Dr. Taylor Haynes: Wyoming’s Gubernatorial Candidate Is A TRUE Constitutionalist

dr-haynes

If ever there was a list of gubernatorial candidates who would strictly adhere to the Constitution, the list would be small. But joining Dr. Ron Paul is Dr. Taylor Haynes, who would like to see Wyoming succeed by giving people liberty.

Dr. Taylor Haynes is intelligent and well-spoken, like Dr. Ron Paul, and seeks to limit government to its roles laid out in the Constitution.  Dr. Haynes said he would like to see the 16th amendment removed from the Constitution, but it needs to be done without using a Convention of the States.  He says this opens up the Constitution and the government would surely and immediately take away free speech and gun rights. This amendment is not a part of the Bill of Rights but was added so the federal government could disingenuously steal money from the American people.

On his website, Haynes is quoted as saying:

I am the first person running for office to promote Wyoming’s sovereignty and the absolute need to establish a “constitutional” relationship with the Federal Government. The vision I have shared with Wyoming voters for a prosperous and free Wyoming, has shown signs of coming to life. –Dr. Taylor Haynes

Not even two weeks ago, Dr. Haynes did an interview with Glenn Woods from KGAB radio in Cheyenne, in which he said:

The Constitution was weighing heavily and being lost and when I could see how the primary was going…I really wanted to keep that particular message out there. Because over the years starting in the late ’80’s pushing back on people like Bill Clinton…I could see that state sovereignty was an issue. If we were under the Constitution, we wouldn’t have some of the problems we’re facing in this very day.

Haynes admits that some of his ideas involving liberty and freedom come across as “scary” to some.  But that’s likely due to the fact that oppression and tyranny of the federal government has taken such a firm hold on many Americans, they don’t actually feel oppressed through complacency. When Haynes was asked if he was interested in raising taxes he replied:

In the interest of fiscal responsibility and balance between chaos and order, I would just hold the line. I would not raise any taxes and I’d hold the line on spending. The spending problem we have, and we have one, and the revenue problem we have, obviously, they are related. But what we’re doing…is only working with 49% of our [Wyoming state’s] mineral wealth.  We should have 100% of our mineral wealth…I’m not saying we should be ‘drunken sailors.’ I’m saying IF we were under the Constitution IF we ran the state in a fiscally responsible constitution-based manner, we wouldn’t have budget problems.

Haynes also says that we [Wyoming] don’t NEED the feds involved in education. We need to get away from, for example, math teachers teaching social engineering.  Math teachers should teach math, not “engineer” our children.

Listening to Dr. Haynes speak was a breath of fresh air. He will be one man to watch. Haynes will attempt to bring the free market, wealth, and freedom back to Wyoming, making the state what America used to be: the land of freedom and opportunity.

Home Depot Co-Founder To Democrats: ‘You Don’t Have Any Brains’

marcus

Home Depot’s co-founder Bernie Marcus took a shot at Democrats during an interview with Fox News on Saturday. Marcus attacked Democrats for their lack of understanding the basic fundamentals of economics.

But let’s be real first.  If socialists understood even a microscopic amount of economics, they wouldn’t be socialists and ridiculous things like Oregon voters literally voting themselves a tax increase (on healthcare insurance policies and hospitals, nonetheless) would never happen.  Democrats bank on emotions without any regards to facts or evidence. Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way, it’s easy to see why Marcus said Democrats “don’t have any brains.”

“Democrats, use your stupid brains. You don’t have any brains and don’t understand what happens,” Marcus said on Fox News on Saturday. “This is not going to turn overnight. Corporations are not going to open 14 buildings overnight. Come on, give me a break, you’ve got to use your brains,” he said, referring to improvements in the economy.  According to The Hill, Republicans have said the recently passed GOP tax plan is helping the middle class, pointing to bonus announcements from companies such as Home Depot.

The home improvement retailer announced last week it would be doling out $1,000 bonuses for employees who have worked at Home Depot at least 20 years. Hourly employees who have worked for the retailer less than two years can expect a $200 bonus. Workers who have been at the company for 10 years to 14 years will get $400. Meanwhile, Democrats keep arguing that tax breaks only help the wealthy and corporations.

