False Flags Launch Wars

False Flags Launch Wars | united-states-False-Flag-war | CIA False Flags Government Corruption US News War Propaganda World News

They also escalate ongoing conflicts – incidents staged to deceive, one party falsely accused of something conducted by someone else.

They’re a longstanding US tradition since at least the mid-19th century.

The mother of all 9/11 false flags launched one imperial war after another, pretexts to rape and destroy nations, no end of what’s going on in sight.

Most Americans are none the wiser or indifferent about the highest of high crimes committed by their government – Republicans and Democrats pursuing the same imperial agenda.

It recklessly risks eventual nuclear war, the ultimate doomsday scenario.

It’s possible and perhaps likely. JFK assassination documents declassified in 2016 (released last year) included a three-page memo initially marked “top secret.”

In it, the US National Security Council (NSC) explained a false flag never conducted, using purchased Soviet Russian aircraft to justify war on the country, saying:

“There is a possibility that such aircraft could be used in a deception operation designed to confuse enemy planes in the air, to launch a surprise attack against enemy installations or in a provocation operation in which Soviet aircraft would appear to attack US or friendly installations to provide an excuse for US intervention.”

The memo revealed that the NSC and CIA considered buying Soviet aircraft (from one or more non-Soviet block countries using them) to conduct a false flag attack, blamed on Moscow.

The CIA decided the plan was too risky, saying in the memo: “The fact that the United States was actively engaged in attempts to defect pilots of supposedly friendly countries might be revealed.”

Pulling off the scheme would require a “maximum security area,” adding otherwise it would be “most difficult to conceal the existence of such aircraft from the prying eyes of the American press and public.”

Lunatics infesting Washington make the unthinkable possible. Jack Kennedy commented on similar ones in his day, wanting to nuke Soviet Russia while America had a big advantage.

In response to General Lyman Lemnitzer urging a surprise attack, Kennedy stormed out of a National Security Council meeting discussing it.

He wanted none of it remarking: “And we call ourselves the human race.”

Dwight Eisenhower warned against the military-industrial complex’s “acquisition of unwarranted influence,” recognizing the danger of “misplaced power…”

Hawkish former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright once asked: “What’s the point of having this superb military…if we (don’t) use it?”

America has been a warrior state from inception, notably post-WW II, especially after the likely CIA-staged 9/11 false flag incident, perhaps jointly with Israel’s Mossad.

Russia is Washington’s longtime sworn enemy. Is war between both countries inevitable? Will Syria be the flashpoint launching confrontation between the world’s dominant nuclear powers?

Did the April 7 false flag Douma CW incident make an eventual clash between both countries more likely?

Growing evidence shows no incident occurred, discussed in previous articles. German ZDF public broadcaster journalist Uli Gack provided more.

He visited an East Ghouta refugee camp near the site of the alleged incident. People he spoke to explained “in a very convincing manner that this whole story was staged.”

US-supported terrorists alone used CWs numerous times throughout years of war. Days earlier, Syrian forces discovered a warehouse in liberated Douma with toxic substances used by terrorists to produce CWs.

Over the weekend, they uncovered a makeshift CW factory and storerooms, located in underground bunkers of sorts beneath residential buildings, connected by tunnels.

Gack is the latest journalist to debunk the falsified official narrative. So did others, likely more to come.

Yet the official Big Lie sticks because major Western media support it – complicit in the deception.

It’s just a matter of time before another high-profile false flag attack occurs in Syria – a pretext for more US-led aggression, likely something much more ferocious than earlier.

Is all-out war on the country coming? Is going this far crossing a red line Russia won’t tolerate?

Will flashpoint in Syria risk direct confrontation between Moscow and Washington?

Trump is no Jack Kennedy. Strongly influenced by neocon extremists makes unthinkable conflict between both countries possible – maybe likely.

US Wants OPCW to Rubber-Stamp Official Falsified Douma Narrative

US Wants OPCW to Rubber-Stamp Official Falsified Douma Narrative | douma-OPCW-chemical-weapons-syria | US News War Propaganda World News

The chemical weapons watchdog is notoriously pro-Western. Its year ago fact-finding mission on the alleged Khan Sheikhoun CW incident falsified results.

Will its Douma analysis produce similar findings to please Washington and its imperial allies? Its credibility long ago was lost.

No Douma CW incident occurred – confirmed by area medical personnel and Russian toxic weapons experts. Will the OPCW refute them, further tarnishing its credibility as an impartial body?

Washington’s dirty hands pressured the organization to confirm its falsified Douma accusations.

