It is also a call to action. Don’t miss the March 26th gun owner rally in Trenton sponsored by ANJRPC and NRA. A large turnout is expected. At the rally, we will hear from Second Amendment leaders, pro-gun public officials, and other notable speakers.
It’s time for gun owners to speak with one thunderous voice and let lawmakers know we are watching, we are not going away, and we are going to resist legislation that targets gun rights instead of gun criminals every step of the way. Get ready to make history with us!
We will assemble on and around the main steps, located on Barrack Street between Memorial Drive and Lafayette Street.
Weather: Rain or shine. Be prepared and dress appropriately for all weather conditions.
Directions: Click here or here for driving directions from all points.
Parking: The closest parking is at the Lafayette Garage (hotel parking), 1 West Lafayette Street. Other nearby garages include the Trenton Parking Authority,110 N. Warren Street, and the Trenton Parking Authority, E. Front Street between N. Warren and Broad Streets. Click here for additional parking options. Plan to arrive extra early, as Trenton is expected to be jam-packed that day.
Public Transportation: Direct rail service to Trenton is provided by both NJ Transit (1-800-582-5946) and Amtrak (1-800-872-7245). NJ Transit also provides bus service to and within the Trenton area (many buses stop at the WarMemorial, 1 block from the State House; others stop at the train station). From the train station, you can either take a cab, or it’s a 15-minute walk to the War Memorial – please plan the route ahead of time if you are taking public transportation and plan on walking!
ANJRPC Buses: ANJRPC is providing a limited number of buses from key locations around NJ. Click here to be redirected to a page (set up by our friends at Gun For Hire) where you can register for one of the ANJRPC buses. To cover a portion of the high cost of chartering the buses, a $10 donation will be collected from each passenger. Note: registration is on a first come, first served basis, seating is limited and cannot be guaranteed, and bus locations are subject to change or cancellation. Additionally, buses leaving Trenton after the rally are anticipated to depart mid-afternoon. There will be additional updates for bus registrants as we get closer to March 26.
Nearby Restaurants & Hotels: Click here for a list of restaurants and hotels in the area. There is also a cafeteria inside the State House Annex called Café NJ, and other nearby restaurants include Smoke House Bar-B-Q, 11 W. Front Street, Trenton (609-695-1911). We also think it’s a good idea for you to plan ahead and have some snacks with you at the rally in case you get hungry or thirsty.
Bathrooms: There will be porta-potties on site, but they may be challenging to access if more people attend the rally than anticipated, and we will not have access to the inside of the War Memorial due to another function there that day. Make sure you use other rest rooms immediately before the rally, and be prepared for the possibility that you might have to wait until the rally breaks up to use the restroom again.
Signage: The only restriction on any signage you might wish to bring is that it cannot be mounted to sticks or posts. That is a NJ State Police requirement, not ours.
Sales Prohibited: No items can be offered for sale at the rally. Again, that is a NJ State Police requirement, not ours.
Antagonists & Hecklers: If anti-gun hecklers and antagonists attempt to disrupt our rally, do not physically engage with them – that is the job of law enforcement. We are there to make a statement – keep your focus on the mission and don’t take the bait. Media will be watching.
For those going to the State House after the rally: After the rally ends, you may choose to go to the State House on your own to stop in to the Assembly or Senate galleries to observe legislator voting. Please note the following:
– This activity is not part of the rally and is on your own.
– The State House is going to be very crowded that day and seating in the galleries is extremely limited and cannot be guaranteed. If you do get a seat, you might lose it if you leave it (even to go to the bathroom).
– The voting sessions may not actually begin until after 2:00 pm and could go into the evening (but to get a seat, you’ll probably need to arrive much earlier than that).
– If you plan on staying for several hours, we advise that you eat right after the rally and before heading to the galleries.
– You will have to go through metal detectors to get into the State House, and will be subject to search.

