Watch John Podesta Try to Explain How the Russians Outsmarted Hillary
Sunday, November 12, 2017
Podesta Group "Will Not Exist At The End Of The Year"
While all eyes (from the left and the establishment right) remain on Trump (daring to shake Putin"s hand this weekend), the mainstream media appears to be missing the news that the lobbying firm founded by longtime Democratic operative Tony Podesta is reportedly on the verge of shuttering after being swept up in special counsel Robert Mueller"s Russia probe.
Just three weeks after we reported that special counsel Mueller was targeting lobbying firm Podesta Group. and just two weeks after Tony Podesta resigned from his position at the firm he founded, The Hill reports that Kimberley Fritts, the Podesta Group"s chief executive, told employees on Thursday that the firm would not exist at the end of the year and that they would likely not be paid through the end of November, sources told CNN.
Fritts announced her resignation from the top Washington lobbying group after Podesta left the company amid ties to indictments filed in the Russia investigation. Fritts is beginning work on launching a new firm. Her last day at the company Friday created new uncertainty for the Podesta Group after the departure of Podesta on Oct. 30.
Multiple employees who spoke to The Hill said the mood at the firm was mostly optimistic, though they said many of the firm"s dozens of employees could be in limbo as Fritts sets up the new firm and brings Podesta Group talent and clients with her.
As a reminder, Mueller is now investigating whether the Podesta Group properly identified to U.S. authorities its foreign work on behalf of a Ukrainian advocacy group in Europe, CNN reported.
An NBC report found that the Podesta Group was one of several firms working on Paul Manafort"s public relations campaign for European Centre for a Modern Ukraine, which the Podesta Group claims it thought was a nonpartisan think tank, something which this site reported first last August.
And here is one reason why we suspect more than a few on the left are now concerned...
It goes without saying, that Podesta"s brother, John, is arguably one of the top figure in Democratic politics, serving most recently as chief of staff in the Bill Clinton White House and also as the chairman of Hillary Clinton"s 2016 presidential campaign.
What happens next to Tony (and perhaps his brother John) is to be determined, but one thing is clear: both sides of the swamp should probably control themselves in any premature celebrations as this appears to be far from over.

Twitter Admits It Censored Tweets About the #DNCLeak Ahead of 2016 Election
(ZHE) — It was approximately one year ago, when angry tweeters alleged that Jack Dorsey et al., were purposefully censoring and “suppressing” certain content on Twitter, namely anything to do with the leaked DNC and John Podesta emails, as well as hashtags critical of Hillary Clinton while “shadow-banning” pro-Donald Trump content. We can now confirm that at least one part of the above was true, because during Tuesday’s Senate hearing, Twitter admitted it “buried”, which is another word for censored, significant portions of tweets related to hacked emails from the Democratic National Committee and Clinton campaign chair John Podesta in the months heading into the 2016 presidential campaign.
Twitter’s systems hid 48 percent of tweets using the #DNCLeak hashtag and 25 percent of tweets using #PodestaEmails, Twitter general counsel Sean Edgett said in his written testimony to the Senate Judiciary Committee on Tuesday.
Before the election, we also detected and took action on activity relating to hashtags that have since been reported as manifestations of efforts to interfere with the 2016 election. For example, our automated spam detection systems helped mitigate the impact of automated Tweets promoting the #PodestaEmails hashtag, which originated with WikiLeaks’ publication of thousands of emails from the Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta’s Gmail account.
The core of the hashtag was propagated by Wikileaks, whose account sent out a series of 118 original Tweets containing variants on the hashtag #PodestaEmails referencing the daily installments of the emails released on the Wikileaks website. In the two months preceding the election, around 57,000 users posted approximately 426,000 unique Tweets containing variations of the #PodestaEmails hashtag.
Approximately one quarter (25%) of those Tweets received internal tags from our automation detection systems that hid them from searches.
As described in greater detail below, our systems detected and hid just under half (48%) of the Tweets relating to variants of another notable hashtag, #DNCLeak, which concerned the disclosure of leaked emails from the Democratic National Committee.
And yet, this glaring act of censorship was not aimed at the sources of the alleged propaganda, but the content: Just 2% of the tweets using the #DNCLeak hashtag came from “potentially Russian-linked accounts,” Edgett said.
He also explained that Twitter hid the tweets as “part of our general efforts at the time to fight automation and spam on our platform across all areas.”
…And Hillary still lost?
Just over a year ago, on the same day that Donald Trump’s “grab them by the pussy tape” was released, WikiLeaks dumped over 30,000 hacked Podesta emails, which were damaging to Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, throughout the election. A prior Wikileak of DNC emails, which revealed party officials secretly aided Hillary Clinton during her primary battle against Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders , eventually cost then-DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Shultz her job. The leaks also exposed supposedly “neutral” journalists as pro-Clinton partisans.
The U.S. intelligence community concluded that Russian operatives were behind the original hacking of both the DNC and Podesta emails, which were part of Russian influence operations meant to disrupt the American electoral system.
* * *
A question emerges: did Jack Dorsey, with his arbitrary decision to censor specific content damaging to Democrats, interfere with the election, and a funnier question: if Hillary lost with Twitter censoring anti-Hillary content, what would the outcome have been if Twitter actually respected the First Amendment?