On Monday, the Trump administration’s OPCW envoy Kenneth Ward addressed the organization’s executive council in the Hague, turning truth on its head, saying:

“On April 7…the Syrian city of Douma came under an intense chemical weapons attack which killed dozens of innocent civilians and injured hundreds more.”

“Initial reports indicate the attack in Douma could result in a similar level of civilian casualties as experienced by the town of Khan Shaykhun last year.”

Fact: No evidence suggests a CW attack occurred in either location – no victims identified, no one killed or ill from CW exposure, no toxic residues found.

Ward lied claiming otherwise!

“After years of repeated and systematic use of chemical weapons, the chemical weapons attack in Douma represents yet another escalation of (Assad’s) barbaric chemical weapons attacks on its own people,” he roared, adding:

Assad “continues to terrorize (his) own citizens despite international condemnation for (the) use of chemical weapons.”

“This use has been confirmed by the independent and impartial OPCW-United Nations Joint Investigative Mechanism.”

“It remains undeniable that the Syrian Government is in flagrant, indeed contemptuous, violation of international law, including the Chemical Weapons Convention and United Nations Security Council resolutions.”

Fact: All of the above are flagrant, malicious, despicable bald-faced lies. Cold hard facts refute Ward’s contempt for truth-telling – practically instructing the OPCW to support the official falsified Douma narrative.

Ward: “(I)t is our understanding the Russian Federation may have visited the attack site. We are concerned they may have tampered with it with the intent of thwarting the efforts of the OPCW Fact-Finding Mission to conduct an effective investigation. This raises serious questions about the ability of the FFM to do its job.”

Fact: The above remarks represent further strong-arm pressure on the OPCW to support phony US Douma incident accusations.

Ward: “On 13 April, US, French, and British forces undertook military operations…were focused on degrading Syria’s chemical weapons capabilities and deterring further use…”

Fact: US-led aggression had nothing to do with targeting alleged Syrian CW facilities which don’t exist – everything to do with escalating regime change efforts, mainly by targeting Syrian military sites.

Fact: A same-day article explained the true targets aimed at – foiled by Syrian air defense systems, practically assuring a repeat of what happened overnight Friday.

Ward: “The military strikes by the United States of America and our allies were legitimate, proportionate, and justified.”

Fact: The strikes constituted US-led naked aggression against a sovereign state – the highest of high crimes.

Ward: “The United States of America has tried repeatedly to use diplomatic, economic, and political tools to stop the Assad regime’s use of chemical weapons.”

Fact: A bald-faced lie! No evidence suggests Syrian CW use at any time during years of war – these toxins only used by US-supported terrorists.

Fact: Washington is a serial aggressor, rejecting diplomacy, targeting sovereign governments it wants eliminated, naked aggression its favored strategy.

Ward: “(T)he Russian Federation has stood in the way of every effort the United States of America and our partners have taken to address this unacceptable situation.”

“The Russian Federation has repeatedly undermined efforts at the OPCW to pressure the regime to surrender its remaining chemical weapons stockpiles and completely dismantle its program.”

“The Russian Federation has also used its veto power six times over the past year to block United Nations Security Council resolutions and prevent (Syria) from being held accountable for its continuous use of chemical weapons.”

Fact: All of the above are bald-faced lies. Russia vetoed SC resolutions certain to result in escalated aggression, maybe all-out war, if adopted.

Ward: “(T)he Russian Federation took away the world’s ability to attribute the chemical weapons attacks in Syria by vetoing the renewal of the OPCW-United Nations Joint Investigative Mechanism (JIM) – an impartial, independent technical body mandated to investigate responsibility for chemical weapons use in Syria.”

Fact: Another bald-faced lie! Last November, Russia and Washington vetoed each other’s SC resolutions on extending the JIM.

Moscow proposed 12 months until May 2018. Washington wanted another 24 months.

Its diabolical text included a provision for invoking the UN Charter’s Chapter VII, authorizing “action by air, sea, or land forces as may be necessary to maintain or restore international peace and security.”

Russia responsibly vetoed a resolution assuring escalated aggression if adopted.

JIM conclusions on last April’s Khan Sheikhoun incident were biased, distorted and one-sided. OPCW inspectors never visited sites requiring examination.

Russia called its report sloppy and “amateurish,” based on “a layman’s methodology,” lacking credibility. Moscow’s draft SC resolution called for revising JIM’s conclusions.

OPCW work failed to conform to international standards – likely on order from Washington. Its analysis was based on phony evidence supplied by anti-Syrian sources, including the al-Qaeda-linked White Helmets.

Ward’s remarks to the OPCW executive council sounded like a script prepared for Nikki Haley – despicable beginning-to-end bald-faced lies!

