For those obsessed with identity politics, their ignorance or self-imposed amnesia of their own heritage is so profound that few honest historians dare correct the record, less they become ostracized from the towers of higher learning. The void created by this lack of integrity requires that those not attached or bound to the anti-intellectual centers of propaganda education must carry the message to others who have an open mind and a sincere desire to know the truth. While Democratic factions adopted during the reconstruction era may seem harsh to the culturally deprived, but compared to the ostentation of self-proclaimed champions for diversity, becomes pale by contrast. Their hypocrisy is not new, but the extent of their neurosis approaches clinical insanity.

The background of the Ku Klux Klan has been distorted to such a degree that the impact of Abraham Lincoln’s war is lost to most Americans. The myth that slavery was the cause of the conflict is amiss. The carpetbaggers were more egregious than the plantation landlords. Thus far the tale of separate societies neglects to face up to the reality of the era. Some aspects were a natural response to the oppression from the victor, while others were an overreach to maintain an economic system that ran its course.

Now before one draws a false conclusion, the Republican Party was never the advocate of equality that many would like you to believe. By supporting Amendments to the Constitution the GOP intended to bury the South with the ballot box, while stripping the assets from the vanquished.

The Democratic Party’s Long History of Racism that appeared in the American Thinker cites Charlie Martin of PJ Tatler, who factually exposes the Democrats as the real racists.

A few examples:

Woodrow Wilson segregated Federal Buildings and jobs after 50 years of integration under largely Republican administrations.

It was the Democrat Party in the South that instituted Jim Crow Laws.

It was the Democrat Party in the South that instituted “separate but equal”.

This background is off limits in the swamp of political warfare that is covered by a mass media and pushes the narrative that descendants of bondage are entitled to reparations for past enslavement. It would be even more horrendous to mention that Since White people are routinely condemned for 200 years of slavery in America, why are Jews not condemned for their leading role in slave trade over the last 2000 years? Add to the insult that David Duke presents the factual evidence to this sordid history and you are automatically labeled a hater.

The timid and phony “so called” conservatives are far too scared to mention this subject in their political discourse. Many of the next items need to become part of the dialogue.

The inference is that “The data is going to indicate sadly that when the Obama administration is over, black people will have lost ground in every single leading economic indicator category,” Tavis Smiley, a black radio host, said. “On that regard, the president ought to be held responsible.”

Even that proclaimed liberal enlightened publication, The Atlantic acknowledges How Barack Obama Failed Black Americans. Shocking that such a megastar boy of Frank Marshall Davis could neglect his race.

But before one forgets the rapid destruction of the black community, one needs to admit HOW THE LIBERAL WELFARE STATE DESTROYED BLACK AMERICA. LBJ shackled the gullible into believing that the Great Society was a step forward. More black lives were destroyed by liberal legislation than by any KKK lynching.

America needs to grow up and face reality.  Charles Hunt of the Washington Times has it correct when reporting on the ugly career of Nancy Pelosi, Democrats decry the KKK while forgetting legacy of one of their own.

“There is no room for celebrating the violent bigotry of the men of the Confederacy in the hallowed halls of the United States Capitol or in places of honor across the country,” Mrs. Pelosi said.

After, apparently, 30 years of herself celebrating “violent bigotry.”

In this land of dishonest race hucksters, it is always important to remember that small lies never win. They always go for the BIG LIE.

Remind me, again, who was behind all the “violent bigotry” of the Civil War? Oh, yeah, it was Democrats. And who was behind all the vestiges of it over the last century? Democrats.

Mrs. Pelosi knows this, of course, because she worked shoulder-to-shoulder for 23 years beside a retired member of the Ku Klux Klan. That would, of course, be the “great senator” from the “great state” of West Virginia, Robert C. Byrd, a lifelong Democrat.

As the “Exalted Cyclops” of the KKK, Mr. Byrd recruited more than 100 people to join his chapter and warned in a letter against America becoming “degraded by race mongrels, a throwback to the blackest specimen from the wilds.”

Modern-day Democrats denounced Byrd in 1989 by naming the suite of offices in the U.S. Capitol that house Democrat leadership the “Robert C. Byrd Rooms.”

