Over 100 Children Just Disappeared in UK – Sex Trafficking Fears Have Govt Scrambling

A child trafficking crisis in unfolding in the UK with over 100 children recently gone missing and experts warning that number is likely far greater. Charity and government officials are now frantically working to put the breaks on the problem as children are being bought and sold into slavery and sexual exploitation.

As the refugee crisis began to spike, as a direct result of Western foreign policy in the Middle East, the UK came up with the Dubs Amendment to allow children whose parents had been killed, a fast track route into the country to ensure their safety. However, the government grossly underestimated the difficult nature of placing so many children and the Dubs scheme was halted.

This inadequate planning led to hundreds of children being routed all over with government losing track and many of them falling into the hands of child traffickers.

“Now that the Dubs scheme has closed down and family reunification referrals are extremely delayed, these kids’ only real option is to jump on lorries,” Michael McHugh, the RYS coordination and child protection officer said to the Independent. “There are people here now who are doing business facilitating this, and they speak the children’s language.

“Young people are becoming more and more emboldened in their pursuit to cross, with many considering ‘work’ as a way to do it. One child here recently told me he was told by an adult male that if he could do some work he would be taken to the UK.”

This ‘work’, however, is little more than sex abuse and slavery. Authorities have found children working as slaves and some as young as 11-years-old, addicted to heroin.

“This is the tip of the iceberg,” said McHugh, who says the number of trafficked children is likely far higher.

Christine Beddoe, an adviser on tackling child trafficking who co-authored a report by the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Trafficking and Modern Slavery, said children and young people in Calais are turning to smugglers “in desperation” to help them get out of their current situation, which she said ”can very quickly turn into a trafficking situation,” reports the Independent.

“Both in Calais and once they reach the UK, children and young people are falling victim to sexual exploitation, labor exploitation, criminal exploitation – it can be all three,” she said.

“Very high prices are demanded and if they don’t have families who can pay, then those young people are expected to do something to pay back that money, and then that turns into an exploitation situation.

“You can either pay your way if you’ve got money, or if you haven’t got money, the very same opportunistic criminals will still try to get you there. But then these children are locked into having to repay that debt.”

“One of the biggest problems that is hidden in the UK with victims of trafficking is the sexual exploitation of young boys,” she said. “Because in a lot of the countries they come from there is so much stigma about sexual abuse of males, victims are very reluctant to talk.

“But rampant sexual abuse that goes on, not only on the journey, but also here in the UK. This level of abuse is so hidden here that when the British Government under the Dubs scheme talked about the vulnerability criteria, they didn’t even mention about sexual abuse of male children,” Beddoe explained of the government’s lack of effectiveness.

“It’s hidden on a policy level. The whole political framework overlooks the vulnerability of boys from all sorts of different backgrounds being sexually abused, and that is one of the crises in this situation.”

Kevin Hyland, the UK’s Anti-Slavery Commissioner admits that the government is not doing enough to stop the rampant exploitation of children in the UK, according to the Independent. “We need to stop playing the blame game. It’s time to move from a culture of condemnation to one of responsibility. We have UN global goals – now is the time to put them into action,” he said.

The time for action is certainly now. As the Free Thought Project reported, according to a London top cop, Britain’s capital has become a hotspot for forced labor and sex slavery.

There are an estimated 13,000 victims of forced labor, sexual exploitation and domestic servitude in Britain, according to Government data and the police have no idea how to handle it.

The number of child trafficking victims has risen to a record high, according to data obtained by the UK’s National Referral Mechanism.

Sadly, the government has admitted it has no way of stopping it.

As the state scrambles to deal with the mass influx of refugees, they are missing the point entirely. Their foreign policy in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, and Syria has created this flow of people who had their homes destroyed, parents killed, and towns taken over by terrorists.

These innocent people are forced from their countries and into European nations where cultural conflicts and trafficking situations arise and war is the underlying cause. No one mentions it either, leading many to believe it is by design.

Until these murderous and senseless wars and occupations are brought to a halt, the West’s refugee crisis will continue to worsen, as will the child trafficking, xenophobia, hatred, and violence.

