New California Bill Would ELIMINATE Free Speech, Require ‘Online Fact Checkers’

California Senator Richard Pan, the infamous fascist who forced a mandatory vaccination law through in order to rake in money from big pharma, has decided there should no longer be free speech for anyone other than the government.  Pan’s new bill proposes to require “online fact checkers” to verify content before anything can be posted on the internet.

Anyone who has ever said tyranny cannot come to America has been proven wrong. Pan’s new bill would basically outlaw questioning the government’s official narrative, and is reminiscent of the book burning days of Nazi Germany. The bill supposedly only targets social media in California, but as Jon Rappaport points out, once you read the bill, it applies to the whole of the internet.

This isn’t some sort of prank either.  The leftists in power are getting desperate in their attempt to control information and produce propaganda and this is just more evidence of such.  We experienced evidence of this yesterday when SHTFPlan reported that the Department of Homeland Security has been instructed to compile a database of all journalists and online “media influencers.”

But that’s all beginning now, here, in the “land of the free.” Last week, SHTFPlan interviewed Sarah Leach who was detained without charges for survivalist posts on her own Facebook page. But we are expected to believe that DHS has no nefarious reasoning for compiling a list of all journalists, bloggers, podcasters, or as they like to call them: “media influencers”?

FedBizOpps.gov posted a relatively benign-sounding subject: “Media Monitoring Services” by DHS. Of course, the government always makes basic human rights violations sound benign when we all know they are anything but. The details of the attached Statement of Work outline a plan to gather and monitor the public activities of media professionals and influencers and are enough to cause nightmares of constitutional and basic fundamental human rights proportions,particularly as the freedom of the press is under attack worldwide. Yes, that includes in the United States.

And “attack” is not hyperbolic. -SHTFPlan

Should this bill in California pass, the state will actually have major regulations on free speech and give themselves the power to prosecute “speech criminals.”  Don’t believe it? Well, the bill is short.  Here’s what it says:

SB 1424

This bill would require any person who operates a social media, as defined, Internet Web site with a physical presence in California to develop a strategic plan to verify news stories shared on its Web site. The bill would require the plan to include, among other things, a plan to mitigate the spread of false information through news stories, the utilization of fact-checkers to verify news stories, providing outreach to social media users, and placing a warning on a news story containing false information.

(a) Any person who operates a social media Internet Web site with physical presence in California shall develop a strategic plan to verify news stories shared on its Internet Web site.

(b) The strategic plan shall include, but is not limited to, all of the following:

(1) A plan to mitigate the spread of false information through news stories.

(2) The utilization of fact-checkers to verify news stories.

(3) Providing outreach to social media users regarding news stories containing false information.

(4) Placing a warning on a news story containing false information.

(c) As used in this section, “social media” means an electronic service or account, or electronic content, including, but not limited to, videos, still photographs, blogs, video blogs, podcasts, instant and text messages, email, online services or accounts, or Internet Web site profiles or locations.

In other words, no one may use their human right to free speech to question the government’s official story anymore.  Regardless of whether the “facts” given make any sense or not, people will be banned from saying so.

In case you believe there are too many websites and blogs based in California to enforce a new draconian law, let me explain how the game works. Behind closed doors, the state government would decide to focus on a few big issues. For example, gun control, vaccines, and immigration. Enforcement agencies would go after the biggest Internet operations expressing politically unacceptable points of view on those subjects. At first. A spread of smaller operations would feel the heat later.

So-called fact checkers would come from government-supported groups who agree with Official Positions. In other words, they wouldn’t be fact checkers at all. They would be prime news fakers. –Jon Rappaport

Although this and the database of journalists operated by DHS are huge human and constitutional rights violations, it’s become abundantly clear that the government does not care at all and will continue to advance tyranny and grab more power for themselves.  When is the breaking point? It used to be a 3% tax on tea.  Now, it certainly feels like there’s nothing Americans won’t give up to keep giving the government more power over their lives.

How Gun Control Laws for “Mentally Ill” Could Disarm Those Who Question Authority

In the growing debate surrounding the natural right to self-defense, one of the most popular proposed methods of gun control has been restrictions on gun-ownership for those who are deemed to be mentally ill. This is a measure that is often suggested by liberals and conservatives alike, but it is important to stop and consider what something like this might entail.

When any collective group is banned from owning a gun, they are effectively turned into second-class citizens. In the case of mental illness, that classification is so vague and open to interpretation that it could possibly be applied to over half of the population, depending on which criteria you use.

Mental illness can be very hard to identify since there is no kind of official test for most conditions, most people are diagnosed according to the subjective opinions of the doctors that observe them. Even the most severe conditions, like schizophrenia, can be very difficult to identify and is often misdiagnosed.

Psychiatric drugs are another possible factor that could get someone marked by the government as mentally unstable, but a classification like this would allow for large portions of the US population to be disarmed.

According to a 2016 study by JAMA Internal Medicine, more than 1 in 6 Americans are on some type of psychiatric drug. This is not to mention the large number of people who report symptoms of depression or anxiety and don’t take medication.

A policy like this could also allow the government to disarm dissidents and political enemies. As psychiatry became more influential towards the middle of the 20th century, rulers around the world began using “mental illness” as an excuse to lock away anyone who might disagree with them. The Soviet regime became notorious for this practice by labeling all political dissidents as “mentally ill” so they could be locked away in institutions where they were no threat to the establishment.

The United States government also has a long history of slapping unruly citizens with the mark of mental illness. President Franklin Roosevelt famously called his detractors “the lunatic fringe,” and this type of attitude towards activists has carried on in the halls of government to this day.

In the dictionary of mental illnesses, known as DSM-5, published by the American Psychiatric Association, there is actually a condition listed for people who have a problem with authority. Oppositional Defiant Disorder is a name that psychiatrists made up to identify children who won’t do what they are told, and now even adults are being diagnosed with this condition as well.

Meanwhile, politicians and mainstream media are quick to label anyone who questions the official narrative as a “conspiracy theorist,” a term that has been falsely associated with mental illness in pop culture.

A study in 2017 set out to determine whether or not believing in conspiracy theories was a form of mental illness. As expected they found the exact answer that they were looking for, people who don’t trust the government and mainstream media are crazy, and suffering from something called illusory pattern perception.

There is another dilemma that arises in the discussion of disarming people who are accused of having a mental illness, and that is the fact mentally ill people are 10 times more likely to be victims of violence than the rest of society because they are often seen as easy targets.