Since you were not shocked by the hidden family ties of Barry Soetoro, maybe the discriminating sentiments of Senator Byrd might strike a chord of horse sense for those who reject the “political correctness” of the multicultural asylum.

The current diversified egalitarian culture is based upon a foundation of rigid orthodoxy. By adopting the Abraham Lincoln illusion as The Great Emancipator, he was almost the Great Colonizer. This intention is conveniently ignored as the guilt ridden apologists sink into a state of delusion.

Media Research Center President Brent Bozell, published an open letter to the news media explaining why they should cease referencing the leftist SPLC’s biased propaganda in their reporting. 

“The SPLC is a discredited, left-wing, political activist organization that seeks to silence its political opponents with a ‘hate group’ label of its own invention and application that is not only false and defamatory, but that also endangers the lives of those targeted with it,” the letter stated.

In the toxic political environment of this new century, the role of the top haters is unquestionably achieved by the progressive extremists that seek to destroy all symbols and remnants of traditional heritage. Antifa: The Political Wolf In Sheep’s Clothing Is Now Revealed

Several things happened with the recent event in Charlottesville Virginia where we’re told that a 32 year old woman was killed and many others were injured when a driver, 20 year old James Alex Fields drove his car into a crowd of protesters. We’ve all seen the story and the controversies surrounding it repeated on both mainstream and alternative media for day. It’s been several days and we can now step back and appreciate the lessons learned in this event, which upon closer inspection reveals shocking truths that everyone in America needs to recognize as soon as possible because the future of our nation depends on this.

To understand the importance and significance of this event look no further than the players themselves. By that I mean not just the villains that the mainstream media and Hollywood celebrities unanimously parroted to no end to remind you of – that being the White Supremacists, “Nazis” and KKK members who decided to jump into the ‘Unite the Right’ protest event scheduled that day- but also the villains on the other side of the fight who got a complete pass from the media and Hollywood as if they did no wrong- that being “Antifa”, the supposedly “anti fascist” good guys who (contrary to video evidence) the mainstream media and their Hollywood talking heads would have you believe are a peaceful pro-America group that means well. Nothing of course, could be further from the truth.

A close inspection of the radical White Supremacists movement in the U.S. reveals that although it exists, Nazism and White Nationalism is now and for the most part always has been a fringe movement here in the U.S.. Generally speaking most Americans reject Nazism and White Supremacy groups. Their speech is not the typical thing you’ll run into on TV, in the movies, the local newspaper or even your local church. They associate with hate and violence and there is no need to convince Americans of this since Americans are generally in unison about how they feel about these groups. A close look at the Antifa movement however, their history, their background, their stated goals and intentions, and how they go about their agenda reveals a different story from the innocent picture the mainstream media is painting of Antifa.

So before we pull the cover from the Antifa “wolf in sheep’s clothing” operation and reveal the story behind Antifa let’s first consider the two main political agendas behind the recent Charlottesville event as I see it.

1- The event was used to try to associate President Trump and his supporters with “Nazism” and “fascism”. Because the direct connection is almost impossible, instead the deep state and their mainstream media went for the “Nazi = alt right = Trump supporters” strategy. In this example one can see that the term “alt-right”, which was created and introduced by Hillary Clinton herself, now serves as the perfect propaganda term that bridges the two groups which the liberal left is trying to associate, that being “Nazis” and “Trump”. This weaponization of the term “alt-Right” seems to have been accomplished very nicely.

2- The other important purpose of the Charlottesville event was to quietly condone, legitimize and perhaps introduce at a national scale the actions of a group unheard of to most Americans until now- “Antifa”. Like it or not, they’re here and this event has served arguably as the symbolic grand entrance of Antifa onto the streets of America and thus the consciousness of Americans. And before we join the Hollywood celebrity and mainstream media propagandists in celebrating the arrival of Antifa let’s take a close look at the history and true identity of Antifa.

A nice summary of the history of Antifa is provided by Grunt Works Media leaving no doubt as to who Antifa is and what their ultimate purpose is.