Emphasis will be on effective coordination with local LEOs, with the schools, and with each other to avoid blue-on-blue tragedies, and emphasis will be on putting a primary on effective observation and overwatch, with direct action being the last resort, and only by our most skilled designated responders. Clearly, as President Trump stated, what should be done is to arm and train the teachers, just as is done in Israel. That would provide the most effective deterrent and the fastest defense, since the teachers and staff are right there with the intended victims, and are already tasked with taking care of the kids.

But until the idiotic laws and policies that demand disarmed teacher zones full of helpless children are changed here in the U.S., we military and police veteran Oath Keepers will fill the void by being as close to the schools as we can be, just as we filled the void by standing guard outside recruiting centers across the nation in the wake of the Chattenooga, TN terror attack when even well trained military recruiters were not allowed to carry firearms for their own defense.

We stood guard over adults who were left unarmed by idiotic policy. How much more of a duty do we have to stand guard over our children while their teachers are left unarmed by idiotic policy? We have a duty under our oath to step up and stand in the gap, by posting outside our schools in every community nationwide, standing guard as close to the schools as the local laws allow, so we are ready and able to be a quick reaction force to decisively stop any mass murderer or terrorist intent on killing children. As we have seen over and over again, the police cannot be everywhere and they also cannot possibly respond fast enough to put an immediate end to the killing. When second count, the police are minutes away.
Be sure to alert local law enforcement of what you will be doing, where you will post outside the school, how to easily identify you (such as with your Oath Keepers shirts and hats and any additional methods of identification you decide on), and also notify the school of your intent. Notice the key word there is “notify,” rather than asking for permission. When it comes to standing outside schools within the limits of the law to defend the lives of our children, you don’t need to ask permission of bureaucrats or politicians. Their Alice-in-Wonderland thinking – insisting on turning our schools into soft target kill boxes full of helpless kids, with disarmed teachers and staff who are not equipped to stop the attack – has created a terrorist’s dream setup on a silver platter.
Stand on your rights and your duty and get it done. Please also stay within the law, such as being only as close to the school as state and federal law allows (each state is different, so be sure you know the local rules) so as to deny our anti-gun/ anti-veteran/ anti-cop politically motivated leftist enemies an easy way to shut you down or even try to prosecute you for doing the right thing. The same goes for whether to be armed with a handgun or a long arm, and whether to go open carry or concealed. Know your local laws and use your own best judgment on what is the best method and posture for you to use in your local community.
President Trump recently declared that he would have run into that school even if unarmed to try to stop the killing. That’s the spirit! We who are trained and equipped to do it right have the highest duty, and the highest honor, of stepping in between the children and evil incarnate.
As we said in Army Airborne, the time has come to stand up, hook up, and shuffle to the door. Let’s get it done. If not us, then who? We must lead the way.

We still have Oath Keepers volunteers on the ground in Sutherland Springs, TX, helping provide security for the First Baptist Church of Sutherland Springs as they recover and rebuild after the horrendous mass shooting on November 5. A secondary mission for our team is to offer free security assessments to South Texas churches, and to offer free training for their security teams (helping them form a team if they have none, or helping them train the team they have).
Our men have been on the ground for the past week, at the invitation of the church pastors, and have done a superb job in helping to preserve the privacy and security of the church and its members as they go through the heart wrenching grieving, memorial, and healing process. And we will be part of the long term solution to help prevent this from happening again, which will also help to defend our gun rights by denying the enemies of the Second Amendment the victims they need to push their agenda.

Oath Keepers was requested by leaders of First Baptist Church to help with the tragedy. A small group of volunteer Oath Keepers are assessing the situation, assisting with security and beginning to formulate training plans to help church congregations protect themselves from this kind of attack in the future.
Some of our followers and members have asked what we are doing here and what we are guarding against. As expected, the media is out in full force. We are here to help ensure the victims’ families, congregation and the town are left to grieve in peace. We are here to help prevent a copy-cat incident. The memorial was opened to families at 5 PM on Sunday, November 12th. The memorial is scheduled to be open all week.

