A report published in the Journal of Trace Elements in Medicine and Biology raises a disturbing possibility: that aluminum hydroxide, the dominant metal-based adjuvant used in vaccines today, is causing aluminum overload at injection sites, and contributing to the pathogenesis of diseases such as chronic fatigue syndrome, macrophagic myofasciitis and subcutaneous pseudolymphoma. [i]


Discussed is the case of a 45-year old woman with vaccine-induced subcutaneous pseudolymphoma, a type of skin lesion characterized by collections of lymphocytes, macrophages, and dendritic cells in the skin.  The researchers performed a skin biopsy at the injection site and found aluminum (AI) deposits in her macrophages. When the skin sample was assayed for AI and quantified, it was found to contain 768.1 micrograms per gram, dry weight, versus 5.61 and 9.13 in two control patients – up to 153-fold higher concentrations.


The report cautioned: “Given the pathology of this patient and the high Al concentration in skin biopsy, the authors wish to draw attention when using the Al salts known to be particularly effective as adjuvants in single or repeated vaccinations. The possible release of Al may induce other pathologies ascribed to the well-known toxicity of this metal.”


As referenced, aluminum-based (and other) vaccine adjuvants are “effective” at increasing antibody titers, but they perform this feat through the hypersensitization and/or dysregulation of the humoral pole of the immune system (Th2), which is the immunological equivalent of kicking a beehive.


While intrinsically toxic adjuvants enable manufacturers to produce more antibodies with less antigen (often a profit-motivated decision), these synthetically-generated increases in the sheer number of antibodies produced does not in any way guarantee they will target the correct antigen (i.e. antibody-antigen affinity), which is the true measure of vaccine effectiveness; in fact, these unnaturally stimulated antibodies cross-react with and/or attack self-structures, e.g. myelin basic protein, leading to the break down of immunological self-tolerance, i.e. autoimmunity.


It is a curious fact of vaccine history that while aluminum hydroxide has been injected into billions of people and has been used for almost one century as the only vaccine adjuvant approved worldwide, its mechanism of action is not fully understood, and is only being investigated with any depth in the past five years.


We know that one way in which aluminum hydroxide induces an enhanced immune response is through activating the inflammasome within myeloid cells, a key immune-mediated activator of the inflammatory response and which is known to induce cell death. And yet, without understanding its exact mechanism of action, it is impossible by principle to ascertain fully its risk to health.


Last year, a report published in the journal Current Medicinal Chemistry titled “Aluminum vaccine adjuvants: are they safe?” raised these safety concerns:



Aluminum is an experimentally demonstrated neurotoxin and the most commonly used vaccine adjuvant. Despite almost 90 years of widespread use of aluminum adjuvants, medical science’s understanding about their mechanisms of action is still remarkably poor. There is also a concerning scarcity of data on toxicology and pharmacokinetics of these compounds. In spite of this, the notion that aluminum in vaccines is safe appears to be widely accepted. Experimental research, however, clearly shows that aluminum adjuvants have a potential to induce serious immunological disorders in humans. In particular, aluminum in adjuvant form carries a risk for autoimmunity, long-term brain inflammation and associated neurological complications and may thus have profound and widespread adverse health consequences. In our opinion, the possibility that vaccine benefits may have been overrated and the risk of potential adverse effects underestimated, has not been rigorously evaluated in the medical and scientific community.  [ii]



Another study published in 2011 in the Journal of Inorganic Biochemistry brought up the taboo topic of vaccine-induced autism, focusing on the crucial role of aluminum adjuvants as neurotoxic agents.  The study abstract is well worth reading, as you will not see this type of information reported anywhere in the mainstream media:



Autism spectrum disorders (ASD) are serious multisystem developmental disorders and an urgent global public health concern. Dysfunctional immunity and impaired brain function are core deficits in ASD. Aluminum (Al), the most commonly used vaccine adjuvant, is a demonstrated neurotoxin and a strong immune stimulator. Hence, adjuvant Al has the potential to induce neuroimmune disorders. When assessing adjuvant toxicity in children, two key points ought to be considered: (i) children should not be viewed as “small adults” as their unique physiology makes them much more vulnerable to toxic insults; and (ii) if exposure to Al from only few vaccines can lead to cognitive impairment and autoimmunity in adults, is it unreasonable to question whether the current pediatric schedules, often containing 18 Al adjuvanted vaccines, are safe for children? By applying Hill’s criteria for establishing causality between exposure and outcome we investigated whether exposure to Al from vaccines could be contributing to the rise in ASD prevalence in the Western world. Our results show that: (i) children from countries with the highest ASD prevalence appear to have the highest exposure to Al from vaccines; (ii) the increase in exposure to Al adjuvants significantly correlates with the increase in ASD prevalence in the United States observed over the last two decades (Pearson r=0.92, p<0.0001); and (iii) a significant correlation exists between the amounts of Al administered to preschool children and the current prevalence of ASD in seven Western countries, particularly at 3-4 months of age (Pearson r=0.89-0.94, p=0.0018-0.0248). The application of the Hill’s criteria to these data indicates that the correlation between Al in vaccines and ASD may be causal. Because children represent a fraction of the population most at risk for complications following exposure to Al, a more rigorous evaluation of Al adjuvant safety seems warranted.[iii]