Representative Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, a Democrat from Florida, came under fire after she downplayed the $1,000 bonuses a number of companies have announced.  “I’m not sure that $1,000 — which is taxed, taxable — goes very far for almost anyone,” she said. So what she’s saying is taxation is theft? The government is stealing part of their rightly earned bonuses? That’s what we heard…

Hopefully, the left will get it together.  They look like toddlers throwing a tantrum because they don’t understand the simplest of economic math.  How on earth did a group of elitists convince their followers that the government stealing from people is a good thing?  It just goes to show how powerful propaganda can be.

Trump Tax Plan Increases Tax on Middle Class, Gives Massive Benefit to ‘Top 1%’

plan

(ZH) Based on what we already know about the proposed Trump tax reform, which can be summarized as follows:

  • collapse the seven individual income tax rates to three (12, 25, and 35 percent),

  • increase the standard deduction,

  • eliminate personal exemptions,

  • increase the child tax credit,

  • eliminate most itemized deductions,

  • repeal the individual and corporate alternative minimum taxes,

  • repeal the estate tax,

  • reduce the corporate tax rate from 35 to 20 percent, tax pass-through business income at a top rate of 25 percent,

  • allow businesses to fully expense investment in equipment and machinery for at least five years,

  • adopt a territorial tax system that would exempt the foreign earnings of US corporations from US tax

… moments ago the Tax Policy Center released its analysis of what the practical impacts of the Trump tax plan will be on the broader population. Below we present the key findings.

The tax plan will cost $2.4 trillion over the first decade and $3.2 trillion over the second decade, on a static basis

Advertisment

  • The proposal would reduce federal revenues by $2.4 trillion over the first ten years and $3.2 in the second decade. This means that absent a matched deduction in spending, US deficit and debt will increase by a similar amount. This is a problem as a Senate GOP budget resolution unveiled on Friday only allows for adding $1.5 trillion to the debt, implying a revenue shortfall of just under $1 trillion.
    • The business income tax provisions—including those affecting corporations and pass-through businesses—would reduce revenues by $2.6 trillion over the first ten years. Elimination of estate and gift taxes would lose another $240 billion. The individual income tax provisions (excluding those related to business income) would increase revenues by about $470 billion over the same period.

While many Americans will benefit, the biggest gains will go to the 1%, whose after-tax income would increase by over 8%.

  • In 2018, the average tax bill for all income groups would decline: taxpayers in the bottom 95 percent of the income distribution would see average after-tax incomes increase between 0.5 and 1.2%. However, and where the Democrats will have a field day, taxpayers in the top 1 percent (incomes above $730,000), would receive about 50 percent of the total tax benefit; their after-tax income would increase an average of 8.5 percent.

  • Between 2018 and 2027, the average tax cut as a share of after-tax income would fall for all income groups other than the top 1 percent. In 2027, taxpayers between the 80th and 95th percentiles of income (between about $150,000 and $300,000) would experience a slight tax increase on average.

The problem is that at the same time, taxes for substantial portion of taxpayers will go up:

  • In 2018, about 12% of taxpayers would face a tax increase of roughly $1,800 on average. Where it gets worse is that many of those who form the backbone of the upper-middle class, or more than a third of taxpayers making between about $150,000 and $300,000, will pay more, mainly because most itemized deductions would be repealed.

Fast forward to 2027, when the overall average tax cut would be smaller than in 2018, increasing after-tax incomes 1.7 percent. Taxpayer groups in the bottom 80 percent of the income distribution—those making less than about $150,000—would receive average tax cuts of 0.5 percent or less of after-tax income. However, taxpayers making between about $150,000 and $300,000 would on average pay about $800 more in taxes than under current law. And the one item which Democrats will love: about 80% of the total benefit would accrue to taxpayers in the top 1 percent, whose after-tax income would increase 8.7 percent.

It gets worse: by 2027, taxes would rise for roughly one-quarter of taxpayers, including nearly 30 percent of those with incomes between about $50,000 and $150,000 and 60 percent of those making between about $150,000 and $300,000.

According to the Tax Policy Center, the number of taxpayers with a tax increase rises over time. This is because the plan would replace personal exemptions, which are indexed for inflation, with additional credits for children and non-child dependents that are not indexed for inflation. In addition, indexing tax brackets and other parameters to the slower-growing chained Consumer Price Index means that over time more income is subject to tax at higher rates.