Interview With Boy In ‘Chemical Attack’ Video: ‘We Didn’t See Any Chemical Attack Symptoms’

A new interview with the now infamous boy in the alleged chemical attack video used as a justification for the United States-led bombing of Syria is adding more doubt to the official narrative.  The boy says he was told to go to the hospital where people started dousing him with water.

One of the main “characters” in the footage at the hospital is a water-soaked boy, who is seen being sprayed with water by people who claim to be “rescue workers.” It’s not clear whether they are doctors from the hospital, human rights activists, or White Helmets members. The latter usually make such videos and send them to news agencies, including Reuters.

In what could be the biggest fabrication in recent months, the Douma boy in the chemical attack video and his family have spoken about their ordeal to a Russian TV crew.  It sure appears that the chemical attack was “staged suffering” by the White Helmets.  The boy said that he was asked to go to the hospital, where people “grabbed” him and started “pouring water” over his head for no apparent reason.

Panic, fear, screaming adults, and frightened children featured in the purported footage of the aftermath following the alleged chemical attack in the Eastern Ghouta city. The video has been widely circulated by the mainstream media since April 7 after being posted by the so-called Douma Revolution group and “evidence” of the aftermath of the alleged attack.

A Russian broadcaster VGTRK said it found the boy in the video, who appeared to be 11-year-old Hassan Diab. His story differed from the one presented by the activists and later propagated by the mainstream media.

Hassan said he was in the basement with his mother, who said they ran out of food when they heard some noise outside. When they went outside, they heard random shouting that they should go to the hospital, so they did. Somebody was shouting that we had to go to the hospital, so we went there. When I came in, some people grabbed me and started pouring water over my head,” he told Evgeny Poddubny, a war correspondent from Russian broadcaster VGTRK. Hassan confirmed that he was the boy in the video, and was very scared when the whole situation unfolded. He is now fine and shows no symptoms of having experienced a chemical attack two weeks ago.

Instagram Photo

In an Instagram post, Poddubny claimed that 11-year-old Hassan got some much-needed food in exchange for his participation in the staged video.  Hassan’s father’s story corroborates his son’s.  The boy was eventually found by his father, who said he didn’t hear about any chemical attack that day. I went to the hospital, walked upstairs, and found my wife and children. I asked them what had happened, and they said people outside were shouting about some smell and told them to go to the hospital. At the hospital, they gave dates and cookies to the kids,” he said.

One of the medical workers, who was reportedly on shift at the time, said he was surprised by the sudden influx. “Some people came here and washed people. They said: ‘Chemical attack. Chemical attack.’ We didn’t see any chemical attack symptoms, he added. He did, however, say that there were many people with respiratory problems as a result of dust from recent bombings in the city. British war journalist Robert Fisk also noted that that was the story he’d gotten when speaking with a doctor from Douma.

More importantly, The Independent‘s famous war journalist Robert Fisk haspublished a report which affirms the story so many western government lapdogs have been dismissing as Kremlin propaganda for days now. After interviewing a doctor from the hospital of the area where the Douma attack was supposed to have occurred, Fisk was told by Dr. Assim Rahaibani that what was in actuality an outbreak of respiratory distress among occupants of a dusty oxygen-deprived tunnel was made to look like the aftereffects of a chemical weapons attack when a member of the White Helmets started shouting about a gas attack in front of a bunch of video cameras. Everyone panicked and started hosing themselves down, but in the video, according to Rahaibani, “what you see are people suffering from hypoxia — not gas poisoning.” –SHTFPlan

Moscow is planning to show the video about Hassan’s experience at the next meeting of the United Nations Security Council, Russia’s UN envoy Vassily Nebenzia told Rossiya 1 on Thursday.

The U.S, the U.K., and France launched a coordinated attack on Syria using the video young Hassan says was staged as justification. Also damming for the West was that the timing of the strikes. The announcement of the attack on Syria came hours before the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) team was scheduled to arrive in Douma to determine whether chemical weapons had been used there.  It appears that the West was all too eager to destroy evidence, or lack thereof, of alleged chemical weapons use.

Syria Conflict Alert: Russia Claims To Have Found Syrian Rebel Chemical Weapons!

When the United States launched a joint attack on Damascus, Syria stating they were targeting chemical weapons facilities, many balked claiming it was too soon. That all appears to be correct, as Russia claims to have found chemical weapons: in the hands of the US and Saudi-backed jihadist rebels.

The Russian military says that it has found rebel chemical weapons stockpiles in the Syrian town hit by a suspected chemical attack, the town of Douma. And the US is now claiming Russia “hacked” the chemical weapons evidence.  And the rhetoric continues. It wasn’t a far enough stretch to accuse Russia of “hacking the election,” so the US is taking it one step further in their quest to advance a war.