Pastor Frank Pomeroy and his wife, Sherri, took the podium Monday morning to respond to the mass shooting at their church in southeast Texas during the service on Sunday, Nov. 6. They lost their 14-year-old daughter that day.
On Wednesday, Nov. 8, Associate Pastor Kevin Cornelius from First Baptist Church of Sutherland Springs, TX and Pastor Mark Collins (who used to be pastor at the church) reached out to Oath Keepers and asked us to provide security for the church grounds, for the church service on Sunday, 11/12/2017, and to also provide security for some of the funerals for those killed in Sunday’s mass shooting. In response, Oath Keepers has been on the ground at the church since Thursday, November 9 and we are already bringing in some of our most experienced police and military veterans.
Help us provide security for the First Baptist Church of Sutherland Springs, TX and their community while they heal and recover from the horrendous mass shooting that took the lives of 26 people on Sunday, Nov. 5, and help us train church security teams in the area so they are better prepared to prevent and/or stop such acts of evil in the future.

We are now responsible for the security of the church grounds (both inside and outside the fence), and we will be assisting with the security of future church services and as security escorts for survivors and the family of the deceased as they attend services. We will also be available to provide security for funerals upon request of the families.
We have pledged to help the church with future security planning as they rebuild, and while on this mission, we will also be doing free security assessments for other churches in the area and throughout South Texas, and we will begin the process of training up church security teams. We are doing all of this for free, as volunteers, under our oath obligations and as part of our Community Preparedness Team (CPT) program.
Volunteers should expect to be heavily vetted and be prepared to undergo a background check. We prefer Oath Keepers members, but highly qualified non-members may also volunteer. This will be an armed detail, but it will be low profile and concealed carry. We do have long guns (since the best response to a terrorist rifle threat is a rifle in the hands of the good guys, as Steven Willeford showed last Sunday), but they too will remain concealed. Clothing will be solid colors only. Oath Keepers shirts and hats are encouraged to help assist with identification of our volunteers.
Please note that Oath Keepers DID NOT reach out to the church or the pastors. They contacted us. Pastor Mark Collins (who used to pastor at the church) is assisting Pastors Pomeroy and Cornelius in dealing with this tragedy. Pastor Collins has known me (Oath Keepers Founder Stewart Rhodes) for years and has worked with us in the past. Both of us were in the documentary “Revelation: Dawn of Global Government” and we have spoken at the same patriotic gatherings around the nation for years. Pastor Collins knows us, knows our past work, and trusts us to do this right, and that is why we were contacted to help. We are honored to help in any way we can.
Pastor Collins, who is best known nationwide for playing George Washington, is a great American patriot pastor and friend of Oath Keepers. The other pastors are also fantastic men who deserve our support and assistance.

While providing security for the church and the families, we are working alongside the Texas Highway Patrol, Wilson County Sheriff’s Office, Baptist Child and Family Services (BCFS) (who are in overall command of the scene), BioTech and the Red Cross. This is a very important mission. Yes, we do wish that the church had had an effective armed security team in place, with an effective security plan (as we have been calling for in all churches across America), but we must now help them heal and rebuild. And we hope we can also be part of helping prevent this from happening again to this church or to others in South Texas (and nationwide). We only wish he, or someone like him, had been in the church parking lot when the killer first arrived, rather than having to run there after the attack had already started. And that is why we strongly advocate that churches have an exterior security team, armed with rifles (concealed in their vehicle as they stand next to it), as well as concealed handguns on their person, so they can decisively stop such an attack at the outset. This will be an armed detail, but it will be low profile and concealed carry. We do have long guns (since the best response to a terrorist rifle threat is a rifle in the hands of the good guys, as Steven Willeford showed last Sunday), but they too will remain concealed. Clothing will be solid colors only. Oath Keepers shirts and hats are encouraged to help assist with identification of our volunteers.
Please note that Oath Keepers DID NOT reach out to the church or the pastors. They contacted us. Pastor Mark Collins (who used to pastor at the church) is assisting Pastors Pomeroy and Cornelius in dealing with this tragedy. Pastor Collins has known me (Oath Keepers Founder Stewart Rhodes) for years and has worked with us in the past. Both of us were in the documentary “Revelation: Dawn of Global Government” and we have spoken at the same patriotic gatherings around the nation for years. Pastor Collins knows us, knows our past work, and trusts us to do this right, and that is why we were contacted to help. We are honored to help in any way we can.