Antifa, or Anti Fascists, are making headlines around the country … particularly in Berkley, Portland, and other far left strongholds. They are initiating violent protests, counter protests and rioting on college campuses and in the streets of major U.S. cities. For many Americans they appear to be a new organization, one which has sprung to life to protest President Trump’s election. In reality Antifa is nearly 100 years old and has roots that go directly back to Joseph Stalin and post WWI Europe. What is new about the current Antifa movement is their target. They are no longer attacking fascists to springboard a communist revolution in Europe. Their current target is the political rift between Conservatives and Liberals in the U.S. Their goal is to create the conditions for a Communist takeover of the Democrat party and the eventual subversion of our constitutional republic. To this end they are attacking everyone who holds a conservative viewpoint-and for political cover, they are labeling conservatives as fascists while obfuscating their own communist ideology. Antifa and the communist party hope that Americans will focus on the message of anti fascism. They want us to forget that communists have slaughtered far more innocent lives than the Nazis did, and that while fascism has become a worldwide pariah, communism has continued to be a major player in politics around the world. Communism remains a clear and present danger to liberal democracies everywhere.

Fascism first reared its ugly head in Europe during the post WWI era, when communism had already made great inroads in Eastern Europe. Spurred by the industrialized violence of the Great War, many Europeans sought a strong central government which they believed could protect them in the event of another war. In the confusion and turmoil following the collapse of Germany and the subsequent great depression, the far right looked to fascism, and the far left to communism. Both of these political groups saw liberal democracies as weak and obsolete systems, and favored a strong central government run by a committee (communism) or by a dictator (fascism), either of which would be backed by party loyalists.

From 1918 to the mid 1920s several groups of German communists, backed by Stalinists in Russia, made a series of violent attempts to overthrow the newly formed Weimar Republic government of Germany. These attacks were unsuccessful in large part due to lack of central leadership from the communists. After some initial infighting, the major communist group to emerge was the Kommunistische Partei Deutschlands or KPD. The KPD’s main political target going forward would be the fascists, and the paramilitary arm of this anti fascist movement would be Antifaschistische Aktion. During this period in Germany the KPD would garner a respectable 10% of the national vote, making it the strongest European communist enclave outside of Russia.

Strong anti-communist feelings in the leadership of the Weimar Republic were bolstered by these unsuccessful coupes. Concern over these insurrections led to a national call to action to fight against communism. Under the leadership of Gustav Noske, the German defense minister, the Freikorps were formed. These freikorps were government sanctioned paramilitary groups primarily made up of disaffected WWI veterans that used direct action to suppress communists. Freikorps were quickly subverted by the fascists, leading eventually to the brown shirt militias and a Nazi takeover of Germany.

Antifaschistische Aktion and the KPD sank into obscurity during WWII as the Nazis crushed any opposition with an iron fist. During the Cold War the KPD regained some of its former glory in East Germany as well as enclaves in West Germany, but with the primary enemy of communism now seen as the West-capitalism and liberal democracies-there was little reason to utilize the anti fascists, and they were quietly relegated to the role of occasional anarchists on behalf of the communists. They stayed under the radar until the 2016 U.S. presidential election where, very quickly, Antifaschistische Aktion was resurrected as Antifa.

As you can see, when we pull the veil from the “Antifa” operation they are a Joseph Stalin backed militant Communist organization originating in Germany and a group which was unheard of for the most part until the Liberal Left unleashed them on America as an anti-Trump militant color revolution group posing as Anarchists against “fascism”. Other Antifa related sites talk about bringing in more Antifa terrorists from Europe and doing anything necessary to “fight a resurgent far right in the Trump era”. There is nothing in the history of Antifa to make anyone in America believe that they love and respect America, the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. All they do is create the needed domestic and national turmoil by stirring up anger based on victimhood. This anger is then harnessed as a weapon to overthrow elected governments around the world. This is a classic example of the Communist “National Liberation” agenda to overthrow nation states as G Edward Griffin explains in this video.

The problem with Antifa’s existence in the United States is that there is no Fascist party in power in America and neither has there ever been. That leaves Antifa in the boxing ring without an opponent.