Complicating matters further is the fact that these people can’t depend on the police to help them in these situations, as studies have shown that the mentally ill are 16 times more likely to be killed by a police officer than the average person.

According to the Virginia-based Treatment Advocacy Center, a minimum of 1 in 4 fatal police encounters ends the life of an individual with severe mental illness.

To prevent mentally ill people from owning firearms is a severe form of “ableist” discrimination, and also opens the door for nearly anyone to be classified as mentally ill.

There are sometimes extreme cases where a person’s mental instability is creating a dangerous situation for the community, like the recent Parkland shooting, for example. In this case, the shooter had a known history of violence, regularly made threats and was visited by police on numerous occasions because of his threatening behavior. In cases like this, it is reasonable to keep an eye on someone, restrict their access to firearms, or possibly quarantine them from society in the most extreme situations.

There are many laws on the books currently would have allowed the FBI or local police to intervene in their initial encounters with the shooter, but they decided that a student known for violent outbursts and talking about carrying out school shootings was not worth looking into.

As TFTP reported earlier this month, there is a law on the books known as the Extreme Risk Protection Order or ERPO, which went into effect in June of 2017. This law is used when a person is considered an “extreme” threat as reported by police and family members. An ERPO must be approved by a judge and only after this person is proven to be a danger to themselves or others can police move in to confiscate their weapons.

These types of targeted approaches specifically aimed at individuals who are a known source of violence in the community would do far more to prevent tragedies from happening, than a wide-reaching law that could threaten the rights and safety of millions of innocent gun owners.

Destiny Looms: Choose Your Way or it Drags You

Posting articles online, especially for readers of high intelligence, can be quite a balancing act. In fact, with certain topics, it is like walking a tightrope while wearing ice-skates in a crosswind. At times, the tightrope represents the delicate balance between the cerebral hemispheres. According to Left- Brain Right-Brain Theory, the left-brained technicians incline towards logic, analysis, and objectivity, and the right-brained artisans are intuitive, subjective, and romantic.

Although I can play either side, I personally favor the creative aspects of artistic, conceptual visualization. This may be why left-brained people rarely get my jokes. For instance, if I wrote how mechanical engineers design weapons and civil engineers design targets, there would be comments in the ensuing thread informing me that both types of engineers design FAR more than just those two categories. Even more importantly, extreme caution must be applied to never get the science wrong, ever. Make one mistake and medieval heretics burned at the stake will gaze up from hell and say: “There but for the grace of God, go we” as the left-brainers, with smoking pens in melted shirt pocket-protectors, dance upon my ashes.

So it’s a fine line.

Effort is required, not only to countervail the cerebral hemispheres, but to reach the blue-pilled wonders while still engaging the red-pilled cynics; to affect those in my personal circle as well as strangers; and concurrently appeal to both conspiracy speculators and the… shall we say…trusting ones.

All that was a preamble for this:

In this article, (gasp) I want to reference stories and personalities that were recorded in the Bible.

My reasons for doing this are, first, for purposes of illustration; and secondly, because the Bible stories and characters represent a universal reference point from which to begin a conversation I believe is important at this time.

To the non-believers, I say it’s no different than citing any other historical record, legend, myth, or fairy tale.

To the believers, I’d ask you to look beyond what is written here and fill in the blanks according to your faith; and remember that even the self-proclaimed Son of God used a little creative licensenow and then to make the occasional point. I say that with all due respect.

Moreover, although I have taken every precaution to be accurate, I will not quote chapter and verse in this one; it’s not that kind of essay. Finally, some of the readers may not appreciate my raising more questions than answers here. In that regard, please accept my apologies in advance.

Here goes:

Time’s Up

Can you feel the noose tightening? Can you see and smell the foul feculence flung towards the whirling flabellum?

Like the divided hemispheres of a giant brain, so is America today. Except no longer are the two sides working for the betterment of one nation. On the contrary, for the past several decades the collective schizophrenia of the Political Left has progressively degenerated. Upon the election of Donald Trump, however, a psychotic break was induced of a magnitude not seen since Jeffrey Dahmer’s final dinner party, at midnight, on Halloween.

In addition to hallucinations of Russian election hacking, and delusions of presidential obstructions of justice, the First, Second, and Fourth Amendments to the United States Constitution are under simultaneous attack by both the psychotically sadistic Deep State and their self-flagellating, collectivist gimps.

It has become so bad, the internet memes are ridiculing the same maniacal, flakes, freaks, and fruitcakes who were calling Trump “Hitler” last fall for NOW begging him to take away their guns. That is, until the Electronic Social Planners remove such politically incorrect demonstrations of online mimetic communication. Yes, just as the dingbats, dummies, dorks, dolts, and dopes descend into unredeemable devastating delirium, the World Wide Web is being pureed into soft servings for the suffering and sickly snowflakes to swallow.

Sadly, the once promising new frontier, and former Wild West of free speech, is dying.

Online censorship by Google, YouTube’s Third Strike against Alex Jones and other independent and conservative users, ever-expanding thought control by Twitter, and electronic jackbooted smackdowns by Facebook are the norm today instead of the previous random, occasional, or accidental incidences. Someone, somewhere, has turned has turned down the heat and the big freeze is on.

Chillingly, in the example of YouTube’s censorship of Alex Jones, the newly self-appointed Ministry of Truth has justified their Orwellian attacks over an allegation of Jones calling the Parkland school shooting survivors “crisis actors”. However, it appears YouTube can provide no actual proof of this allegation because Jones says it never happened.

Good luck seeking out truth on the World Wide Web anymore as online fact-checkers, like Snopes and Politifact now rise to the very top of every controversial internet search to calm the natives with lies. Even as I type this, the internet is being scrubbed harder than a Denny’s restaurant floor after hours. But who is watching the watchers?

Like Dorothy and Toto in a Brave New World, neither are we in Kansas anymore. On the contrary, we are finally seeing behind the curtain and viewing the actual wizards who were lurking in the shadows for quite some time.

But will the general public wake up from the nightmare before it’s too late? Likely not.

In the impressionable days of my youth, I recall watching a version of “Titanic” on television where the survivors on that sinking vessel we’re trying to escape to the upper decks. On the way, in an interior hallway, they came across zombie-like passengers, in a trance-like state of shock, descending down the wrong way into the abyss. Those images haunted me at the time. They still do.

These are the days of cognitive dissonance: Of those holding on to a phony Russian election hacking narrative in order to maintain faith in a nation that would never elect a misogynistic reality TV star for president; and those who believe the same president will save the United States. Unfortunately, both dreams will have the same bad ending.

