied with the country’s current leadership.

Their predicament was apparent this when the Democratic National Committee sent out a press release scolding Trump for failing to keep his promises on his proposed border wall. According to a screen shot tweeted by Business Insider reporter Allan Smith, the DNC attempted to stir inspiration by asserting that “Trump has failed to deliver on his signature promise to build a border wall and have Mexico pay for it.”

The Hill reported further, noting the DNC response to Trump’s failure to build the wall:

“REALITY: Construction on Trump’s border wall had not begun as of August 2017, and it had not even received funding yet.”

Though the DNC made it clear they do not support the wall plan, but rather, were attempting to highlight Trump’s lies, the attempt was lambasted on social media.

“If your strategy requires you to twist yourself into this big of a pretzel, it might be time for a better strategy,” tweeted Mike Casca, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio’s communication director.

The DNC also failed on a separate occasion this week — this time with a DNC mailer attempting to collect donations for the party. The shot of the envelope, tweeted by Business Insider reporter Andrew Saturn, displayed “FINAL NOTICE” stamped on the envelope.

“The Democrats proving how disconnected from the working class they truly are: sending out donation pleas that look like collection letters,” Saturn, a self-described leftist, commented. He then claimed that though he didn’t have the full notice to tweet, it “start[ed] out like a collection letter than [sic] [slid] into generic DNC fundraising form letter.” Though one Twitter user argued it was likely a marketing firm that sent out the notices — and therefore, it wasn’t the DNC’s fault — the DNC’s lack of oversight in such a theoretical incident is just as damning.

Indeed, the DNC’s evidently misguided tactics are not translating into funds. New Republic reported this week that the party is lagging far behind the RNC when it comes to fundraising:

“In July, the DNC raised $3.8 million, lagging far behind its Republican counterpart, which raised $10.2 million in the same month. This is the worst haul for any month since January 2009, when Barack Obama was first inaugurated. Overall, during the first half of 2017, the RNC has pummeled the DNC, raising $75.4 million to the Democrats’ $38.2 million.”

Though the party is attempting to paint itself as the “resistance” to Trump and has earned funds for congressional elections in 2018, they are overall failing to garner significant financial support. Some of this is a result of the perception that they lack substance beyond opposing the president.

But it’s also over the party’s continued push toward the center as it ignores more progressive elements of the left. This is the exact tactic they used during the primary, when grassroots support overwhelmingly went to Bernie Sanders, a candidate the DNC intentionally undermined in favor of Hillary Clinton, one of the most loathed political figures in U.S. history. This caused many Democratic loyalists to leave the party.

For example, the DNC opted to place Tom Perez, an establishment Democrat, in charge of the DNC over Keith Ellison, a Berniecrat with a progressive agenda.

Their pick to make establishment politician Sen. Chuck Schumer the minority leader in Congress further reflects their unwillingness to budge and adapt (ironically, Schumer previously received thousands of dollars in campaign donations from Trump). So does an apparent push in favor of Kamala Harris, who is currently rising in the party. Many progressives skeptical of her ties to Wall Street swiftly rejected her.

As the New Republic wondered this week:

“Are they the party of transparency and small donors? Or will they continue to rely on wealthy individuals and corporations, under the cover of loose campaign finance laws that the party opposes in principle?”

Though the outlet noted it’s ultimately too early to tell just how serious the Democrats’ fundraising problem is, the Democrats’ outreach efforts are clearly falling short in the Trump era when they should have supporters flocking to them.

Bernie To Introduce $15 Federal Minimum Wage Legislation On Wednesday

We all knew it was coming and now it has finally been confirmed that the Senate"s favorite Socialist will introduce legislation later this week calling for a $15 federal minimum wage.  The pending release of the bill was confirmed earlier today by Bloomberg"s Josh Eidelson.  Apparently co-sponsored by fellow liberals, Senator Murray, Keith Ellison, Bobby Scott and Raul Grijalva, the bill will call for a $15 federal minimum wage to be fully implemented by 2024.

For those silly "math" people out there, that"s a mere 107% increase in minimum wage over just a few short years, which we suspect will at least slightly outpace inflation over the same period.

As our readers are undoubtedly aware, Bernie has long been an advocate of the $15 "living wage." The Daily Caller provided some background on the other sponsors" efforts to meddle in labor markets.

Murray has pushed for a federal minimum wage increase in the past, introducing the “Raise the Wage Act” in April 2015. The legislation called for the federal minimum wage to be increased from $7.25 to $12 an hour by 2020. The bill never made it far in the Republican-controlled Congress, but Murray has remained a leader in efforts to increase the federal minimum wage.

Ellison lost narrowly to Perez in the DNC chairperson race and remains a favorite among liberal activists. The progressive Minnesota-Democrat is a favorite among unions, and has been a strong advocate for the Fight for Fifteen movement.