While Russia’s foreign ministry warns that Western powers are interfering with OPCW’s work in Syria (noting that the chemical weapons experts’ access to Douma is being hampered by remaining militants, supported by Washington), as Caitlin Johnstone details, we are now being told by US officials (and I assure you I am not making this up) that if the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons doesn’t find evidence that the Syrian government conducted a chemical weapons attack in Douma last week, it’s because Russia hid the evidence. –Zerohedge

Alexander Rodionov of the military’s chemical weapons protection unit said Tuesday its experts found chlorine and components for producing mustard gas at a rebel laboratory in Douma. Rodionov said the canister with chlorine was similar to the one shown in images released by activists, according to The Associated Press.

Given the immense dearth of evidence we’ve been seeing in support of the establishment Douma narrative and the mounting pile of evidence contradicting it, it sure does make the United States government and its mainstream media propaganda arm look like the liars most of us already know they are. The problem is, however, the media and the corrupt government are ramping up for a war and their rhetoric could be paid for with our lives, so this is an incredibly big deal.

More importantly, The Independent‘s famous war journalist Robert Fisk has published a report which affirms the story so many western government lapdogs have been dismissing as Kremlin propaganda for days now. Everyone panicked and started hosing themselves down, but in the video, according to Rahaibani, “what you see are people suffering from hypoxia — not gas poisoning.”

Fisk’s report was independently backed up by a reporter from One America News Network named Pearson Sharp, who gave a detailed account of his interviews with officials, doctors, as well as many civilians on the street. Sharp says he deliberately selected at random in order to avoid accusations of bias. Many people interviewed hadn’t even heard that a chemical weapons attack had taken place and the ones who had said it was staged by Jaysh al-Islam. The staff at the hospital, including a medic-in-training who was an eyewitness to the incident, gave the same story as the account in Fisk’s report.

The government and the mainstream media seem intent upon selling us a war based on lies and a complete lack of evidence. Of course it’s easy for the elites to demand a war. It isn’t their blood on the lines after all…

U.S. claims Russia ‘hacked’ Syrian attack evidence, after Russia finds rebel chemical weapons facility

Update: Interfax reports that the Russian military has discovered a rebel-owned chemical weapons lab in Douma.

The Russian Defense Ministry says that components for Mustard Gas production were discovered along with cylinders of chlorine at a alb belonging to militants in Douma.

Additionally, Moscow has said it is stunned by a French statement that Russia is obstructing OPCW experts from entering Syria’s Douma (echoing Ambassador Ward’s). the Russian foreign  ministry confirms OPCW expoerts are already in Douma.

*  *  *

And on the game goes…

While Russia’s foreign ministry warns that Western powers are interfering with OPCW’s work in Syria (noting that the chemical weapons experts’ access to Douma is being hampered by remaining militants, supported by Washington), as Caitlin Johnstone details, we are now being told by US officials (and I assure you I am not making this up) that if the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons doesn’t find evidence that the Syrian government conducted a chemical weapons attack in Douma last week, it’s because Russia hid the evidence.

“It is our understanding the Russians may have visited the attack site,” reports U.S. Ambassador Kenneth Ward.

“It is our concern that they may have tampered with it with the intent of thwarting the efforts of the OPCW Fact-Finding Mission to conduct an effective investigation.”

Via Caitlin Johnstone,

I guess the idea is that this international top-level investigative team on which tremendous credibility has been placed by the western world can be thwarted by Russians showing up with a Hoover and spraying some Febreze in the air like a teenage stoner when mom comes home? I’m not sure, but given the immense dearth of evidence we’ve been seeing in support of the establishment Douma narrative and the mounting pile of evidence contradicting it, it sure does sound fishy.

Now that the jihadist-occupied suburb of Douma has been retaken by the Syrian government, western journalists have been allowed in to poke around and start asking questions, and so far it isn’t looking great for the propaganda machine.

The Independent‘s Robert Fisk has published a report which affirms the storyso many westerners have been dismissing as Kremlin propaganda for days now after interviewing a doctor from the hospital of the area where the Douma attack was supposed to have occurred. Dr Assim Rahaibani told Fisk that what was in actuality an outbreak of respiratory distress among occupants of a dusty oxygen-deprived tunnel was made to look like the aftereffects of a chemical weapons attack when a member of the White Helmets started shouting about a gas attack in front of a bunch of video cameras. Ex-US Foreign Service Officer: US Acting as “ISIS Air Force” in Syria Based on a “False Flag”

syria

A former US official, critical of the strikes on Syria, is pointing out that the US is acting as the air force for ISIS. Adding credence to the claim is the report that terrorist groups inside Syria coordinated attacks with the US-led strikes.