I hate to be the pessimist here, but even if Trump and his Mighty Deplorables can divert sideways from the forthcoming iceberg, the greater mass beneath the surface is far too vast; and we’re traveling too fast. Like the RMS Titanic, and those who once clawed on the exterior of Noah’s Ark in the pounding rain, America will soon sink to the ocean floor under waves raging over and upon the Sea of History. The laws of nature, like physics, will not be denied. It is a matter of mathematical certainty and the manifestation of time.

In the meantime, however, it’s obvious the Orwellian Authoritarians are fighting on the side of the morons as the lunatics run wild in the asylum-like ship of state.

So what can be done?

I don’t know, but I keep thinking of three personalities as recorded in the Bible. Each one chose differently in the headwinds of tumultuous times: Barabbas, Judas Iscariot, and Daniel.

Barrabbas the Fighter

In the raging waters of history that transitioned time from BC to AD, ancient Rome ruled the Old World with an iron fist. Naturally, there were freedom fighters at that time who bravely battled against the injustice. These warriors lived and died by the sword like fleas dreaming of defeating a barbaric behemothic beast. Barabbas of the Bible was one such soldier; a true man of action. His name indicates he was the son of an important man; yet Barabbas soon became infamous as a murderer, thief, and insurgent. In the eyes of the authoritarian state, and as written in the scriptures, he was guilty as charged. Before long, the Romans had their man. Barabbas stood condemned.

Likewise, in the minds of the globalists today, the nationalists who desire to pick up their allegorical and literal swords to defend their sovereignty already stand convicted. For example, this is realized by the Afghani’s who are currently waging guerrilla warfare and daily combating superior technology on their own turf. Are they winning, or merely surviving? Either way, they likely consider themselves fortunate to have the allied assistance of other entire rogue nation-states.

By the same token, what type of fighters will fill the ranks of the American Patriot Army? How will the early musters withstand drone strikes, let alone a superior trained and organized enemy with air superiority and higher caliber firepower equipped with night-vision technology? How will patriots organize? Where will they train? How will they acquire the provisions to reload and feed their civilian army? Where will their families live, and who guards them, as the fighters wage rural and urban warfare?

In my mind, as you can see, the Biblical example of Barabbas raises some questions. What are the best answers?

Judas the Sell Out

Anyone who has ever attended Sunday school, or a church sermon, has likely heard the Biblical narrative of Judas Iscariot.  He was one of the original twelve apostles and he later betrayed his leader when circumstances became grim. Throughout the millennia, Judas has become infamous as the Patron Saint of “If You Can’t Beat ‘Em, Join ‘Em & Make a Little Money Besides”.

In the mind of Judas, his betrayal made sense at the time; although it did not work out well for him in the end. He later realized the error of his ways and even tried to make amends by giving the money back. But it was too late. That train had left the station long before.

In my opinion, Judas Iscariot is the archetype of every minion who, against their own conscience, ever did, or will do, the criminal and immoral bidding of their Totalitarian State Masters. As for those without a conscience? They never stood a chance anyway. In every instance throughout civilized history, the arrogant fools, and the greedy betrayers, ended up getting what they deserved; even if not immediately.

Whether by pride, or perceived practicality, both fighters and sell-outs will make their choices and place their faith in the wisdom of their rationalizations.

Perhaps the mutual commonality between both Barabbas and Judas Iscariot was how they each thought they knew best when the inevitable concatenation of Providence, or destiny, had other plans.

Who knew. Can anyone ever know?

Daniel in Babylon

The Biblical Book of Daniel is a challenging study because, like the Book of Revelation, the narrative is not recorded in chronological order. Not being a theologian myself, I additionally scrutinized various other examinations written by those more well-versed than me (get it?).

According to Biblical and historical record, Daniel was a teenager when Nebuchadnezzar conquered Jerusalem in 606 BC. Daniel was well educated and fluent in both the Aramaic and Hebrew languages. Although, in his own language, his name translated to “God is Judge”, Daniel was taken to serve in the kingdom of Babylon where his name was changed to “Belteshazzar”, which means “Bel’s Prince”.

In captivity, however, Daniel and his friends kept their traditions and called each other by their given names. In other words they remembered who they were. They accepted their fate but only unto a certain point. For instance, they would work on behalf of the Babylonian Kingdom, but they would not bow down to worship the king; even under penalty of death. The Biblical record is clear that Daniel and his friends believed it was their God who established kingdoms and ruled over the rulers. The Christian theologians believe this carries into the New Testament as well, citing scriptures like Luke 2:1-3.

Daniel behaved as a loyal subject of the government, but only until the government tried to regulate his relations with his God. Then, he chose to obey the higher law instead of man’s law. In the New Testament, it appears the early Apostles concurred with that plan also, according to Acts 5:29.

Another interesting component in the Book of Daniel is that, unlike those who favored Barabbas and Caesar over Jesus near 6.4 centuries later, Daniel appeared to have a superior understanding of the times in which he lived. He believed it was foretold that the length of his nation’s captivity would last 70 years, so when that time was up –  the then elderly Daniel said a prayer to the same God that (he believed) enabled him to interpret dreams as a young man.

Interestingly enough, following that prayer, the Biblical record claims that God, in turn, provided mathematical equations to Daniel that predicted not only the exact times of Jesus, but into our present day as well. Of course, that is far beyond the purview of this writing.

What I do find most interesting, however, about Daniel’s prayer (Daniel 9:4-19) is not how he appears to fall on his proverbial sword rather than live by it, but in how he pleads for his nation to be restored for his God’s sake and not his own.

In the interest of moderate comparison, an appeal like Daniel’s could be distilled similar to as follows in a modern plea to either Providence, or destiny; depending upon one’s particular persuasion:

Please hear what I have to say. We were a nation once fortunate and wise; a nation that held the law in high esteem.  We had a republic but, unfortunately, we could not keep it. We lost it all because of what we did, as well as what we did not do. It was completely our fault.

We were not diligent. We were not honorable. We did not value liberty enough. We lied and we cheated. We corrupted ourselves and we let ourselves become corrupt.

As a result of both our shameful complacency and outright failures to uphold truth, honor, liberty, and justice, we have experienced, and will continue to experience, the devastating consequences.

Again, we fully deserve what has happened, what is happening now, and what will continue to happen, because of what we did, in addition to what we did not do.