While providing security for the church and the families, we are working alongside the Texas Highway Patrol, Wilson County Sheriff’s Office, Baptist Child and Family Services (BCFS) (who are in overall command of the scene), BioTech and the Red Cross. This is a very important mission. Yes, we do wish that the church had had an effective armed security team in place, with an effective security plan (as we have been calling for in all churches across America), but we must now help them heal and rebuild. And we hope we can also be part of helping prevent this from happening again to this church or to others in South Texas (and nationwide). We only wish he, or someone like him, had been in the church parking lot when the killer first arrived, rather than having to run there after the attack had already started. And that is why we strongly advocate that churches have an exterior security team, armed with rifles (concealed in their vehicle as they stand next to it), as well as concealed handguns on their person, so they can decisively stop such an attack at the outset. We need volunteers to provide close protection/security for medical/rescue teams going into rural Puerto Rico communities which have not received food, water, or medical relief in the wake of hurricane Maria.
Oath Keepers launched this mission by volunteering to in the emergency medical evacuation of a critically ill child. First into Puerto Rico today will be a two man Oath Keepers security team who will help Dr. Thompson’s medical team evacuate the child. One of our team members will be Florida Oath Keepers leader Scott Dunn, who is a retired trauma nurse, veteran police and corrections officer, and a U.S. Army Ranger School graduate. Dr. Thompson asked Scott to go on this first-flight-in because of his extensive experience in the E.R. as well as his capabilities as a protector. This first five-man team will be quickly strengthened by additional Oath Keepers teams which are on their way. Dr. Thompson is arranging the private flights from the Miami/Ft. If you are a “quiet professional” with the requisite background and training, and the presence of mind and calmness under pressure to operate as a security escort for doctors, medics, and search and rescue personnel in a potentially dangerous disaster environment, please volunteer to help us.

As stated above, we are looking for “quiet professionals” who are well trained and experienced infantry, police, PSD, or security professionals. We are also needing medical personnel as well as communications experts.
Engineers and construction/contractors are also very much needed to help clear debris from roads and help build emergency shelter while we also work our primary mission of security for the doctors, nurses, medics and rescue workers of Third Wave Volunteers.
Veterans, it is time to step up and help protect our rescue and medical personnel so they can safely do their critical work.
Plan on bringing the proper gear for a security operation in austere, grid down, without rule of law conditions where you will have to sustain yourself while keeping others safe. Our mission is humanitarian disaster relief but the sad fact is that bad guys take advantage of such conditions to prey on innocent people. Therefore, let us do our duty to stand in defense of the vulnerable.

Oath Keepers is going into Puerto Rico this morning to assist Dr. Alison Thompson and her team from Third Wave Volunteers as they attempt to save a child’s life who has been manually ventilated ever since the hospital generators and back up batteries failed. They will be flying in by private chartered plane into Aguada in NW Puerto Rico, where they will evacuate the critically ill child, flying the child to a fully functioning hospital in the Continental United States.
Starting today, Oath Keepers teams will be on the ground in Puerto Rico and will be there for the coming weeks, protecting and assisting Dr. Thompson and her Third Wave Volunteers medical/rescue teams. After we complete this first mission to evacuate the child, we will then push out into remote rural areas of Puerto Rico to help people who have not received medical attention, food, or clean water since the hurricane. Oath Keepers military, police, and EMS personnel will serve as the security for Dr. Thompson’s medical/rescue teams, to keep them safe while they do what they do best – save lives. As always, we go where others won’t, which is a perfect fit for Dr. Thompson and her amazing crew, who have the same mindset. They are intent on going wherever needed in Puerto Rico to get hurricane victims the medical care they need, and to facilitate emergency evacuation of those who’s lives are in danger and are in need of advanced care. Dr. Thompson’s motto is: “ Its easy to be in the wrong place at the wrong time but its Leadership to be in the wrong place at the right time!” Amen.

