BREAKING: Memos Reveal Comey Cleared Clinton BEFORE Interviewing Her & 17 Other Key Witnesses

Washington, DC – In what can be described as nothing less than a bombshell revelation, memos from former FBI director James Comey, obtained by the Senate Judiciary Committee investigating his firing by President Trump, reveal that the bureau chief began writing drafts of a statement clearing Hillary Clinton of criminal wrongdoing prior to at least key 17 witnesses being interviewed by the FBI – including Clinton herself.

These newly discovered facts raise the question; how can someone be exonerated of a crime before the investigation has been completed?

During a press conference, on July 5, 2016, former FBI director Comey stated that he would not recommend charges to the U.S. Department of Justice, and noted that despite her mishandling of classified information on a private email server, there was no intent to subvert the law.

The incriminating revelations, that Comey began drafting memos of an exoneration letter, come from transcripts of interviews given by two FBI official, according to the Daily Caller.

James Rybicki, Comey’s chief of staff, and Trisha Anderson, the principal deputy general counsel of national security and cyberlaw at the FBI, gave the interviews as part of an investigation conducted by the Office of Special Counsel into the FBI’s handling of the Clinton email investigation.

While the transcripts of those interviews are heavily redacted, they indicate that Comey started working on an announcement clearing Clinton in April or May of last year, before the FBI interviewed 17 witnesses in the case, including Clinton and some of her top aides.

Comey actually began penning a letter exonerating Clinton in April or May of 2016, but Clinton wasn’t even interviewed until July 2 – only three days prior to Comey’s public announcement.

It seems logical that the only way Comey could have decided that Clinton was innocent prior to her and numerous witnesses being interviewed is if the facts of the case were not connected to her exoneration – or more succinctly – the investigation was simply political theater for the masses, and more importantly, rigged from the start.

Two U.S. Senators, Iowa Sen. Chuck Grassley and South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham, sent a letter to the FBI, which specifically noted that Comey’s draft was prepared well before two Clinton aides, Cheryl Mills and Heather Samuelson, were given what Republicans deemed a “highly unusual” immunity deal with the U.S. Justice Department.

The “highly unusual” limited immunity deal prohibited FBI agents and prosecutors from inquiring about conversations between Platte River Networks, the tech firm that managed Clinton’s private email server after she left the State Department, and Mills and Samuelson.

The Senators strongly questioned how Comey could have conducted a complete and impartial investigation if he had already drawn a conclusion about the outcome of the case prior to all of the interviews and evidence having been collected.

“Conclusion first, fact-gathering second — that’s no way to run an investigation,” Grassley and Graham wrote in the letter to the FBI. “The FBI should be held to a higher standard than that, especially in a matter of such great public interest and controversy.”

“The outcome of an investigation should not be prejudged while FBI agents are still hard at work trying to gather the facts,” they added.

The facts speak for themselves, and as many people already suspected, there was no real investigation into the criminal actions of Hillary Clinton.

Instead, the American public was treated to a dog and pony show meant to look as if Clinton was being held to the same standards as any other citizen. However, the same rules that would apply to any other American were summarily dismissed in an effort to bolster the presidential candidacy of an extremely powerful political operator.

As the legendary George Carlin so eloquently proclaimed, “It’s a big club, and you ain’t in it!”

‘Gas shortage’ plagues Texas cities as stations run dry

(INTELLIHUB) — Texas cities like Austin and Dallas are now starting to experience what people are dubbing a ‘gas shortage’ with long lines and in some cases dry pumps.

Although the shortages are most-likely being caused from the storm’s crippling of critical oil refineries, some are not so sure and feel that the crisis may be orchestrated. Either way the result is the same — long lines at the pumps and no gas at some stations altogether.

In Austin today there were long lines at Riverside Chevron on S. Congress Ave. where gas is expected to run out completely by nightfall.

This coming October will be the 100 year anniversary of the Bolshevik Revolution in Russia. And the quickly mounting evidence coming from many directions now points to a planned Communist-style coup d’etat against president Trump and America in the name of “anti-fascism”. Neither is civil behavior, mutual respect, good will, civil discussion, the desire for harmony or for that matter anything positive and of good natured. Not at all. The entire concept of revolution including the Communist revolution of yesteryears is about force, anger, hatred for the current government, resistance, violence, war, uprising, showing might, radicalism, militant behavior and imposing your will on another. Does any of this sound like what America and the Constitution and Bill of Rights is all about? Does any of this sound like a Republic ruled for and by the people or a democracy? Not at all because the “anti-fascist” Communists despise America and the Constitution and they hate free speech.

