She Wants To “Close Down Planned Parenthood And Deport The Dreamers”: NBC’s Law & Order: SVU Depicts Sickening Rape Of Female Conservative Journalist Whose Attacker Goes Free

screen-shot-2018-02-01-at-8-12-04-pm-1024x569

While most conservative Americans are aware of the fact that both Hollywood and the mainstream media outright hate them, NBC has taken it to a whole new level with a recent episode of their highly popular police procedural Law & Order: SVU depicting the violent rape of a conservative journalist whose attacker is eventually let go.

In what is essentially a liberal rape fantasy, the show follows conservative personality Martha Cobb who is seen delivering a speech to a crowd of Trump supporters, depicted as racists of course, that rips liberal snowflakes and their politically correct views.

Cobb’s speech is cut short when a gang of Antifa protesters shows up and begins to clash with the mob of white supremacists. As the violence amps up, Cobb disappears only to reappear in a later scene unconscious in an alley after being beaten and raped by one of the hard-left protesters.

Shockingly, the show then depicts the NYPD detectives tasked with investigating the horrific crime debating Cobb’s political views as if they somehow mattered in deciding whether or not Cobb deserved the attack and whether her attacker should be brought to justice.

The detectives “argue” whether or not Cobb’s opposition to Planned Parenthood and her position on so-called Dreamers led to the attack.

The openly liberal detectives eventually catch the Antifa member responsible for the sexual assault who used a protest sign to “mutilate” Cobb. Cobb not only points out the attacker in a police lineup, his DNA is also found under her fingernails.

Cased closed? Not in the sick world that is liberal Hollywood as the show wouldn’t be complete without a fake white supremacist leader being blamed for the entire thing.

Sadly, in this brave new world that is liberal identity politics, the hate for conservatives runs so deep that NBC felt the need to insert a fake alt-right leader into the show which somehow confuses the case to the point that Cobb’s OWN LAWYER literally gives up and calls for her attacker to be let free.

Interestingly, the fictional female conservative journalist seems to strongly resemble at least two different actual conservative women who have both been highly critical of Antifa while being viciously attacked in the mainstream media.

In an article about the episode, Infowars points to multiple clues that seem to indicate that the sexual assault victim in the show is based on their own reporter, Millie Weaver. Keep in mind that the title of the episode is literally the name of the website that Weaver works for.

NBC’s Law & Order: SVU aired an episode titled “Info Wars” that slanders Trump supporters and depicts the rape of a conservative journalist by an Antifa protester.

The episode, released on Jan. 31, begins at the fictional Hudson University where conservative activist Martha Cobb, who is a direct knockoff of Infowars’ Millie Weaver, is speaking to a MAGA hat-wearing crowd holding Pepe and “CNN is ISIS” signs when a mob of Antifa demonstraters attacks her, cutting the speech short.

[…]

From titling the show “Info Wars,” to placing signs reading “CNN is ISIS,” (an Infowars slogan) to mimicking Infowars reporter Millie Weaver, there is little doubt that NBC is demonizing the nation’s leading independent media outlet.

For their part, Breitbart News seems to believe that the female conservative portrayed in the show is actually based on pundit Ann Coulter, a claim that was seemingly backed up by the shows own writer.

NBC police procedural Law & Order: SVU depicted the gruesome rape of a fictional conservative pundit, who eerily resembles author Ann Coulter, in Wednesday’s politically charged episode titled Info Wars.

[…]

On Wednesday, SVU writer Robert B. Cohen responded to a tweet by Ann Coulter. “Timely. #InfoWars,” Cohen wrote in response to Coulter’s tweet about a California city government’s vote to remove a Christopher Columbus statue from city hall.

That’s right, a writer for the show, Robert Cohen, actually CONFIRMED that the episode was about Coulter while claiming that it was “timely” because Coulter is protesting illegal immigration just as the episode came out.

Or, in other words, Cohen just publicly admitted that the episode is based on a sick fantasy that involves conservative women being sexual assaulted for their political beliefs. (Cohen himself is a hardcore anti-Trump propagandist)

To top it off, other actresses who worked on the episode are actually applauding the show for publishing a liberal rape fantasy targeting conservatives.

“Below is an example of Infowars reporter Millie Weaver covering a violent Antifa protest.”