Tony Podesta Threatens Tucker Carlson After Bombshell Report On Russian Influence Peddling
Submitted by iBankCoin
Tony Podesta sent a Cease and Decist letter to “Tucker Carlson Tonight” hours after resigning from his role at the Podesta Group – a D.C. lobbying firm accused by a former executive of pedaling Russian influence along with fellow lobbyist and short-lived Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort.
Tony Podesta threatened "Tucker Carlson Tonight" after resigning. Wanted our reporting shutdown. #Tucker @FoxNews

Manfort was indicted over the weekend on 12 counts ranging from tax fraud, money laundering and giving false statements between 2006 and 2015, and is currently under house arrest after turning himself over to the FBI Monday morning – fueling speculation as to whether Tony Podesta’s sudden departure from his firm is connected.
Of note, Monday"s indictment lists "Company A" and "Company B" as firms involved in the investigation - which NBC reports are the Podesta Group and DC public relations firm Mercury Public Affairs.
Last week Carlson reported that Tony Podesta is a central figure in Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation. Directly after his report, Carlson’s show was contacted by a former long-time executive of the Podesta Group with “direct personal knowledge” of Tony Podesta’s questionable activities, which Carlson divulged the next evening.
While the nature of Podesta’s threat has not been made public, Carlson later tweeted “We’re confident the Mueller probe will reveal a lot more about Tony Podesta’s lobbying practices in the near future.”
To review:
After meeting with the former Podesta Group executive who has been “extensively” interviewed by Robert Mueller’s Special Counsel, Tucker Carlson Tonight relayed several highly troubling aspects of the Tony Podesta’s relationship with business associate and fellow lobbyist, Paul Manafort.
According to the former Podesta Group executive, Manafort and Tony Podesta were running a Russian influence-peddling racket up and down Washington D.C., bringing a “parade” of Russian oligarchs to congress for meetings. Podesta was also “Basically part of the Clinton Foundation,” meeting regularly to discuss the now-infamous Uranium One deal.
Highlights, as previously reported (video below):
- Lobbyist and temporary Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort is at the center of the Russia probe – however the scope of the investigation has broadened to include his activities prior to the 2016 election.
- Manafort worked with the Podesta Group since at least 2011 on behalf of Russian interests, and was at the Podesta Group offices “all the time, at least once a month,” peddling Russian influence through a shell group called the European Centre for a Modern Ukraine (ECMU).
- Manafort brought a “parade” of Russian oligarchs to congress for meetings with members and their staffs, however, the Russia’s “central effort” was the Obama Administration.
- In 2013, John Podesta recommended that Tony hire David Adams, Hillary Clinton’s chief adviser at the State Department, giving them a “direct liaison” between the group’s Russian clients and Hillary Clinton’s State Department.
- In late 2013 or early 2014, Tony Podesta and a representative for the Clinton Foundation met to discuss how to help Uranium One – the Russian owned company that controls 20 percent of American Uranium Production – and whose board members gave over $100 million to the Clinton Foundation.
- “Tony Podesta was basically part of the Clinton Foundation.”
- Believing she would win the 2016 election, Russia considered the Podesta Group’s connection to Hillary highly valuable.
- Podesta Group is a nebulous organization with no board oversight and all financial decisions made by Tony Podesta. Carlson’s source said payments and kickbacks could be hard for investigators to trace, describing it as a “highly secret treasure trove.” One employee’s only official job was to manage Tony Podesta’s art collection, which could be used to conceal financial transactions.

Trump Calls On Podesta Bros To “Drain The Swamp” By Revealing “Earth Shattering” Dirt On Dems
This article was originally published by Tyler Durden at Zero Hedge
As the mainstream media circus ran wild with the Paul Manafort indictment yesterday, Trump, who repeatedly dismissed the charges as being unrelated to his campaign, has just tweeted that the biggest story revealed yesterday, a story which was largely ignored by the “fake news”, was Tony Posesta’s sudden resignation from the powerful lobbying group that bears his name.
Meanwhile, Trump also seemingly called on the Podesta brothers to “Drain the Swamp” by dishing whatever “earth shattering” dirt they have on Democrats to Special Counsel Mueller.
“The biggest story yesterday, the one that has the Dems in a dither, is Podesta running from his firm. What he know about Crooked Dems is earth shattering. He and his brother could Drain The Swamp, which would be yet another campaign promise fulfilled. Fake News weak!”

