Scientists Warn: PREPARE NOW For A Mini ICE AGE As The Sun Cools

Scientists are all seemingly on the same page for once and declaring that the sun’s decreased output could fling Earth into a mini ice age.  The scientists determined, based on 20 years of observations and collected data, that the sun will be nearly seven percent cooler and dimmer by 2050 causing a mini ice age.

According to Money Control, a research team based at the University of California in San Diego believe that they have figured out a way to track the sun’s 11-year-cycle. Our sun goes through an 11-year-cycle where it experiences active and rather quiet periods, known as the solar maximum and solar minimum. Now, the researchers believe they have worked out when the next solar minimum could occur.

During a solar minimum, the sun’s magnetism decreases, fewer sunspots form, and less ultraviolet radiation actually makes it to the surface of planet Earth. These conditions mean the sun’s surface appears clearer and becomes dimmer.

According to the study, conditions in the next cold period labeled as a “grand minimum”, could be similar to those experienced in Europe in the middle of the 17th century. Back then, the River Thames froze as a result of the extremely low temperatures. Low temperatures also caused the Baltic Sea to freeze in 1968. Scientists claim that the period, known as the ‘Maunder Minimum’ was similar to a mini ice age. The head of the research team, Dan Lubin, believes we may experience even worse conditions in 2050.

“This whole global warming fiasco had nothing to do with global warming,” said Joe Joseph during The Daily Sheeple’s News Shot.  “It was to prepare the elite for the coming ice age.”

“Which is exactly what we’ve been seeing if you observe what’s going on in the background. ” Joseph continues. “Folks, the [sic] are so many things that are going on in plain sight that we don’t see because we’re flooded with all of this information, and all of this input our lives have been so overly complicated by the array of crap that we’ve just surrounded ourselves with…it’s no surprise that we don’t see what’s actually going on right in front of our faces,” he said.

Scientists estimates claim that the grand minimum would most likely cool the earth by about 0.25 percent between 2020 and 2070. As a result, the surface of the earth would cool by up to several tenths of a degree Celsius. The study said that when the sun’s energy is reduced, the first thing that occurs is the thinning of the stratospheric ozone layer. “That thinning, in turn, changes the temperature structure of the stratosphere, which then changes the dynamics of the lower atmosphere, especially wind and weather patterns,” scientists noted.

But Joseph breaks it down simply. “The sun is cooling down,” he said. “The sun is going quiet, and because the sun is going quiet, it is having effects on our planet and the other planets around us.” This begs the question: are we prepared for another ice age?

You could be. Prepare now, the worst is yet to come.

San Diego Continues Desperate Attempt To Control Hepatitis A Outbreak

San Diego is desperately trying to control a Hepatitis A outbreak brought on by the homeless problem plaguing the state of California. The city has now opened the first of three giant tents meant to contain the outbreak of the deadly virus.

The first of three industrial-sized tents to house the homeless as part of the city’s efforts to contain a hepatitis A outbreak.  The outbreak itself stems from the deplorable conditions people were living in on the streets – mainly, the fecal matter that is left from those who live on the street.  Of course, the government isn’t going to climb off the backs of their residents in California, instead, they will continue to raise taxes and create more homeless people while desperately and frantically trying to stop the problems that their overbearing government has caused.

About 20 people made their way to a bunk bed Friday in the tent that will house 350 single men and women. Two other giant tents will open later this month — one specifically for families and one for veterans. The tents will house a total of 700 people with an attempt to keep them from defecating on the street and spreading the Hepatitis A virus. 

More than 3000 people are homeless in San Diego, and risk contracting the disease which has killed 20 people so far.  The city had to divert $6.5 million budgeted for permanent housing to fund the operation of the tents for seven months. The tents will provide an array of services from mental health care to housing navigators. But the city still faces an acute housing shortage for the poor. Faulconer has earmarked more than $80 million in stolen (taxpayer) funds to address the problem. So the city wants to fix poverty by taking more from earners and creating more poverty.  Bravo, California.