It would be so great if our direction could be changed; if we could turn things around, and return our nation back to “good”. Perhaps this could be done now; not because we deserve it but, instead, for the sake of truth, honor, liberty, and justice, once more.

Can you imagine at this time, a unified modern America making such an appeal? Me neither.

So, I ask: How can a nation repair its defects and deficiencies unless it squarely, and humbly, faces them first?

Conclusion

No matter how one approaches today’s dire societal circumstances, it should be obvious we are not now facing Red-Coats arriving here by ships from across the sea. It then becomes a question whether or not a Revolutionary era call-to-arms would succeed. Our time is unique and the technological aspects of modern warfare, surveillance, and communications, are unprecedented in all of history.

Either Constitutional Law will be reestablished in America, and the treasonous cabal of Deep State minions are tried and convicted for their crimes –  or –  Trump and company turns out to be a minor speedbump on the final stretch towards the New World Order.

Can you see many other options?

Because, from my perspective, the United States is a massive debt-infused economic balloon about to burst, while plodding through minefields located in several hotspots around the globe that could start World War III, literally, with a sigh, and facing two national elections; this fall and in 2020.

If the economy deflates before either election, do you think Trump’s tax cuts and trade protectionism will be blamed in the minds and mouths of Orwell’s’ minions? Advertising works.

Regardless, even if Trump and the Deplorables pull off wins in the next two elections (in a smart and diligent effort to conserve ammo) what happens next? The Insane Snowflakes, the Military Industrial and Surveillance Complex, and the Orwellian Media Messengers will deliver mass chaos until the U.S. Constitution explodes into a thousand white and yellow fragments like the conch shell in William Golding’s “Lord of the Flies”.

But what if Trump and the Deplorables lose the next two elections? Will they abide with the new leadership after seeing the revealed widespread corruption at the highest levels of government and in the media? How do those genies go back in the bottle? In truth, they can’t.

In any scenario, the civil divorce will be ugly and America’s children will suffer.

Looking back, could there have been any other outcome? Given human nature, perhaps it was always inevitable.  Maybe it’s just time. Even if one wanted to fight, how can they know they’re not fighting against destiny or something bigger; battling against that which was unavoidable anyway?

What if America’s seemingly psychotic breakdown is more spiritual in nature? Because, right now, it does seem as if the Perception Puppets are dreaming a new reality; like an incantation.

That’s a far cry from a Daniel-type appeal. Could anything less save the nation anyway?

History: It repeats itself and is consistently ignored before it does so. Ignored are the elements that lead up to the repeated event, although they blossom akin to flowers right before the eyes. One of the problems is doubting it, the “doubting” that the event is happening…is really happening. One of the elements that leads to that doubt is the event transpires almost imperceptibly, with such incremental slowness that it is not recognized as a single event that is happening.

In this case we are talking about the conversion of our society in the United States to full-blown dictatorship or a complete loss of rights guaranteed under the Constitution…such a loss that eventually leads to a dictatorship or a tyrannical, oppressive government. History shows us, and we ignore it.

The Founding Fathers have been degraded and ridiculed by the new society the media and their Communist masters are creating. Their mortal weaknesses are upheld at every chance in substitution for the enormity of the sacrifices they made to form the basis for our nation’s government. The Constitution of the United States of America took more than 11 years to create.

These Communists would have you believe that the Founding Fathers were a pack of illiterate morons who could not control their own lascivious appetites…who owned slaves and were elitists. These Communists have been infiltrating the United States for a hundred years…destroying the moral fabric of our society by destroying the family. The Communists infiltrated our government and camouflaged themselves with the names “Liberal” or “Progressive,” or some (such as Bernie Sanders) declaring softly, “I’m a Socialist.”

The government is infested with Communists, plain and simple, and these Communist/Socialist traitors have denigrated our nation and sunk it into an abyss. Aided by their lackeys, such as the Cloward and Piven, Abbie Hoffman, Saul Alinsky, the Trumka’s and other union leaders…they further destroyed it by what they allowed. These Senators, Congressmen, Justices, and those in successive Presidential Administrations, bolstered by oligarchs and other magnates…what they did not foster or create, they allowed in the media and in Hollywood to be rammed into our eyes and ears.

These Communists have destroyed the family structure, the borders, the culture, the religious and social traditions, and the history that has given us identity and solidarity with one another.

The bottom line: J. Edgar Hoover and Joseph McCarthy had it right…100% right.

“Globalism” is not simply international trade or commerce. Globalism is global governance. Governance is rule.  Government is supposed to derive its powers from the consent of the governed…not by chicanery, lying, theft, or by bypassing the Constitution of the United States. Globalism is a “nice” way to phrase it…akin to a happy Kumbaya-singing globe of each different genotype holding hands with a smile in a conga line.

Hoover and McCarthy would have called globalism what it is: socialism on the “soft” side, and Communism on the concrete, reality side.

The aim of these Communists is to have one world government. To do this, they must first destroy the United States.  In order to do this, it must be “deep” battle, in every echelon…from the Pastoral Initiative teams (religious collaborators and snitches who sell out their congregations for the scraps from the government table), to the illegal aliens crossing our borders, to the planned siphoning and sale of our natural resources to the Chinese, Russians, and other foreigners, to the crafting of laws that enable the UN and the rest of the globe to gain more ground in the U.S. (such as the transfer of Internet control to ICANN, a foreign-owned corporation with a Beijing headquarters).

Militarily we’ve been downsized, with the quality of our servicemembers “diluted” with behaviors such as homosexuality and lesbianism being permitted, as well as “transgender” servicemembers and women placed into combat roles. Our combat-seasoned officers and noncommissioned officers in command positions have been replaced with politicians. The most effective weapons in our arsenals (such as the SR-71, the A-10, and the Tomahawk, for example) have been halted in production and/or mothballed, as well as rendered ineffective with a lack of parts or maintenance. The Air Force is severely short of pilots. We are overfunded but without enough return on our investment.

Economically, the Petrodollar has been on its last breath for years, and the breathing is agonal. We are being eclipsed by newer markets and new alliances. Cryptocurrencies are a scam that will eventually be used to control and keep track of everyone’s wealth when all the governments nationalize it. Even worse than Fiat currency, it doesn’t even exist except electronically and with nothing to back it whatsoever.

Akin to “Quatloos” out of the Star Trek Episode, “The Gamesters of Triskelion.”