….earth shattering. He and his brother could Drain The Swamp, which would be yet another campaign promise fulfilled. Fake News weak!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) October 31, 2017
Of course, as we noted yesterday, the founder of the Podesta Group, Tony Podesta, stepped down from his own lobbying shop after coming under investigation by Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller.
Meanwhile, even though the Podesta / Manafort news might seem unrelated, as we explained in Aug 2016, Paul Manafort – now under indictment on 12 charges – and his deputy Rick Gates previously worked with the Podesta Group where they lobbied various U.S. senators and congressmen on behalf of various Ukranian officials.
…emails obtained by the Associated Press showed that Gates personally directed two Washington lobbying firms, Mercury LLC and the Podesta Group, between 2012 and 2014 to set up meetings between a top Ukrainian official and senators and congressmen on influential committees involving Ukrainian interests. Gates noted in the emails that the official, Ukraine’s foreign minister, did not want to use his own embassy in the United States to help coordinate the visits.
…
And this is where the plot thickens, because while the bulk of the press has so far spun the entire Ukraine lobbying scandal, which led to Manafort’s resignation, as the latest “proof” that pro-Moscow powers were influencing not only Manafort but the Trump campaign in general (who some democrats have even painted of being a Putin agent), the reality is that a firm closely tied with the Democratic party, the Podesta Group, is just as implicated.
As AP further adds, the European Center for a Modern Ukraine, a Brussels-linked nonprofit entity which allegedly ran the lobbying project, paid Mercury and the Podesta Group a combined $2.2 million over roughly two years. In papers filed in the U.S. Senate, Mercury and the Podesta Group listed the European nonprofit as an independent, nonpolitical client. The firms said the center stated in writing that it was not aligned with any foreign political entity.
Perhaps Podesta knows what is likely to happen next. Podesta announced his decision during a firm-wide meeting Monday morning and is alerting clients of his impending departure.
“[Tony] was very magnanimous and said, “This is an amazing group of people,” a source said of Podesta’s remarks.
Podesta also told staff he “doesn’t intend to go quietly, or learn how to play golf.” He said he “needs to fight this as an individual, but doesn’t want the firm to fight it.”
Fritts also addressed the gathering, telling staff that she is “thrilled at this opportunity” and that, “This is not about me, this is about y’all.”
Several other senior staff spoke about their excitement about the future of the firm. The meeting ended with a standing ovation for Podesta.
It emerged last week that Podesta is the subject of a criminal investigation led by Mueller’s team for potentially violating a federal disclosure law. That law, known as the Foreign Agents Registration Act, pertains to working on behalf of foreign governments. An NBC report found that the Podesta Group was one of several firms working on Paul Manafort’s public relations campaign for European Centre for a Modern Ukraine, which the Podesta Group claims it thought was a nonpartisan think tank, something which this site reported first last August.
It goes without saying, that Podesta’s brother, John, is arguably one of the top figures in Democratic politics, serving most recently as chief of staff in the Bill Clinton White House and also as the chairman of Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign.
What happens next to Tony (and perhaps his brother John) is to be determined, but one thing is clear: both sides of the swamp should probably control themselves in any premature celebrations as this appears to be far from over….

