WAR ALERT: Russia Sends Warships Carrying Tanks To Syria And Threatens ‘Chaos’

Russia sent two warships carrying tanks and other military supplies to Syria in the wake of the United States-led attack on Damascus for an alleged chemical attack. It looks like the West’s attack accomplished one thing: a stronger Syria/Russia alliance.

The boats were spotted on The Bosphorus (the straight of Istanbul) on Sunday. This delivery of military supplies from Russia comes on the heels of an attack on Syria led by US president Donald Trump, the United Kingdom, and France.  Russian president Vladimir Putin has also since warned that the world would experience “chaos” if Syria was attacked again.

The West is alleging Bashar al-Assad, Syria’s leader used chemical weapons on civilians to justify military attacks on Damascus and Homs.  But interestingly enough, those strikes occurred the day before international investigators were scheduled to arrive to conduct a thorough inspection of the site.  –SHTFPlan

Russia continues to allege the chemical attack used as reasoning by the West to bomb Syria was fabricated.  Based on all the evidence currently gathered, it appears to be a false flag, making Russia correct, and the US guilty of producing massive amounts of pro-war propaganda. 

The news is rife with the Syrian airstrikes and the theatrical narrative: the united coalition of brave allies against the despotic Assad to secure the blessings of liberty, etc., etc. The reality: The U.S. threw more than 100 missiles against soft Syrian targets with Britain firing rockets from four aircraft as France flew planes around and cruised the waters with a few ships. The target (a suspected but not verified chemical weapons facility) was destroyed…before chemical weapons use, or manufacture could be verified. Once again, the Western Hegemony “showed” that bad ‘ol puddy-tat, that anti-Saudi Arabian, anti-Petrodollar Assad…showed him that his “Clorox Bleach” assault on mannequins as verified by white hat “Light-Brite” technicians would not be tolerated! “Mission accomplished!” in the words of US President Donald Trump. –SHTFPlan

Russia’s supplies are making their way to Syria while the US expects us to believe they bomb people out of the goodness of their hearts.

The Russian President has responded furiously to the strikes in Syria, which followed the deadly chemical weapons attack in the city of Douma that left dozens dead. According to a statement released by the Kremlin, Putin told his Iranian counterpart that the strikes had undermined chances of a political resolution to the conflict. “Vladimir Putin, in particular, stressed that if such actions committed in violation of the U.N. Charter continue, then it will inevitably lead to chaos in international relations,” the statement read.

So, as you may deduce, there is plenty to be seen behind the scenes while “Operation Clorox” was conducted in Syria. Examine the information before you take a drink of that Grape Kool-Aid and blindly fall for the rhetoric. The Deep State is fully in control and moving ahead with their own agenda. They just “wagged the dog” this past weekend, and not only did most Americans fall for it…all Americans paid for it as well. President Donald Trump seemed so sure of himself yesterday when tweeting that Russia should “get ready” for a strike against Syria. He appears to now be backpedaling some, and it’s a small sign that just maybe we won’t go to war over what’s shaping up to be a false flag attack.

He did post a tweet this morning, in typical confrontational fashion, saying he “never said when an attack on Syria would take place. Could be very soon or not so soon at all! In any event, the United States, under my Administration, has done a great job of ridding the region of ISIS.  Where is our “Thank you America?”

Trump may have missed his window for getting any “thank yous” as he almost singlehandedly stoked the fears of a third world war with his threatening tweet yesterday. The United States is said to still be considering a military response over a reported chemical weapons attack on the rebel enclave of Douma on April 7.

Syrian President Bashar Assad has been accused of being behind the purported incident, but the US said it also holds Russia responsible for failing to prevent Assad from conducting the alleged attack. White House spokesperson Sarah Huckabee Sanders said Wednesday Trump “holds Syria and Russia responsible for this chemical weapons attack,” and said, “all options are on the table.”

According to RT, earlier this week, Russia’s permanent representative to the UN, Vassily Nebenzia, correctly pointed out that the alleged incident was beneficial only to the militants. Russian military specialists have already visited the site and said they found no signs of a chemical attack or any victims. The Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, the UN’s chemical weapons watchdog, said back in June 2014 that all stockpiles of such material had been removed from the country.