Milo Returns To Berkeley, Will Spend "Whatever It Takes" On Security

Conservative provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos says he will spend “hundreds of thousands of dollars” on security during an upcoming event at the University of California-Berkeley.

Yiannopoulos being led away from a 2016 event that was cancelled by violent protesters.

In an interview with Campus Reform, Yiannopoulos said that he is “prepared to spend whatever it takes” to provide security for the “Free Speech Week” that is scheduled for the end of September, underscoring his sincerity with the six-figure commitment.

According to The Chronicle of Higher Education, the September 24 event at UC-Berkeley’s Sproul Plaza is slated to feature a lineup of popular conservative firebrands, including Yiannopoulos, Ann Coulter, and former White House strategist Stephen Bannon.

Despite the university’s recent pledge to hold a “free speech year” and crack down on those who use violence to shut down speakers, however, the administration has come under increasing pressure to derail the upcoming event.

Earlier this week, for instance, Berkeley Mayor Jesse Arreguin asked Chancellor Carol Christ to reevaluate her commitment to allowing the conservative speakers on campus.

“I’m very concerned about Milo Yiannopoulos and Ann Coulter and some of these other right-wing speakers coming to the Berkeley campus,” Arreguin told The San Francisco Chronicle.

“It’s just a target for black bloc to come out and commit mayhem on the Berkeley campus and have it potentially spill out on the street.”

Other local lawmakers also echoed the remarks of the Berkeley mayor, citing security concerns as the primary danger of allowing Yiannopoulos and others to hold the event on a university campus.

"We don’t want the moral, psychological and fiscal expense of having these agents of hate coming to our town,” Berkeley City Councilman Ben Bartlett told The Los Angeles Times.

"We know the contest of ideas is at the very heart of freedom, but at the same time when the ideas are certain to cause bloodshed I’m inclined to err on the side of protecting the population, and I say that with a heavy heart.”

Councilwoman Cheryl Davila likewise told the publication that she does not “appreciate that there are racists coming to UC Berkeley to spew hate.”

A UC-Berkeley spokesperson told Campus Reform in an email that the speakers for the upcoming event are being hosted by independent student organizations, and that the school therefore does not have “the legal right or desire to interfere with or cancel their invitations based on the perspectives and beliefs of the speakers.”

“Where we do have discretion is around everything that has to do with the safety of our communities,” the spokesperson said.

“That priority, along with our commitment to Free Speech, remains at the center of our planning and preparations for future events.”

Yiannopoulos, for his part, is well aware of the severity of the threat posed by Antifa and other leftist groups, having been driven from Berkeley’s campus by violent rioters last time he was scheduled to speak at the school earlier this year.

Ann Coulter Rips into Trump For Bannon Firing, Favoring 'Fake News Media' Over Conservative

Content originally published at iBankCoin.com

Ann Coulter, the conservative firebrand who predicted Trump would win, much to the cackling laughter of the Bill Maher audience and panel, railed against Trump in an interview with Mark Simone.

Sounding despondent and admittedly "depressed" over the recent firing of Steve Bannon, Coulter lashed out at the President, saying "it"s not a good idea to let the media know to manipulate him as President." Coulter was referencing Trump"s defensive posture and annoyance that Bannon had been credited with Trump"s election win. Over the past half year, the media, including comedy outlets, had lampooned Trump and Bannon -- painting Bannon as the true, yet sinister, mastermind behind Trump"s success.

Coulter almost pined for the campaign era days of Trump, reflectively saying "finally, after 30 years, we"re gonna get a President not controlled by Goldman Sachs," making reference to the Goldman alumni stacking Trump"s cabinet.

Coulter threw down the gauntlet to Trump, saying,  "if you really want to prove to us that Bannon had nothing to do with winning the nomination and then winning the Presidency, what you really want to do now is pedal to the metal on raising taxes on Wall Street (carried interest loophole), start deporting illegals, end NAFTA, bring the jobs back and build the wall."

Ann furthered, "and if he does all those things, okay, I"ll say "My gosh Mr. President you"re right. Steve Bannon had nothing to do with your success.""

The reason why she"s depressed over Bannon"s departure likely stems from the fact that all loyalists from inside the campaign, save Conway and Miller, have been purged from the White House.