5 Things You’re Missing While the Media Obsesses Over Paul Manafort
(ANTIMEDIA) — Though according to a recent poll a majority of the American public believes the Russia investigations are hurting the country, another media feeding frenzy began over the weekend when it was revealed that an indictment would be issued Monday. Sure enough, on Monday, Paul Manafort and Rick Gates were charged with a slew of different offenses, and corporate media heads have been spinning.
Considering the FBI is corrupt, the Trump administration is corrupt, and the whole of the federal government has failed to contain this corruption, the Russia story amounts to more of the same distractions. Here are five other relevant developments the media is failing to adequately cover:
1) Congress moves forward with Trump’s military-industrial appointments to the Pentagon:
At this point, it is well-known that Trump has done little to drain the swamp, instead filling it with a variety of special interests. This week, Congress will move to approve more swamp appointments, including Mark Esper, a Raytheon lobbyist, for Army Secretary, John Rood, a senior executive at Lockheed Martin, for undersecretary of defense policy, Joseph Kernan, who works as senior vice president of corporate development for SAP National Security Services, which spent over $2 million on lobbying in 2017 and has also been awarded multi-million dollar contracts from the Department of Defense in recent years. Another appointee, Robert Wilkie, made a name for himself during the Bush administration while working as an attorney for the Pentagon, where he drafted guidelines to broadly restrict testimony to congressional committees. Trump has chosen him to for the position of undersecretary of defense for personnel and readiness.
2) Your Halloween candy is probably made by child laborers subject to “slave-like” conditions:
For years, candy giants Nestle, Mars, and Hershey have relied on the labor of children in West Africa to source their cocoa beans. Victims have filed lawsuits in the heavily documented abuse, but despite pledges from the candy companies to reduce their reliance on the harsh practices, the number of child laborers had actually increased by 2014, according to a report from Tulane University. Americans will spend roughly $2.7 billion on candy this year, yet few are aware much of it was produced under brutal conditions.
3) Tony Podesta resigns from lobbying firm amid Mueller investigation:
Though Manafort is dominating the headlines, Tony Podesta, brother of Clinton campaign manager John Podesta, stepped down from his own firm. Politico reported that that the “investigation into Podesta and his firm grew out of investigators’ examination of Manafort’s finances. Manafort organized a PR campaign on behalf of a nonprofit called the European Centre for a Modern Ukraine. Podesta Group was one of several firms that were paid to do work on the PR campaign to promote Ukraine in the U.S.” In April, the Podesta Group filed paperwork with the Department of Justice admitting it had worked for the European Centre for a Modern Ukraine that “had also benefitted the same Ukrainian political party that Manafort had once advised,” Politico noted.
4) Once again, authorities find Iran is complying with nuclear deal:
Despite President Trump’s saber-rattling against Iran and his threats to pull the United States out of the Obama-era nuclear agreement, his own administration has acknowledged the Iranian government is adhering to the terms. This week, the U.N.’s International Atomic Energy Agency also verified the Middle Eastern nation’s compliance. Iran has indicated its intent to honor the deal and the other participating governments — Britain, Germany, France, Russia, China, and the E.U. — continue to support it despite Trump’s ongoing condemnations.
5) Sexual harassment allegations continue to surface across industries:
Since the Harvey Weinstein story broke earlier this month, a wave of assault allegations have surfaced, and not just in Hollywood. On Monday, Democratic candidate for Miami-Dade city commission Rafael Velasquez lost support from his party over two separate allegations of harassment, including exposing himself to one woman and groping another. Also this week, 500 female members of the art community, including writers, artists, curators, and directors, issued a letter condemning sexual harassment in response to the resignation of ArtForum magazine publisher Knight Landesman. The women said in the letter that they “have been groped, undermined, harassed, infantilized, scorned, threatened, and intimidated by those in positions of power who control access to resources and opportunities,” adding that they “have held our tongues, threatened by power wielded over us and promises of institutional access and career advancement.” A fresh batch of sexual harassment allegations against Harvey Weinstein also surfaced this week, detailing incidents all the way back to the 1970s.
Though the media will almost certainly continue to focus on the Russia scandal, far more important developments will certainly continue to unfold.
Tony Podesta Resigns From Lobbying Group Amid Mueller Probe
As the left and the media ramp up their Manafort-ian mania against Trump, it appears the trail of destruction from special counsel Mueller"s probe has spread to Democratic power-lobbyist Tony Podesta.
As we explained in Aug 2016, Paul Manafort - now under indictment on 12 charges - and his deputy Rick gates previously worked with the Podesta Group, run by Tony Podesta, the brother of Hillary Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta.
...emails obtained by the Associated Press showed that Gates personally directed two Washington lobbying firms, Mercury LLC and the Podesta Group, between 2012 and 2014 to set up meetings between a top Ukrainian official and senators and congressmen on influential committees involving Ukrainian interests. Gates noted in the emails that the official, Ukraine"s foreign minister, did not want to use his own embassy in the United States to help coordinate the visits.
...
And this is where the plot thickens, because while the bulk of the press has so far spun the entire Ukraine lobbying scandal, which led to Manafort"s resignation, as the latest "proof" that pro-Moscow powers were influencing not only Manafort but the Trump campaign in general (who some democrats have even painted of being a Putin agent), the reality is that a firm closely tied with the Democratic party, the Podesta Group, is just as implicated.
As AP further adds, the European Center for a Modern Ukraine, a Brussels-linked nonprofit entity which allegely ran the lobbying project, paid Mercury and the Podesta Group a combined $2.2 million over roughly two years. In papers filed in the U.S. Senate, Mercury and the Podesta Group listed the European nonprofit as an independent, nonpolitical client. The firms said the center stated in writing that it was not aligned with any foreign political entity.
And now, just hours after Manafort and Gates handed themselves over to the feds, Politico reports, the founder of the Podesta Group, is stepping down from the lobbying shop that bears his name after coming under investigation by Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller.

One thing is clear, both sides of the swamp should probably control themselves in any premature celebrations as this appears to be far from over.
Here"s one reason why we suspect more than a few on the left are now concerned...

Assange Reminds The World That Facebook Did Collude In 2016, But With Hillary
As Congress and the U.S. news media continue to lose their collective minds over what appears to be a meaningless amount of advertising dollars purchased on Facebook by "potentially Russian linked" accounts, Julian Assange offered up a helpful reminder that if Silicon Valley"s tech billionaires colluded with anyone in the months leading up to the 2016 election it was Hillary Clinton, who they all "wanted to win badly."
Podesta emails reveal that Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg wanted Hillary Clinton to win "badly", provided research to her in March 2015 and met privately with her on multiple occasions. https://t.co/SxNQ4etdPD pic.twitter.com/dqyRG2zuln
— Julian Assange ???? (@JulianAssange) September 28, 2017
For evidence that Facebook was "in the tank" for Hillary from the start, one has to look no further than the following email from Facebook"s Chief Operating Officer, Sheryl Sandberg, who told John Podesta in June 2015 that she wanted Hillary to "win badly" and was "here to help as I can."
Can you imagine the "outrage" that Senator Warner would feel if such an email were sent to someone on Trump"s campaign?
Or what about if Paul Manafort were invited to Facebook headquarters to meet Mark Zuckerberg to discuss "how to move the needle on the specific public policy issues he cares most about." Oh wait, that did happen except it wasn"t Trump"s campaign head that was invited, it was John Podesta.
And wouldn"t you know it, just a few days later Mark Zuckerberg did meet with John Podesta...but we"re sure they only discussed the ins and outs of setting up a 501(c)(3).
Of course, the "collusion" between the Hillary team and Facebook goes on and on...here is John Podesta in January 2016 expressing how much he looks forward to working with Facebook to "elect the first woman President of the United States."
Meanwhile, as we noted back in November 2016, Google"s Chairman, Eric Schmidt, didn"t even pretend to be impartial and actually submitted a thorough "strategic plan" designed to help Hillary win the election.
Among the latest set of Podesta releases, was the following email sent on April 15, 2014 by Google"s Eric Schmidt titled "Notes for a 2016 Democratic Campaign" in which the Google/Alphabet Chairman tells Cheryl Mills that "I have put together my thoughts on the campaign ideas and I have scheduled some meetings in the next few weeks for veterans of the campaign to tell me how to make these ideas better. This is simply a draft but do let me know if this is a helpful process for you all."
Google head Eric Schmidt"s secret strategic plan for the US election #PodestaEmails https://t.co/LskJODXyXn
More: https://t.co/ZUfh7WDAT5 pic.twitter.com/llq5G9kp5V
— WikiLeaks (@wikileaks) October 31, 2016
While there are numerous curious nuances in the plan, presented below in its entirety, the one section that caught our - and Wikileaks" attention - is the following which implicitly suggests Google planned the creation of a voter tracking database, using smart phones:
Key is the development of a single record for a voter that aggregates all that is known about them. In 2016 smart phones will be used to identify, meet, and update profiles on the voter. A dynamic volunteer can easily speak with a voter and, with their email or other digital handle, get the voter videos and other answers to areas they care about (“the benefits of ACA to you” etc.)
All that said, we do very much hope that Senator Warner is able to quickly get to the bottom of exactly who bought those $50,000 worth of Facebook ads...because that"s what is really important here.