Enter Hillary Clinton and the presidential election race.

Now we can understand why Hillary made her campaign seem more like a political uprising than anything else. During the campaign season I kept wondering to myself, why is Hillary saying what she is saying? I kept wondering, why instead of addressing the actual issues that people tend to vote on, instead Hillary focused her entire campaign on demonizing Donald Trump and painting him out to be Hitler and a hater. I kept asking myself, where was this going? Looking at events in America 7 months deep into the Trump administration we can now clearly see what the plan was. They were setting the stage for radical militant Communist groups like Antifa and they were creating the impetus for the revolution they would soon wage against the Right and against Trump. Problem Reaction Solution. Hillary was creating the problem (Trump is a Fascist) for which the Soros funded “solution” (“anti-fascist revolutionaries) would be rolled out. This is not speculation as shocking videos revealed by Project Veritas showed radical Left wing pro-Hillary activists planning to provoke violence at Trump rallies. Wikileaks emails revealed the mainstream media and the DNC colluding with the Hillary campaign to make sure she wins the election. Revolution against Trump and the planned overthrow of his presidency seems to have been plan B all along in case Hillary loses and now it is in full effect.

A few months ago I documented how proxy armies were coming to America to disrupt this country the same way that the CIA and Soros have undermined and overthrown governments around the world for decades. I mentioned back then when I discovered a mainstream media article for the first time portraying the militia in positive light. It became clear to me then that this was very likely something we would be seeing here in America. More civilian resistance against the government. Obama even promised in his 2008 campaign an army of civilians “just as powerful” as our military. Think about that. He was hinting back then of what was going to happen.

And with the arrival of Antifa onto the national scene it is a good time to remind readers that they are spreading rapidly all over the country. That’s right. An army of civilians nationwide with a Communist history and who spread Communist ideologies under the banner of fighting victimhood dating back to Germany in the 1920s is growing in America. They’re encouraging Americans to join and if you want to know what their conditions and mission statements are check out their website and see for yourself. Warning, you won’t see any mention of America, the Constitution, freedom, the Bill of Rights or the rule of law on their site and that is because none of these things line up with the Communist agenda. They especially despise the first amendment and free speech and collectively they are a weapon against free speech in America.

The following are just some of the shocking claims on their site regarding their own mission:

If the purpose of your group is to do public organizing where your members are clearly identifiable-organizing anti-Trump rallies or supporting refugees and immigrants-using the antifa label and the traditional antifa symbols will likely lead to blowback that could be avoided by naming your organization differently. “Las Cruces United Against Racism” will not draw the attention that calling yourself “La Cruces Antifa,” and using traditional antifa symbolism, will.

..if AltRight speakers come to town, or if the Daily Stormer holds a meet up, you will be expected to organize a counter-demonstration. If they hold postering or sticker campaigns, you should not only take down their materials but also put up your own; public outreach campaigns should likewise be countered.

Build a culture of non-cooperation with law enforcement. If you have any intention of working with the police, FBI, or other agencies; or if you publically condemn anti-fascists who break the law: don’t call yourself an anti-fascist. The cops will be Trump supporters; do not collaborate with them.

Antifa is deceptively classified by mainstream media as “Anarchists”. They do this because most Americans especially the average working class are less likely to be alarmed if they hear “Anarchists” as opposed to “militant radical Communists” which is what Antifa really is and is originally based on. On their site as you can see, they admit that aside from fighting “fascism” their mission involves resisting President Donald Trump even though Trump has nothing to do with “fascism”. They are even, get this, sworn enemies of the police across the board. When did the concept of local police across the board become equivalent to “fascism”? And why are they more concerned with bringing in immigrants than protecting, honoring and building the country itself, the Constitution, free speech and freedom? Everyone should be asking these questions.