To complete the “fundamental transformation,” as it was termed by Obama, there must be mass unrest…civil unrest and potential racial strife and riots. The perceived differences between people are being exacerbated by the media, by the politicians, and by the socially-constructed brain patterns of the youth…dissenting for no reason except to disagree. With no motive other than the “causes” they have been herded and manipulated to uphold.

The greatest example of this was the NFL kneeling initiated by Colin Kaepernick…to protest injustice that did not even exist. The “test program” backfired, because the NFL and the powers that back them underestimated the populace…that still has enough nationalistic pride and care for the country that they wouldn’t tolerate it. Yes, every avenue is being tested…crafted to see how they will handle the population when the big goal is finally attempted…the most necessary item in the plans to destroy the United States.

They must have the guns.

They must. They cannot collapse the United States and subjugate her to the rest of the world…make her a part of the Communist One-World government until they have the guns. We are seeing this materialize. Look at what the President of the United States has said! That guns can be confiscated without due process of law, and in complete violation of the Constitution. The states are already doing it: with legislation, and by executive order…they’re going after the guns.

Donald Trump’s Gun Comments All But Ensure His Defeat In 2020

Hopefully, the comments by president Donald Trump are a wakeup call for all Americans, as his statements should have all but sealed his fate in 2020.  Look forward to an overly leftist dictator for president in the next election cycle, although it won’t be much different than how Trump is acting now.

Just spewing the nonsense about confiscating law-abiding citizens guns before due process should be enough to send Trump packing in 2020.  The way Trump is acting, we might as well have elected Hillary Clinton, or just given Barack Obama a third term.  Unfortunately, people don’t seem to understand that we aren’t free and the government will do what it wants regardless of the rules it laid out for itself in the Constitution.

Laura Ingraham even tweeted that should he start coming for fundamental rights, he won’t have to worry about being reelected in 2020.

In the White House meeting with lawmakers of both parties, Trump endorsed multiple new gun control measures, including confiscating guns before due process, breaking with Republican lawmakers and throwing his support behind some proposals the National Rifle Association (NRA) opposes.

“I like taking the guns early like in this crazy man’s case that just took place in Florida … to go to court would have taken a long time,” Trump said at a meeting with lawmakers on school safety and gun violence. “Take the guns first, go through due process second,” Trump said. That statement is nothing less than Trump declaring he’s a tyrant and the comment itself proudly declares Trump as an egregious violator of basic fundamental human rights.

But after the Las Vegas shooting, SHTFPlan warned not to get too comfortable with your rights based on Trump’s history of gun comments.

Back in 2000, Trump laid out his views on gun control. In a page-long explanation of his stance on guns in his book The America We Deserve.  Trump assessed the differences between the two main political parties’ gun policies. He called what he said was the Democratic party‘s desire to “confiscate” guns “a dumb idea” and said Republicans “refuse even limited restrictions,” noting that they “walk the NRA line.” Instead, he cast his stance as something of a middle ground. “I generally oppose gun control, but I support the ban on assault weapons and I also support a slightly longer waiting period to purchase a gun,” he wrote.  And if that isn’t evidenced enough, Trump also agreed with Barack Obama, one of the most anti-gun presidents in modern history, after the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary school in Newtown, Connecticut. –SHTFPlan

Maybe this is the wakeup call we all need to prove the government doesn’t care about our rights. It doesn’t matter who is elected, or what we expect them to do. Trump’s comments should be raising all kinds of red flags right now, and we don’t want to say we told you so, but, we told you so:

Dismissing Trump’s statements outright is simply for those who don’t know what his stance on guns was BEFORE he campaigned for the presidency and how wishy-washy he can be on the issue. Those who do know, are not being so calm about his comments.  Of course, there’s no real reason to be up in arms (no pun intended) just yet, because nothing has been proposed, but it isn’t hard to see it popping up, and soon. –SHTFPlan, October 2017

This hasn’t been a government for or by the people for over 100 years (if not more) and it’s only getting worse.  Those in power see themselves as rulers and don’t care about anything except the expansion of their own authority over others. “Take The Guns First” – Trump Breaks With Republicans Over Gun-Control Plan

Update: US Senator Ben Sasse (R-NE). a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, issued the following statement regarding President Trump’s comments today on due process and the Second Amendment:

“Strong leaders don’t automatically agree with the last thing that was said to them. We have the Second and due process of law for a reason.

We’re not ditching any Constitutional protections simply because the last person the President talked to today doesn’t like them.“

President Trump told a group of lawmakers that they must do something to keep guns away from mentally ill individuals – even if that means raising the minimum age for rifle ownership to 21, Bloomberg reports.

His remarks appeared to contradict a CNN report from earlier in the week, which quoted anonymous White House aides saying Trump would soon walk back his support for raising the age limit.

But on Wednesday, in what the New York Times characterized as a “shocking” break with his Republican Congressional allies, Trump told lawmakers during a televised meeting in the Cabinet Room that easing gun owners’ ability to carry concealed weapons across state lines, a provision of the House-passed gun bill and the NRA’s top legislative priority, should be part of a separate bill, a strategy favored by Democrats. The House bill combining background check provisions with the loosening of concealed carry rules has stalled in the Senate after passing the House. Instead, Trump said he supports the proposal from Sens. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., and Pat Toomey, R-Pa., which he says is best positioned to pass. Sen. Amy Klobuchar agreed that the Manchin-Toomey bill is a “good place to start.”

“It would be so beautiful to have one bill that everyone could support,” Mr. Trump said as Senator Dianne Feinstein, Democrat of California, sat smiling to his left. “It’s time that a president stepped up.”

Per the Times, Trump repeatedly suggested that the dynamics surrounding the gun control debate had shifted, in part, because of his presence in the Oval Office – a remark that earned him cheers from Democrats.

Trump predicted his plan would pass with broad support, suggesting that he plans to win over a sizable chunk of the Democratic caucus.

Trump told his audience that raising the ownership age is “something you have to think about,” Trump said. He added that “people don’t bring it up” because the NRA opposes the policy. Trump had initially claimed that he would convince the NRA to go along with it.

As the Hill pointed out, he also said he supports confiscating guns from mentally ill individuals, a position vociferously opposed by Republicans.

“I like taking the guns early like in this crazy man’s case that just took place in Florida … to go to court would have taken a long time,” Trump said at a meeting with lawmakers on school safety and gun violence.

“Take the guns first, go through due process second,” Trump said.

He also said mentally ill people shouldn’t have guns.

“A lot of people are saying ‘oh you shouldn’t be saying that’,” Trump said. “But I don’t want mentally ill people having guns.”