The Many Disturbing Sex Scandals Of The Democratic Party
Right now, a major cover-up is going on in the media and among leftists all over the country. Many Democrats are involved in separate and equally disturbing sex scandals, but they are all being swept under the rug.
According to the Daily Wire, the Democratic Mayor of Seattle, Ed Murray, resigned Tuesday after more allegations of child sexual abuse surfaced. Murray’s resignation, which was effective 5 p.m. on Wednesday, comes after the fifth allegation of child sexual abuse surfaced on Tuesday. This time, the accusations came from a family member. But Murray isn’t the only Democrat neck deep in scandals of this magnitude, in what is becoming a disturbing pattern of Democrats politicians involved in crimes and allegations of child sexual abuse. These scandals are horrifying and largely ignored by the mainstream media.
Several major Democrats are facing charges or received convictions regarding sexual crimes related to children over the past year. Perhaps the most well-known example is that of Anthony Weiner, soon to be ex-husband to Hillary Clinton’s top aide Huma Abedin. Weiner, the disgusting and disgraced Democrat has a long history of sexual misconduct which most recently landed him in legal trouble when he became involved in an online sexual relationship with a 15-year-old girl. Weiner pleaded guilty to transferring obscene material to a minor and faces up to ten years in prison. He also must now register as a sex offender.
The Daily Wire also compiled a list of Democrats that the website backpage.com has donated to. The website is allegedly directly linked to child prostitution and trafficking and the co-owners gave a lot of money to Democrats recently, including donations to:
If that isn’t enough to make this horiffingly cringe-worthy already, Sen. Robert Menendez (D-NJ) is currently on trial facing federal corruption charges, which started in 2012 over allegations that he and another man were having sex with underage prostitutes. But not to be outdone, Jacob Schwartz, a 29-year-old up-and-coming young Democrat who worked on New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio’s staff was arrested in May. Schwartz is accused of child pornography charges in which he allegedly kept more than 3,000 images and 89 videos of pornographic acts committed by children.
Most have heard of convicted sex offender and longtime friend of former Democratic President Bill Clinton, pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. The perverted man was accused in January in a federal lawsuit of luring a woman into “his elaborate sex trafficking enterprise,” the Daily Mail reported. “The lawsuit alleges that Epstein had a compulsive sexual preference for little girls as young as 13-years-old.” And Bill Clinton hasn’t exactly been known for his fidelity to Democrat and wife, Hillary Clinton, who’s campaign chairman John Podesta was front and center of the “PizzaGate” pedophilia scandal the media desperately tried to label as “fake news.”
And last week, a Democrat Councilman in Connecticut, Scott Chamberlain, was forced to step down after photographs of him allegedly emerged on a private website for “furries,” a weird subculture of people who dress up in furry costumes of odd looking animals for sexual gratification.
It seems a little more than convenient that the media is willing to look the other way when Democrats are caught doing disgusting things.

Podesta Group subpoenaed in Russia probe
Editor’s note: It appears that things are starting to take place behind the scenes that are not so favorable for former members of the Clinton campaign as Ryan Saavedra points out in his piece for the Daily Caller:
Special Counsel Robert Mueller issued subpoenas seeking testimony from executives who worked on a campaign organized by Paul Manafort – including the Podesta Group — an NBC exclusive report published Friday revealed.
The Podesta Group, co-founded by John Podesta, who was chairman of Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign, was one of six lobbying firms that worked on Manafort’s campaign to get Ukraine into the European Union between 2012 to 2014 – a fact buried in the ninth paragraph of NBC’s report.
An executive, whose firm received a subpoena, said Mueller’s team is particularly interested in taking a close look at the lobbying campaign that included the Podesta Group.