Ultimately the price of not asking these basic questions will be the final destruction of America, freedom, the first amendment, the Constitution and the rule of law. And who will benefit from this mass destruction you might ask? The deep state, the ruling elite, Hillary herself, Obama, and the globalists who want to get their new world global order done. That’s who. They are temporarily using the Antifa “anti-fascism” label to undermined Trump, silence opposing opinions, silence Conservatives, Republicans and anyone on the Right who supports Trump by labeling them all as first “alt-Right” which they are suggesting really means “fascists”. They hope that enough Americans are naive enough to fall for this suddenly resuscitated 1920-style (literally) Communist propaganda because all of Hollywood and the mainstream media are telling them to.

So the final question is, are there enough dumbed-down and brainwashed Americans (who believe mainstream media and Hollywood) to overthrow Trump and overturn the results of our elections which would almost certainly lead to civil war and blood on the streets of America? I hope not but with every day that goes by I’m increasingly worried that this is possible. I am choosing to remain positive for now. I believe that Antifa, as we saw with ISIS in 2014 will eventually be fully exposed for who they really are, where they come from and what their ultimate purpose is here in our streets of America. Unfortunately, it is very likely that the deep state is aware that this tactic may fail and thus very likely this is just one plan among many that they are implementing in their attempted overthrow of Trump. Therefore let us first be aware that this is but one segment of a long process and for now let us not allow this one to succeed. If you agree please share this urgent message.

When former Republican Presidential Nominee John McCain is mentioned in the media, he is typically painted in a good light—an elderly senator and war hero battling brain cancer who has devoted the rest of his life to fighting for government healthcare and the removal of a tyrannical dictator in Syria.

McCain added even more fuel to his fire on Tuesday when he joined the mainstream media in condemning President Trump for his response to violent clashes in Charlottesville, Virginia. “There’s no moral equivalency between racists & Americans standing up to defy hate & bigotry,” McCain wrote on Twitter. “The President of the United States should say so.”

McCain’s words were quoted by a number of mainstream outlets, from CNBC to The Hill, which reported that the Arizona Senator was simply “pressing President Trump to make clear that there is not a ‘moral equivalency’ between white nationalists and the counterdemonstrators that turned out in Charlottesville.”

However, there are a few major issues with McCain’s statement. Many of the counterdemonstrators, or “Americans standing up to defy hate and bigotry,” as McCain called them, were affiliated with the group “Antifa.” Although the group’s name stands for “Anti-Fascist,” some of its members do the opposite, and the method of “seeking peace through violence” has been evident at a number of violent rallies and protests across the U.S. following Trump’s inauguration in January.

There is also another factor that should be taken into account as McCain attempts to take the moral high ground and the media cheers him on—his family history. According to a documentary called “Finding Your Roots” from Weta Interactive Media, not only does his family have connections to “hate and bigotry,” McCain’s great-great-grandfather served under the first Grand Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan.

“We then discovered that his Calvary unit had been tapped for a mission by none other than General Nathan Bedford Forrest, a brilliant, but brutal commander, often remembered for what he did after the war as the first Grand Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan,” Historian Henry Louis Gates, Jr. said.

According to the documentary, William Alexander McCain was also a deserter, leaving his division in the Mississippi Calvary during the Civil War, and he also became a Prisoner of War. But there is one more trait that has been passed down through generations—the McCain family’s support for neo-Nazis.

“We are here to support your just cause, the sovereign right of Ukraine to determine its own destiny freely and independently. And the destiny you seek lies in Europe,” John McCain told groups of neo-Nazi protesters at a rally in Ukraine in December 2013.

McCain claimed that his support for these protesters stemmed from the fact that he was trying “to bring about a peaceful transition here, that would stop the violence and give the Ukrainian people what they, unfortunately, have not had, with different revolutions that have taken place—a real society.”

However, McCain’s true motive was revealed when he was asked about how Russia and his mortal enemy President Vladimir Putin were influencing the conflict. “This is the beginning of Russia, right here in Kiev,” McCain said. “So Putin views it as most highly important and he has put pressure on Ukrainians—the price of energy, different kinds of activities. The word is very clear that he has made certain threats.”

While John McCain was quick to condemn protesters for their “hate and bigotry” this week, and while the mainstream media was quick to applaud him for his efforts, they both seem to be forgetting the all-too-important context, which serves as a reminder that McCain only condemns Neo-Nazism when it fits his political agenda.