Russia Has “Irrefutable Evidence” UK Staged Syrian Chemical Attack

This report was originally published by Tyler Durden at Zero Hedge

As the blame game over the alleged chemical attack in Syria escalates ahead of what is expected to be an imminent, if contained, air strike campaign by the US, UK and/or France against Syria, on Friday morning, Russia’s foreign minister Sergey Lavrov said Moscow had “irrefutable evidence” that the attack – which allegedly killed more than 40 people in an April 7 chemical weapons strike on the former rebel outpost of Douma  -was staged with the help of a foreign secret service.

“We have irrefutable evidence that this was another staged event, and that the secret services of a certain state that is now at the forefront of a Russophobic campaign was involved in this staged event,” he said during a press conference according to AFP.

Speculation that said “certain state” was the UK was confirmed shortly after, when Russia’s defense ministry alleged that Britain was involved in the suspected chemical attack. According to defense ministry spokesman, Major General Igor Konashenkov, the Kremlin has evidence that Britain was behind the attack.

Quoted by Reuters, he said: “We have… evidence that proves Britain was directly involved in organizing this provocation.”

As RT further adds, the Russian Defense Ministry presented what it says is “proof that the reported chemical weapons attack in Syria was staged.” It also accused the British government of pressuring the perpetrators to speed up the “provocation.” During a briefing on Friday, the ministry showed interviews with two people, who, it said, are medical professionals working in the only hospital operating in Douma, a town near the Syrian capital, Damascus.

In the interviews released to the media, the two men reported how footage was shot of people dousing each other with water and treating children, which was claimed to show the aftermath of the April 7 chemical weapons attack. The patients shown in the video suffered from smoke poisoning and the water was poured on them by their relatives after a false claim that chemical weapons were used, the ministry said.

“Please, notice. These people do not hide their names. These are not some faceless claims on the social media by anonymous activists. They took part in taking that footage,” said Konashenkov.

“The Russian Defense Ministry also has evidence that Britain had a direct involvement in arranging this provocation in Eastern Ghouta,” the general added, referring to the neighborhood of which Douma is part. “We know for certain that between April 3 and April 6 the so-called White Helmets were seriously pressured from London to speed up the provocation that they were preparing.”

According to Konashenkov, the group, which was a primary source of photos and footage of the purported chemical attack, was informed of a large-scale artillery attack on Damascus planned by the Islamist group Army of Islam, which controlled Douma at the time. The White Helmets were ordered to arrange the provocation after retaliatory strikes by the Syrian government forces, which the shelling was certain to lead to, he said.

One of the interviews published by the ministry showed a man who said his name was Halil Ajij, and who said he was a medical student working at Douma’s only operational hospital. This is how he described the origin of the footage:

“On April 8, a bomb hit a building. The upper floors were damaged and a fire broke at the lower floors. Victims of that bombing were brought to us. People from the upper floors had smoke poisoning. We treated them, based on their suffocation.”

Ajij said that a man unknown to him came and said there was a chemical attack and panic ensued. “Relatives of the victims started dousing each other with water. Other people, who didn’t seem to have medical training, started administering anti-asthma medicine to children. We didn’t see any patient with symptoms of a chemical weapons poisoning,” he said.

The first photos claiming to show the aftermath of the alleged chemical attack on April 7 were published online on the same day, and featured the bodies of many people, including children, some with foam around their mouths and noses. Footage from the hospital was released on Sunday, with the sources behind it claiming that it had been shot on Saturday.

Konashenkov said Russia hoped that international monitors from the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), which is due to investigate the circumstances of the incident, will help establish the truth. He added Eastern Ghouta is currently trying to return to peaceful life after being liberated from militant groups by Syrian government forces. He called on other nations and international organizations to provide humanitarian aid, which is badly needed in the area. Russia is already supplying food, medicine, building materials and other essential supplies to the neighborhood, he said.

Residents of the neighborhood, who previously fled violence, are returning to their homes now that the area is relatively safe, the Russian official said. The latest reports from the ground say about 63,000 people have returned, which is over half of the displaced residents, he added.

The reported chemical weapons attack escalated tensions over Syria, just as Damascus was about to seize full control of Eastern Ghouta. The US and allies such as the UK and France threatened military action in response to what they claim is an atrocity committed by the Syrian government. Russia insists the incident was staged and said it reserves the right to counter any attack on Syria.

* * *

On Wednesday, Russia made the first allegation that the chemical attack was staged by Western powers, in this case by the infamous “white helmets,” a US-funded NGO lauded by mainstream media for their humanitarian work, while long-suspected of performing less-than humanitarian deeds behind the curtain.