That awkward moment when John Podesta, alleged ‘ringleader’, tweets you back over #Pizzagate
Center For American Progress/Flickr (INTELLIHUB) — As you all probably already know, I have covered the Pizzagate conspiracy quite extensively since last December here at Intellihub.
However, little did I know that former Clinton campaign chairman and alleged ‘Pizzagate ringleader’ John Podesta would tweet me back about “#Pizzagate” after he got off the air with CNN on Wednesday.
It all started when I commented to the former campaign chair on Twitter, herein the following tweet which read: “My take on Trump family values.”
I know @CNN thinks I am an authority.
— John Podesta (@john_podesta) August 2, 2017
I responded to Podesta: “What do you know about values? #Pizzagate”
Podesta soon after hit me back, tweeting: “I know @CNN thinks I am an authority.”
And there you have it.

DNC Servers Were Locally Hacked, Making Russian Interference Unlikely
The “Russiagate” scandal has dominated headlines and airwaves for months now, with politicians and analysts lining up to pin last year’s election meddling on Russian spies. But an independent investigator’s new analysis lays the blame at the feet of a hacker closer to home.
(MPN) — In the latest complication for the “Russiagate” scandal, a new analysis has suggested that files and email stolen from the Democratic National Committee (DNC) were copied to a USB drive by someone with physical access to a computer that had DNC server access, indicating that the committee’s records were not hacked remotely by foreign actors, as has been alleged.
The DNC’s stolen files were published by the hacker “Guccifer 2.0,” whose name is an homage to the Romanian hacker Guccifer, who gained notoriety for hacking the Bush and Rockefeller families among other U.S. government officials.
Guccifer 2.0, despite professing that he is a Romanian and affiliated with no government, was cited as an agent of Russian military intelligence by the private cyber security firm Crowdstrike, which was hired by the DNC to investigate the hack.
However, an independent investigator working under the pseudonym “The Forensicator” has released a new analysis of the metadata found in the files published by Guccifer 2.0.
The analysis shows that the files, published as a .7z archive file, were transferred from the server at a speed of 23 MB/second, leading the investigator to conclude that it was “unlikely that this initial data transfer could have been done remotely over the Internet.”
The investigator also found that the copying of the files from the DNC servers took place either over a local high-speed network (LAN) or by someone who had physical access to the computer where the data was stored.
More Proof Russia Did NOT Hack DNC: Files "Copied Locally" https://t.co/ub7OGzVASp
— Freeman"s Watch (@FreemansWatch) July 12, 2017
In addition, The Forensicator analyzed the timestamps of the files, which were preserved from the date of the initial transfer. The timestamps from the documents were recorded in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), but – when adjusted to Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) – they fell “into the same range as the last modified times for the directories archived in the .rar files.” Thus, it was concluded that the copying of the files took place on a computer system where EDT was in use, meaning that the said system was likely located on the eastern coast of the U.S.
In light of these findings, the party responsible for the initial hack was likely located within the U.S. at the time, suggesting that the hack was carried out by a disgruntled DNC insider or by someone located in the U.S. who may have been working with Guccifer 2.0, who was responsible for gaining access to the DNC server. This makes it unlikely that Russian military intelligence remotely hacked the DNC servers from abroad.
This may explain why the DNC has repeatedly refused to hand over the hacked servers to the government for examination, as only Crowdstrike has been given access. Even the recent Congressional probes into alleged Russian interference in the 2016 election have been denied access to the servers.
Why did DNC deny FBI access to DNC email server? Why did FBI allow denial? https://t.co/n5NlQtnmiX – @washtimes #MAGA @POTUS #TrumpTrain
— Lou Dobbs (@LouDobbs) July 6, 2017
Given that the DNC hack has been central to the Russian hacker narrative, it is certainly unusual that this key piece of evidence is being withheld from investigators. This new analysis makes it highly likely that there is evidence on the servers that would also show that remote hacking of the servers was improbable.
But even before The Forensicator’s analysis was released, there was plenty of reason to doubt the DNC’s narrative regarding the hack, particularly regarding whether Russia was the culpable party.
For example, the evidence Crowdstrike cited as proving that the hack was conducted by Russian military intelligence is largely speculative. The firm claimed that the techniques used in the hack were similar to those used in past hacking operations that have been attributed to Russian state actors and the profile of those targeted by said hacks “closely mirrors the strategic interests of the Russian government.”
However, even if the exploits or tools used to conduct the hack were associated with Russia in the past, that does not necessarily make the case that the Russians were behind the hack this time. Indeed, once malware or another exploit is used, it tends to be utilized by other hackers and cyber criminals soon after. It may also be offered for sale on online black markets.
This has occurred with Russian malware before. When the Gyges malware was discovered by SentinelOne Research in 2014, it was found to share several similarities with “Russian espionage malware” that had been repurposed by non-state actor cybercriminals. The firm explained that the Gyges malware is an “example of how advanced techniques and code developed by governments for espionage are effectively being repurposed, modularized and coupled with other malware to commit cybercrime.”
U.S. government-created malware has also shared a similar fate, most recently with the WikiLeaks “Vault 7” revelations that the CIA lost control of its elite hacking arsenal, along with the breach of NSA hacking tools by the Shadow Brokers hacking collective. Tools from the latter were recently repurposed by the criminals responsible for the recent WannaCry ransomware attack that affected 74 nations and is said to have been one of the largest cyberattacks in history.