This leaves us with the glaring reality that America is now officially under attack. And the documents that have been unveiled recently only solidify this predicament we are now in. The first document addressed in my recent podcast is a memo written by Rich Higgins former director of strategic planning at the National Security Council. Higgins put out a rather damning and alarming memo back in May of 2017 warning of a complex and well coordinated coup d’etat planned against president Trump. This memo was discovered in July by National Security Advisor H.R. McMaster who then fired Higgins from his post. And to add another twists to this story Higgins himself has a background in “Irregular warfare” when working as a Pentagon official. The memo itself is packed with details of how a coup d’etat against Trump would be conducted.

Surprise: Most Americans (And Most African-Americans) Oppose Removing Confederate Monuments

A solid majority of Americans favor leaving monuments to Confederate leaders where they are, according to a series of new polls.

One survey, by The Huffington Post/YouGov, found that only 29 percent of Americans want them removed.

“Americans are generally unsupportive of attempts to remove memorials honoring Confederate leaders,” Ariel Edwards-Levy of The Huffington Post wrote.

A separate survey even found that a plurality of African-Americans opposed their removal.

Among highlights of recent surveys:

• 62 percent of adults in a National Public Radio (NPR)/Marist survey favored keeping Confederate monuments. The same survey found that 27 percent of Americans supported removal.


• 54 percent of those surveyed by Reuters/Ispos opposed statue removal. That survey found 27 percent of Americans wanted the monuments removed.


• 52 percent of respondents to a Morning Consult/Politico poll opposed removing monuments. Twenty-six percent wanted the monuments removed.


• 44 percent of African-Americans opposed removal of Confederate statues, an NPR/PBS News Hour/Marist Poll Forty percent wanted them removed.

Even some prominent Democrats oppose removal of Confederate statues and symbols, National Review writer John Fund pointed out.

“I think it is too costly to refight the Civil War. We have paid too great a price in trying to bring people together,” former Atlanta Mayor Andrew Young told The Atlanta Journal Constitution. “I personally feel that we made a mistake in fighting over the Confederate flag here in Georgia. Or that that was an answer to the problem of the death of nine people — to take down the Confederate flag in South Carolina. I am always interested in substance over symbols. If the truth be known, we’ve had as much agony — but also glory — under the United States flag. That flew over segregated America. It flew over slavery.”

7 Incredible Tools The Native Americans Crafted From Tree Bark

Most of us see little use for bark. We peel it before we build with it, we trim it off before smoking fish or game, and we generally don’t see much value in it as firewood or a dependable heat source.

Native people, though, had a much different viewpoint. They used bark from many trees as a resource for numerous solutions, but there’s a trick to working with this material.

Paper birch is the bark of choice for bark crafters, and the Ojibway took barkcraft to a new level thanks to the fact that birch grew everywhere they lived. Other tribes had to make-do with stiffer and less pliable resources, although slippery elm, willow and aspen offered workable solutions.

Harvesting Bark

Be careful with living, green trees. If you remove too much bark, you will potentially kill the tree. In fact, if you cut the bark from a tree around its circumference, it will be dead in weeks, if not months. Native peoples would sometime “girdle” a tree. This involved removing bark around the full circumference of the tree; this was a designed action and they knew that the following year the tree would be dead. Often, a large fire was started at the base and stone axes were used to cut into the weakened and charred wood until repeated fires and chopping felled the tree.

Even a dead birch tree will provide a strong and pliable source of bark. If you come across a dead-fall birch, harvest the bark to your heart’s content. If you’re desperate and only have access to live trees, limit your cuts and stripping to half of the tree if you can. That will at least give it a fighting chance for recovery.

You may be wondering: Why is bark so important to a tree? The inner bark or “xylem” is essentially the circulatory system for any tree. Water and nutrients are delivered to the tree from the roots to its leaves by this circulation. That’s why a “girdled” tree will soon die. When its only source of water and nutrients is cut off, the tree has no options for survival.

Pre-Treating Bark

There are a few steps to making any bark more workable. Some tree bark, like the slippery elm, requires a bit of scraping of the outer bark to make the piece more pliable. Birch is naturally flexible, but it will be curved when first harvested. Native Americans flattened the birch bark on the ground with the curved side down and weighted it with stones. The moisture in the ground and the weight of the stones eventually flattened the bark.

Another key step is to soak the bark in hot water before working with it. This also adds some flexibility, and it helps to keep the bark from splitting when it’s folded or shaped.

Many bark creations were sewn at the seams with cordage or strips of leather to re-enforce items like baskets and bowls. If the object needed to hold water, the seams were sealed with pine pitch.

Let’s take a look at items the Native Americans made from bark:

1. Cup

One of the easiest and most common uses for bark was for a ladle or drinking cup.  A circle of birch bark was cut and a triangular fold was made from the center to the edge. This fold was then overlapped to form a cone. The creased bark was held in place with a stick with a split in it, and the fact that the bark was not cut made it water tight to either scoop water from a spring, or to simply drink it as a cup.