Grijalva, who co-chairs the Congressional Progressive Caucus (CPC) with Ellison, was a part of efforts by the CPC to raise the minimum wage to $15 per hour in the summer of 2015. Shortly after Murray’s efforts, the CPC introduced the “Pay Workers a Living Wage Act” in July 2015.

Scott joined Murray in sponsoring efforts to get the minimum wage to $12 per hour in 2015, arguing (at the time) that a $12 minimum wage was much more politically feasible at the time.

We"ve written extensively about the unintended consequences of higher minimum wages, namely the pink slips that seem to come shortly after their implementation.  So rather than rehash all of the stats, for those interested, here are a few of our favorite articles on the topic:

Of course, given that Democrats don"t control a single branch of the federal government at the moment, and the socialist party has never controlled a single branch to the best of our recollection, we"re going to go out on a limb and guess that Bernie"s bill won"t get passed anytime in the immediate future.  That said, at least he"s one step closer to getting a bunch of fast food workers fired, and we"re sure they really appreciate all his hard work.

Perez DNC Win Over Ellison Spells Bigger Danger

Ellison takes a back seat to Perez, perhaps symbolic of new Democrat interests to pander to a preferred constituency they’re helping to grow — while continuing to take one deemed more traditionally exploitable for granted. [Democratic Party – Facebook video screen capture]

“Minnesota Congressman Keith Ellison fell short Saturday in his campaign to run the Democratic National Committee, losing to former Labor Secretary Tom Perez,” NPR News reported. “[T]he next chairman is sure to have a pivotal role in remaking the party ahead of the 2018 midterm elections and a 2020 presidential contest. Democrats hope to feed off large protests and displays of resistance in the opening month of the Trump presidency.

Interesting, admitting they benefit from all  the “unrest” being ginned up. While both are demonstrable domestic enemies of freedom, Perez represents the bigger danger, and the one more likely to be able to push back politically against “conservative” initiatives. That’s because, at least so far, he’s been less of a lightning rod.

True, both he and Ellison have long histories of oath-breaking and subversion. Both are for cultural terraforming of the Republic through “immigration” and “refugee” actions to bring in and embed or sanction existing unvetted foreign nationals. And both are hostile to the right of the people to keep and bear arms.

But Ellison is more vulnerable to exploitable suspicions over his agenda and motives, not only because of his documented racism and sympathies with radical Islamists, but also because of his affiliation with Democrat Socialists of America, who found it in their political interests to (at least temporarily) retire their songs of solidarity:

Does anyone wonder why Democrat Socialists support what they call “common sense gun safety” (i.e., citizen disarmament) laws?

Those vulnerabilities, I argued, made Ellison the perfect choice to “lead” a party that refuses to accept why Hillary lost, and that continues to double down on alienating flyover America. He would provide constant opportunities to make such inconvenient truths known to the wider public, and thus subject all of his moves to wider scrutiny for unstated motives.

The relatively lesser-known Perez has been more insulated, and will be better able to present his agenda as humanitarian, and as championing of the desperate and downtrodden. And that – being able to appeal to empathy from those who neither understand the underlying issues nor what is at stake – makes his ascendency to Democrat leadership all the more dangerous.

Back before he took on the Labor gig, Perez was an Assistant Attorney General under Eric Holder, heading the Department of Justice Civil Rights Division. He’s the guy who warned states like Texas and South Carolina that their duly-enacted voting laws were discriminatory because they required a state-issued photo ID. As I noted at the time:

If Perez is correct, that lack of state-issued photo ID is 20% more likely to disenfranchise minorities from their right to vote, why would we not also believe it would have a similar effect on their right to purchase a firearm, as is specified on ATF’s Form 4473 requiring a driver’s license or “valid government issued photo identification,” and similar forms as proof of eligibility?

The government can’t have it both ways. By their own admission and actions, they consider a requirement to produce official photo identification as discriminatory, with a significant statistical impact on the enfranchisement of minority rights. Heller and McDonald leave no doubt that the Second Amendment articulates an individual right recognized by the federal government and applicable to the states, and it is the duty of the Department of Justice to ensure that denials of rights are prosecuted.

Likewise, state-issued identification is required to obtain concealed carry permits and to apply for registration/transfer of National Firearms Act weapons such as machine guns, short barrel firearms, destructive devices, AOWs, etc. So the question now becomes why is the head of the Justice Department’s civil rights division tolerating, allowing and insisting on discrimination against minorities in general and Hispanics in particular when it comes to exercising their Second Amendment-recognized right to keep and bear arms?

The danger, of course, involves more than the Second Amendment, which, after all, is a leading indicator for the larger Freedom issue. There’s a reason why the Democrat agenda demands bringing in more foreign nationals and putting them on a “pathway to citizenship.” And that’s something establishment Republicans in general and the National Rifle Association in particular have shown deliberate indifference to.