To be sure, states don’t need to enact the exact same restrictions, Trump said. But “what does have to be the same is the background checks and all of the data.”

Per Reuters, Trump urged lawmakers to pass a comprehensive gun control bill as the national conversation surrounding gun control – a conversation that was triggered by a shooting at Marjory Douglas Tillman High School in Parkland Fla. The shooting left 14 students and 3 faculty dead, and more than a dozen injured.

Rebutting accusations that he is beholden to the NRA, Trump added that gun lovers have less power over him than lawmakers.

Earlier today, Dick’s Sporting Goods said it is “going to take a stand” and announced it would permanently ban sales of the AR-15 – the rifle used by Parkland shooter Nikolas Cruz and several other mass shooters – from its stores.

The meeting with lawmakers was his fourth “free-flowing gun policy discussion” since the Valentine’s Day massacre in Florida, according to Reuters.

“We’re going to come up with some ideas,” Trump said.

“Hopefully we can put those ideas in a very bipartisan bill. It would be so beautiful to have one bill that everybody can support, as opposed to – you know – 15 bills, everybody’s got their own bill.”

Seven senators and representatives were invited to Wednesday’s session. The group included Democrats and Republicans who, according to Reuters, have diverse views on gun control.

Republican Senators John Cornyn of Texas and Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania, who have proposed legislation to fix holes in the background check system for gun buyers, and their Democratic co-sponsors.

Trump also said he backs Cornyn’s bill while urging senators to add more items to the bill to make it more comprehensive.

Gun Rights And Mental Health Restrictions: A Slippery Slope

In the wake of the Parkland shooting, as in the wake of any mass shooting, there has been a scramble by various political groups to place blame for the violence. Everyone is looking for the source of the evil that causes these events, to little avail. In most cases, at least when it comes to the extreme Left, the blame is placed squarely on guns themselves. This is obviously an absurd notion. Placing blame on the particular tool used in the crime does not solve the problem of the criminal and what led him to the deed. Whether or not the tool made his crime “easier” is irrelevant to the greater disturbance at hand.

After years of debate and failed legislation, leftists have discovered that resistance to the incremental destruction of the 2^nd Amendment is insurmountable, and a change in narrative has occurred. Finally, we are talking more about mental health issues and a little less about guns. This is a win for gun rights, however, there is a danger that needs to be addressed.

First, while mental health is being presented in the mainstream media more and more as a central issue in mass shootings, I find it interesting that the problem of psychotropic pharmaceuticals has been conveniently ignored. In a large number of non-terrorist related shooting incidents, assailants have been subjected to long term psychotropic drug use. Why has this factor not been addressed?

Well, consider the fact that Big Pharma has spent at least $2.5 billion over the past ten years lobbying in Washington D.C. Compare this to the NRA lobbying budget, which in comparison was a paltry $20 million over the past 10 years according to OpenSecret.

This should put into perspective the idiocy of anti-gun advocates and their obsession with the “nefarious” NRA. The influence of the pharmaceutical industry is almost universally ignored when it comes to the debate on gun violence, yet their lobbying efforts dwarf all others. All this despite the fact that psychotropic drugs are proven to influence violent and even homicidal behavior in people.

Second, the focus on mental health in terms of the Parkland shooting seems to be glossing over the vast failings of the FBI and local law enforcement in following up and investigating the dozens of warnings they received about Nikolas Cruz.  As I outlined in my recent article ‘“Mass shootings will never negate the need for gun rights,” gun grabbers love to trot out legislation on increased background check restrictions and closing the “gun show loophole,” yet none of their suggested solutions would have stopped the Parkland tragedy from taking place.

The success of Nikolas Cruz’s attack was due to the abject failure of the FBI and law enforcement, NOT the failure of background checks. Had they done their jobs, Cruz never would have been able to purchase a firearm to begin with. I find it rather ironic that gun grabbers constantly argue that average citizens do not need guns for self defense because they have law enforcement to rely on, yet it was exactly the stupidity or inaction of law enforcement that opened the door wide for Cruz to (allegedly) kill.

Clearly, the so-called “authorities” are not trustworthy enough to carry out the job of protecting us all from active shooters. The only people capable of stopping an active shooter in a fast and practical manner are armed citizens on the scene at the moment the attack begins.

Third, and most important, is the issue of mental health parameters and how they will be used to restrict gun rights. The ATF already has rules regarding people “adjudicated as mentally defective,” which includes people ruled a danger to themselves and others by a “court, board or commission or other lawful authority.” Now, these guidelines themselves can be rather broad, but abuse by government so far has been limited (though some instances have been egregious). If the Trump administration seeks to broaden the guidelines even further, then we may have a problem.

Take for example the unacceptable abuse of military veterans and their 2^nd Amendment rights by the Bureau of Veterans Affairs. The VA has in recent years placed restrictions on thousands of veterans, negating their gun rights without due process and without oversight. And all of this has been predicated on the claim that some veterans are “mentally defective” based on dubious parameters, including whether or not they let their spouse handle household finances.

This is what I am talking about when I bring up the dangers behind “mental illness” and gun rights. WHO gets to decide who is mentally ill and why they are mentally ill? Will this be done by a jury of our peers? Or, by an unaccountable and faceless bureaucracy? Will the guidelines for mental illness be strict and specific, or will they be broad and wide open to interpretation? Once a person has been labeled mentally defective, will they have the ability to appeal the decision, or will the label haunt them for the rest of their lives?

Gun rights activists should not put blind faith in the Trump administration to ensure that new mental health legislation will remain fair to the 2^nd Amendment. Unfortunately, Trump is on record as supporting the “No Fly List” gun control bill. This type of bill is something liberty activists opposed vehemently under the Obama administration because it allows the government to erase the gun rights of almost anyone without due process merely by placing them on an arbitrary watch list. A list, I will remind readers, that is a matter of national security and not subject to public overview.

Would a list of “mentally defective people” fall under the same Orwellian standards?

What about the new and disturbing designation by the psychiatric community of oppositional defiance disorder? This absurd “illness” is being applied to people as young as pre-school age and suggests that adults with the illness often display resistance to authority figures and government.

What if your opposition is not to “authority” in general, but to CORRUPT authority specifically? Is this mental illness, or the very epitome of sanity?

In the Soviet Union, it was all too common for the government to abuse “mental illness” designations as a means to silence and imprison political dissent. Anti-government agitation and propaganda were criminalized under Soviet legal codes, and these codes were frequently applied in conjunction with the psychiatric system. This was sometimes referred to as “punitive medicine.”