2. Bowl

This same approach was used with a wider circle of birch bark or slippery elm to make bowls supported by rocks around the side, or a hat that would shade you from the sun or protect you from the rain.

3. Pot

The bowl concept also can allow you to cook with a bark cooking pot. Hot stones were picked from a fire with two sticks much like chop sticks, and the stones were swirled in the water until the water actually started to boil.

But be careful with hot rocks. A rock from a river may appear nice and smooth, but many of them contain moisture in their cracks and crevices and can explode and shatter in the fire. Igneous rocks like granite or basalt are the best because they are less likely to be porous and allow water to seep in.

4. Sunglasses

“Sunglasses” are another option, with a piece of bark cut about six inches wide and two inches in height. You may doubt the need for sunglasses, but in winter, snow-blindness is a serious problem, as sunlight reflects off forests and fields of snow. These sunglasses, though, did not contain any glass or plastic. A couple of sticks were used to support the bark strip over the ears like a regular pair of sunglasses, and two crosses in the shape of a plus sign (+) were cut into the bark at eye level.

A semi-circular cut was made to fit over the bridge of the nose. The size of the crosses was usually a half-inch long both up and across, and the slit was about an eighth of an inch wide. You look at the world through the slit, which allows less light and protects your eyes. This was actually an Eskimo invention.

5. Backpack

A backpack is also easy to make with a long piece of bark about three feet in length and a foot and a half wide. The bark was folded over, and the seams on either side were sown together with cordage or long strips of leather. Holes were poked first and the cordage or leather simply woven through. Straps from cordage or leather were attached and reinforced with more lacing. and everything from personal items to harvested plants, fruits and vegetables could be carried with ease.

6. Candle lantern

A curved piece of birch bark, wrapped and held in place at the base around a circle of sawn wood creates a wind block and reflector for a candle lantern in a fixed camp. Be careful using this indoors. Birch bark is highly flammable, which makes it great tinder, but not something you want to burst into flames in a cabin.

7. Torch

A simple torch is easy to improvise, with strips of birch bark held in place by a slit in a long branch. Additional strips of bark can be added as the birch burns; it actually gives off a good amount of light for a long time.

Final thoughts

All Native American tribes crafted canoes from birch, but that’s something that’s a bit beyond my expertise, although I’ve had success making small-scale toy canoes from birch bark, and my kids and grandkids still play with them. Maybe someday I’ll see if I can scale it up and actually make a birch bark canoe, but I’ll definitely be testing it in very shallow water.

HARVEY FLOODS: City of 118K Loses Water Supply — Hospital Evacuating

A major hospital in Beaumont is evacuating Thursday morning after the entire city lost its water supply. The city of 118,000 lost its two water pumps that supply pressure the system.

Rising waters from Tropical Storm Harvey flooded the East Texas city and shut down the main water pumps, National Weather Service officials reported on Thursday morning. The city is expected to lose water pressure throughout the entire city.

“At this time, there is no water supply for the City water system,” officials stated.

“We will have to wait until the water levels from this historical flood recede before we can determine the extent of damage and make any needed repairs,” city official stated. “There is no way to determine how long this will take at this time.”

In response, Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas ordered a transfer of patients from their facility. Officials posted the following on Facebook:

Due to the failure of the city’s water pump, it is in the best interest of our current patients to transfer to other acute care facilities. Due to the city-wide lack of services, we have no other alternative but to discontinue all services which will include emergency services. This is being done immediately.

Officials urged residents to fill bathtubs, sinks, pots or other receptacles with water as soon as possible.

WATCH: Cop Fired for Attacking Innocent Elderly Vet Gets Termination Reversed & Back Pay

Seattle, WA — An overzealous cop was fired in 2015 after the officer was caught falsely accusing a 69-year-old man of swinging a golf club at her patrol car. Accused by the police chief of acting with racial bias in an unnecessarily aggressive manner, Officer Cynthia Whitlatch wrongfully arrested an Air Force veteran walking down the street using a golf club as a cane. Although Whitlatch argued that her dash cam video recorded the elderly man swinging at her, the video does not support any of her allegations. Now, two years later, this cop is having her termination reversed and receiving two years of back pay.

As KIRO 7 reports:

The back pay is more than $105,000 in two lump payments, paying her for 90 hours a month for the time since she was fired. All sustained findings by the Office of Professional Accountability about Whitlatch’s conduct will remain in place.

The agreement, signed Saturday by Police Chief Kathleen O’Toole, also is expected to give Whitlatch her full pension for her 18 years as an officer and the two additional years after her firing.

