Principal Removes Student Carrying Sign Saying ‘Guns Don’t Kill People, People Kill People’

Everyone is becoming aware of the fact that there is no longer any freedom of speech on any public school campus in the United States. But supporting freedom and liberty and advocating for less government intrusion in our lives is met with hostility and often worse, as one student carrying a pro-gun sign found out.

On Wednesday, a student at a high school in Minnesota joined his classmates who were participating in the National School Walkout and was singled out and removed by his principal for holding a sign that said, “Guns Don’t Kill People, People Kill People,” reported The Daily Wire.

Most of the altercation was captured on video, and posted to Facebook, although it isn’t seen what happens both before and after the principal approaches the singled out student. Kenny MacDonald, a student at New Prague High School in New Prague, Minnesota posted the short video, saying:

Kids at our school today walked out, in honor of the 17 students killed in Florida. Students held signs that said, “Arm our teachers” they had two signs. A student walked out without saying a word peacefully put up his sign which said “guns don’t kill people, people kill people” he was escorted off the property by our principal and threatened to be put into a police car. This violates the first amendment and makes me sick that they can do whatever they want. Please make this go viral. Location: New Prague High school, Minnesota.

Again, it bears mentioning that the short video does not show the student acting up or causing a scene, only the principal removing him. What happened before the filming began is entirely speculative.

The goal was to make sure this video goes viral, letting it be known that there are many out there who want not only gun rights destroyed in favor of a more powerful government (because that’s never ended badly before ever, right?) while also stripping your right to free speech away.  Liberty and freedom shouldn’t be taboo. No matter how hard anyone in the government, the media, or leftists try to spin it, freedom is not extreme.  Controlling others is extreme.

 

Antifa Thugs Attack Peaceful Right-Wing Demonstrators

On Sunday, the latest incident occurred in Berkeley, CA, normally a peaceful city, home to UC Berkeley’s campus, noted for student activism.

In the 1960s, anti-war and civil rights activists inspired Berkeley’s Free Speech Movement (FSM), beginning in 1964. UC Berkeley students protested against banned on-campus political activity.

They demanded academic and free expression rights. Unprecedented student activism followed.

Here’s how the Washington Post explained what happened on Sunday. Headlining “Black-clad antifa members attack peaceful right-wing demonstrators in Berkeley,” it said:

“Their faces hidden behind black bandannas and hoodies, about 100 anarchists and antifa— “anti-fascist” — members barreled into a protest Sunday afternoon in Berkeley’s Martin Luther King Jr. Civic Center Park.”

“Jumping over plastic and concrete barriers, the group melted into a larger crowd of around 2,000 that had marched peacefully throughout the sunny afternoon for a “Rally Against Hate’ gathering.”

Violence erupted. Antifa extremists attacked peaceful pro-Trump marchers, beating and throwing bottles at them, screaming “Fascists go home” while police stood down.

One person on the scene tweeted “Berkeley was a set up. The police said they would protect the attendees and did nothing. Total stand down like Charlottesville.”

Another tweeted “(p)olice have completely disappeared from #Berkeley. People getting beaten up. Red flags being waved in the air.”

At least two people were hospitalized, over a dozen arrests made on charges ranging from assault with a deadly weapon, obstructing police, and city code violations.

Who was arrested with police failing to confront Antifa thugs? They’re polar opposite progressive left wing activists, supporting peace, equity and justice, deploring violence in all forms.

Who’s supporting extremist hordes unleashed to commit violence and chaos? Anyone showing up mask-clad with implements for troublemaking can easily manufacture it.

So-called anti-fascist elements appear part of a diabolical plot to oust a sitting president.

The more violence they incite, the easier it is to blame Trump for what’s happening. He warrants plenty of criticism for his deplorable policies, not for what others do opposing him.