Russia responded to Trump’s threat by calling on common sense to prevail. “We do not participate in Twitter diplomacy,” Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said. “We support serious approaches. We continue to believe that it is important not to take steps that could harm an already-fragile situation.“

But the beating of war drums continues, although this may be a sign that the US is willing to back off some.

France Gears Up For War?: ‘France Will STRIKE’ Syria If Chemical Weapons Were Used

French president Emmanuel Macron has promised to “strike” Syria, but only if evidence emerges that chemical weapons were used against civilians.  And he has admitted that French intelligence agencies have not yet discovered any evidence.

“On chemical weapons, I set a red line and I reaffirm that red line,” Macron told reporters in Paris on Tuesday, according to RT.  “If we have proven evidence that chemical weapons proscribed in treaties are used, we will strike the place where they are made.”

“Today, our agencies, our armed forces have not established that chemical weapons, as set out in treaties, have been used against the civilian population.” Macron added that he’s all but threatened Russian president Vladimir Putin with war should his agencies find evidence of chemical weapons uses.  “I’ve reiterated it to President Putin, asking to make it very clear to the Syrian regime, which has reaffirmed that it does not use chemical weapons … but we are watching it,” Macron stated.

Although Macron talks a big game on chemical weapons, he also hasn’t taken any action as he awaits proof. “We have some indications of possible chlorine use [in Syria], but we have no absolute confirmation,” the French Defense Minister Florence Parly said last Friday. “So we, alongside the others, are working on trying to confirm this, as we clearly have to get the facts straight.” But according to the French Foreign Minister, the evidence is mounting the Syrian government, stating using chlorine last week.  “All indications show us today that chlorine is used by the regime right now in Syria,” said Parly.

France, a permanent member of the U.N. Security Council, has struggled to wield influence on Syria. Critics who accuse Macron of inaction say he has not given a clear definition of whether use of chlorine would for him constitute a chemical attack.

On Tuesday, the vice-president of the Syria Civil Defence, or “White Helmets”, volunteer force said France should stop talking and take real action.

France and the United Nations have repeatedly called in past months for a ceasefire and the opening of aid corridors to alleviate Syria’s humanitarian crisis. Russia, Assad’s most powerful ally, said last week a ceasefire was not realistic. -Reuters

The Syrian government has repeatedly denied using chemical weapons and said it targets only armed rebels and militants, according to Reuters.  Last week was one of the bloodiest in the Syrian conflict as Syrian government forces, who are backed by Russia and Iran, bombarded two of the last major rebel areas of Syria. Parts of Eastern Ghouta near Damascus and the northwestern province of Idlib were the hardest hit.

US Coalition Announces They’ll Defend ISIS by Attacking Syrian Army if They Go After Them

Syria — In a blatantly ominous move—solidifying the notion that the U.S. military machine supports and sustains the proliferation of ISIS—U.S.-backed rebels openly stated they will prevent the Syrian army from crossing the Euphrates River to recover eastern Syria from ISIS militants.

The oil-rich province of Deir al-Zor is Islamic State’s last major foothold in Syria and Iraq. It is bisected by the Euphrates River. The threats by the U.S.-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) to attack the Syrian army for attempting to cross the river is in de facto defense of ISIS.

As Reuters reports, military council commander Ahmed Abu Khawla warned government forces and their militia allies against firing across the river as his fighters close in — something he said had happened in recent days.

“Now we have 3 km between us and the eastern riverbank, once our forces reach the area, any shot fired into that area we will consider an attack on the military council,” he said.

“We have notified the regime and Russia that we are coming to the Euphrates riverbank, and they can see our forces advancing,” he said. “We do not allow the regime or its militias to cross to the eastern riverbank.”

As we’ve seen this year, when the Assad regime is allowed to go after ISIS, they are successful. When the US is not destroying their military bases or shooting down its jets, the Syrian army has proven that they are quite capable of taking back their country from the clutch of terrorists.

Because the US can’t complete their mission of destabilizing Syria without ISIS, the announcement by the SDF to protect the terrorist-held region should come as no surprise.