“Her not being on the force, that’s a good thing, regardless of how it is done,” Wingate said. “I wish nothing bad on nobody. I’m not here to hate on anybody. … That’s not me.”

At 1:06 p.m. on July 9, 2014, while collecting her near $50 per hour salary, the dash cam video from Whitlatch’s patrol car captured footage of the officer harassing 69-year-old William Wingate, who appears standing on the corner and using a golf club to support himself. After stepping out of her patrol car, Whitlatch immediately orders the elderly man to drop his golf club even though he is not using it in a threatening manner. Unable to hear the officer at first, Wingate removes an earbud from his left ear and repeatedly asks the antagonistic cop: “What’s going on?”

As Whitlatch continues ordering him to put down the golf club, Wingate tells her to call someone because he’s been walking in Seattle with that golf club for 20 years. After she informs Wingate that he’s being audio and videotaped, the apparently delusional officer accuses the elderly gentleman of swinging his golf club at her.

“I ain’t done nothing to nobody,” Wingate explains to her.

In response, Whitlatch says, “You just swang that golf club at me.”

“I did not!” Wingate defended.

“Yes, you did. Right back there. It was on audio and videotape,” Whitlatch lied.

While Whitlatch can be heard requesting for backup on her radio, Wingate begins explaining to a bystander that he’s being harassed for no good reason. After Whitlatch threatens to arrest him, Wingate tells her, “My church is up there, and everybody knows me.”

As Officer Chris Cole approaches the scene, Whitlatch can briefly be seen brandishing a nightstick while following Wingate. After the frightened senior hands over his golf club, Whitlatch digs through his pockets but finds nothing illegal. The rest of the video depicts Wingate being loaded into the back of a transport van and sent to jail for committing no crime.

Falsely accused of swinging his golf club at a patrol car, Wingate spent over 25 hours in jail after being booked for obstruction and harassment. Although Whitlatch pushed the Seattle City Attorney’s Office to charge the elderly veteran with obstructing a police officer, an assistant city attorney declined to charge him with obstruction but decided instead to charge Wingate with unlawful use of a weapon to intimidate.

Unable to afford decent legal representation, Wingate pleaded guilty to the misdemeanor charge under an agreement in which the case would be expunged after two years if he complied with all conditions ordered by the judge. But after reviewing the dash cam footage, the Seattle City Attorney’s Office dismissed the charge, and the police chief formally apologized to Wingate nearly eight months after his arrest.

After the dash cam video was released to the public in January of 2015, Mayor Ed Murray ordered Whitlatch to be removed from public patrol duties. In a disciplinary action report filed last year, Police Chief Kathleen O’Toole accused Whitlatch of being inappropriately aggressive while unnecessarily escalating the situation.

“You never asked the individual any questions during the Terry stop to determine if he had, in fact, swung the golf club towards you and/or into a stop sign,” wrote Chief O’Toole. “Despite that, and despite never actually seeing him swing a golf club toward your car or hitting a stop sign, you actively participated in moving forward with an arrest for obstruction and even called the prosecutor days later to push for prosecution of the individual.”

In April of 2015, Wingate filed a lawsuit against Whitlatch for race discrimination, false imprisonment, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and violation of his civil rights. His lawsuit also accused her of making racially derogatory comments on her personal Facebook page after Wingate’s arrest and the Ferguson riots. In her report, Chief O’Toole noted that Whitlatch also made disturbing comments about the race of a judge and deputy chief involved in expunging Wingate’s criminal record related to his wrongful arrest.

“You expressed a strong belief that these actions were taken because the judge and deputy chief are black, and that race drove the decision-making of a high-ranking Department official and a long-serving Municipal Court Judge, not the legitimate factual and legal analysis by thoughtful and dedicated public servants,” O’Toole wrote. “Such statements further indicate that your biased views prevent you from being able to honestly reflect on your own job performance and successfully receive constructive criticism of your policing techniques because you view the critiques as racially motivated.”

Unwilling to admit any fault, Whitlatch claims that she was being targeted due to the fact that she is white. In her report, O’Toole wrote, “I was disappointed by your failure…to take any responsibility, or show any understanding that your conduct at issue here was inappropriate.”

“Your inability to understand, even in hindsight, that your behavior was unnecessarily aggressive, an abuse of discretion, and negatively impacted the community’s confidence in this police service, offers me no pathway to understand how you can improve and do better,” O’Toole concluded. “For the reasons summarized above, and while giving careful consideration to your full employment history as well as the facts of this case, your employment is terminated.”

Now, however, all that sentiment has apparently changed and O’Toole signed the grievance resolution on Saturday to show that Witlatch retired instead of being fired. An innocent elderly man was assaulted, kidnapped, and falsely charged. The cop who did this to him was rewarded with a $50 per hour salary for two years of not working. And, Americans have the audacity to call this ‘justice.’