"People like us should be a little depressed today because there"s no one on the President"s side in the White House anymore. "

She summed up Trump"s isolation succinctly, "it"s just you in the White House surrounded by the people you hired from Goldman Sachs. Don"t you want to have one guy in the White House on your side?"

Ann then ripped Trump to shreds for calling out "fake news media" and then giving them exclusive access to him, saying "he"s calling Maggie Haberman (NY Times) everyday."

"Why isn"t he giving all his interviews to Breitbart, Daily Caller? Why isn"t he directing his communications director, or press secretary, to call on the conservative media. No, the conservative media is totally dissed in the press briefing room."

In short...

"He"s surrounded himself with the ruling class." -- Ann Coulter

America Is On The Verge Of Widespread Chaos And Civil Unrest

America Is On The Verge Of Widespread Chaos And Civil Unrest | city-skyscrapers-clock-time-stopwatch-seconds-war | Politics Sleuth Journal Society Special Interests US News

Things will never be the same in America from this moment forward. When 66-year-old James Hodgkinson attempted to gun down as many Republican members of Congress as possible at a baseball field in Virginia, he permanently shattered the notion that we could go back to the way that things used to be in this country. At one time, Republicans and Democrats may have strongly disagreed with one another over the issues, but there was always a certain code of civility that everyone understood and respected. But now that is long gone, and if our politicians and the big media outlets continue to fuel the rising hatred in this country, it won’t be too long before we are dealing with widespread chaos and civil unrest from coast to coast.

Most of the anger and frustration that we are currently witnessing is being fueled by the left. On his radio show yesterday, Rush Limbaugh accused the left of openly promoting violence

“I have been worried for quite a while about the cumulative effect or impact of this constant anti-Trump hysteria everywhere in mainstream media: New York Times, Washington Post, LA Times, CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC,” Limbaugh told listeners.

“It’s hysteria. It’s lies. It’s things that are completely manufactured about Trump personally, about Trump and Russia, about climate change, about any number of things.

“I have been very concerned about what all of this is doing to the average, base Democrat voter. I have sensed them getting more and more fringe and imbalanced, and the evidence for it is everywhere in the things that they tweet. They openly promote violence, and advocate some of the most despicable things happening to their political enemies.”

Someone like James Hodgkinson is not produced in a vacuum. There has been a steady pattern of threats and violence against Republicans since the election, and all that Hodgkinson did was take things to the next level. Breitbart has put out an article entitled “15 Times Celebrities Envisioned Violence Against Trump and the GOP”, and WND published an even longer list entitled “20 times violence threatened, used, in wake of Dems’ political collapse”. When celebrities, politicians and media personalities constantly use language that is seething with hatred, it shouldn’t surprise us when their followers engage in violent acts.

I have warned many times in the past about the civil unrest that is coming, and now many of my fellow conservative commentators are sounding the alarm as well. For example, in the aftermath of the attack in Virginia radio host Michael Savage made the following chilling statement to his audience: “We are at a boiling point. There’s going to be a civil war.”

No American should ever want to see such a thing happen, but the left just keeps getting more and more radical. And even Hillary Clinton recently stated that she has joined “the Resistance”. The following comes from Ann Coulter

Recently, Hillary announced her steadfast opposition to the winning candidate using a military term, saying she’d joined the “Resistance.”

Imagine if Trump lost and then announced that he’d joined the “RESISTANCE.” He’d be accused of trying to activate right-wing militias. Every dyspeptic glance at an immigrant would be reported as fascistic violence.

But the media seem blithely unaware that the anti-Trump “Resistance” has been accompanied by nonstop militaristic violence from liberals.

In recent weeks, I have heard from so many people all over the nation that are extremely excited about the possibility of me running for Congress. But anyone that is considering running for public office these days has to consider the fact that they will become potential targets for violence. For example, just recently one very sick individual actually threatened to hang Utah Representative Jason Chaffetz…

“I feel very safe and secure at the Capitol,” Chaffetz said Wednesday. “We work in a fortress with literally thousands of people to protect us, but once we leave the Capitol, it’s a whole different equation.”

Chaffetz wants U.S. marshals to be charged with assessing threats against members of Congress and securing them in more high-profile and widely attended events.

Chaffetz was the focus of a March death threat in which a Florida man vowed in a voicemail to “hunt your a– down, wrap a rope around your neck and hang you from a lamppost,” according to court records.