Local residents are concerned that the homeless will simply bring their disease with them.  Gemma Librado lives a block away from the tent that opened Friday. Last Sunday, a homeless man high on drugs and with a bleeding hand ran into her apartment when she opened the door and locked himself in her bathroom. She and her 6-year-old son ran out of the apartment and called the police. The man broke things in her bathroom, left bloodstains on her floor, and scared her and her child. “If this makes things more orderly than I support this,” she said. “But I’m worried. I don’t want this to bring in more homeless to the area and people using drugs. There are families with children around here.”

A middle school teacher was detained for over an hour by U.S. Border Patrol agents, after she refused to comply with their “citizenship check,” when driving through New Mexico — inside the United States — far from the Mexican border.

Shane Parmely, a teacher at Bell Middle School in San Diego, refused to answer when she was asked by a border patrol agent if she was a “citizen.” She told ABC 10 that she did not comply with the officers to protest the fact that border agents have been unjustly targeting and profiling Latino drivers.

When Parmely pulled up to the checkpoint, in a car with her two children, one of the officers demanded to know if they were citizens.

“Citizens?” the agent barked.

“Are we crossing a border?” Parmely responded.

“No. Are you United States citizens?” the agent repeated.

“Are we crossing a border? I’ve never been asked if I’m a citizen before when I’m traveling down the road,” Parmely repeated defiantly.

When Parmely attempted to assert her rights, the agent told her that “You are required to answer an immigration question. You are not required to answer any other questions.”

Then Parmely asked the agent, “So if I just come through and say, ‘Yes, I’m a citizen,’ I can just go ahead?”

“If the agent is justified by the answer, then yes,” he responded.

Parmely then explained that she knew people who were unjustly targetted because of the color of their skin. “So if I have an accent, and I’m brown, can I just say, ‘Yes,’ and go ahead or do I have to prove it? I have a bunch of teacher friends who are sick of their kids being discriminated against,” she said.

Parmely continued to stand her ground, and she was eventually let go without answering the agents’ questions.

In response to the incident, Border Patrol Spokesman Mark Endicott released a statement justifying the actions of the agents:

“Border Patrol checkpoints are a critical tool for the enforcement of our nation’s immigration laws. At a Border Patrol checkpoint, an agent may question a vehicle’s occupants about their citizenship, place of birth, and request document proof of immigration status, how legal status was obtained and make quick observations of what is in plain view in the interior of the vehicle. During the course of the immigration inspection, if an occupant refuses to answer an agent’s questions, the agent may detain the driver for a reasonable amount of time until he or she can make a determination regarding the occupant’s immigration status.”

In a Facebook post after the encounter, Parmely said, “Enforcing racist laws perpetuates institutional racism. I’m sick of helping perpetuate racist laws just because I’m not inconvenienced by them.”

When Parmely refused to tell the agents whether or not she was a citizen, one of the officers showed her a card showing the current immigration laws and a supreme court decision that allegedly gives them the right to ask drivers if they are citizens—if they happen to be within 100 miles of the US border. This ruling has created what many activists have called a “constitution free zone.” Two-thirds of the United States’ population, about 200 million people live in this area.

It is important to mention that these powers are disputed by the American Civil Liberties Union, who suggests that border patrol agents claim to have more authority than they actually do.