Speaking with EuroNews, Russia’s ambassador to the EU, Vladimir Chizov, said “Russian military specialists have visited this region, walked on those streets, entered those houses, talked to local doctors and visited the only functioning hospital in Douma, including its basement where reportedly the mountains of corpses pile up. There was not a single corpse and even not a single person who came in for treatment after the attack.”

“But we’ve seen them on the video!” responds EuroNews correspondent Andrei Beketov. “There was no chemical attack in Douma, pure and simple,” responds Chizov. “We’ve seen another staged event. There are personnel, specifically trained – and you can guess by whom – amongst the so-called White Helmets, who were already caught in the act with staged videos.”

Russia said previously that it sent experts in radiological, chemical and biological warfare – along with medics, in order to inspect the Eastern Ghouta city of Douma where the attack is said to have taken place.

Russia’s Defense Ministry said in a statement that the experts “found no traces of the use of chemical agents,” following a search of the sites, adding “All these facts show… that no chemical weapons were used in the town of Douma, as it was claimed by the White Helmets.”

“All the accusations brought by the White Helmets, as well as their photos… allegedly showing the victims of the chemical attack, are nothing more than a yet another piece of fake news and an attempt to disrupt the ceasefire,” said the Russian Reconciliation Center.

* * *

In any case, if Russia indeed has “irrefutable evidence”, it is probably just a matter of time before it is made public in an attempt to sway public opinion, ideally before the Syrian airstrikes begin afresh. If confirmed, it would be a major slap in the face of neo-con forces across “western democracies”, if hardly a shock: after all the US using a fabricated pretext to wage war or simply to effect a much needed distraction from domestic affairs, in the middle east is a painfully familiar narrative.

Meanwhile, as we wait for Trump to announce what happens next, late on Thursday we reported that US National Security Advisor John Bolton and Defense Secretary James Mattis are reportedly feuding over the strategy in Syria, with Mattis favoring a more cautious approach, even as France and Britain are crafting broad strike plans and are willing to pursue any military strategy, even though as noted, a readout of a Thursday phone conversation President Trump and UK Prime Minister Theresa May suggests that military action may be days away, instead of hours.

Trump On Syria Attack: ‘Could Be Very Soon Or Not So Soon At All’

President Donald Trump seemed so sure of himself yesterday when tweeting that Russia should “get ready” for a strike against Syria. He appears to now be backpedaling some, and it’s a small sign that just maybe we won’t go to war over what’s shaping up to be a false flag attack.

He did post a tweet this morning, in typical confrontational fashion, saying he “never said when an attack on Syria would take place. Could be very soon or not so soon at all! In any event, the United States, under my Administration, has done a great job of ridding the region of ISIS.  Where is our “Thank you America?”

Trump may have missed his window for getting any “thank yous” as he almost singlehandedly stoked the fears of a third world war with his threatening tweet yesterday. The United States is said to still be considering a military response over a reported chemical weapons attack on the rebel enclave of Douma on April 7.

Syrian President Bashar Assad has been accused of being behind the purported incident, but the US said it also holds Russia responsible for failing to prevent Assad from conducting the alleged attack. White House spokesperson Sarah Huckabee Sanders said Wednesday Trump “holds Syria and Russia responsible for this chemical weapons attack,” and said, “all options are on the table.”

According to RT, earlier this week, Russia’s permanent representative to the UN, Vassily Nebenzia, correctly pointed out that the alleged incident was beneficial only to the militants. Russian military specialists have already visited the site and said they found no signs of a chemical attack or any victims. The Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, the UN’s chemical weapons watchdog, said back in June 2014 that all stockpiles of such material had been removed from the country.

Russia responded to Trump’s threat by calling on common sense to prevail. “We do not participate in Twitter diplomacy,” Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said. “We support serious approaches. We continue to believe that it is important not to take steps that could harm an already-fragile situation.

But the beating of war drums continues, although this may be a sign that the US is willing to back off some.

WW3 Approaches: Theresa May Orders Submarines To SYRIA And Readies STRIKE

The United Kingdom’s prime minister Theresa May has ordered submarines to Syria. Reports alleged that a strike is ready to occur in the next 24 hours…or less.

The strikes could begin as early as Thursday night, the Daily Telegraph reports. Government sources allegedly said Britain was “doing everything necessary” to be able to fire Tomahawk cruise missiles from submarines against military targets in Syria. This latest maneuver signals the UK’s willingness to enter into a war with seemingly everyone else.