Could you imagine if your wife found that voicemail before you did?

But this is what the left is becoming. Because they don’t have any sort of a positive message to offer, they have to resort to threats, intimidation and violence. I have been writing about this quite a bit lately, and it turns out that Rush Limbaugh very much feels the same way…

They don’t have an agenda that’s optimistic and upbeat that they can run on, and they don’t dare be honest about their real agenda. So all they can do is to continue to do what they’ve been doing, and it’s not healthy, it’s not uplifting, it’s not inspiring. It isn’t representative or reflective of any of the traditional American values that for so long have united us. A sense of optimism, a sense of can-do, a sense of unity, a sense of nationhood. All of these things are under assault.

If the left continues to go down this path, the anger and the frustration are going to continue to grow, and eventually cities all over America are going to burn. This is the kind of a scenario that I laid out in The Beginning Of The End, and now it is actually starting to play out right in front of us.

Today, this nation is more divided than it has ever been in my entire lifetime, and I don’t see that changing any time soon. In fact, I expect even more anger and even more hatred as the divisions deepen.

Without each passing year, the left moves even farther to the left. It has gotten to the point where many on the far left actually refer to Hillary Clinton as a “moderate”, which is funny because at one time she was a cutting edge liberal.

On the right, there is an emerging movement to return to the values and the principles that this country was founded upon. So if the left doesn’t like current Republican leadership, then they really aren’t going to like the hardcore constitutional conservatives that are going to start replacing them.

We are in a battle for the soul of our nation, and the future of America is literally at stake.

It is a battle that we cannot afford to lose, because if the left wins there literally will be no viable future for our country at all.

Ann Coulter Tells Hannity AG Sessions Needs To 'Come Out Swinging' As Entire Point Of Special Counsel Has Evaporated

Ann Coulter went on Sean Hannity"s radio show Monday to discuss Attorney General Jeff Sessions" upcoming testimony tomorrow in front of the Senate Intel Committee investigating Russian interference in the 2016 election.

Coulter said Sessions needs to "come out swinging" - defending his meetings with the Russian Ambassador, while making the case for dissolving the FBI"s Special Counsel investigation headed by former FBI head Robert Mueller - as it"s almost entirely based on now disproven allegations of obstruction and political revenge by President Trump which in Coulter"s words have "evaporated."

I"m depressed because Republicans are just instinctive losers. We"re going to see a replay of Donald Rumsfeld apologizing for Abu Ghraib - well that was the end of Donald Rumsfeld. That. Was. The. End. Do not apologize Republicans. Jeff Sessions needs to come out swinging and say "that was nonsense, I was trying to be nice - but I"m not recusing myself and I"m firing Mueller."

Coulter then puts the whole "met with the Russian diplomat" thing in context...

Coulter: Why did Jeff Sessions recuse himself Because he met wit the Russian Ambassador which every other senator has done? His job at the time - let"s play this back, he wasn"t Vice President, he wasn"t Steven Miller writing the speeches. He wasn"t even Roger Stone for Pete"s sake. His job was United States Senator.

Yes, he endorsed Donald Trump and introduced him at a few AL rallies. As his full time job, United States Senator, he met with the Russian Ambassador - as did a dozen democrats! That"s what you do, as you know and have probably surely talked about. Claire McKaskill was tweeting out about her meeting with the Russian Ambassador. Dianne Feinstein - there are pictures of them all meeting with the Russian Ambassador. There is nothing improper about Jeff Sessions meeting with the Russian ambassador - and on that, he recuses himself and they demand a special counsel on the false claim - which Comey allowed to sit out there, that Donald Trump himself was personally under investigation.

Jared Kushner is the only reason to continue investigating.

Coulter says that of all the people currently working in the White House, there"s nobody whose actions or connections justify the special counsel aside from Jared Kushner...

Coulter: The only one who"s a the White House is the President"s son in law. If he [Jared Kushner] leaves, there"s no basis for an independent counsel.

Lying MSM

Hannity: Sessions is gonna go in there tomorrow. And Sessions did his job as Senator, and the media is going to go insane and I assume the networks are going to cover this. I"ve never seen such outright lying to the American people by the press in my life, and I"m not sure what the answer is to get them to stop and maybe for a second, you know, just try to stand true to their mission of objectivity a little bit.