However, that point may be moot because according to Russian foreign ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, the Syrian Army has already crossed.

“The suburbs of this provincial center (Deir al-Zor) have been liberated. Advance units have successfully crossed the Euphrates and are holding positions on its eastern bank,” she said.

SDF’s Abu Khawla answered Russia’s claim by immediately denouncing it as “mere propaganda,” adding that “no one has crossed.”

Bouthaina Shaaban, an aide to Assad, said they are ready to fight the SDF to free the rest of their country.

“Whether it’s the Syrian Democratic Forces, or Daesh (Islamic State) or any illegitimate foreign force in the country … we will fight and work against them so our land is freed completely from any aggressor,” she said in an interview with Hezbollah’s Al Manar TV.

“I‘m not saying this will happen tomorrow … but this is the strategic intent,” she said.

As TFTP has consistently reported, it is no secret that much of the opposition forces in Syria, like the SDF, are aligned with ISIS. In fact, there was actually proposed in legislation by Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard in the House and Senator Rand Paul in the Senate to stop arming the US-backed rebels—because they are terrorists.

“For years, our government has been providing both direct and indirect support to these armed militant groups, who are working directly with or under the command of terrorist groups like Al-Qaeda and ISIS, all in their effort and fight to overthrow the Syrian government,” Gabbard said earlier this year.

As the Free Thought Project reported in April, the US knew Al-Qaeda leader al-Zawahiri called on Muslims in Turkey and the Middle East to aid the rebels in the Free Syrian Army. From this day forward, the lines between who Al-Qaeda or the ‘rebels’ actually were — became heavily blurred. But, according to the email, the state department did not care as they knew Al-Qaeda was on their side.

Once this wire went out to multiple departments in the form of an Ops Alert, apparently there may have been some original concern about Al-Qaeda joining the ranks of the US-supported rebels — who are being used by the American Deep State to destabilize Syria on behalf of special interests. However, Sullivan quickly replied to his master, Hillary Clinton, to let her know that Al-Qaeda “is on our side in Syria.”

In spite of Trump ending the CIA’s program of funding and arming ISIS in Syria, the Pentagon was exposed using backdoors to continue their support for the terrorist network.

As TFTP reported, a damning new report by the Balkan Investigative Reporting Network (BIRN) and the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP), published this week, exposes the Pentagon’s falsifying of documents – likely to hide the use of a shady network of private arms dealers, intimately connected to Eastern European organized crime groups, to transfer some $2.2 billion dollars worth of mostly old Soviet weaponry to al-Qaeda affiliates in Syria.

Sadly, the funds flowing to Syria to support terror are whitewashed and justified by the government because they are aiding “moderate rebels” in their battle against Assad.

However, as Congresswoman Gabbard noted, who actually went to Syria to see for herself, there are no moderate rebels.

“The reality is… every place that I went, every person that I spoke to, I asked this question to them, and without hesitation, they said, there are no moderate rebels. Who are these moderate rebels that people keep speaking of?

Regardless of the name of these groups, the strongest fighting force on the ground in Syria is al Nusra, or al-Qaeda and ISIS. That is a fact,” Gabbard said.

‘Moderate Rebel’ Defects, Confirms US-Trained Unit Gave Weapons to ISIS

(RT) — Not only were the US-backed ‘moderate’ militants in southern Syria never meant to fight ISIS, but their commanders actually traded US-made weapons and ammunition to terrorists, a rebel defector claimed in an interview with Rossiya-24.

Asaad As-Salem says he defected from the US-backed Maghawir al-Thawra group stationed at the At-Tanf base in southern Syria, and surrendered to Syrian government forces. Along with a number of other militants and their families, they escaped At-Tanf and currently reside in a refugee camp near Damascus.

The former militant told Rossiya-24 correspondent Eugeniy Poddubny that he served as a chief security officer at the base, and that he and his men joined the US-backed rebel group to fight Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) terrorists.

Their US and Norwegian instructors, stationed at the base, taught the militants to fire US-made weapons, trained mortar squads and conducted courses on accident-free driving on the battlefield.