John ‘Pizzagate’ Podesta invites his own demise, attacks President Trump on Twitter
(INTELLIHUB) — A battle royal ensued on Twitter Friday, after President Donald Trump addressed former Clinton Campaign Chairman and alleged ‘Pizzagate child-sex trafficking ringleader’ John Podesta’s unwillingness to hand over the DNC server to the FBI for investigation into the alleged Russian hacking of critical U.S. infrastructure, i.e. electoral systems.
It all started when President Trump tweeted: “Everyone here is talking about why John Podesta refused to give the DNC server to the FBI and the CIA. Disgraceful!”
Everyone here is talking about why John Podesta refused to give the DNC server to the FBI and the CIA. Disgraceful!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 7, 2017
Needless to say, the former Clinton campaign chair was not going to go down without a fight. Podesta fired back at President Trump on Twitter, tweeting: “Pulled in for a pit stop in E. Fairmont W. Va. to see that our whack job POTUS @realDonaldTrump is tweeting about me at the G20. Get a grip man, the Russians committed a crime when they stole my emails to help get you elected President. Maybe you might try to find a way to mention that to President Putin.”
3/ Get a grip man, the Russians committed a crime when they stole my emails to help get you elected President.
— John Podesta (@johnpodesta) July 7, 2017
He added: “BTW, I had nothing to do with the DNC. God only knows what you’ll be raving about on twitter by the time we get to Utah. Dude, get your head in the game. You’re representing the US at the G20.”
Now I’m no genius — but I think that Podesta is barking up the wrong tree. Can you say ‘Pizzagate investigation?’

John Podesta denies ever holding stock in Kremlin-back company despite reports

"I didn"t have any stock in a Russian company"
(INTELLIHUB) — Hillary Clinton’s former Campaign Chairman John Podesta appeared on Fox Business on Thursday to talk about his secret House Intelligence Committee meeting over the ‘Russia election meddling probe’ but instead was unexpectedly bombarded with real and viable questions from “Mornings with Maria” host Maria Bartiromo.
During the segment Bartiromo asked Podesta if he finds it odd that “there has been so much attention on the Trump Campaign, his associates, and their potential collusion with Russia when , in fact, it’s really the Democrats who have deeper and stronger ties to Russia.”
The host asked Podesta about his widely reported ties to a Kremlin-backed company in which he was given 75,000 shares of stock, as previously reported by Intellihub in a March 27 report titled: “Report: John Podesta failed to disclose 75,000 stock shares in Russian financed company.”
“Maria that’s not true,” Podesta responded. “I fully disclosed and was completely compliant with, oh and by the way I divested before I went into the White House.”
To no surprise, Podesta, who is also the main focus of the online Pizzagate conspiracy, categorically denies Bartiromo’s claims and maintains the story is “not true,” despite existing evidence to the contrary.
“I didn’t have any stock in any Russian company, so go back and get your facts straight Maria,” Podesta said. “It’s not a Russian company.”

Maria Bartiromo Slams John Podesta Over His Ties To Russia
Authored by Joseph Jankowski via PlanetFreeWill.com,
Even after James O’Keefe and Project Veritas essentially blew the lid right off the fake ‘Russia hacked the election’ narrative, Hillary Clinton’s former campaign chairman, John Podesta, doubled down on the debunked narrative when challenged by Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo on his ties to a Kremlin-backed company.
Podesta met behind closed doors on Tuesday with the members of the House Intelligence Committee as part of the panel’s investigation into supposed Russian efforts to meddle in the presidential election.
When asked what he could tell the Thursday Fox audience about the House Intel meeting, Podesta explained that the panel wanted to know “what had happened to me and the effect on the campaign … the effect of the Russian interference in our democratic process.”
“They’re probing what actually happened, whether if there was collusion and what we’re going to do about,” Podesta told Bartiromo.
“They asked me not to get into specific questions that they asked me and my specific answers but in general terms, they’re taking a bipartisan look at this stage.”
Fox Host Maria Bartiromo then chimes in with a question that digs sharply into the skin of Podesta.
“Don’t you find it odd that there’s been so much attention on the Trump Campaign and the Trump associates and potential collusion with the Russians when in fact it’s really the Democrats who have deeper and stronger ties to Russia,” Bartiromo said.
“I mean John I have to ask your own situation..”
Bartiromo then goes on to break down how Podesta joined the board of the board of a small energy company in 2011 which later received $35 million from a Kremlin-funded entity. According to Bartiromo, Podesta also owns 75,000 shares in a Russian company and failed to disclose this to the Obama administration.
And this is where things got heated…

Fmr. Clinton Campaign Chair John Podesta summoned to secret House session
John Podesta set to give interview in secret despite his very own ties to Russia
WASHINGTON (INTELLIHUB) — Former Clinton Campaign Chairman John Podesta is set to be interviewed by the House Intelligence Committee in a secret session next week over Russia’s alleged interference of the U.S. electoral system during the 2016 run-up to the general election.
Yes, this is actually happening. Despite the fact that Podesta’s very own Russian ties run deep and that he “may have violated federal law when he failed to disclose that he received 75,000 shares of stock from a company financed by the Kremlin,” as Intellihub reported back in March, the Trump-Russia investigation continues full-steam.
The fmr. campaign chair will be the first of six witnesses to be interviewed behind close doors on the matter.
John Podesta was at the center of the Wikileaks ‘Podesta emails’ scandal where researchers in the online community claim that he is heavily involved with ‘Pizzagate‘ which is an alleged child sex-trafficking ring in the District of Columbia that reportedly prompted an out-of-state man to ‘self-investigate’ a local pizzeria and fire off a round from his AR-15 rifle.