Coulter: Sessions has got to say the entire point of having an independent counsel has evaporated with James Comey"s eventual, reluctant admission that Trump is not under investigation - so he"s not recusing himself, he"s firing Muller...  ...the only possible downside is that the media will be hysterical! Will anyone notice the difference? They"ve been calling for his impeachment before he was sworn in!

Sean Hannity then confidently tells Coulter that Trump was bluffing about the tapes

Coulter:  On Friday on Lawrence O"Donnell they had an entire segment on "what if Trump destroyed the tapes?" So we"re already in never-never land on what if"s, and we must impeach...

Hannity: Ann, I can assure you - there are no tapes. That was Trump saying "I may have "em" to get in his head.

Coulter: It worked, it got Comey to tell the truth about a few major [things]... Trump himself wasn"t under investigation. The other part is the truth about what he said about Michael Flynn. I mean it"s so clear now even in Comey"s description of it...

Ann Coulter Turns On Trump: "This Is The Great Negotiator?"

Ann Coulter was a Trump believer from the beginning.  As far back at June 2015 she predicted a Trump victory on the Bill Maher show and was openly mocked by the audience and other panelists.  But, turns out she was quite right.

Coulter even went on to publish a book entitled "In Trump We Trust" which she hailed as the story of a "one-man wrecking ball against our dysfunctional and corrupt establishment."

But, after a series of flip-flops on everything from the timing of the border wall to the "obsolescence" of NATO, Coulter is growing a little weary of waiting on Trump to deliver on campaign promises.

Sitting down for an interview with the Daily Caller, Coulter said she"s "not very happy with what has happened so far" and asked "is the great negotiator?"

Uhhhh. I’m not very happy with what has happened so far. I guess we have to try to push him to keep his promises. But this isn’t North Korea, and if he doesn’t keep his promises I’m out. This is why we voted for him. I think everyone who voted for him knew his personality was grotesque, it was the issues.

I hate to say it, but I agree with every line in my friend Frank Bruni’s op-ed in The New York Times today. Where is the great negotiation? Where is the bull in the china shop we wanted? That budget the Republicans pushed through was like a practical joke… Did we win anything? And this is the great negotiator?

We had no choice. Yeah, I mean my fingers are still crossed, it’s not like I’m out yet, but boy things don’t look good. I’ve said to other people, “It’s as if we’re in Chicago and Trump tells us he’s going to get us to LA in six days. But for the first three days we are driving towards New York. Yes it is true he can still turn around and get us to LA in three days, but I’m a little nervous.

Asked why she thought Trump was failing, Coulter blamed a lack of "professional" political experience and a Washington establishment intent upon bringing down his administration.

"...just put it down to him not being a professional politician and having to come into the presidency with no support network, with all of official Washington against him.

I do of course blame Congress most of all. They are swine. They only care about their own careers. Who knows how much of it is corruption and how much of it is pure stupidity. People should start sending Paul Ryan bricks to indicate how much we want the wall.

They are the opposition party to Donald Trump. This is really something we’ve never seen before. The president stands alone, it’s his own political party, he’s Gary Cooper. All we have is millions of Americans behind him, but he doesn’t have anybody in Washington behind him.

Coulter

Meanwhile, Coulter also took a shot at Trump"s new National Security Advisor H. R. McMaster for coming off as a caricature of a "stupid Republican" with his pronunciation of "Murica"...

It’s just that it has been such a disaster so far, and that General Kelly is so preposterous, and McMaster — did you see him at that press conference? I thought he was retarded. You have to link to that video.

I’ve never actually heard anyone other than liberals mocking their idea of a stupid Republican say, “Murica.”

...something we also noted last week...

"But his pronunciation of "Muricah" stole the spotlight..."

And while Coulter said she"s still holding out "hope" for the Trump presidency, a dangerous thing when it comes to Washington D.C. and politicians, she concluded by saying, "I think all of the Trump true believers are petrified."

Is Communist Speech Free Speech?

Authored by Andrew Syrios via The Mises Institute,

Last month, former Vermont governor Howard Dean announced that "hate speech is not protected by the first amendment." Specifically, Dean was opposing a proposed speaking engagement for columnist Ann Coulter, whose ideas are apparently so offensive to Dean, that even the most fundamental freedoms cannot be allowed to endure.