According to the ACLU:

“8 U.S.C. § 1357(a)(3) addresses CBP officials’authority to stop and conduct searches on vessels, trains, aircraft, or other vehicles anywhere within ‘a reasonable distance from any external boundary of the United States.’ Without further statutory guidance, regulations alone expansively define this ‘reasonable distance’ as 100 air miles from any external boundary of the U.S., including coastal boundaries, unless an agency official sets a shorter distance.1CBP agentscan also even enter private property without a warrant (excepting dwellings) within 25 miles of any border. In this 100-mile zone, CBP has claimed certain extra-constitutional powers. For instance, Border Patrol claims the authority tooperate immigration checkpoints. Agents, nevertheless, cannot pull anyone over without ‘reasonable suspicion’ of an immigration violation or crime (more than just a ‘hunch’). Similarly, courts have determined that outside of Ports of Entry Border Patrol cannot search vehicles in the 100-mile zone without a warrant or ‘probable cause’ (a reasonable belief, based on the circumstances, that an immigration violation or crime has occurred). In practice, Border Patrol agents routinely ignore or misunderstand the limits of their legal authority, violating the constitutional rights of innocent people. Although the 100-mile border zone is not literally ‘Constitution-free,’ CBP frequently acts like it is.”

Disturbing Video Shows Cops Hold Handcuffed Man Down as K9 Tears Into Him

San Diego, CA — An extremely graphic and disturbing video was uploaded to Facebook this week showing San Diego police officers allowing a K9 to maul a handcuffed man.

The horrifying video begins as the man is on the ground in handcuffs. Instead of the officers attempting to get the dog off the man, two of them hold him down as the K9 tears into his forearm.

No commands to get the K9 to release are given and there is absolutely no reason to even have the dog near him.

Exactly why police were apprehending the man remains unclear as The Free Thought Project’s calls to the San Diego police department have not been returned. However, it doesn’t matter what the man did prior to being mauled by the K9 as he was in handcuffs, face down on the ground, and posed absolutely no threat to anyone.

The video, taken and uploaded by Facebook user Angel Nunez, was posted with the following description.

So today at work I was able to capture this go down. This K-9 officer had no control of his K-9. There is something definitely wrong with this picture. The officer doesn’t seem to have the proper training. Also that dog is not we’ll trained……

Nunez also posted another video that showed a bit of what happened prior to the man being put into handcuffs.

In the brief first video, the man clearly appears to have some mental issues. He is unarmed, wearing nothing but shorts, and walking in the street, when the officer unleashes the dog on him.

“Show me your hands! Show me your hands!” screams the officer as his K9 brings the man to the ground.

Amazingly enough, the man manages to show one hand as the K9 tears into his wrist.

“Snap clip I captured……clearly you hear the Officer scream a command in a distinctive language at the K-9. why was the same command not giving to release the suspect????” Nunez wrote to Facebook.

Nunez brings up a good point. the officer was surely able to command his dog to attack, however, he was entirely inept at getting him to stop.

As the next video begins, the man is already subdued, laying on the ground and, for no good reason, the dog is biting his arm.

His screams of agony are hard to bear.

“I’m comfortable. I’m comfortable,” the shirtless, shoeless man repeated over and over as the cop refused to give the dog the release command.

The scene is so horrifying that onlookers begin yelling at the officers to get their K9 under control. Instead of helping to remove the K9 from the man’s arm, the other officers held him down and yelled at the witnesses to “get back!”

As TFTP has reported before, the San Diego police department has a brutal history involving their K9s.

A gruesome body cam was released in December showing cops needlessly and sadistically sic a K9 on an unarmed naked man who posed absolutely zero threat to the half-dozen cops who had him completely surrounded.

The incident happened in August of 2015, however, the body camera footage was kept secret for over a year. If you have the strength to watch the entire video, you will know exactly why it was kept a secret.

At 8:30 that August morning, police received a phone call about a naked man walking through a canyon. This man had not attempted to harm anyone and the only ‘crime’ he’d committed when police arrived was to simply be naked.

The man, a 25-year-old businessman who was in San Diego for a convention, admitted that he ended up naked in the canyon after a particularly hard night of partying. However, when seeing how police reacted upon confronting the man, you would think he was a serial child murderer.

What these two videos illustrate is the dire lack of training within the San Diego police department. These videos are evidence enough that something needs to happen immediately.