Pastors Advocating for Foster Kids Caught Running Child Sex Trafficking Ring

Toledo, OH — In 2016, the attention of much of the world was centered on a rumored sex trafficking scandal in Washington, DC known as “Pizzagate.” While any truth that pizzagate exists was dismissed by the mainstream media as rumor and fodder for conspiracy theorists, many people felt that at the very least, it warranted an investigation. However, that did not happen.

In fact, since that time, child sex scandals have been uncovered in Europe, the UK, and in India. And just this week, as TFTP reported, a high-ranking member of the U.S. military (retired) and former VP of Dynacorp was arrested on child rape charges. Meanwhile, the latest iteration of a pizzagate-style child sex ring involves yet again, the clergy, and a high-ranking official within child services.

Ohio Pastors Cordell Jenkins (46) and Anthony Haynes (37) were arrested on charges of sex trafficking minors earlier this month. ABC reported their crimes involved the “recruiting, enticing and transporting people the men knew were under 18 to engage in sex acts for pay.” The report says the sex trafficking started three years ago with a girl who was 14 at the time. Jenkins is also charged with having sex with a minor in exchange for money.

Jenkins is the founder and pastor of Abundant Life Ministries in Toledo, Ohio. His wife, Laura-Lloyd Jenkins is a member of the Lucas County Child Services Board of Trustees and is listed as the group’s secretary. The board is responsible for investigating allegations of crimes for which the board member’s husband, a pastor no less, is accused of committing.

At one point, it appears there was a public service announcement on the importance of adoption and foster care, featuring pastor Jenkins, but that video, understandably, has since been removed.

FBI Agent Vicki Anderson said the investigation is ongoing and more individuals may be charged in connection with the child sex trafficking ring. According to Toledo’s ABC News 13, “The documents released by the FBI detail numerous explicit sexual encounters the men allegedly had with kids. They show Pastor Haynes introduce a child identified as ‘juvenile one’ to several adult males. The documents go on to read ‘these males provided juvenile one with money in exchange for sexual activity."”

The men allegedly had sex with their victims at local motels including but not limited to the Red Roof Inn. Jenkins also stands accused of having sex in his office at the church.

Agent Anderson told reporters, “Charges could change from what they’ve been held on right now. There could be additional charges. There could be something where this charge fits better. It could be altered between now and the indictment or it could stay the same.”

Let’s assume the pastor was looking out for his best interests and wanting to keep his sex trafficking activities a secret from his congregation as well as authorities. To whom would he have been pimping out the underage minors? We believe the answer to that question is most likely well connected and very wealthy fellow community leaders. The FBI would do well to uncover and unseal all the court documents related to the case so that justice can be served.

Also unclear is whether or not Jenkins used his wife’s position within the county’s child services board to gain access to children for the purposes of sex trafficking. To date, there’s been no connection of any kind indicating any impropriety within the county’s child services division. But, all of that could change as more information is made available to the public.

The Jenkins’ activity in sex trafficking serves to illustrate just how low our society has fallen, so low that even pastors who should be sacrificing themselves to see that sex trafficking is non-existent in America, are actually engaged in the dirty business of selling kids for money.

Most of us can conceive of the grim and lifeless time when governments and corporations will use implanted microchips as the ultimate form of identity, as a digital wallet, and as a physical tracker of everything you do, and everywhere you go.

But fewer have thought about the ways it is being used now, off the books by drug gangs and sex traffickers, and by intelligence agencies and secretive operations. Victims are being tracked and traced as inventory, as cattle, and it is a chilling symbol for the future of humanity if this stuff takes hold. No amount of convenience will compensate for the power to control others that this technology creates.

They Thought She Was Crazy: Doctor Extracts RFID Chip From Sex Trafficking Victim

If someone walks into a hospital and claims that they’re being tracked, and that they need to have a tracking device removed, there’s a pretty good chance that they’re going to be sent to a mental institution instead. However, according to a doctor who wished to remain anonymous to protect his patient, that very situation occurred last October and it didn’t end how you might expect.

The patient in question was a 28-year-old woman who claimed that she had a GPS tracking device planted in her body. Normally a patient like that would be regarded as crazy, but this woman appeared totally sane, and she had an incision mark on her side. So the doctor decided to check her out anyway. The medical staff at the hospital were stunned when they finally gave her an X-ray.