Why are we going into Puerto Rico? Because it’s the right thing to do.
1. We will NOT obey orders to disarm the American people.
2. We will NOT obey orders to conduct warrantless searches of the American people .
3. We will NOT obey orders to detain American citizens as “unlawful enemy combatants” or to subject them to military tribunal.
4. We will NOT obey orders to impose martial law or a “state of emergency” on a state.
5. We will NOT obey orders to invade and subjugate any state that asserts its sovereignty.
6. We will NOT obey any order to blockade American cities, thus turning them into giant concentration camps.
7. We will NOT obey any order to force American citizens into any form of detention camps under any pretext.
8. We will NOT obey orders to assist or support the use of any foreign troops on U.S. soil against the American people to “keep the peace” or to “maintain control."
9. We will NOT obey any orders to confiscate the property of the American people, including food and other essential supplies.
10. We will NOT obey any orders which infringe on the right of the people to free speech, to peaceably assemble, and to petition their government for a redress of grievances.
All skill-sets are welcome, but we are in particular need of medical personal to add to our teams in Florida, and we expect the same need for South Carolina. We need anyone with a medical background for assessment of need as well as rendering assistance when needed. As we did in Texas, we will be coordinating our disaster relief efforts with local first responders, including law enforcement.
We need everyone from former medics, corpsmen, paramedics, EMT’s, acute care nurses, and ER techs. Basically if you can hit the ground running we can use you. Bring what ever first aid supplies you have, however please add Betadine and rubbing alcohol, as much as you can.
While on this op, we will abide by Florida state law regarding concealed carry, so if you want to carry, it is imperative that you make sure that your state concealed carry permit has reciprocity. Long guns,either shotgun or rifle are allowed, however expect to keep them secured in your vehicle unless needed in an emergency or unless we have express permission from private property owners to carry them on their property (and only if the need warrants it). Our intent is to be low-key with a low profile posture regarding weapons, while also keeping people safe.
In addition to medical personnel, we need communications experts (HAM radio operators), those with security, LEO, or applicable military experience for defense against looters (we expect to be escorting medical teams, relief supply trucks and convoys, and also protecting relief centers and aid distribution points, and backing up local first responders as we did extensively in South Texas these past few weeks. Looting, armed robbery/car and truck jacking are an unfortunate reality in the wake of hurricanes. While we are focused on disaster relief, the need for protecting against violence is a reality and is part of what we do. We also need people with search and rescue and practical mechanical/engineering skills. Fire-fighters, combat engineers, mechanics, etc. We will put you to work. Truck drivers also will be needed. And anyone else who is willing to help. We will find a job for you to do.
Uniform for this op is Oath Keepers shirts and hats with solid colored pants (khaki, or olive drab). Absolutely NO camoflauge clothing! We are here for disaster relief.
Bring sleeping gear, and appropriate hygiene gear for field bathing as well. Anti bacterial soap is important. Hygiene is a priority in this environment.

We have been working with the Mayor of Houston and his staff in coordinating our efforts. They, and the people of Houston have been welcoming and gracious.

Our volunteers are needed in the daytime to protect the many workers in the warehouse and the truckers who deliver donated goods to the warehouse. The volunteers from various organizations like the Teamsters, NACC, and church groups unload delivery semi’s, organize the supplies, and then load trucks from local organizations with the donated goods to be delivered to neighborhoods in need.

Oath Keepers have helped to set up a system of neighborhood Block Captains who pick up and deliver food, water, and other relief supplies to their neighbors. When we can, we provide security for them on the return trip. Yes, there is a problem with looting.

Experienced armed security professionals. Must be trained, safe, and competent with your weapon and equipment. And must have a solid understanding of the lawful use of force and the force continuum.
Above all, we want only cool, calm, steady men who will keep a cool head under pressure, and will interact well with many volunteers coming and going – quiet professionals. You WILL be vetted. If you have a CHL, please bring it. Please bring a copy of any training certs you have, or any other pertinent proof of training or status, if at all possible. Please make it easy for us to vett you and get you assigned to a team. If you are an Oath Keepers member, please bring your membership card if you have it.