Christian Leaders Issue Statement Reaffirming Biblical View of Sexuality

A coalition of conservative Evangelical Christian leaders have issued a statement on what they believe the Bible clearly communicates about sexuality. Dubbed the Nashville Statement, the document was the result of a meeting convened in Nashville by the group Council on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood on August 25, during which like-minded pastors, Bible scholars, ministry heads, and others hammered out the statement for the purpose of countering the notion that Christians can “agree to disagree” concerning what they think the Bible has to say about homosexuality, transgender behavior, and other lifestyles once considered incompatible with Christian faith.

“The spirit of our age does not delight in God’s good design of male and female,” explained Denny Burk, president of CBMW. “Consequently, confusion reigns over some of the most basic questions of our humanity. The aim of the Nashville Statement is to shine a light into the darkness — to declare the goodness of God’s design in our sexuality and in creating us as male and female.”

Among the 14 affirmations made in the Nashville Statement are:

• “God has designed marriage to be a covenantal, sexual, procreative, lifelong union of one man and one woman, as husband and wife.”

• “God’s revealed will for all people is chastity outside of marriage and fidelity within marriage.”

• “... self-conception as male or female should be defined by God’s holy purposes in creation and redemption as revealed in Scripture.”

• “... people who experience sexual attraction for the same sex may live a rich and fruitful life pleasing to God through faith in Jesus Christ, as they, like all Christians, walk in purity of life.”

• “... sin distorts sexual desires by directing them away from the marriage covenant and toward sexual immorality — a distortion that includes both heterosexual and homosexual immorality.”

• “... it is sinful to approve of homosexual immorality or transgenderism [and] such approval constitutes an essential departure from Christian faithfulness and witness.”

• “... the grace of God in Christ enables sinners to forsake transgender self conceptions and by divine forbearance to accept the God-ordained link between one’s biological sex and one’s self-conception as male or female.”

• “... Christ Jesus has come into the world to save sinners [and] through Christ’s death and resurrection forgiveness of sins and eternal life are available to every person who repents of sin and trusts in Christ alone.”

The Reverend John Piper, a popular evangelical pastor and co-founder of CBMW, called the statement “a Christian manifesto concerning issues of human sexuality,” noting that it “speaks with forthright clarity, biblical conviction, gospel compassion, cultural relevance, and practical helpfulness. It will prove to be, I believe, enormously helpful for thousands of pastors and leaders hoping to give wise, biblical, and gracious guidance to their people.”

One of the Nashville Statement"s most conspicuous signers was Rosaria Butterfield, a former tenured feminist, lesbian professor and now a deeply committed Christian and the wife of a Reformed Presbyterian pastor. “I am signing the Nashville Statement because I stand with biblical orthodoxy, the only witness for hope and peace and God’s blessing,” said Butterfield. “By God through the merit and power of Jesus Christ, here I stand.”

Among many other high-profile Christian leaders adding their signatures to the Nashville Statement were J. I. Packer, James Dobson, John MacArthur, Russell Moore, Wayne Grudem, Tony Perkins, D. A. Carson, Albert Mohler, Francis Chan, R. C. Sproul, Sam Allberry, and Marvin Olasky.

Given the statement"s title, Nashville Mayor Megan Barry quickly denounced the document, tweeting that the “so-called "Nashville Statement" is poorly named and does not represent the inclusive values of the city and people of Nashville.”

The CBMW"s Denny Burk said that the statement"s signers hope the document “might provide help for churches and Christian organizations that are looking for biblical guidance on how to address homosexuality and transgenderism. We also aim to foster a coalition of like-minded evangelicals to stand together for the challenging days ahead. Finally, we wish to influence a rising generation of evangelicals who are under pressure to abandon scriptural teaching about marriage, gender, and sexuality.

Federal Judge Refuses Chicago’s Request to Dismiss Long-running Gun Shop Suit Against it

In a long-running lawsuit that should be testing the limits of the patience of the Second Amendment Foundation (SAF), U.S. District Court Judge Robert Dow on Wednesday denied the city’s latest request to dismiss the case, and set September 28 as the next date to discuss the amount of damages Chicago owes to the long-suffering plaintiff. 

A measure of the intransigence of mayors of Chicago Richard Daley and Rahm Emanuel is the lengths to which they will go — or pay to have their lawyers go — to defer, delay, stall, and use other legal machinations to wear out the plaintiffs in the case known as Second Amendment Arms v. City of Chicago. Following the Supreme Court’s decision in McDonald v. City of Chicago in 2010, the city, at the direction of the Mayor Richard Daley and a compliant city council, decided to redraft its gun control laws (referred to in the case as the “Old Gun Ban Ordinance”) into a new equally onerous, offensive, and unconstitutional set of laws (called the “New Gun Ban Ordinance”).