The problem with government and psychiatric institutions joining forces to determine constitutional rights for individuals should be obvious. Government should be as separate from the medical establishment as possible yet they are often intertwined to terrible effect. If mental illness is not adjudicated by a jury of ones peers and with extreme oversight by gun rights groups, then abuse of such laws by government is almost guaranteed. The temptation to use backdoor bureaucracy in a totalitarian manner to underhandedly confiscate guns and sabotage the 2^nd Amendment will be high.

It is also important to remember that even if you have placed full and blind faith in the Trump administration, there are no guarantees that the constitutional rules we allow him to bend today will not be completely broken by the next president in line. Gun rights are paramount to a free society. Without them, governments almost always revert to increased socialism and “tyranny creep” while violent crime continues or increases as the citizenry is left defenseless. Mental illness AND psychotropic drugs need to be taken seriously in terms of gun violence, but it is also vital that we do not allow the issue of mental health to be exploited as a subversive means to undermine our freedoms.

The Plot to Overthrow the President and Enslave the People…by the U.S. Government

With everything you’ve seen thus far from the State of the Union address, the Democrat-Progressives, and Left-leaning Republicans are arraying themselves against the President. Never have so many movie stars, oligarchs, and media mouthpieces threatened the President of the United States with bodily harm (veiled, or overtly) without repercussions. Soon the FISA memorandum will be made public. The makings of a true civil war are formulating before our very eyes.

What this means is that we have a government that is divided, but the division is not an even split. Most of the politicos (we don’t have representation in the United States Congress anymore) want to see complete control over the people with individual rights removed. They want this. For proof? It was a Republican (Rep. Bob Goodlatte, R-VA) who introduced H.R. 4760, with a “harmless and patriotic” title for the public to gobble down with a smile: The Securing America’s Future Act of 2018. Wonder how much they paid “Smilin’ Bob” to introduce that one?A harmless, patriotic act in our national interests, yes?

No. Securing the citizenry under the “lock and key” of a National ID Card with biometric data and complete storage of individual records back to the time of birth.

The Fourth Amendment of the Constitution: it will be gone with “the stroke of a pen…. the law of the land,” to paraphrase Paul Begala. Left out are the words “kind of neat” he finished the statement with. That is because it is not neat, nor will the whole situation end neatly. The President vowed to drain the swamp, and now he (and any who support his policies) will face an attack by the Deep State: The Military Industrial Complex (MIC), the Oligarchy (yes, of the ilk of the Zuckerberg’s, Soros’s, Gates, and Buffets), the Obama holdovers (too numerous to count) currently in the administration, and Republican 5^th columnists masquerading as conservatives but in reality, Marxist-Totalitarians.

This “Deep State Army” are joining forces to topple the current administration, return the “paradigm shift” to the left at full speed, and bring the U.S. down…toward a global governance. Joining hands with them are the Democratic party entire, and all the liberal Democrat citizen-puppets, along with an army of clueless idiots who believe they are obliged to abandon conservative values for the sake of “unifying” with the liberals.

This bill H.R. 4760 is a “backlash” of the mandatory clause of the Affordable Health Care Law being overturned: the law is now “toothless,” as it is no longer mandatory to have it. This poses a problem for these globalists. Now, here we go on the bandwagon again in another direction…another parade…this time to “Secure America’s Future,” by making sure [that means through force…all authority is enforced and maintained with the barrel of a firearm] everyone…citizen, illegal alien, or “guest” worker/visitor…has a National ID card with biometric data.

The State cannot be beaten: Not unless the people either remove the politicians and reform the policies, or (if that isn’t possible) they must revolt. The United States (with this bill 4760) intends to hire more than 25,000 additional border patrol agents. Do you know why?

It is to keep the taxpayer-serfs in, not to keep the illegals out.

The State has unlimited resources, and the bureaucracy and infrastructure to deploy those resources. The State has federalized the National Guard units, the local and state law enforcement, and militarized all of them with weapons, equipment, APC’s (armored personnel carriers), and millions of rounds of ammunition. The State has multiplied itself into so many federal agencies that it is impossible to keep track of all of them. The State has armed all federal employees to the teeth, even those originally comical “Keystone Cop” organizations, such as the Social Security Administration, the Motor Vehicle Administration, and the Post Office.

There is a precept that has not been mentioned. There is something the Deep State wishes, and yet is terrified of all the same. They desire a war with North Korea. It would be a simple matter afterward to round up and control all the survivors, especially as such a thing could be “timed” to appear spontaneous, yet when the Deep State had prepared with ample warning…as they will precipitate it.

The terrifying part to them? If it is an EMP (Electromagnetic Pulse) attack, it will render the surveillance grid inoperable for at least a time. They do not wish to lose the surveillance net they have been “crafting” all these years with the help of Facebook, Verizon, Google, and the other companies of the MIC. The chipmunk-toothed, squinty-eyed sixty-pluses with soft hands and full bellies…the CEO’s and oligarchs who have sequestered armies of military and security personnel to protect them…they will be in bunkers when it begins, sipping on a 21-year-old Portwood Balvenie.

Former Congressman Ron Paul has launched a campaign against this new House bill. Here is an excerpt from the referenced article:

“The biometric identification information on the cards, Paul warns, which could include fingerprints, retinal scans, or scans of veins on the back of hands, could easily be used as a tracking device. Paul noted that the law would require all employers to purchase an ID scanner to verify the cards, and he fears that it would be only a matter of time that ID scans would be required for routine purchases. The national ID card, the former congressman recalls, was a key portion of the failed “comprehensive immigration reform” bills both parties tried to pass during the Obama administration.

“Now, using the momentum behind Trump’s tough talk on immigration and border security, I’m afraid the statists believe the best way to finally enact their National ID scheme is by promoting their bill on Capitol Hill as a ‘DACA fix’ while they sell it to the GOP base as a border ‘security’ measure,” he writes.”

As you can see, this is serious. The Deep State is playing for keeps. The big question remains: “How will the President combat and defeat these forces arrayed against him, if his stance is for real, and he’s not just playing a part as a “prop” in the unfolding battle?” We must take that viewpoint as a possibility as well: that he may just be “making it look good…kicking and fighting,” although he’s really on their side. Hopefully he’s on our side. We haven’t had anyone on “our” side…the side of “We the People,” in a long time. One thing is for sure: the fight is just getting started, and it’s going to be a long one without a clear-cut victory for quite some time, if we do win.