Dean no doubt thought he was striking a great blow against the fascists who would deprive us of our fundamental rights. However, if Dean wants to attack speech that is actually connected to mass murder and the destruction of human society, he might want to look somewhere other than Coulter"s enthusiasm for a border wall.

Indeed, if Howard Dean is so concerned about hate, he"s likely find a lot more of it among communists than among people like Coulter, despite her faults.

A Truly Deadly Ideology

Recently we commemorated another Victims of Communism Day, which is sometimes euphemistically referred to as May Day. This time, there were riots in Paris as “protesters” committed all sorts of vandalism, assault, and mayhem. In addition to the standard Che shirts and the like, there were actually people holding banners with Stalin’s face on it!

In Berkeley, and really across the United States and Europe, we’ve seen various Antifa communists commit all sorts of violence against anyone they deem to be a fascist. And as far as I can tell, Antifa defines a fascist as anyone who isn’t a communist. They’ve pepper sprayed women and hit men with bike locks. These folks certainly aren’t run-of-the-mill left liberals. Indeed, as Antifa has so helpfully told us, “Liberals get the bullet too.”

This shouldn’t be particularly surprising. Going back through the twentieth century communists generally fall into two categories; 1) Mass-murdering, totalitarian dictators when in power and 2) terrorists when not-in power.

“People have completely forgotten that in 1972 we had over nineteen hundred domestic bombings in the United States,” noted retired FBI agent Mark Noel. Most of these bombings were committed by terrorist groups such as the Weather Underground. Which is just one in a long list of communist terrorist organizations including FARC, M-19, the Symbionese Liberation Army, the PKK and, let’s be honest, Antifa. In fact, a 2001 Department of Energy study found that,

From an international perspective, of the 13,858 people who died between 1988 and 1998 in attacks committed by the 10 most active terrorist groups in the world, 74 percent were killed by leftist organizations.

Still, that amounts to only about 1000 deaths per year, which is nothing compared to what happens when communists actually take charge of the reins of government. When communists finally do come to power, you get Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, Lenin, Castro, Kim Jong-Il, Kim Il-Sung, Ceausescu and Tito.

You get the Holodomorthe Killing Fieldsthe Great Purgethe Great Leap Forwardthe Cultural Revolution, the NKVD, the Stasi and the KGB.

In short, you get 100,000,000 dead people.

That figure comes from The Black Book of Communism and has been disputed. Although some, such as R.J. Rummel, put the figure substantially higher. He comes up with 150 million! To put that in perspective, fascist governments, along with every other type of government in the 20th century combined, as bad as they were, killed far fewer than the communists did even though far less than 50 percent of the world’s population lived under communist tyranny in the 20th century.

Indeed, prior to 1917, there were no communist governments. And after 1991, there were effectively only two; Cuba, which is bad and North Korea, which is essentially an open-air gulag holding 25 million de facto slaves

Thus, we have to ask the hard questions: Can we allow communists and communist sympathizer’s free reign to spread their dangerous ideas? Can we give them a platform to preach their blood-soaked pinko nonsense? Is commie speech free speech?

When asking yourself this question, it’s probably worth remembering that during the Great Leap Forward, Mao’s troops forced dissidents to bury their own children alive. Can we really risk allowing apologists for such things the right to speak because of some 18th-century notions regarding free speech? If the politically incorrect utterings of a columnist are to be declared verboten, then surely speech in favor of modern history"s most murderous ideology might be suspect as well.

Modern day communists may say “real communism has never been tried” and that their version of communism will be all peace and friendship. But just because something has failed every single time it has been tried does not mean it has not been tried. When you have a 0.000 batting average, it’s time to retire.

If Howard Dean is looking to condemn something that has perpetuated hate to an unmatched level throughout much of the last century, the answer should be plain as day.

Bill Maher Lashes Out At Cal Berkeley's "F**king Babies"

It appears even the most liberal of Democrats are turning on their own as the virtue-signalling vacillations grow ever more mind-bending.

After University of California at Berkeley officials decision to rescind an invitation for conservative author and commentator Ann Coulter to speak on campus, only to restore the invitation for a later date...

HBO "Real Time" host Bill Maher exclaimed on his show Friday night that...

"Berkeley, you know, used to be the cradle of free speech, and now it"s just the cradle for f—king babies."