Embedded in the right side of her flank is a small metallic object only a little bit larger than a grain of rice. But it’s there. It’s unequivocally there. She has a tracker in her. And no one was speaking for like five seconds — and in a busy ER that’s saying something.

It turns out that it wasn’t a GPS device, but an RFID chip. “It’s used to tag cats and dogs. And someone had tagged her like an animal, like she was somebody’s pet that they owned.”

In a way, that makes it even creepier than a GPS device. RFID chips have a very short range. To be useful for tracking someone’s position, they would have to be kept confined in an area where the right equipment is in place to send or receive signals from the chip. The doctor would later discover that this woman was a victim of sex trafficking.

Science fiction has been warning about the potential of tracking devices for years, but usually in reference to how the government might use this technology. It just goes to show that the way humans use technology in the real world is often stranger (and creepier) than fiction.

Child Sex Trafficking Victim Rescued then Thrown in an Adult Jail to ‘Help’ Her

The Free Thought Project has observed a disturbing trend in law enforcement. We’ve known for years the police have locked up innocent people, who get caught up in a police dragnet. But the latest practice by law enforcement crosses so many ethical boundaries it’s unfathomable the good people of Texas are allowing it to take place on their watch. They’re now jailing sex trafficking victims because they have no place to put them.

According to the Texas Tribune, many of them are minors — like Lena (17) who never found herself on the wrong side of the law. She was rescued from sex traffickers. But that’s when another imprisonment occurred for her. In the fall of 2016, after police helped rescue her from her traffickers, she was booked into the county jail.

“The 17-year-old lived with two dozen women in a single room. She slept on a metal bunk and wore an oversized orange jumpsuit every day. She went to the bathroom with no privacy, using a toilet attached to the wall,” the Tribune writes.

Having endured a troubled life, an abusive adoptive mom, several foster homes, only to end up running away from home, Lena found herself as the property of pimps who exploited her need for the love of a father.

According to the Tribune, Texas has only one facility for victims of sex trafficking called the “Freedom Place,” which can only house 20 girls at a time. But they don’t take in girls who have a history, like Lena’s, of running away from such facilities. So the police are opting to use a controversial program called “arrest and recovery” which attempts to rehabilitate them in jail and then drop their arrest-related charges. Lena offered sex for money to an undercover police officer, an offense which brought her to jail and may have saved her life, but imprisoned her nonetheless.

The Tribune writes, “No one wanted Lena in jail — not the Houston police who arrested her, not the district attorney who pursued the case. In their eyes, she was not a prostitute; she was a child who had been sexually exploited and needed protection and care. Lena and teenage victims like her end up in jail for one simple reason: There’s nowhere else for them to go.”

While the Tribune does an excellent job of chronicling Lena’s fight for self-worth and freedom, the newspaper stops short of criticizing the police for creating such a program which places minors in the company of murders and sex offenders.

While it may be a stretch to segway into the reasons why police cannot create an imaginative way to save Lena’s life from human traffickers, the issue begs a response. If police in Texas would abandon their fight against marijuana, maybe it could free up resources to create a holding center for high flight risk youth who may have been sex trafficked, needing appropriate medical care and counseling, and some sense of normalcy and structure.

The ugly reasons why they don’t do what they know they should be doing may be as grotesque as the problem of sex trafficking itself. It doesn’t pay. Busting marijuana dealers, growers, and users, does pay, especially when large amounts of money are confiscated in asset forfeiture seizures.

While the Tribune might not be willing to call out Texas Baptists for not stepping up and being good Samaritans, nor willing to accuse the police of being more interested in generating revenue than fighting crime and protecting victims, we are. Those who question the state and hold them accountable aren’t devoid of humanitarianism. In fact, it requires so-called authorities to get out of the way and let people with means and motivation do they job they cannot. Hopefully, this story will be provocative enough to have authorities question why they’re pouring so much money and resources into fighting a war on a drug that half of the rest of the country is embracing as medicine. Only then will the great state of Texas think big enough to create better programs for victims of sex trafficking.