DUI Checkpoints Now Include Mouth Swabs that Can Tell If You Smoked Pot Days Ago

San Diego, CA – On St. Patrick’s Day, California’s southernmost metropolis decided to debut a roadside test for those suspected of driving under the influence of cannabis. Several “sobriety checkpoints” were set up throughout the city with the standard invasions of privacy, but this time they added a mouth swab test known as the Drager 5000.

If a cop suspects a driver of being high, they request that he or she take the mouth swab test, and perhaps a field sobriety test as well. They’re trying to gather evidence to incriminate you, although the mouth swab test is not mandatory.

The Drager 5000, already in use in other countries and cities such as Los Angeles and New York, detects the presence of various substances, including THC, the psychoactive ingredient in cannabis. The problem is, this test has absolutely zero ability to test actual impairment or level of intoxication.

But a positive reading can give cops the excuse for the more invasive procedure of a blood test. According to The San Diego Union-Tribune:

“Officers trained to recognize the symptoms of drug impairment will first look for various indicators that a driver is high, from an unsafe driving maneuver to bloodshot eyes to the odor of marijuana to blank stares, San Diego police Officer Emilio Ramirez said. Once there is ample suspicion of drug use, the officer can then request to perform field sobriety tests or for a driver to take the Dräger 5000 test.

If the driver refuses at that point, the officer can force the person to submit to a blood test.

To use the machine, the driver is handed a mouth swab and instructed to run it around the inside of the mouth for up to four minutes. The swab is then placed into the machine, along with a vial of testing solution, and the machine does its work. It takes about six to eight minutes for results to print out on a receipt.

A positive result will likely send the driver to a police phlebotomist for a blood test to determine precise drug levels.”

Even a negative result could lead to a mandatory blood test if the officer still suspects impairment.

“If the mouth swab test is negative but the officer still has a suspicion of impairment, then a blood draw might still be mandated, because the Dräger 5000 only measures for seven kinds of narcotics, Ramirez said.”

And if you can’t make bail, you’ll be sitting in jail for weeks or months awaiting the blood test results. For many people, this would mean being fired from their job, or being ripped away from their family, or some other life-altering repercussion – all because a cop invaded your privacy at an unconstitutional roadblock.

The Drager 5000 can give positive results for THC even if the person did not even use cannabis that day. If it’s legal to use cannabis – as in California – and the swab test can detect THC from days prior, there is absolutely no rationale for deploying the machine. Despite the fact that someone can be perfectly sober and still test positive, this “evidence” is admissible in court.

San Diego Police Chief Shelley Zimmerman played on fears over legalization to justify their fancy new $6,000 machines, saying, “It’s a huge concern of ours with the legalization of marijuana that we’re going to see an increase in impaired drugged driving.”

The funny thing is, results from St. Patrick’s Day field sobriety checkpoints showed a decrease in the number of DUI arrests. At one checkpoint, six people were arrested, down from nearly a dozen the year before.

One person was going to submit to the mouth swab test for cannabis, but the ordeal gave him an anxiety attack that required medical attention. The cops went ahead and arrested him for DUI afterward.

“We did have one person, who was going to submit a test, but unfortunately had some sort of anxiety attack in secondary to the point where we actually had to get medical attention for him and then later arrested him for DUI,” said Officer Mark McCollough.

Clearly, the Drager 5000 mouth swab test serves no actual purpose in addressing impaired driving but is just another tool of the police state being rationalized by the legalization of cannabis.

Thousands of mics and cameras to be installed in San Diego for ‘data harvesting’

General Electric, in conjunction with AT&T and Intel Corp, is set to install cameras, microphones, and sensors on 3,200 streetlights in San Diego this year, beginning in July. The installations are part of a new “smart city” scheme that aims to monitor traffic and crime.

With this news has also come many questioning whether this is an overreach into personal privacy, which is something that wasn’t properly investigated prior to approving this plan. Jen Lebron of the mayor’s office said, “it’s anonymous data with no personal identifiers,” since apparently the video quality will be low enough to individual identification.