Finally, there is of course, the repeal of the state and local tax deduction, a move which is expected to be widely hated by homeowners across the US, but as the chart below shows, by democrat states far more than republican states.

As BofA writes, blue states with high state and local taxes will be the most adversely impacted from the loss of this deduction. Thus, opposition in the Senate will mainly come from Democrats, while Republicans will mostly be on the same page. But, the situation should be more contentious in the House. Data from the Tax Policy Center reveals that 26 of the top 50 districts in terms of SALT deduction usage had a Republican representative. Republicans will likely face more internal pushback from these members. Ultimately, a House bill would fail if two dozen Republicans (and every Democrat) were opposed.

Americans Now Spend More on Taxes Than Food and Clothing—Combined

taxes

A troubling new report released this week by the Bureau of Labor Statistics shows that Americans spent more on taxes last year than they did on food and clothing—combined. As the report shows, this problem shows no signs of slowing as the average American’s rate of taxation is increasing at a staggering rate.

As CNS News reports, in 2016, according to BLS, “consumer units” (which include families, financially independent individuals, and people living in a single household who share expenses) spent more on average on federal, state and local taxes ($10,489) than they did on food ($7,203) and clothing ($1,803) combined ($9,006).

Instead of realizing they are taxing Americans, quite literally out of their clothes, the state has been increasing the rate every year.

The average tax bill for American “consumer units” increased from $7,423 in 2013 to $10,489 in 2016, according to data released this week by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

That is an increase of 41.13 percent—in only three years.

According to CNS:

The survey publishes the itemized expenditures of what it refers to as “consumer units,” which include “all members of a particular household who are related by blood, marriage, adoption, or other legal arrangements,” or “a person living alone or sharing a household with others or living as a roomer in a private home or lodging house or in a permanent living quarters in a hotel or motel, but who is financially independent,” or “two or more persons living together who use their income to make joint expenditure decisions.” The BLS said that a consumer unit generally refers to a family.

Below is the data from the BLS report, notice the increase over the last 3 years.

taxation

In the land of the free, if you wish to remain relatively free, you must give the state a percentage of your income. If you do not give the state this income, they will continue to escalate pressure and eventually move to force. You will be subject to kidnapping, caging, or worse. This legalized extortion is sold to the American public as taxation.

Taxes, we are told, allow the government the ability to provide services for the citizens. Roads, schools, parks, etc., we are told, would not exist without all Americans being forced to hand over a portion of their wages they earn through their labor.

If you complain about taxation, the average American will answer back with the programmed response, somewhere along the lines of, “if you don’t like it, you can move to Somalia.” Sadly, however, this response does nothing to address the ever-increasing burden placed on the American people through taxation.

Most defenders of the state assume that government services provided through taxation help the poor too. And, sometimes, some poor people do benefit financially from government programs. But there’s a hidden cost: taxation and mandatory programs (Social Security, for instance) that hurt the needy by restricting their choices. Government taxes away income that low-income households could invest in improving their lives. At the same time, state-sponsored benefits create incentives that keep the poor trapped in poverty.

This never ending cycle of taxation and earning is compounded every year as rates increase and, as seen above, the government’s own data shows this.

While it is easy to sit back and thank the almighty state for roads and schools—which are in horrible condition—many Americans are entirely unaware of where most of their tax dollars actually end up.

For example, as of last year, in Afghanistan only, the number of failed projects, meaning only the ones that were unsuccessful, cost taxpayers over 100 billion. To put this number in perspective, the entire amount of money the United States allocates to spend on rebuilding America’s crumbling highways every year is less than half of that.

But what about education. Compared to what America spends on maintaining the hundreds of military bases throughout the world, dropping bombs in Afghanistan, Yemen, Iraq, Syria, etc., education spending is a drop in the bucket.

Courtesy of ATTN:

The near $600 billion dollar bill Americans are hit with every year to keep the empire great is only the publicly admitted amount. As TFTP has reported in the past, the Pentagon often “loses” trillions of dollars in war spending.

