After Demanding Rights Violations, Parkland Students Upset At Violations Of Their Rights

The students at Marjorie Douglas High School returned to school to enhanced security measures. Now, after weeks of demanding the government violate their rights, they are upset that the government has violated their rights.

According to The Hill, a Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School student said the increased security measures her school is taking in the wake of February’s mass shooting will make going back to school following spring break even more difficult.

“It feels like being punished … It feels like jail, being checked every time we go to school,” said Isabelle Robinson, a senior at the Parkland, Florida high school. Failing to grasp the hypocrisy in their actions after demanding the government violates their rights and the rights of others who are completely innocent of the mass shooting, the students are now massively offended that they’ve had their rights violated.

“A lot of the people I’ve talked to are dreading going back,” Robinson told CNN. “I’m not happy with it. Why are you punishing me for one person’s actions?” Tyra Hemans, 19, a Stoneman senior, told CNN.

Earlier this month, millions of students across the country were encouraged by the government, mainstream media, and even their own school systems to walk out of class and demand the government take away their rights. It was, by no means, a challenge of authority and, in fact, it was a celebration of it.

Schools across the country not only sanctioned it, but they supported it and actually punished those who chose to abstain. The walkout was little more than young people conforming to government authority by parroting the government-approved message in a government-approved venue—even at the government-approved time.

The message was simple: we want this government to take our rights away.

Young Americans across the country marched to demand less freedom from their rulers and the mainstream media, celebrities, and politicians alike shoved this down our throats as some grassroots heroic political activism. However, it was the opposite, and now even the cheerleaders of this movement, David Hogg, Emma González, et. al., are beginning to realize what happens when you beg the state to take away your rights. They take away your rights –The Free Thought Project

When the Parkland students return this week to school after their spring break, they will be allowed only to carry clear backpacks on campus. In addition, students at the school will also be mandated to wear identification badges while in the school, according to a letter sent to families last month by Superintendent Robert Runcie. Florida Governor Rick Scott is also adding additional law enforcement officers to the school and the district is “exploring options for consolidating points of entry for students and staff to include utilizing metal-detecting wands and potentially installing permanent metal detectors.”

Since the shooting, students have become vocal advocates for gun control, demanding that lawmakers pass new gun laws and violate the rights of innocents to prevent future shootings. Now they’ve had their rights violated by the government and they don’t seem to like it very much.

Maybe now these students may grasp how it feels to have their most basic fundamental human rights violated because someone else committed an atrocity. Perhaps this will the wake-up call needed, however, we wouldn’t count on it. Hypocrisy runs deep and when it comes to the violation of rights, most Americans just don’t care until it happens to them.

Home Depot Co-Founder To Democrats: ‘You Don’t Have Any Brains’

marcus

Home Depot’s co-founder Bernie Marcus took a shot at Democrats during an interview with Fox News on Saturday. Marcus attacked Democrats for their lack of understanding the basic fundamentals of economics.

But let’s be real first.  If socialists understood even a microscopic amount of economics, they wouldn’t be socialists and ridiculous things like Oregon voters literally voting themselves a tax increase (on healthcare insurance policies and hospitals, nonetheless) would never happen.  Democrats bank on emotions without any regards to facts or evidence. Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way, it’s easy to see why Marcus said Democrats “don’t have any brains.”

“Democrats, use your stupid brains. You don’t have any brains and don’t understand what happens,” Marcus said on Fox News on Saturday. “This is not going to turn overnight. Corporations are not going to open 14 buildings overnight. Come on, give me a break, you’ve got to use your brains,” he said, referring to improvements in the economy.  According to The Hill, Republicans have said the recently passed GOP tax plan is helping the middle class, pointing to bonus announcements from companies such as Home Depot.

The home improvement retailer announced last week it would be doling out $1,000 bonuses for employees who have worked at Home Depot at least 20 years. Hourly employees who have worked for the retailer less than two years can expect a $200 bonus. Workers who have been at the company for 10 years to 14 years will get $400. Meanwhile, Democrats keep arguing that tax breaks only help the wealthy and corporations.

Representative Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, a Democrat from Florida, came under fire after she downplayed the $1,000 bonuses a number of companies have announced.  “I’m not sure that $1,000 — which is taxed, taxable — goes very far for almost anyone,” she said. So what she’s saying is taxation is theft? The government is stealing part of their rightly earned bonuses? That’s what we heard…

Hopefully, the left will get it together.  They look like toddlers throwing a tantrum because they don’t understand the simplest of economic math.  How on earth did a group of elitists convince their followers that the government stealing from people is a good thing?  It just goes to show how powerful propaganda can be.

HYPOCRITE Global Elites Fly To Davos Climate Change Summit In 1000 Private Jets

globalism1

Either the elite globalists and climate alarmists think we are too stupid to understand this bold hypocrisy, or they think they are above the rules they impose on others.  It’s actually probably both.