However, this seems somewhat contradictory to what the new technology is meant for, which is, according to GE and the city, “to locate gunshots, estimate crowd sizes, check vehicle speeds and other tasks.” This begs the question, how can the technology properly monitor crime if it the cameras don’t record detailed video? While the new additions might not be infringing on personal privacy, it will certainly collect data that, as a whole, people may be opposed to being a part of. Especially because the city stated that it intends to make the data available to businesses.

“San Diego is a very early adopter. While it’s a smallish deal in dollars it’s the biggest deal of this kind yet,” said Maryrose Sylvester, chief executive officer of GE Current.

Everyone seems to be in agreement of the fact that this deal is revolutionary and that San Diego will be one of the first cities to test the “internet of things” technology that GE Current already provides for private buildings. One added benefit is that the information could be made available to developers who are interested in creating apps. Apps that show the safest way to walk home or locate available parking spaces could be a result of this new technology.

Data from the new nodes will be available as early as this fall, and the technology was wrapped into a $30 million deal that San Diego struck with GE for a light upgrade that will save the city an estimated $2.4 million every year.

Will San Diego Help End The NFL's Addiction To Taxpayer Money?

Cheering for the home team can unify communities divided by politics, economics, and personal differences. However, this unification can come at a high cost, one that will inevitably fall to the taxpayer. While it is typical for professional athletic associations to use tax dollars to pay for their stadiums, arenas, or other venues of choice, public subsidies are not the only means to this end, nor are they the most efficient.

The National Football League (NFL) has defended its use of public subsidies for new infrastructure by claiming that new facilities will serve to benefit the public. Promises of economic booms and job growth are typically used to justify the use of public funds for athletic purposes, though the rhetoric rarely matches the reality of the situation.

Last week, San Diego residents took a powerful stand against professional athletic subsidies.

For over a year, the Chargers have been threatening to leave San Diego unless the city agrees to provide a new stadium for the team’s use. Two separate proposals were placed on the ballot for consideration, each promising to raise the hotel tax and accept public subsidies for the construction of a new stadium. Fortunately, both measures were overwhelming rejected by San Diego voters.

However, while the public was only given two options, both of which would have come at the expense of the taxpayer, there was a third option that did not make it on the ballot.

Former San Diego City Councilman, Carl DeMaio, proposed a plan for a new Chargers stadium that would utilize private funding instead of taxpayer subsidies.

Partnering with several prominent real estate developers and contractors, all from the private sector, DeMaio and his team designed a proposal which promised to utilize, “a creative design that mixes 365-days of hotel, retail, and event uses.”

By creating a more diverse facility, whose services are not limited to football alone, DeMaio’s plan opens the door to a broader range of investors. Additionally, San Diego only hosts ten NFL events per year, so there will often be periods of time when the new stadium goes unused. Since DeMaio’s plan would create a multi-use infrastructure, with the potential to bring in revenue 365 days a year, the economic benefits of his plan are undeniable, especially when considering the new jobs that will be created as a result.

One of the main ideas behind the private stadium proposal is the notion that those who fund the project should also be the ones who profit from its success. Currently, individuals are forced to fund athletic venues with their tax dollars while the team itself reaps the benefits from the profits earned. DeMaio’s plan would allow the NFL team to profit when it uses the stadium, but it would also allow the retail, hotel, and other investors to bring in revenue and make a profit when the stadium would have otherwise gone unused.

Now that both stadium measures have failed to gain public support, the Chargers may be more open to exploring unconventional funding options. While no one is sure what the team’s next move will be, DeMaio’s private stadium proposal is still very much in play and is needed now, more than ever.

To be sure, local support for professional athletics has been, and will continue to be, a great tool for bringing communities together. However, there are better ways to bring about this desired goal than forcing taxpayers to subsidize professional sports associations.