That’s evidenced by the just-concluded Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), and the prominent roles played by both NRA’s Wayne LaPierre and by NRA darling and Bloomberg “immigration” ally Grover Norquist (although this time once more wearing his competing Americans for Tax Reform hat). Neither will address a simple challenge, preferring to ignore it and hoping the information will not escape a relatively isolated echo chamber:

In addition to explaining the California experience, produce credible data – something that can be independently validated – that “amnesty” and a “pathway to citizenship” for MILLIONS of foreign nationals in this country illegally (and even legally, with current culturally suicidal policies) WILL NOT overwhelmingly favor Democrats and anti-gunners.

Show us your sources and methodologies for determining this WILL NOT result in supermajorities in state and federal legislatures that will be able to pass all kinds of anti-gun edicts. Show us how this WILL NOT result in nominations and confirmations of judges to the Supreme and federal courts who will uphold those edicts, and reverse gains made to date.

Notice I didn’t ask for platitudes or for anecdotes about exceptions to the rule, or about who is turning up in increasing numbers at gun stores and ranges – that doesn’t matter if you can’t point to a corresponding overriding shift in voting trends. I didn’t ask for wishful speculation about how education and outreach programs MIGHT help bring more over to the NRA side. I asked you to show how all credible estimates putting the disparity at over 70% Democrat and anti-gun are wrong (and how the needle barely moves in the right direction after 20 years).

If you think that can be changed, you’re going to need to be specific about how (assuming it can be done, which you’ll also need to spell out), and how by then the damage won’t be irreversible, beyond any kind of beltway insider political “solution.” Instead of opinions, how about some verifiable numbers?

This is what Perez represents, and will base much of his DNC leadership on and the media will happily amplify his voice and ensure their “reporting” does all it can to evoke agreement with it, all the while portraying opponents as xenophobes, extremists and haters. What they won’t focus on are negatives that could call his credibility into questions such as:

Perez Dropped Voter Intimidation Charges Against Black Panthers Who Brought Weapons to a Polling Place … Perez Doesn’t Think White People Are Protected Under the Voting Rights Act … Perez Abandoned a Whistleblower Lawsuit That Cost Taxpayers Millions … He Used a Private Email Address to Dodge Accountability … He Continues to Ignore and Mislead Congress

Lacking some of Ellison’s more overt vulnerabilities and, up until now, name recognition, Perez will arguably be in a better position to advance his radical, subversive agenda. So it wouldn’t hurt to learn more about that agenda, and to share such information with others who would otherwise never hear of it.

After Trump Trolls Perez On Twitter, New Democrat Leader Vows To Be "Trump's Worst Nightmare"

For an indication of the current state of US political discourse, look no further than twitter.

Shortly after Democratic establishment favorite Tom Perez defeated Keith Ellison as the new DNC Chair, the Republican National Committee issued a statement slamming Democrats for being out of touch with the American people, a sentiment shared once again by many Bernie Sanders supporters, who saw the loss of Ellison as a symbolic perpetuation of the status quo.

"By selecting a D.C. insider, Democrats only create deeper divisions within their own party by pushing a far left agenda that rejects a majority of their base outside Washington," said chairwoman Ronna McDaniel.

"The DNC would be well-served to learn from two straight election cycle losses, encourage the leaders in their party to listen to what the voters want, and get to work with Republicans to fix the mess they created."

However it was Donald Trump"s trolling of Perez on twitter over his victory, saying he could not be happier for Perez or the GOP, that was the punchline of the day.

“Congratulations to Thomas Perez, who has just been named Chairman of the DNC. I could not be happier for him, or for the Republican Party!”

Perhaps Trump"s compliment was sincere: on Wednesady Trump weighed in on the DNC chair election, praising Keith Ellison for his 2015 prediction that Trump could win the Republican nomination. “One thing I will say about Rep. Keith Ellison, in his fight to lead the DNC, is that he was the one who predicted early that I would win!”

Then again perhaps not, because shortly after Trump"s tweet, Perez - best known during the Obama administration for getting accolades for "seasonally adjusting" America"s transformation into a part-time worker society, responded as follows: "Call me Tom. And don"t get too happy. @keithellison and I, and Democrats united across the country, will be your worst nightmare"

And just like that, another classic Twitter war was born, because while Americans may await (a long time) for Trump"s economic plans to be implemented, they will surely be entertained.

#DemExit: R.I.P. Democratic Party?

(ANTIMEDIA) After contentious debate, the Democratic Party has selected a new DNC chairman: Tom Perez. The choice, however, is not being celebrated by everyone in the party. In fact, the progressive so-called “Bernie Sanders wing” of the Democratic Party is up in arms, using the hashtag #DemExit, over Perez’ win.

Progressives favored Keith Ellison, who was backed by Bernie Sanders, and see Perez as another establishment tool that conspired to boost Hillary Clinton over Sanders in the 2016 primary. As The Intercept noted, Perez was overly friendly to big banks as secretary of labor under Obama, granting privileges to banks that plead guilty to market manipulation.

Calls for a #DemExit have now began to resurface, and Twitter has been flooded with disgruntled Democrats looking to leave the party. You can see the progressive meltdown unfold in the tweets below:
