Democratic Party Continues to Prove It Has Lost Touch With America
(ANTIMEDIA) – As President Trump’s presidency continues to spiral toward failure, mainstream opposition continues to follow the same path. Despite the president’s dismal approval rating, the Democratic Party can’t seem to come up with a meaningful strategy to appeal to millions of Americans who are dissatisfied with the country’s current leadership.
Their predicament was apparent this when the Democratic National Committee sent out a press release scolding Trump for failing to keep his promises on his proposed border wall. According to a screen shot tweeted by Business Insider reporter Allan Smith, the DNC attempted to stir inspiration by asserting that “Trump has failed to deliver on his signature promise to build a border wall and have Mexico pay for it.”
Hmmm. The DNC is going after Trump for his "empty promises on border wall." pic.twitter.com/mWGaiVkEkO

The Hill reported further, noting the DNC response to Trump’s failure to build the wall:
“REALITY: Construction on Trump’s border wall had not begun as of August 2017, and it had not even received funding yet.”
Though the DNC made it clear they do not support the wall plan, but rather, were attempting to highlight Trump’s lies, the attempt was lambasted on social media.
“If your strategy requires you to twist yourself into this big of a pretzel, it might be time for a better strategy,” tweeted Mike Casca, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio’s communication director.

The DNC also failed on a separate occasion this week — this time with a DNC mailer attempting to collect donations for the party. The shot of the envelope, tweeted by Business Insider reporter Andrew Saturn, displayed “FINAL NOTICE” stamped on the envelope.

— Andrew Saturn (@andsat) August 21, 2017
“The Democrats proving how disconnected from the working class they truly are: sending out donation pleas that look like collection letters,” Saturn, a self-described leftist, commented. He then claimed that though he didn’t have the full notice to tweet, it “start[ed] out like a collection letter than [sic] [slid] into generic DNC fundraising form letter.” Though one Twitter user argued it was likely a marketing firm that sent out the notices — and therefore, it wasn’t the DNC’s fault — the DNC’s lack of oversight in such a theoretical incident is just as damning.
Indeed, the DNC’s evidently misguided tactics are not translating into funds. New Republic reported this week that the party is lagging far behind the RNC when it comes to fundraising:
“In July, the DNC raised $3.8 million, lagging far behind its Republican counterpart, which raised $10.2 million in the same month. This is the worst haul for any month since January 2009, when Barack Obama was first inaugurated. Overall, during the first half of 2017, the RNC has pummeled the DNC, raising $75.4 million to the Democrats’ $38.2 million.”
Though the party is attempting to paint itself as the “resistance” to Trump and has earned funds for congressional elections in 2018, they are overall failing to garner significant financial support. Some of this is a result of the perception that they lack substance beyond opposing the president.
But it’s also over the party’s continued push toward the center as it ignores more progressive elements of the left. This is the exact tactic they used during the primary, when grassroots support overwhelmingly went to Bernie Sanders, a candidate the DNC intentionally undermined in favor of Hillary Clinton, one of the most loathed political figures in U.S. history. This caused many Democratic loyalists to leave the party.
For example, the DNC opted to place Tom Perez, an establishment Democrat, in charge of the DNC over Keith Ellison, a Berniecrat with a progressive agenda.
Their pick to make establishment politician Sen. Chuck Schumer the minority leader in Congress further reflects their unwillingness to budge and adapt (ironically, Schumer previously received thousands of dollars in campaign donations from Trump). So does an apparent push in favor of Kamala Harris, who is currently rising in the party. Many progressives skeptical of her ties to Wall Street swiftly rejected her.
As the New Republic wondered this week:
“Are they the party of transparency and small donors? Or will they continue to rely on wealthy individuals and corporations, under the cover of loose campaign finance laws that the party opposes in principle?”
Though the outlet noted it’s ultimately too early to tell just how serious the Democrats’ fundraising problem is, the Democrats’ outreach efforts are clearly falling short in the Trump era when they should have supporters flocking to them.