A report from CNBC, however, claimed that May has not yet decided if she’d like to enter a third world war alongside the US and France just yet, but she’d like to be able to fire off some missiles and “act quickly.” According to RT, May will hold an unscheduled meeting of her cabinet on Thursday, which will involve senior ministers, her spokesman told media. While the agenda of the meeting has not been made public, reports suggest May is going to seek approval for military action in Syria.

All the indications are that the Syrian regime was responsible,” she said, adding that the UK will be working with its allies to ensure that those who are responsible are held to account.” Russia, which has been lending support to the Syrian government’s campaign against jihadists, is accused of being complicit.

This move comes on the heels of threats from president Donald Trump that “smart missiles” will be heading toward Syria and Russia was to blame. The Russian and Syrian governments have both denied that a chemical attack was carried out by either. Nonetheless, without evidence that the Syrian government did, in fact, use chemical weapons on its own people, many politicians, with access to nuclear weapons, are ready to begin a war. Sleep tight, everyone.

Russian spokeswoman Maria Zahkarova accused the US of sending their “smart missiles” to destroy all evidence that this chemical attack was fabricated by the White Helmets, who are on the side of the rebels.

Speaking with EuroNews, Russia’s ambassador to the European Union, Vladimir Chizov, said “Russian military specialists have visited this region, walked on those streets, entered those houses, talked to local doctors and visited the only functioning hospital in Douma, including its basement where reportedly the mountains of corpses pile up. There was not a single corpse and even not a single person who came in for treatment after the attack.”

“But we’ve seen them on the video!” responds EuroNews correspondent Andrei Beketov.

There was no chemical attack in Douma, pure and simple,” responds Chizov. “We’ve seen another staged event. There are personnel, specifically trained – and you can guess by whom – amongst the so-called White Helmets, who were already caught in the act with staged videos.

According to Zerohedge, in a statement to the UN Security Council on April 9, Russia’s UN Ambassador, Vassily Nebenzia outlined Russia’s position on the timeline of the attack in Douma, as well as the Western response after the White Helmets reported that chemical agents were used:

On April 6, the new head of Jaysh al-Islam, following instructions of sponsors, derailed the evacuation of a party of fighters from Douma and resumed the rocket and mortar fire against residential areas in Damascus. The firing targeted [indistinct name of four areas]. According to official information, eight people died. 37 civilians were wounded. Unfortunately, we failed to see statements from Western capitals condemning the shelling of a historical district of Damascus. The following day, April 7, fighters accused the Syrian authorities of dropping barrel bombs with toxic substances. At the same time, diversions were being mixed up. It was either called sarin, chlorine, or a mix of toxic gases. Based on a well-known scheme, these rumors were immediately taken out by those who are financed by western capitalists; I am referring to NGOs and the White Helmets who are mendaciously acting under the cloak of health professionals. And these reports were also taken up and transferred to media outlets. –Zerohedge

Theresa May told President Trump on Tuesday that Britain would require more evidence in last weekend’s suspected chemical attack before committing to a military strike against Syria, reports The Times. It looks like she’s changed her mind. Like the rest, they employ no evidence or logic when starting a war.

WW3 Approahes: Theresa May Orders Submarines To SYRIA And Readies STRIKE

“There Wasn’t A Single Corpse”: Russia Claims ‘White Helmets’ Staged Syria Chemical Attack

This report was originally published by Tyler Durden at Zero Hedge

Russia claims that the reported chemical attack in Syria last Sunday was staged by the “white helmets,” a US-funded NGO lauded by mainstream media for their humanitarian work, while long-suspected of performing less-than humanitarian deeds behind the curtain.

There was no chemical attack in Douma, pure and simple,” responds Chizov. “We’ve seen another staged event. There are personnel, specifically trained – and you can guess by whom – amongst the so-called White Helmets, who were already caught in the act with staged videos.”

Russia said it sent experts in radiological, chemical and biological warfare – along with medics, in order to inspect the Eastern Ghouta city of Douma where the attack is said to have taken place.

Russia’s Defense Ministry said in a statement that the experts “found no traces of the use of chemical agents,” following a search of the sites, adding “All these facts show… that no chemical weapons were used in the town of Douma, as it was claimed by the White Helmets.”

All the accusations brought by the White Helmets, as well as their photos… allegedly showing the victims of the chemical attack, are nothing more than a yet another piece of fake news and an attempt to disrupt the ceasefire,” said the Russian Reconciliation Center.

In a statement to the UN Security Council on April 9, Russia’s UN Ambassador, Vassily Nebenzia outlined Russia’s position on the timeline of the attack in Douma, as well as the Western response after the White Helmets reported that chemical agents were used:

And these reports were also taken up and transferred to media outlets.