Liberals Freak Out As House Approves Nationwide Concealed Carry Reciprocity

The House Judiciary Committee voted 19-11 late Wednesday for the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act of 2017. This bill would amend the federal criminal code to allow the concealed carry of guns across state lines for all concealed carry permit holders.

Should this bill become a law, states will not be able to impose their individual requirements for a concealed carry license on those who have a license to conceal in a different state. The left is already terrified.

Republicans rejected Democratic amendments that would ban violent offenders from qualifying under the law (because violent offenders cannot obtain a concealed carry permit anyway), as well as a change that would have prevented forum shopping; which means a New York resident barred from obtaining a concealed carry permit could instead send away for one from somewhere else. The bill, which has more than 200 co-sponsors, almost all Republicans, will now head to the floor of the 435-member House. A similar bill, with 38 Republican co-sponsors, is pending before the Senate Judiciary Committee.

All this bill does is extend the right to carry a concealed firearm IF one is licensed to do so in all 50 states, regardless of the state that issued the license.  There isn’t really a reason for liberals to freak out, yet they are.

A qualified individual must: (1) be eligible to possess, transport, or receive a firearm under federal law; (2) carry a valid photo identification document; and (3) carry a valid concealed carry permit issued by, or be eligible to carry a concealed firearm in, his or her state of residence. – H.R. 38

“This would end abuses in anti-gun states like New York and New Jersey and allow law-abiding concealed carriers to exercise their rights nationwide with peace of mind,” the NRA website states. “[The bill] would not, as some critics claim, affect how states issue their own concealed carry permits.”

U.S. Representative Richard Hudson, the North Carolina Republican who introduced the legislation, called the bill “welcome progress” in efforts to expand and protect access to firearms. 

The few states that target law-abiding concealed carriers from other jurisdictions for criminal prosecution consider the bearing of arms in public for self-defense a privilege reserved for the elite, rather than a constitutional right. When states trample on constitutional rights, Congress has the authority and responsibility to act.  –NRA-ILA

This is a small shred of hope for gun owners who seek to exercise their rights regardless of whether or not they cross an arbitrary line.

US Lawmakers Seek to Throw Citizens in Prison for Decades if They Boycott Israel

One of the most fundamental rights in a nation logically consistent in crying freedom is the ability to boycott — a company, entity, church, or, in the case of the Boycott, Divest, and Sanction Movement against Israel, an entire nation — in protest of perceived transgressions to force through the wallet reforms which might not otherwise be accomplished.

Boycotts have indeed managed the seemingly impossible — SeaWorld, for example, ultimately had to shutter its orca captivity and breeding programs after the documentary, Blackfish, depicting horrendous, inhumane conditions, jerked heartstrings and ignited a backlash boycott, sending profits to the brink of an abyss.

Now, an alarmingly large group of politicians seek to strip American citizens of the right to this highly-effective method of protest — only when employed against the nation of Israel — with violators facing decades behind bars and stiff financial penalties.

New York Senators Chuck Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand join 41 other members of Congress championing proposed legislation, which would make literal criminals of any Americans boycotting Israel — a brazen, if not explicit, attack on the BDS Movement, incidentally exploding in popularity worldwide as the belligerent nation continues its occupation of Palestinian lands.

Laying down the irrational, inflammatory gauntlet before the Senate this week, Schumer opined,

“Anti-Zionism, unfortunately, continues to bubble up in many different forms. There is perhaps no greater example than the pernicious effort to delegitimize Israel through boycotts, divestment, and sanctions. The BDS movement is a deeply biased campaign that I would say, in similar words to Mr. Macron, is a ‘reinvented form of anti-Semitism’ because it seeks to impose boycotts on Israel and not on any other nation.”

But critics of BDS should absolutely take heed — it is the First Amendment, not political views on Israel, at the crux of this dangerous legislation.

“Under the terms of the bill, a pair of U.S. laws that prohibit U.S. citizens from supporting a boycott request from a foreign government against an ally of the United States would be updated to specifically prohibit Americans from supporting international boycott efforts against Israel,” reports the Gothamist.

According to the American Civil Liberties Union — which immediately castigated the bill for further shredding the First Amendment — violators “would be subject to a minimum civil penalty of $250,000 and a maximum criminal penalty of $1 million and 20 years in prison.”

Despite clarifying it “takes no position for or against the effort to boycott Israel or any foreign country,” the ACLU implored, “The impacts of the legislation would be antithetical to free speech protections enshrined in the First Amendment and we urged members to oppose the legislation in the absence of significant revisions.”

Worse, “it would punish individuals for no reason other than their political beliefs” — a footnote critics of BDS would do well to heed in determining their own position on the proposed legislation or others similar. To enact law punitive of one’s political adversaries is to invite they do the same — or, more accurately, proves to the State rights can be erased if packaged appropriately.

Ire over Israel’s enactment of what has consistently been deemed by academia and analysis a brutal apartheid — mirroring human rights abuses, atrocities, and blatant injustices of the South African regime responsible for the political detainment of Nelson Mandela — bolsters the numbers of BDS adherents in the U.S. and elsewhere.

“The state of Israel maintains a military occupation of territories that were assigned to Palestinians by international law. Palestinian residents of the occupied West Bank are subjected to the discriminatory rule of a foreign army, while their Israeli neighbors enjoy the full rights of citizenship,” writes Eric Levitz for the Daily Intelligencer.

Make no mistake, this bill came to the fruition as Israel’s appalling persecution of Palestinians on their land has increasingly become the subject of protest by activists and advocates — who turn to the successful BDS campaign as a legitimate, nonviolent means to convey the message.

Pro-Israel fervor in the United States Congress usually bears the hallmarks of AIPAC — the infamous lobbying group — and this bill is no exception.

Indeed, as The Intercept noted, it appears an embarrassing number of the bill’s signatories did so simply for its AIPAC seal-of-approval (making felons of Americans choosing to protest a foreign nation through refusing business serves who, exactly?), rather than taking time to actually read the draft.

However this monstrosity gained congressional popularity, it must be loudly quashed and relegated to the dustbin of rights-crushing, ill-conceived ideas — which is the snuggest-fitting definition of the Anti-Boycott Israel bill.

“[T]he bill would punish businesses and individuals based solely on their point of view,” the outraged ACLU admonished. “Such a penalty is in direct violation of the First Amendment.”

Such a penalty sadly also seems a typical evisceration of freedom in this corrupt and encroaching authoritarian State.