As The Hill reports, Coulter"s speech set for this Thursday was canceled due to anxiety by school officials that protests could spin out of control the same way they did in February when alt-right provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos was scheduled to speak. Riots resulted in more than $100,000 in damage to the campus and the speech was cancelled due to security concerns.

But after scathing criticism, the school reversed its decision on Coulter on Thursday, and will host the speech on May 2.

“I feel like this is the liberals’ version of book burning, and it’s got to stop," Maher said before taking aim at former Democratic National Committee chairman Howard Dean for his tweet stating hate speech isn"t protected by the First Amendment.

“Yes it is!” Maher insisted.

“Threats are not protected by the First Amendment,” the host added.

“It doesn"t mean "just shut up and agree with me.’”

Conservative commentator S.E. Cupp, a panelist on Maher’s show Friday, doubled down on Maher’s criticism.

“It’s a shame,” she said. “Liberals are creating a fantasy land on college campuses that does not exist in the real world.”

Maher and Coulter are longtime friends. She has appeared on "Real Time" on multiple occasions over the years. “I obviously don’t believe in his politics, but I like him. He’s a true and loyal friend. He always has been,” Coulter told Sean Hannity last year.

Ironically, as The Hill notes, Maher was UC-Berkeley"s 2014 fall commencement speaker, but students at the time started a petition to have him removed over a disagreement on the atheist comedian"s views on religion and Islamic terror.

Berkeley cancels conservative firebrand Ann Coulter’s speech over fears of more violent protests

Berkeley cancels conservative firebrand Ann Coulter’s speech over fears of more violent protests

April 19

After riots and violent protests in and around their campus during the past three months, officials at the University of California at Berkeley said Wednesday that the school is canceling a planned speech by conservative firebrand Ann Coulter because of safety concerns.

In a letter to a campus Republican group that invited Coulter to speak, university officials said that they made the decision to cancel Coulter’s appearance after assessing the violence that flared on campus in February, when the same college Republican group invited right-wing provocateur and Breitbart editor Milo Yiannopoulos to speak.

The violence and protests caused by Yiannopoulos’s invitation garnered national attention and forced officials to put the campus on lockdown. And after the university canceled the Yiannopoulos’s talk, President Trump criticized the school and threatened in a tweet to pull federal funds from UC-Berkeley.

The decisions by UC-Berkeley to cancel both events involving high-profile Republicans are especially notable given the campus’s role during the 1960s and 1970s as the birthplace of the Free Speech Movement and its long tradition of social protest.

Coulter said in an email to The Washington Post on Wednesday that the university had been trying to force her to cancel her speech by “imposing ridiculous demands” on her but that she still agreed “to all of their silly requirements.” She said that she believes her speech “has been unconstitutionally banned” by the “public, taxpayer-supported UC-Berkeley.”

Coulter said the university insisted that her speech take place in the middle of the day, that only students could attend, and that the exact venue wouldn’t be announced until the last minute. She said that she agreed with the conditions, but that apparently wasn’t good enough.

“They just up and announced that I was prohibited from speaking anyway,” Coulter said, noting that her speech topic was to be immigration, the subject of one of her books. “I feel like the Constitution is important and that taxpayer-supported universities should not be using public funds to violate American citizens’ constitutional rights.”

Ann Coulter Vows to Speak at Berkeley After University Cancels Her Appearance

“Yes, it was officially banned,” said the political commentator and author. “But they can’t stop me. I’m an American. I have constitutional rights.”

It appears UC Berkeley is in for another political brawl, this time with Ann Coulter, who tells The Hollywood Reporter that she’ll speak at the famously progressive campus even though administrators are trying to prevent her from doing so.

“Yes, it was officially banned,” Coulter said of her planned April 27 appearance. “But they can’t stop me. I’m an American. I have constitutional rights.”

Coulter had accepted an invitation from two campus groups — the Berkeley College Republicans and BridgeUSA — to deliver a speech about immigration, the topic of one of her 12 New York Times best-selling books.

“If that’s banned, then no conservative can speak,” Coulter told THR on Wednesday. “Meanwhile, corrupt banana republic leaders like Vicente Fox have the red carpet rolled out for them on the taxpayer’s dime.”

Fox, the former president of Mexico, spoke in Berkeley this week.

“I’m giving a speech,” countered Coulter. “Speech will go on.”