The globalist Davos summit opened with a speech from Narendra Modi, in which he identified climate change as the number one threat to civilization, and called for more wealth transfers from rich countries in order to help poorer nations “adopt appropriate technologies” for reducing climate emissions. Opposition to globalism is another major threat to the elitists, the Indian prime minister warned in his speech.  This closely follows on the heels of research published on the eve of the globalist get-together which revealed that CEOs in Western Europe see populism as the biggest threat to their profits.

Yet, all of these globalists are also hypocrites. More than 1,000 private jet flights have been delivering globalist elites to the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland where attendees are discussing (among other topics important to the globalists’ agenda) the “major threat” of the junk science, climate change. Airports around the Swiss ski resort will see the number of private jets spike 335 percent during the annual meeting of world elites, according to Air Charter Service (ACS).

According to Breitbart, Andy Christie, group director for executive jets at ACS, said clients last year opted for expensive “heavy jets” to their lighter, more environmentally-friendly alternatives, with Gulfstream GVs and Global Expresses both being used more than 100 times each.

“With the length of some of the journeys, these slightly larger aircraft would have been needed, but with such wealthy individuals attending, they can afford to use such aircraft from wherever they were coming – as well as the element of larger aircraft being seen as a status symbol,” he said. Research commissioned by the jet hire company found an average 218 private jet movements a day during the weeklong forum, compared to the 65 daily flights Swiss airfields usually deal with.

The mind-blowing hypocrisy of these globalists would be more than mildly amusing if they weren’t also playing chess with our lives.

Why Are There Hypocrites In The Church?

Why Are There Hypocrites In The Church?Mahatma Gandhi, India’s famous leader of the early 20th century, once said, “I like your Christ; I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ.”

No doubt, there are dark spots in Christian history. Words such as the Crusades and the witch trials, among others, come to mind. But for many reading this, hypocrisy in the church is more of a personal thing. Perhaps you have experienced some sort of judgment or had a terrible experience by a pastor, teacher or church member over the years. Maybe you felt you weren’t accepted. Or perhaps you have witnessed how some Christian leaders used their church position and influence to collect power and money. In short, sometimes, it seems, the best argument against Christians are Christians themselves.

These objections are very real for this author, and Jesus dealt with them famously in the Parable of the Good Samaritan. Notice Luke 10:30-32 (ESV):

Jesus replied, “A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and he fell among robbers, who stripped him and beat him and departed, leaving him half dead. Now by chance a priest was going down that road, and when he saw him he passed by on the other side. So likewise a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side.

What is Jesus doing here? He’s admitting the truth of hypocrisy among very religious people. Each of the characters in this story was off to do something religious—“I have to get to the church to do my duties.” And in the line with their duty, they step over someone who is truly hurting and in need.

Christian Heroes For Christian Kids: These Amazing Stories Are Putting God Back Into History!

You know, occasionally I gaze at the conduct of many Christians in our culture and I really wonder if we care more about being right factually than we do about people. Yes, proper theology is needed and can’t be dumped. Correct Orthodoxy equals correct orthopraxy.

church 1But if we are against something biblically (as we ought to), it should only be because we are for the people that are hurting, and that should come through in how we dialog about it. Remember: Jesus taught about trying to eliminate a crumb of dust from our brother’s eye when we have a plank in our own (Matthew 7:3-5).

In Luke 10:33-35, the Jews had the correct theology. Yet, the Samaritan acted more God-focused than the Jews, and God used this Samaritan to correct the Jewish people.

As Christians, we have to be meek enough to receive correction from any person—even if we think they are wrong biblically and even if it’s not done in a loving way. Honestly, many times in my life I have had people who weren’t Christians point out contradictions in my life. And, while I never liked it one bit, I’m grateful. We must accept truth in whatever way it comes to us.

But what do you do the next time someone tells you, “The church is full of hypocrites”? You can simply say, “You don’t even how much!” The greatest enemies of the church aren’t agnostics, scientists, atheists, Muslims or cultists, but pharisaical and nominal “Christians” who acknowledge Jesus with their lips but deny him by their lifestyle. True Christians aren’t hypocrites; they’re repentant sinners—big difference (2 Cor. 7:6-10). Hypocrites are those who pretend to be what they never intend to be. Hypocrites love what God can do for them, but true Christians love God for who He is. The hypocrite asks, “How little can I give and still be noticed?” The truly saved Christian asks, “How much can I give without being noticed?”

You may have been hurt by church people, but you should only give up on the local church when Jesus does (which is never) and not a second sooner.

Do you want to honor Jesus in the way you engage others? Don’t be easily offended. Be gracious. Give others the benefit of the doubt. And know God can work through all sinners—including yourself—for His glory.