The reality, however, differed from the proclaimed goal of fighting terrorists, as the unit has never seen action against IS and its commander actually traded the US-supplied weapons with the terrorists – all while the American instructors, deployed at the base, turned a blind eye, the former militant claimed.

“When we learned that our unit’s leader was selling weapons to ISIS terrorists, we reported that to American base command, but following our report no action has been taken, the Americans only ramped up the support to the man who was appointed our commander and who was dealing with ISIS,” As-Salem said.

“And he was selling all sorts of weapons our unit possessed, US-made small arms, M-16 and M-4 rifles, recoilless rifles, various machine guns and ammunition for them.”

The areas controlled by the US-backed militants along the Syrian-Jordanian border were cut off from IS-held regions by Syrian government forces and its allies in June, rendering their declared goal of “fighting terrorism” entirely obsolete.

The US, the former militant believes, never actually intended to battle IS in the south of Syria, but wanted to create and expand its influence. He said the US advisors supported only those who can be used to fulfill their own goals, showing no interest in helping civilians.

“There’s no support for the local populace, the Americans are not interested in anything except pursuing their own goals. There’s a refugee camp, Rukhban, for example, located some 20 kilometers from the American military base…” As-Salem told Rossiya-24.

“Some of the people residing in the camp are relatives of those militants, collaborating with Americans, while the others are civilians from At-Tanf. There are no suitable living conditions there, children have nowhere to study, there’s no healthcare, the Americans support only those people who they use to pursue their own goals. All in all, I’ll tell you, they behave like invaders.”

Although the militant’s claims cannot be independently verified, US special forces have indeed, since last year, been based at At-Tanf, located at a strategic Syrian highway border crossing with Iraq.

While the US-led coalition claimed the base was used to fight against Islamic State – they have, on several occasions, opened fire on Syrian government forces approaching the area.

Russia’s foreign ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said at a news briefing Thursday that the information obtained by the Rossia-24 correspondents should be thoroughly examined by international organizations.

“Certainly those materials need thorough examination by competent organizations, including international organizations. These materials tell us that the American coalition, the so-called coalition, does not what was proclaimed, i.e. not fighting terrorists in the southern Syria, but pursues its own goals,” Zakharova said.

“One of the goals is creation of their own sphere of influence in the country, exhausted in the fight against terrorism. In order to achieve that, according to witness reports, various means are being used, including direct transfer of foreign-made weapons to militants, as it happened at the At-Tanf base in the south of the country,” she added.

The information revealed by the rebel defector should not be surprising, as covert and overt support for various rebels worldwide is a usual practice by the US, political commentator and journalist John Wight believes.

And it explains the nature of the US airstrikes on the Syrian government and allied forces.

“It adds an extra and murkier dimension to US airstrikes, that were conducted against pro-Syrian government forces as they approached At-Tanf back in June this year, suggesting that rather than motivated by a desire to protect so-called moderate rebels that the US was supporting at the time, they were carried out with the desire to conceal the activities that are being described by this Syrian rebel defector regarding providing arms to ISIS and other Salafist jihadi groups,” Wight told RT.

The reportedly dire conditions in the refugee camps controlled by the US-backed rebels are not surprising as well, since “the US is not really interested in welfare of the Syrian people,” Wight said.

“I can tell they have never been interested in the welfare of the Syrian people,” Wight told RT. “The Syrian people have been used as a proxy and as a justification for the US presence in Syria with its own hegemonic agenda in mind.”

There is no doubt that President Donald Trump has made incredibly tyrannical moves. His foreign policy is a page out of the book of both of his predecessors, Barack Obama and George W. Bush, but even more deadly. That being said, his administration’s decision to halt the covert CIA program of arming ‘moderate rebels’ in Syria is a welcome move to those who’ve been paying attention — namely, because those ‘moderate rebels’ are terrorists.

It is not some conspiracy theory that the US has been caught time and again putting weapons in the hands of ISIS. It was also not some Pro-Russian move as the WaPo tries to spin it.

President Trump has decided to end the CIA’s covert program to arm and train moderate Syrian rebels battling the government of Bashar al-Assad, a move long sought by Russia, according to U.S. officials.