Democratic Operative Says Hillary Clinton’s DNC Claims Are “F***ing Bulls***”
(ZHE) Angry Democrats are pushing back against criticisms that Hillary Clinton levied against the party during an interview earlier this week, saying Clinton “mischaracterized” the DNC’s work and the quality of its data operation while “needlessly stoking internal divisions,” according to the Hill.
During an interview with Kara Swisher and Walt Mossberg at the Recode “Code” conference earlier this week, Clinton blamed the FBI, DNC, Russian agents – everyone but herself – for her stunning election loss in November. RNC Chair Ronna Romney McDaniel said Clinton’s comments were completely lacking in self-awareness.
Clinton has repeatedly blamed the DNC even though leaked emails have shown that the committee favored her during her primary fight against Sen. Bernie Sanders. Clinton blasted the committee as having “mediocre to poor, non-existent, wrong” data operation, the Hill reported. The remarks were also seen as a rebuke of President Obama, who chose the leaders of the DNC during his tenure.
This is all about the last campaign. And really, what Democrats should be focusing on, and what I think Hillary Clinton should be figuring out, is how do we empower the DNC to have the best data resources to win races this year, in 2018 and 2020,” a former DNC aide said.
“Having hard feelings about the data that you may or may not have received in 2016 ultimately is not the reason why we lost.”
The former secretary of state blamed the party’s polling data for failing to predict how close the race was in Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania – the three battleground states that ultimately handed the election to Trump. But at least one former DNCer vehemently pushed back against Clinton’s allegations, saying that she was trying to blame the DNC for her own lapse in judgment.
Andrew Therriault, who served as the DNC’s director of data science until last June, said Clinton’s claims were “f—ing bulls—” in a series of tweets that have since been deleted.
Therriault accused Clinton’s team of ignoring DNC data that warned of a close race in the three states that, by narrow margins, ultimately handed Trump his Electoral College victory: Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania.
“All that said, irony of her bashing DNC data: *our* models never had mi/wi/pa looking even close to safe. Her team thought they knew better,” Therriault wrote.
As the Hill reports, Clinton made several appearances in Pennsylvania during the final months of the campaign, including on the eve of the election. But she spent little time campaigning in Michigan and Wisconsin. Ultimately, both states flipped from the Democrats to the GOP column for the first time in decades.
Another Democratic operative – identified as a “strong Clinton supporter – noted that North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper used the same data that Clinton had access to, but managed to win in a battleground state that went for Trump.
John Hagner, a Democratic consultant who tapped the same DNC database while working on congressional and gubernatorial races last cycle, said Clinton misfired in criticizing the data in lieu of the campaign operatives entrusted to use it effectively.
The data are merely the “raw ingredients,” he said, while the targeting operation is “the chef that decides what to do with them.” The chef, in this case, was Clinton’s campaign team.
“Roy Cooper used the same data in North Carolina and won,” Hagner said Thursday by phone, referring to the state’s newly elected Democratic governor. “So it’s not that the data didn’t work, it’s that you have to make different decisions with it.
“Singling out the DNC, which does the best that they can do with a system that’s hard to work with, blaming them and not the decisions that got made with that data — which is definitely her campaign’s responsibility — just seemed really off-key.”
The Republicans, for their part, quickly capitalized on Hillary’s contentious remarks, highlighting her comments in press releases sent to reporters with subject lines like “We Finally Agree With Hillary” the Hill reported.
For reasons that we’ll probably never understand, the DNC decided not to hit back against Hillary. Instead, the organization sent the Hill a statement highlighting new DNC Chairman Tom Perez’s efforts to improve party infrastructure.
“Tom has said before that the DNC was not firing on all cylinders and that’s why he did a top-to-bottom review that included technology,” DNC spokesman Michael Tyler said.
“Tom is already deeply engaged with the outpouring of support from Democrats across the country, from Silicon Valley to suburban Georgia, who want to help improve the data and tech, get it in the hands of more organizers everywhere, and build the grassroots funding stream required to support those efforts.”
Unsurprisingly, Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz didn’t return a call for comment – despite, as the Hill noted, serving as DNC Chair for nearly all of the Clinton primary campaign.