It is also estimated that America has spent over $1 trillion in tax dollars kidnapping, caging, and killing people for possessing arbitrary substances deemed illegal by the state. Through the war on drugs, the government has squandered a trillion dollars of your tax dollars and the only thing we have to show for it is an opioid epidemic and the world’s largest prison population.

As Americans continue to be raked across the coals to fund the empire and the police state, it is also important to note that the tax rate increases every year because these tax addicts are spending way more money than they can possibly steal from the citizens.

In fact, a massive chunk of your tax dollars (hundreds of billions of dollars) goes to paying interest on the exponentially increasing national debt held by the Federal Reserve.

Once we take all these factors into consideration, it doesn’t take a genius to figure out that total government bankruptcy is a mathematical certainty—even if they took 100% of what you make.

As the years go by, the tax rate continues its upward trend, and America begins paying more in taxes than they make, remember that only a portion of this money goes to actual things that benefit you directly. In fact, as stated above, in the land of the free, your tax dollars are used more to decrease your freedom than anything else.

The greatest threat facing America today
is the disastrous fiscal policies of our own government,
marked by shameless deficit spending and
Federal Reserve currency devaluation.
It is this one-two punch –
Congress spending more than it can tax or borrow,
and the Fed printing money to make up the difference –
that threatens to impoverish us by further
destroying the value of our dollars.

Tax Collectors In Florida Openly Carry Guns, While Public Is Banned From Doing So

By Mac Slavo

Tax collectors in Florida are now publicly announcing the values of being armed when demanding money from citizens. The only problem is that the state bans open carry for civilians that the tax collectors are stealing money from.

If you’re leery about government intervention in your life, and you know that taxation is theft, this article will probably strike a nerve. However, on the other hand, if you revile and worship the government which steals from you and creates edicts you must follow under threats of violence using your stolen money, you’ll love what they are doing down in the Sunshine State.

“A Central Florida tax collector says a new policy will allow his employees to openly carry firearms while they work,” The Associated Press reports. “Seminole County Tax Collector Joel Greenberg told the Orlando Sentinel that according to Florida law, he and his employees are considered ‘revenue officers’ and are exempt from the state’s ban on the open carrying of firearms while performing their duties.”

Ready for the glaring hypocrisy?

The rationale behind the move is to save taxpayers money by eliminating the need to hire private security.

The “Taxation Is Theft” Meme Has Officially Gone Mainstream

Op-Ed by Alice Salles

The month of April is a nightmare for anyone with a conscience, as we only have until “tax day” — which usually falls on April 15 — to give the taxman what he says he deserves. So if you pay taxes to Uncle Sam and you’re also aware you’re paying for mass murder in the Middle East and in U.S. streets due to the drug war, you should also feel sick to your stomach as you write that check.

To a restaurant customer, this may have served as enough incentive to remind his server that taxation is always immoral — but he didn’t stop there.

Last week, a customer at a Missouri restaurant gave the waitress a “personal gift” instead of a tip, writing the now popular line “Taxation is theft” in the tip section of the receipt.

In a second note, the fiscally conscious customer added:

This is not a tip. This is a personal gift and not subject to federal or state income taxes.

With major progressive news outlets like ATTN: reporting on this story, left-leaning reporters started to debate wages in the food and service industries, discussing the fact that tips end up being factored as wages, meaning they are always taxable.

But as that discussion developed, reporters were quick to realize that when personal gifts are in the mix, the taxman can’t take part of those earnings away. After all, a gift would have to exceed $13,000 to be subject to taxation, meaning that even if the customer had spent hundreds, the “personal gift” would not amount to anything close to the requirements stipulated by the IRS.

With that, ladies and gentlemen, it becomes easier to not only tip with class, but also with substance, giving your waiter a lesson on what’s moral and how to legally go around the rules to make sure they enjoy their full tip — not just the percentage deemed to be fit by the federal government.

As this story becomes part of the popular movement ignited by libertarians, expect to see more progressive news outlets becoming familiarized with the actual concept of taxation. What’s left for us to find out is if they are going to change their tune and start attacking people like this customer when the two-party pendulum swings once again and a fully Democratic slate takes over Washington.

Are they going to remain consistent in discussing taxation from the point of view of the worker, or are they going to side with the leech?

Only time will tell.