Although this move was sought by Russia, it doesn’t make it a pro-Russian move. It makes it a logical one. How on earth can you claim to be fighting ISIS while at the same time arming them?

But, the Washington Post knows no logic — only propaganda — which they laid on thick in the hit piece against the move to stop arming terrorists. In their article, they cite their mythical ‘anonymous’ source, who claims this is a catastrophe.

“This is a momentous decision,” said a current official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss a covert program. “Putin won in Syria.”

This line might be considered true if Putin was attempting to do anything other than help the Assad regime — who invited him there — unlike the US.

But the fear mongering doesn’t stop there.

“We are falling into a Russian trap,” said Charles Lister, a senior fellow at the Middle East Institute, who focuses on the Syrian resistance, reports the Post. “We are making the moderate resistance more and more vulnerable. . . . We are really cutting them off at the neck.”

However, as Congresswoman Gabbard noted, who actually went to Syria to see for herself, there are no moderate rebels.

By ridiculing the decision to stop the CIA from putting weapons in the hands of terrorists, the WaPo and their ilk in the mainstream media are showing their true colors. They also look utterly ridiculous in their attempt to inject the fake Russian narrative into it as well.

Make no mistake, the corporate media in the United States has an important function in regards to the government and that is to sell you war. When a move is made to ostensibly combat that narrative, they will lash out. Conversely, when people are killed and bombs are dropped, they will respond with praise.

While this move is certainly a beneficial one, it is hardly a game changer as the Pentagon will continue its train-and-equip program in support of the largely Kurdish rebel force that is advancing on Islamic State strongholds in Raqqa and along the Euphrates River valley. Perhaps Trump knew this and this entire fiasco was little more than a dog and pony to distract from the tens of thousands of innocent civilians piling up behind the man who ran on a campaign to get out of Syria and the Middle East altogether.

Free-thinking Americans all across the country have taken to the streets to protest yet another war the U.S. has started with a sovereign nation and the resultant police response is indicative of the truly dystopian nature of the American police state.

What The U.S. began when George W. Bush attacked Iraq, has continued (to include either regime change or upheaval) in Afghanistan, Libya, Qatar, Egypt (failed), Tunisia, Yemen, Somalia, and now, Syria.

Bush used the pretext of terrorism and the War on Terror to preemptively attack Iraq, whereas, Obama used the “Arab Spring” disguised as a grassroots protest movement which quickly morphed into an insurgent movement. Now, President Trump is using the gassing of children, along with ‘moderate rebels’, to effect regime change in Syria.

Yet, there’s something different in the American climate. Absent the outrage of a 9/11 style attack, Americans are starting to understand their country has now become the aggressor, starting wars at will, and leaving a battlefield of dead American soldiers in their wake.

In Jacksonville, Florida, an anti-war group is finding out the hard way that their rights to peacefully object to the war in Syria aren’t guaranteed.

During a “Hands Off Syria” protest, Mike Todd, a member of the group, Jacksonville Against The War On Syria (JAWS), captured video of JAWS’ protests on the streets in Jacksonville. The group was objecting to what appears to be the imminent American invasion of Syria, an action which will likely trigger World War III. The video shows Jacksonville police arresting several of the anti-war protesters, one of whom is Connell Bam Crooms, a person whom Todd says is a “peaceful” anti-war protester — who’s also a disabled veteran (deaf).

As evidenced by an RT video, Crooms was taken down forcefully by police and apparently knocked unconscious. A senior citizen attempted to pull off the officer who was beating Crooms, but the lawman turned an punched the elderly man six times in the face before choking him.

Following the arrests, in a related video, one man can be heard screaming, “he was alive when you put him in the car!” The camera angle purportedly shows Crooms being loaded into an ambulance following his arrest. Todd was apparently overcome with despair, loudly weeping at the sight of his friend and fellow protester being taken to the hospital.

The veteran lost his hearing aid in the melee. Fellow protesters recovered it at the scene.