Sabotage: Obama Is Commanding An Army Of 30,000 Anti-Trump Activists From His Home 2 Miles From The White House

Throughout American history, most ex-presidents have chosen to move away from Washington D.C. once their terms have ended, and the vast majority of them have tried very hard not to interfere with their successors. Unfortunately, Barack Obama has opted for the exact opposite approach. His new home is less than two miles from the White House, and from this “command center” he will be directing the activities of an army of more than 30,000 anti-Trump activists. In fact, as you will see below, this army has already been heavily involved in many of the protests and riots that have been popping up around the nation in recent days. “Sabotage” is a very strong word, but it is becoming apparent that Obama intends to do all that he can to sabotage the Trump administration, and that is very bad news for the American people.

Last Saturday, the New York Post ran an excellent article by author Paul Sperry that was entitled “How Obama is scheming to sabotage Trump’s presidency”. In that piece, Sperry actually accuses Obama of setting up “a shadow government” to oppose Trump…

When former President Barack Obama said he was “heartened” by anti-Trump protests, he was sending a message of approval to his troops. Troops? Yes, Obama has an army of agitators — numbering more than 30,000 — who will fight his Republican successor at every turn of his historic presidency. And Obama will command them from a bunker less than two miles from the White House.

In what’s shaping up to be a highly unusual post-presidency, Obama isn’t just staying behind in Washington. He’s working behind the scenes to set up what will effectively be a shadow government to not only protect his threatened legacy, but to sabotage the incoming administration and its popular “America First” agenda.

The “army of agitators” that Sperry is talking about is actually a nationwide network of “community organizers” known as “Organizing for Action”.

If you go to the official website of Organizing for Action, you will see that there is a big picture of Obama right in the background of the homepage. Organizing for Action “grew out of Barack Obama’s first presidential campaign”, and it claims to have 250 local chapters around the nation.

If Hillary Clinton had won the election, Organizing for Action would almost certainly have faded from the spotlight, but now that Trump is in the White House they are rapidly raising money and gearing up for war.

And one of the first things the organization is trying to do is to save Obamacare. The following comes from NBC News…

To defend Obamacare, the group says it has planned 400 health care-focused events in 42 states this year with partners that include mainline liberal groups, like the Center for American Progress and Planned Parenthood, as well those from the progressive wing, like MoveOn.org.

OFA says 20,000 people have used their tool to call senators’ offices to urge them not to repeal Obamacare and says one million supporters have already taken action with OFA.

The goal is to further hinder the already stalling momentum around repeal the Affordable Care Act.

But Organizing for Action is not just about peaceful political action. In fact, according to Sperry some of the anti-Trump marches that Organizing for Action helped put together actually “turned into riots”…

Far from sulking, OFA activists helped organize anti-Trump marches across US cities, some of which turned into riots. After Trump issued a temporary ban on immigration from seven terror-prone Muslim nations, the demonstrators jammed airports, chanting: “No ban, no wall, sanctuary for all!”

Run by old Obama aides and campaign workers, federal tax records show “nonpartisan” OFA marshals 32,525 volunteers nationwide. Registered as a 501(c)(4), it doesn’t have to disclose its donors, but they’ve been generous. OFA has raised more than $40 million in contributions and grants since evolving from Obama’s campaign organization Obama for America in 2013.

So many people have been pointing the finger at George Soros for funding and organizing anti-Trump activists, but the truth is that Organizing for Action is perhaps even more involved than Soros is.

And Barack Obama is guiding and directing Organizing for Action from his brand new compound less than two miles from the White House.

The ironic thing about all of this is that Obama is currently building a very tall brick wall around his compound while at the same time his army of activists is highly criticizing Trump for wanting to build a border wall to protect the United States from unwanted intruders.

If Obama doesn’t like walls, he should tear down his own wall first.

Another form of sabotage against the Trump administration is coming from Obama loyalists that are still embedded within various government agencies.

According to Trump, those loyalists are responsible for the very disturbing leaks that have been happening…

President Donald Trump pointed the finger at Obama administration holdovers at the White House and National Security Council for leaking information about private phone conversations he had with leaders of Australia and Mexico.