Following the McDonald decision Joseph Franzese, the owner of Second Amendment Arms gun shop, applied for a license to open a store in downtown Chicago. His first attempt succeeded, and he was granted permission. But following the “New Gun Ban Ordinance,” the city withdrew its permission, and Franzese, with the help of the SAF, sued.

In the initial complaint, running 26 pages, Franzese listed all the ways in which the new set of restrictions impeded his ability to open a gun shop and do business in downtown Chicago. He started the complaint by outlining what then-Chicago’s anti-gun Mayor Richard Daley proposed to do, which included:

Limiting registration of no more than one handgun per month … and generally prohibiting the possession of [that] handgun by any person except in the person’s home;

Establishing a two-step process to own and register a handgun…;

Prohibiting handgun ownership by anyone who has been convicted of any violent crime, has two or more offenses for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and under state law has been convicted of domestic violence;

Banning “assault weapons” and providing mandatory jail time … for anyone who is caught with one;

Requiring firearms safety training, both in a classroom and on a firing range;

Banning gun shops; and

Including “severe” penalties for violating the ordinance, including hefty fines and jail time.

This was an attempt, said Franzese, by Mayor Daley “to circumvent the Supreme Court ruling in McDonald v. Chicago and deliberately deny Chicago’s law-abiding residents and others wishing to purchase or use lawful firearms in the city the ability to acquire obtain, keep and bear arms.”

Thus began the long tortuous journey through the courts that resulted in the decision by Judge Dow on Wednesday to rule against the city’s new request to dismiss the case and instead set a date to determine the amount of the damages the city owes to Franzese for his trouble and expense.

As noted by SAF, Dow’s decision

is the latest in a string of court battles between Chicago and SAF, causing SAF founder and Executive Vice President Alan M. Gottlieb to observe, “We’ve already beat Chicago three times, in the McDonald case before the Supreme Court, and both Ezell 1 and Ezell 2 [which prevents Chicago from banning gun ranges inside city limits] before the federal court of appeals. I’m reminded of the folk song by Peter, Paul and Mary that asked, "When Will They Ever Learn?”

The SAF added:

Since losing its gun ban fight in the Supreme Court’s 2010 McDonald ruling, Chicago has been digging its heels in deeper and deeper, throwing every kind of legal roadblock it could in an effort to delay what seems inevitable.

The city has got to follow the law and the Constitution, and as long as they keep fighting, we’ll keep suing.

There have been more than 200 pre-trial motions filed in the case, with responses by the SAF to every one. Said Gottlieb: “That’s what winning firearms freedom one lawsuit at a time is all about.”

SPLC Releases Map Showing Schools With Confederate-linked Names That They Say Must Come Down

“More than 1,500 Confederate monuments stand in communities like Charlottesville with the potential to unleash more turmoil and bloodshed,” posted the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), a radical leftist organization that likes to label normal conservative groups as “hate groups.”

“It’s time to take them down,” the SPLC posted, along with a map of where Confederate-linked statues, towns, cities, counties, and schools are located.

Apparently the SPLC is urging visitors to their website to write letters to the editor of local newspapers, reminding the readers, “White supremacists incited deadly violence in Charlottesville, Virginia, last week in defense of a Confederate monument.” The sample letter instructed letter-writers to include a reference to any particular Confederate monument located in the community.

“If our government continues to pay homage to the Confederacy, people of color can never be sure they will be treated fairly,” the SPLC letter added. “And we will never solve our community’s problems if an entire group of citizens is alienated or feels targeted for discrimination.”

What is particularly disturbing about the SPLC map is that it not only includes statues, but also lists counties (such as Lee County, Florida) and cities, and even dozens of schools, such as Jeff Davis Middle School in Hazlehurst, Georgia; Robert E. Lee Elementary school in Columbia, Missouri; and Stonewall Jackson Elementary School in Bristol, Georgia.

Interestingly, after the Civil War, Lee became a university president. Before the war, Jackson was a champion of education for black children. Since both men were educators, naming schools after them seems highly appropriate.

While the SPLC decries Confederate statues, place names, and school names as somehow “racist,” a plurality of African-Americans (44 percent to 40 percent) favor keeping the statues standing, according to a NPR/PBS/Marist poll. Sixty-two percent of all Americans favor keeping statues that honor leaders of the late Confederate States.

The inclusion of school names on the map seems particularly irresponsible and worrisome, considering that there is a history of violence as a result of SPLC postings. For example, a similar graphic apparently inspired a terrorist attack upon the Family Research Council (FRC) in 2012. Floyd Corkins broke into the FRC’s D.C. headquarters with the intention to murder every person inside. During an interrogation with the FBI, Corkins said he was inspired to kill people inside the FRC building because it was listed by the SPLC as an “anti-gay group.”