The arrests occurred when police officers penetrated the protesters’ group and appear to have provoked a reaction by the ant-war gatherers. Police engaged in fighting with the groups’ members, which gave the officers all the probable cause they needed to make the arrests.

While the video doesn’t show the entire encounter, what can be observed is aggressive policing on the part of the officers of the peace. Later, the group held a post-rally meeting where they called on all charges to be dropped against the protesters. In all, six protesters were arrested at the Jacksonville JAWS anti-war protest.

Crooms’ arrest is probably one of many, as anti-war protests spontaneously popped up all throughout the country. New York, LA, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, DC, San Francisco, and Seattle were cities in which protests against the War on Syria were taking place.

All those free thinkers have to do is remember when the U.S. used the same argument being used today, that Saddam Hussein had gassed his own people, to get the full agreement of the American public to support the president’s decision to attack a sovereign country.

United Nations Finally Acknowledges US-Backed Rebels in Syria are Murdering Civilians

United Nations Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura stated Sunday that he is “appalled and shocked by the high number of rockets indiscriminately launched by armed opposition groups” which have killed hundreds of civilians in Aleppo during recent weeks. The attacks from groups supported by the United States were described as “relentless and indiscriminate” while targeting civilians and killing children, according to the statement released by de Mistura’s office.

The battle for eastern Aleppo has become more violent as the Syrian army continues to regain control of the strategic city while targeting the UN designated terrorist group Jahbat Al Nusra, which is known as Al Qaeda in Syria. Most of the attacks by opposition groups have targeted civilians as almost 100 civilians were reported killed in 3 days in western Aleppo, which is controlled by the Syrian government.

US officials and others claim that opposition groups supported by the United States are also being targeted by the Syrian army and civilians are being killed. However, US-backed groups have continued to work directly with Al Nusra in Aleppo, and, for more than six months, have refused requests by the United States and Russia to separate from terrorist groups.

UN Envoy Staffan de Mistura condemned the attacks by these groups because they continue using inaccurate weapons to launch attacks which are claimed as self-defense against the attacks from the Syrian army.

“Those who argue that this is meant to relieve the siege of eastern Aleppo should be reminded that nothing justifies the use of disproportionate, indiscriminate [attacks,] including heavy weapons on civilian areas and it could amount to war crimes,” de Mistura said.

Opposition groups have also used chemical weapons with the most recent attack occurring on October 30, killing 3 and injuring 40 civilians in western Aleppo areas controlled by the government. Non-governmental organization Amnesty International said the attacks show “a shocking disregard for civilian lives” in a statement released Monday.

“The goal of breaking the siege on eastern Aleppo does not give armed opposition groups a license to flout the rules of international humanitarian law by bombarding civilian neighborhoods in government-held areas without distinction,” said Samah Hadid, a senior Amnesty official in the Beirut regional office.

The Syrian war has seen an increase in violence after the collapse of the September 9 ceasefire agreement negotiated by diplomatic officials from the United States and Russia. Opposition groups contributed to the collapse of the ceasefire after violating the ceasefire over 300 times in the first two weeks, according to the Syrian news agency SANA. Amnesty International also cited the United States being responsible for more than 300 civilian deaths in recent weeks.

The ceasefire agreement called for Russia to influence the Syrian government forces to stop fighting for control and for the US to influence rebel groups to separate from terrorist groups Al Nusra and Islamic State so they could be targeted by joint US-Russia military campaigns. The US has failed to achieve this since February 2016 despite US officials claiming to be in daily contact with rebel groups.

Another significant incident causing the Syrian ceasefire to fail was the September 17 attack by the United States on Syrian troops fighting the Islamic State near the city of Deir Ezzor, killing more than 80 troops and wounding over 100 others — including civilians. That incident, which the US called an accident, led to public accusations from Russia that the US is intentionally helping the Islamic State.

A few days later on September 19, Russia was accused by the US of bombing a United Nations aid convoy for Aleppo, a charge denied by Russia citing forensic evidence indicating that the attack was not an airstrike. The ongoing public tension led to the United States ending direct negotiations with Russia over the Syrian conflict on October 3, and both sides have since traded public declarations which many see as heightened war rhetoric.