“It’s a disgrace that they leaked because it’s very much against our country,” Trump told Fox News Sunday, accusing “Obama people” in civil service positions for the leaks. “It’s a very dangerous thing for this country,” he added noting that these individuals were still being sought out and replaced.

Needless to say, after eight years under Obama many government agencies are absolutely crawling with people that are still very loyal to him. Trump needs to do a major housecleaning, and that is going to take some time.

What is going on between Obama and Trump is a microcosm of what is happening to society as a whole.

Obama and his loyalists have totally bought into the radical progressive agenda of the global elite, and Donald Trump and his followers are very much against it.

I don’t know that it is possible for there to be much compromise between the two sides, and so that means that more conflict is ahead.

The election of Donald Trump has fired up the radical left like never before, and I believe that the protests and riots that we have seen so far are only just the beginning.

And if things go really bad under Trump, it is very easy to imagine widespread civil unrest erupting all over the nation.

Unfortunately, throughout all of this we are going to be having an ex-president sitting less than two miles from the White House guiding and directing the anti-Trump forces every step of the way.

NYPD Arrest Man for Filming — Delete His Video, But This Footage Survived

America’s new army, determined to hold police officers accountable, are armed with video cameras. And for some police officers, the sight of activists filming them, is apparently too much to bear. Instead of being relaxed and going about their daily business, many officers of the peace feel the need to threaten the citizens they’re sworn to protect. As The Free Thought Project has consistently reported, filming cops is not a crime, but some police officers obviously disagree.

A video was uploaded this week of an arrest which took place last summer. Citizen activists known as the Copwatch Patrol Unit were in Times Square, attempting to exercise their freedoms to film police officers in public, when they came across Officer Michael Ashford.

The NYPD officer didn’t take kindly to having his image recorded and began to ask the activists to show their identification. Producing none, and not backing away from the officer, Ashford felt he had to make an arrest for what he called “obstructing governmental administration” — for not showing Ashford their ID. He chose to arrest Roy Beckford, a Black man.  The charges were later changed to a disorderly conduct summons, and was signed off on by a Sergeant Tanakur Chowdhury, but was later dismissed just before Beckford’s court date.

According to the caption from the Youtube video, “Roy Beckford, an activist with the group Copwatch Patrol Unit, says that NYPD Officer Michael Ashford arrested him simply for filming him using his personal cellphone on the job, a violation of the NYPD patrol guide. Following the arrest, he claims that police deleted the video he had shot from his cellphone. The disorderly conduct charge against him was later dropped, and he is now suing for false arrest.”

Ashford assaulted several of the activists by pushing them, something they cannot do to him, but an action which he clearly did to them, as can be seen in the video. Beckford’s unlawful arrest was followed by the unlawful destruction of the video which he’d taken on his phone.

Beckford took his complaint in November to NYC’s Civilian Complaint Review Board which “substantiated three allegations total of abuse of authority against Chowdhury and Ashford. The CCRB recommended that Ashford be retrained and that Chowdhury be docked vacation days.” But just as The Free Thought Project has reported on numerous occasions, docking an officer’s vacation pay is hardly any punishment at all for falsely arresting an activist for exercising his rights to free speech, and freedom of the press. As of the writing of this report, it is unclear whether or not any punishment of the officer has been affected.

Beckford is suing the officers involved as well as the police department. His lawsuit seeks damages for the officers allegedly violating his rights and destroying his documentation.

Beckford’s lawyer David Rankin said, “He was taken off the street in handcuffs and placed in a cell for a number of hours…If a private citizen took someone off the street in the manner that this police officer took Mr. Beckford off the street, they’d be facing felony kidnapping charges. So, just because somebody is annoyed does not give a police officer anything that resembles the right to handcuff them and place them in a cage.” Rankin added, “It certainly seems to us that the officer deleting video is evidence that the officer knew that his conduct was wrong.”