FBI Quietly Investigated White Supremacists Infiltrating Police Depts, Said Nothing

(RT) — An FBI investigation, carried out quietly, into white supremacy infiltration of US law enforcement has been revealed by the Intercept as part of its lengthy examination of classified bureau documents.

The investigation which exposes the FBI’s vast powers uncovered an FBI file concluding that white supremacists and overt white nationalists had infiltrated US police departments and other law enforcement agencies.

The leaked classified FBI Counterterrorism Policy Guide from April 2015 states that “domestic terrorism investigations focused on militia extremists, white supremacist extremists, and sovereign citizen extremists often have identified active links to law enforcement officers.”

The FBI has the option to mark a watchlisted police officer as a “silent hit” where a suspect is tracked by the FBI without the knowledge of law enforcement. The leaked document states that a “specific, narrowly defined, and legitimate operational justification” must be given in order to mark a ‘Known or Suspected Terrorist’ (KST) entry as a silent hit.

The papers also note that to protect the safety of local law enforcement, suspects who are “violent or are known to be armed and dangerous” cannot be marked as silent hits.

A 2006 heavily redacted FBI internal intelligence assessment showed the agency was alarmed over white supremacist groups’ “historical” interest in “infiltrating law enforcement communities or recruiting law enforcement personnel.” However, the issue was not publicly addressed by the FBI since then.

The Bureau’s governing rulebook, known as the DIOG, sets out how the FBI can bypass its own rules to send undercover agents or informants into political and religious organizations, as well as schools, clubs, and businesses.

While there are approval requirements for infiltrating these groups, the guide gives agents considerable discretion in deciding whether such operations require extra approvals, according to the Intercept.

None of the rules apply if a foreign government operates the organization, or if the FBI “reasonably” believes the organization is acting on behalf of a foreign power, so long as its US-based members are mainly foreigners.

Another loophole means that the rules apply only to groups deemed ‘legitimate.’ This excludes obvious criminal groups but could also arguably exclude activist groups that an agent claims is protesting unlawfully.

Racial profiling still exists

Despite the Obama administration banning racial profiling in federal law enforcement, internal FBI policy guidelines show that profiling practices within the bureau remain the same, according to the leaked papers.

The FBI updated its policy on racial profiling as recently as March last year, clearly stating that an agent can consider factors such as race, nationality, or ethnicity when deciding to investigate someone as long as these factors are clearly relevant and coincide with other reasons for suspicion.

58-year-old blues musician and author Daryl Davis has taken an unusual approach to racism, and has managed to successfully convince hundreds of racists to quit the KKK. Davis goes far behind enemy lines to Klan rallies and meetings of white supremacists to make friends with people who hate him for no reason and he’s been doing it for over 30 years. He is even responsible for single-handedly causing an entire chapter of the KKK to dissolve in the state of Maryland.

Years ago, Davis began seeking out members of the KKK so he could learn more about racism first hand, straight from the horse’s mouth. He never actually sought out to convert any KKK member or change their mind. In the beginning, his initial goal was just to try to gain some type of understanding for why these people believe what they did.

Davis is not a total pacifist, though, and is prepared to defend himself at any time. On at least two separate occasions he was attacked by Klan members and had to beat them up for his own protection, but he does not go anywhere looking for a fight.

‘There have been some incidents in which I was threatened and a couple of instances where I had to physically fight. Fortunately, I won in both instances,” Davis said.

‘These things happen from time to time, but it is to be expected because you are dealing with someone who hates you and wants to be violent just because of the color of your skin. Some of them are absolutely repulsed when they see a black person and want to hurt that person. At the core of it, although they won’t at first admit it, they express superiority, but truly feel inferiority and in order to elevate themselves, they have to push someone else down,” he added.

Most often, though, these meetings happen without any incident, and while there are plenty of tense moments, the interactions between Davis and the racists that he encounters are surprisingly pleasant. Instead of focusing heavily on race and areas of disagreement, Davis instead tries to focus on areas of agreement and steers the conversation in a direction where both sides have common ground.