This past summer, a Bernie Sanders supporter, James Hodgkinson, targeted Republican members of Congress who were practicing for an upcoming charity baseball game between Democratic and Republican members of Congress. He nearly killed Representative Steve Scalise (R-La.). Hodgkinson indicated on Facebook that he was a fan of the SPLC, which had repeatedly attacked Scalise.

There are 109 public schools in America named after either Robert E. Lee, Jefferson Davis, or other Confederate icons, that may now become targets of some person inspired by the SPLC map.

One school superintendent, Aurora Lora of the Oklahoma City Public Schools, was on board with the SPLC, even raising the issue of what to do about four grade schools in her district that she claimed had Confederate-linked names. (Previously, the district had decided to remove the mascot name “Redskins” from Capitol Hill High School, charging it was demeaning to Native American Indian students.)

But Lora incorrectly claimed that two schools were named after Confederate generals — Lee and Wheeler: They were actually named after early civic leaders in the community. Another was named for Stonewall Jackson. The fourth one was named for Stand Watie, the last Confederate general to surrender, on June 23, 1865, in what is now southeastern Oklahoma, but what was then Indian Territory.

Watie was the only American Indian to achieve the rank of general during the Civil War, and was a war-time chief of the Cherokee Nation.

Hopefully, none of the schools in Oklahoma City, or anywhere else in the country will be attacked by terrorists inspired by the SPLC. But violence has already occurred against supporters of Confederate monuments.

In the summer of 2015, Confederate flag activist Anthony Hervey, an African-American, was driven off the road and killed in rural Mississippi while returning from Alabama, where he had spoken at a rally of 400 in Birmingham in support of Confederate heritage. Hervey, who was 49, had written a book, Why I Wave the Confederate Flag: Written by a Black Man, and was the founder of the Black Confederate Soldiers Foundation.

Hervey was given a ride from Mississippi to Alabama by Arlene Barnum of Oklahoma, another African-American who is a Confederate heritage activist. Hervey was killed in the incident, and she spent time in the hospital.

When she left the hospital, members of the Sons of Confederate Veterans (SCV) provided her anescort back to her own home in southeastern Oklahoma. She described the attack on her and Hervey in a personal interview with The New American. Barnum told me that Southern pride was instilled in her from the time she was a little girl, growing up in Louisiana. She explained that her ancestor, Richard Stills, was a Confederate soldier.

She lamented that if the “race-baiting” did not stop, she feared we are going to see a “race war.”

The late Anthony Hervey observed in 2000, “We currently live under a psychological form of reconstruction. Whites are made to feel guilty for sins of their ancestors, and blacks are made to feel downtrodden.”

CNN, MSNBC: Climate Change Caused Hurricane Harvey (VIDEO)

CNN and MSNBC have been working double time to turn the Hurricane Harvey disaster into a conversation about climate change.

“12 years ago was Katrina. We’ve now had three storms in 12 years that were as bad as this,” The New Yorker’s Ryan Lizza said on CNN. “A lot of Democrats will be saying, you know, climate change is actually…this is the kind of flooding you would predict based on the climate change models.”

CNN host John Berman pressured a Republican congressman to blame the disaster on climate change, asking if hurricanes are “really just a part of life.”

“Is this something that’s just a part of life?” Berman asked, claiming he didn’t want to “get into the politics of climate change.”

“Is this something the federal and local government need to have a bigger conversation about?” he pressed.

Putin Orders Evacuation Of East Russian Residents To “Safe Zones” In Anticipation Of War With North Korea

It seems like there is a new escalation between the United States and North Korea on a daily basis. This week the United States sent  F-15 tactical fighter aircraft to the region and tested bombs along the North Korean border in a show of force, to which Kim Jong Un responded by telling his citizens that a war with America is “imminent.”

Earlier this week we reported that well known cyclical forecaster Martin Armstrong warned that the window for war will be wide open by mid September, and recent actions in Russia suggest his prediction could well come to pass.

According to numerous reports, Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered the evacuation of residents living in eastern cities on Russia’s border with North Korea, including 1,500 people in Vladivostok:

Russian civil defence officials were reportedly ordered to shift residents in the country’s far east to “safe areas” in a extraordinary move amid fears of a worldwide conflict.

…

The order to evacuate residents “came from the regional department of the Russian Ministry of Emergencies”, according to pro-Kremlin media outlets.

Russia shares a 24 mile land border with reclusive North Korea.

The civil protection department in Vladivostok was instructed to relocate residents living in the border area with North Korea.

…

A relocation scheme is being exercised as part of the training,” said a source.

Russian foreign ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has warned that the North Korean crisis could morph into an armed confrontation and “lead the world to the brink of a catastrophe”.