Clinton Crew Dripping In Russian Entanglements While Deep State Rolls Snake Eyes On Trump
Content originally published at iBankCoin.com
President Trump is dropping more MOABs over Twitter, blasting his enemies for what he called the "single greatest WITCH HUNT In American political history" while nothing is being done about the fact that "Crooked H destroyed phones w/ hammer, "bleached" emails, & had husband meet w/AG days before she was cleared - & they talk about obstruction?"
Trump raised the question as to why he"s being investigated for what he calls "non-dealings" with Russia, while completely ignoring the cozy relationship between the Clintons, the Podestas, and Russian banking and energy interests.
As ZeroHedge reports:
[Trump] seems to have a point on this one. Last summer, we reported fairly extensively on the Hillary email scandal while it was virtually glossed over by the mainstream media.
And, like many people, we were astonished when FBI Director Comey made the unilateral assessment that, despite Hillary"s "extreme carelessness," no "reasonable" prosecutor would bring charges against her.
Unlike the current "Russia probe" which has revealed precisely zero tangible evidence, the FBI"s own reports from last summer revealed that Hillary and her staff intentionally destroyed official State Department emails despite confirming they were aware of the existence of a federal subpoena demanding the preservation of those emails (we covered it extensively here: The "Oh Shit" Moment: Hillary Wiped Her Server With BleachBit Despite Subpoena).
Let"s add a bit more color and review the Clinton"s actual shady ties to Russia. From the NYT:
Between 2008 – 2010, Uranium One / UrAsia investors donated $8.65 Million to the Clinton Foundation.
June 2009, Russian State Nuclear Agency Rosatom (through a subsidiary) takes a 17% stake in Uranium One.
June 2010, Russian State Nuclear Agency Rosatom takes majority ownership of Uranium One, which Hillary Clinton’s State Department signed off on.
June 29th, 2010, Bill Clinton earns $500,000 for a speech in Moscow to a Russian Investment bank that assigned a “buy” rating to Uranium One stock.
January, 2013: Rosatom State Nuclear Agency now owns Uranium one and takes it private.
Wait, you say - that Uranium deal had to go through an adviiiisory committee (Michael Savage voice). Know what? That committee is a joke...
"The committee almost never met, and when it deliberated it was usually at a fairly low bureaucratic level," Richard Perle said. Perle, who has worked for the Reagan, Clinton and both Bush administrations added, "I think it"s a bit of a joke." -CBS
Talking about transparency...
Clinton failed to disclose the $2.35 Million in donations (made in installments) from Uranium One chairman Ian Telfer to a nebulous slush fund subsidiary of the Clinton Foundation, set up by mining executive Frank Guistra (whose company merged with Uranium One). Guistra donated $31 Million to the Clinton Foundation. How charitable! (read more here in the New Yorker)
Let"s not forget - Russia"s largest bank - Sberbank - paid the Podesta group $170,000 over a 6 month period to lobby against 2014 economic sanctions put in place by the Obama administration:
Podesta’s efforts were a key part of under-the-radar lobbying during the 2016 U.S. presidential campaign led mainly by veteran Democratic strategists to remove sanctions against Sberbank and VTB Capital, Russia’s second largest bank.
The two Russian banks spent more than $700,000 in 2016 on Washington lobbyists as they sought to end the U.S. sanctions, according to Senate lobbying disclosure forms and documents filed with the Department of Justice.
The Podesta Group charged Sberbank $20,000 per month, plus expenses, on a contract from March through September 2016.
What"s more - Podesta forgot to register as a "Foreign Agent" while doing so!
So let"s get this straight; White House regular and creepy art aficionado Tony Podesta, brother of John Podesta (who would be Secretary of State today if Hillary had won), took money from the Russians during the US election in exchange for Washington influence.
This is not the first time the Podesta group has taken Russian money:
The Podesta group made $180,000 lobbying for Uranium One (source - you have to add up the years). These donations were made over the same time period that the Clinton Foundation was receiving millions from UrAsia / U1 interests. Tony Podesta also sat on the board (along with senior Russian officials) of a small energy company called Joule. Two months after Podesta joined the board, Joule landed a sweet $35 Million contract from Vladimir Putin’s Rusnano investment fund – which Podesta failed to disclose as required by law. Oh, and before joining the Clinton Campaign, John Podesta transferred 75,000 shares of Joule to his daughter through a shell company with her address. Maybe the optics didn’t look good or something?
Given all that - do you think Hillary and associates would be under congressional investigation right now if she had been elected President?
(nope)