It behooves us once again to state that many of these dubious structures have a clear list of the email addresses of representatives of Security Council members, which shows that some of our colleagues, with a reckless approach towards their status, are leaking sensitive information to their protégés. Incidentally, all should recall the way that accidentally, the White Helmets put on the internet a video which showed preparations for staging a so-called victim of an alleged attack perpetrated by the Syrian army.

Indeed, over the last several years, reports out of Syria have been criticized as being primarily of anti-Assad origin and unverified.

In a speech at the UN, pro-Assad Canadian journalist and RT contributor Eva Bartlett gave her account of what’s going on with reports out of Syria – calling western sources “compromised” and “not credible.”

Meanwhile, UK Prime Minister Theresa May told President Trump on Tuesday that Britain would require more evidence in last weekend’s suspected chemical attack before committing to a military strike against Syria, reports The Times.

The prime minister rejected a swift retaliation as inspectors from the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) prepared to visit the Damascus suburb where at least 40 people were reported to have been killed by chlorine gas on Saturday. –The Times

May chaired a meeting of the national security council in London this week, where she spoke with Presidents Trump and Macron for the first time since the Douma chemical attack. It is reported that Trump, who’s had a remarkable change of heart on U.S. involvement in Syria since the election, did not ask the UK to join military strikes.

A No 10 read-out of her call with the US president stated that they agreed the international community “needed to respond” but stopped short of blaming the Syrian regime. “They agreed that reports of a chemical weapons attack in Syria were utterly reprehensible and if confirmed, represented further evidence of the Assad regime’s appalling cruelty against its own people and total disregard for its legal obligations not to use these weapons,” it said. –The Times

President Trump also appears to have backed off an imminent strike after promising Syria would “pay a big price,” and that the U.S. response would be decided by Wednesday. Trump reportedly canceled travel plans after reports emerged that Russian and Iranian involvement in Syria would complicate matters in the region.

Meanwhile, Secretary of Defense James Mattis has said that the U.S. is still assessing intelligence on the alleged chemical attack, saying in a statement “we’re still working on this.” In the same breath, Mattis said the United States is “ready” to provide military options for Syria.

WW3 Tensions Rise: Russia WILL Strike Back If US Attacks Syria

The Russians will respond with an attack if the United States decides to take action in Syria, according to Fox News’ Senior Security Analyst. He also said Washington should” refrain from confrontation” with Russia if there’s any hope of avoiding a third world war.

Walid Phares made the comments recently on Fox News after the alleged chemical attack in Douma, Syria. The Russians are still claiming there is no evidence of the attack and any retaliation would be over false information and “fake news.”

More troubling is that also on Monday, Russia’s Ambassador to the UN Vasily Nebenzia said that the Americans would have to deal with “serious consequences” should they attack Syria.

We have repeatedly warned the American side about highly negative consequences that may follow if they apply weapons against the legitimate Syrian government, and especially if the use of these weapons – God forbid, affects our military men, who legally stay in Syria,” the Russian Ambassador to the UN said at a meeting of the UN Security Council. –SHTFPlan

Phares told Fox News: “Well look, the Russians are today stronger in Syria than they were a year ago and certainly six years ago. “So they are trying to say to us and our partners that there will be a response maybe directly by the Russians or as they do usually, task the Iranians to do it.”

His comments come after US President Donald Trump threatened imminent military action against Syria and Russia over the “atrocious” alleged poison gas attack that supposedly killed at least 60 civilians. But there still isn’t much evidence to support that theory. There’s “words” of those who aren’t all that reliable. (White Helmets and the US mainstream media.)

The most recent attack, which screams ‘false flag’ like no other, comes as no surprise to many observers. Russia was sounding the alarm last month that US instructors were actively training militants for a “chemical provocation” that would be used as a pretext for carrying out an attack on the Syrian government (Syrian doctors, meanwhilesaid they had not received victims with signs of chemical poisoning from Douma, and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has said no evidence has been found of a chemical weapons attack). –RT

But that won’t stop the US from using weapons in Syria, and Trump has already put the war-torn nation on notice via his Twitter account.

The tweet appears to be an unofficial announcement of the “major decisions which Trump said Washington would be making soon regarding the alleged chemical attack in Syria. It also comes just after Russia vowed to shoot down any US missiles aimed at Syria. “If there is an American strike, then we… will shoot down the missiles and target the positions from where they were launched,” Alexander Zasypkin, the Russian envoy to Beirut, said on Wednesday. “In the past few days, we have seen an escalation towards a significant crisis.”

We appear to be on the precipice of a major conflict in Syria. Oddly enough, most assumed North Korea would start the third world war. If Trump bombs Syria, it would be the US. Tensions are high and prospects for avoiding a horrific conflict look awfully low right now.