Americans Now Spend More on Taxes Than Food and Clothing—Combined

A troubling new report released this week by the Bureau of Labor Statistics shows that Americans spent more on taxes last year than they did on food and clothing—combined. As the report shows, this problem shows no signs of slowing as the average American’s rate of taxation is increasing at a staggering rate.

As CNS News reports, in 2016, according to BLS, “consumer units” (which include families, financially independent individuals, and people living in a single household who share expenses) spent more on average on federal, state and local taxes ($10,489) than they did on food ($7,203) and clothing ($1,803) combined ($9,006).

Instead of realizing they are taxing Americans, quite literally out of their clothes, the state has been increasing the rate every year.

The average tax bill for American “consumer units” increased from $7,423 in 2013 to $10,489 in 2016, according to data released this week by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

That is an increase of 41.13 percent—in only three years.

The survey publishes the itemized expenditures of what it refers to as “consumer units,” which include “all members of a particular household who are related by blood, marriage, adoption, or other legal arrangements,” or “a person living alone or sharing a household with others or living as a roomer in a private home or lodging house or in a permanent living quarters in a hotel or motel, but who is financially independent,” or “two or more persons living together who use their income to make joint expenditure decisions.” The BLS said that a consumer unit generally refers to a family.

In the land of the free, if you wish to remain relatively free, you must give the state a percentage of your income. If you do not give the state this income, they will continue to escalate pressure and eventually move to force. You will be subject to kidnapping, caging, or worse. This legalized extortion is sold to the American public as taxation.

Taxes, we are told, allow the government the ability to provide services for the citizens. Roads, schools, parks, etc., we are told, would not exist without all Americans being forced to hand over a portion of their wages they earn through their labor.

If you complain about taxation, the average American will answer back with the programmed response, somewhere along the lines of, “if you don’t like it, you can move to Somalia.” Sadly, however, this response does nothing to address the ever-increasing burden placed on the American people through taxation.

Most defenders of the state assume that government services provided through taxation help the poor too. And, sometimes, some poor people do benefit financially from government programs. But there’s a hidden cost: taxation and mandatory programs (Social Security, for instance) that hurt the needy by restricting their choices. Government taxes away income that low-income households could invest in improving their lives. At the same time, state-sponsored benefits create incentives that keep the poor trapped in poverty.

This never ending cycle of taxation and earning is compounded every year as rates increase and, as seen above, the government’s own data shows this.

While it is easy to sit back and thank the almighty state for roads and schools—which are in horrible condition—many Americans are entirely unaware of where most of their tax dollars actually end up.

For example, as of last year, in Afghanistan only, the number of failed projects, meaning only the ones that were unsuccessful, cost taxpayers over 100 billion. To put this number in perspective, the entire amount of money the United States allocates to spend on rebuilding America’s crumbling highways every year is less than half of that.

In addition to $ trillion+ war, we"ve spent $113 billion rebuilding Afghan… that"s 2x our own $50 billion annual federal highway spending!

But what about education. Compared to what America spends on maintaining the hundreds of military bases throughout the world, dropping bombs in Afghanistan, Yemen, Iraq, Syria, etc., education spending is a drop in the bucket.

The near $600 billion dollar bill Americans are hit with every year to keep the empire great is only the publicly admitted amount. As TFTP has reported in the past, the Pentagon often “loses” trillions of dollars in war spending.

It is also estimated that America has spent over $1 trillion in tax dollars kidnapping, caging, and killing people for possessing arbitrary substances deemed illegal by the state. Through the war on drugs, the government has squandered a trillion dollars of your tax dollars and the only thing we have to show for it is an opioid epidemic and the world’s largest prison population.

As Americans continue to be raked across the coals to fund the empire and the police state, it is also important to note that the tax rate increases every year because these tax addicts are spending way more money than they can possibly steal from the citizens.

In fact, a massive chunk of your tax dollars (hundreds of billions of dollars) goes to paying interest on the exponentially increasing national debt held by the Federal Reserve.

Once we take all these factors into consideration, it doesn’t take a genius to figure out that total government bankruptcy is a mathematical certainty—even if they took 100% of what you make.

As the years go by, the tax rate continues its upward trend, and America begins paying more in taxes than they make, remember that only a portion of this money goes to actual things that benefit you directly. In fact, as stated above, in the land of the free, your tax dollars are used more to decrease your freedom than anything else. 

The greatest threat facing America today
is the disastrous fiscal policies of our own government,
marked by shameless deficit spending and
Federal Reserve currency devaluation.
It is this one-two punch –
Congress spending more than it can tax or borrow,
and the Fed printing money to make up the difference –
that threatens to impoverish us by further
destroying the value of our dollars.