“If you spend just five minutes with your arch enemy, you will discover that you have something in common, and if you spend ten minutes, you’ll find you have something else in common,” he says.

Humor, friendliness, and music help Davis break the ice with those that he encounters.

Daryl explained one encounter where music helped him connect with a racist, saying that “Music absolutely played a massive role in bridging many gaps in the racial divides I would encounter. Once when I was performing in a predominantly white venue, a white man approached me on my break and put his arm around me and exclaimed, “This is the first time I’ve ever heard a black man play piano like Jerry Lee Lewis.”

“I quickly enlightened him as to the origin of Jerry Lee’s music and told him that Jerry Lee had learned that style from black Boogie Woogie and blues piano players. The man did not believe me, despite the fact that I further told him that Jerry Lee was a good friend of mine and he had told me himself where he learned that style. But, the gentleman was fascinated with the idea that a black man could play like that. He was curious and wanted to learn more about me. It was then revealed to me by him that he was a member of the Ku Klux Klan. Over time, he and I became good friends. He ended up leaving the KKK,“ he added.

Davis has a closet filled with Klansman uniforms, all of them given to him by friends and former Klansman who quit the racist cult as a result of their friendship. One KKK member and Baltimore City Police officer even gave Davis both his Klansman uniform and his police officer’s uniform.

“I was very well prepared for the meeting in terms of knowledge of my topic. I have just about every book written on the Klan and I’ve read them all. In fact, I know more about the KKK than most Klan members know about their own organization. Knowledge, information, wit, and the way you disseminate these attributes can often prove to be a more disarming weapon against an enemy or some with whom your ideology is in conflict, than violence or lethal weapons,” Davis said.

Davis does not push strongly for people to renounce their ways, and he does not lecture them about the ills of bigotry, instead, he simply shows up to learn and make friends.

“It’s a wonderful thing when you see a light bulb pop on in their heads or they call you and tell you they are quitting. I never set out to convert anyone in the Klan. I just set out to get an answer to my question: “How can you hate me when you don’t even know me?” he asks.

“I simply gave them a chance to get to know me and treat them the way I want to be treated. They come to their own conclusion that this ideology is no longer for them. I am often the impetus for coming to that conclusion and I’m very happy that some positivity has come out of my meetings and friendships with them,” Davis said.

Surprisingly, Davis gets a fair amount of criticism from people of his own race, for mingling with the enemy.

“There was surprise and shock on both sides (black and white), mostly from people who don’t know me, or who haven’t bothered to research me, read up on me, or hear my interviews or lectures. Not all, but most of the criticism has come from black people. I have been called a ‘sellout’, ‘Uncle Tom’, ‘Oreo’ and a number of other terrible names,” Davis explains.

“Unfortunately, I must compare these particular black people with the KKK and other white supremacist groups, with no distinction, other than the color of their skin. This is because they are engaging in the exact same hateful behavior as they accuse the white racists. I can explain it like this because I’ve seen it on both sides,” he says.

In a recent Interview, Davis discussed the coming Trump presidency and said that despite the racial tension in the media, he believes that race relations are better than ever.

“In Israel, it’s Palestinian versus. Jew. In Lebanon, it’s Christian versus. Muslim. In Iraq, it’s Sunni Muslim versus Shiite Muslim. In certain African countries, the conflict is tribal. In India, we see a caste system based on the shade of skin color and classicism,” he explains.

“There has always been a great deal of racism in the U.S. before and after Obama. However, racism in the US is down, post-Obama.What you are seeing is those people who were dormant racists, being given a new lease on life by the sentiments of our new President-Elect. They celebrate his election. But, let me be clear here. Every racist I know, and I know a lot of them, voted for Trump. However, that does not mean that everyone who voted for Trump is a racist. I know a lot of people who voted for him who are not racist,” he added.

One thing that is worth mentioning in relation to racism and the popularity of Trump, is the fact that being hyper-vigilant about shaming any instance of real or perceived racism, seems to actually embolden racists, and even push moderates towards adopting racist views. This is a dynamic that many credit for Trumps rise in popularity. Davis takes a contrasting approach that seems to have more of a positive and lasting effect.