The DNC chairman is now resorting to pathetic LIES to attack Donald Trump
Democratic Party boss goes on unhinged rant
(INTELLIHUB) — Newly elected Democratic National Committee chairman and Obama operative Tom Perez has become the latest Democrat to go off the deep end after he was recorded directly lying Friday during a speech in Newark, New Jersey.
Speaking during a rally hosted by the New Jersey Working Families Alliance, Perez congratulated protesters who attempted to shut down the inauguration in January before moving into flat out crazy territory.
“Donald Trump you don’t stand for our values,” Perez yelled. “Donald Trump you didn’t win the election.”
That’s right, the head of the Democratic Party either literally doesn’t understand the Constitution or thinks his supporters are so stupid that they could actually believe that Trump lost an election that in reality he won in an electoral landslide.
Laughably, Perez also desperately told the liberals in the crowd that the Republican Party “doesn’t give a shit” about them.
This rant comes on the heels of Perez asking the entire staff of the DNC to turn in their resignation letters in what was effectively a full-scale house clearing of the entire party that many believe was targeted at outing Bernie Sanders supporters.
“Sources have revealed that shortly after Perez was elected as party chairman, an adviser for disgraced outgoing DNC Interim Chair Donna Brazile asked every employee to submit a letter of resignation by April 15,” reported Intellihub News.
“Despite claims by some in the party that this is normal, we are clearly seeing a response to not only the Democrats losing the election but also controversy within the party after it was revealed that most of the DNC worked against Bernie Sanders in the primary.”
An NBC report on the purge noted that the party is dealing with major turmoil after one of their worst years in history.
“It began with accusations that the DNC favored Hillary Clinton over Bernie Sanders in the Democratic primary, continued with the wrenching exposure of hacked emails and the abrupt resignation of former chair, Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, and concluded with the shocking defeat of its presidential nominee and a divisive race for the new party chairman.”
The stunning election victory by Donald Trump has literally turned liberals on their heads with the result being insane rants by the likes of Tom Perez and Maxine Waters that only hurt the embattled party more.

DNC purge: Corrupt Democratic National Committee fires ALL staffers
DNC cleaning house after election loss
(INTELLIHUB) — New Democratic National Committee Chairman Tom Perez has asked the entire staff of the DNC to turn in their resignation letters amid major party turmoil after November’s stunning defeat, according to a report by NBC News.
The report claims that sources have revealed that shortly after Perez was elected as party chairman, an adviser for disgraced outgoing DNC Interim Chair Donna Brazile asked every employee to submit a letter of resignation by April 15.
“A committee advising Perez on his transition is now interviewing staff and others as part of a top-to-bottom review process to decide not only who will stay and who will go, but how the party should be structured in the future,” reported NBC News.
Despite claims by some in the party that this is normal, we are clearly seeing a response to not only the Democrats losing the election but also controversy within the party after it was revealed that most of the DNC worked against Bernie Sanders in the primary.
Noting that 2016 was one of the most difficult years ever for the party, the NBC report continued, “It began with accusations that the DNC favored Hillary Clinton over Bernie Sanders in the Democratic primary, continued with the wrenching exposure of hacked emails and the abrupt resignation of former chair, Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, and concluded with the shocking defeat of its presidential nominee and a divisive race for the new party chairman.”
Keep in mind that the so-called “accusations” are in reality absolute fact and that is was not only Schultz who worked against Sanders as it was also revealed by Wikileaks that Brazile herself had given the Clinton campaign questions that were going to be asked at a CNN town hall.
After months of denial, Brazile admitted the mistake while blaming the Russians for the entire fiasco.
Clearly we are seeing a major shakeup within the Democratic Party and when you consider Perez’s ties to the establishment it only makes sense that this is a purge of the pro-Sanders wing of the party.
Remember, some within the DNC openly rebelled against the party elite after it was revealed that they had been working against Sanders, even going as far as holding a vote to abolish the super delegate rule. Although the vote failed, 58 delegates voted for it.
As we reported at the time, “Though a stinging defeat for those who campaigned in favor of the rule change, spearheaded largely by Bernie Sanders delegates and progressive advocacy groups, supporters took solace that because more than one-quarter of the committee voted ‘yes’ they will able to introduce a minority report during the full convention next week and demand a floor vote.”