Another, even more taboo topic is vaccine-induced infant death, which is often forced into the “idiopathic” category of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). A report published in the Journal of Tropical Medicine in 2011, offers an explanation for the well-known, though often censored link between DTP vaccines used in the third world and increased mortality in female infants.[iv]


Titled “Immunological Links to Nonspecific Effects of DTwP and BCG Vaccines on Infant Mortality,” researchers reported on the fact that “A number of mainly observational studies suggest that many African females below the age of one year die each year from the nonspecific effects of vaccination with diphtheria-tetanus toxoids and killed (whole-cell) Bordetella pertussis (DTwP).”


The explanation they offered is that “…the adverse effects of DTwP vaccine may occur because of the Th2-polarising effect of the aluminium phosphate adjuvant in the vaccine and because intramuscular administration of the vaccine may cause chronic inflammation at the site of injection.”


Aluminum has no known beneficial function in biology. Increasing awareness of this metal’s role in breast cancer, due to its metalloestrogenic properties, and its prevalence in our food (baking soda), body care products (e.g. antiperspirants), drugs and environment (e.g. it is used in aerosolized form in military operations as aluminized chaff), is bringing to light how important it is to avoid unnecessary exposures, especially when it concerns the health of our infants and children who are already faced with an ever-increasing body burden of this, and other highly toxic metals. It is clear that if we implement the precautionary principle, vaccines which contain this, or any other, highly toxic metal should be avoided at all costs.

Aluminum toxicity, a characteristically manmade problem, is now impossible to avoid, and has become a postmodern rite of passage. Our environment has become so polluted with the stuff, that even our crop plants are being threatened, with biotechnology firms now scrambling to genetically engineer aluminum-tolerance into them as a possible, though still desperate solution.


Not only are we being exposed, daily, through increasingly polluted water, soil and air, but many of our regulatory agencies consider it perfectly safe to intentionally consume or inject the stuff directly into our bodies.


While there is no known physiologic need or positive biological role for aluminum in the human body, the FDA is perfectly content with the population it is charged with protecting eating it as a “food grade” additive. This same “regulatory agency” promotes the mythical concept of a “safe” food grade petroleum, allowing food manufacturers to surreptitiously feed us over half a pound a year, which is likely why human autopsies have revealed that almost half of us have pathological deposits of the stuff in our livers and spleen.*


Technically, there are 8 forms of aluminum the government considers benign enough to receive GRAS, or Generally Recognized As Safe, status – a designation which basically exempts the substance from adequate safety testing.


Those 8 forms of aluminum are



  • Aluminum ammonium sulfate

  • Aluminum calcium silicate

  • Aluminum hydroxide

  • Aluminum oleate

  • Aluminum palmitate

  • Aluminum potassium sulfate

  • Aluminum sodium sulfate

  • Aluminum sulfate


If you look closer at the toxicological data on the Material Data Safety Sheet proved for aluminum sulfate, for instance, you will find that it states the following:



  • WARNING! HARMFUL IF SWALLOWED OR INHALED. CAUSES IRRITATION TO SKIN, EYES AND RESPIRATORY TRACT.”

  • This material hydrolyzes in water to form sulfuric acid, which is responsible for the irritating effects given below.”

  • “Inhalation: Causes irritation to the respiratory tract. Symptoms may include coughing, shortness of breath.”

  • “Ingestion: Causes irritation to the gastrointestinal tract. Symptoms may include nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. There have been two cases of fatal human poisonings from ingestion of 30 grams of alum.”


Sound safe? It should be noted for the nay-sayers, that contrary to what appears to be modern “expert” opinion, reducing the dosage of a toxic substance does not make it non-toxic; rather, it is only less acutely toxic, and more likely to have chronic, subtle and cumulative toxicities that are harder to ascertain and/or prove clinically, but nevertheless exist.


While this is disturbing, far worse is the CDC’s claim that it is not only safe but therapeutic to inject aluminum-based vaccine adjuvants (e.g. aluminum hydroxide) directly into our bodies, including infants and children.


Here are just a few examples of how we are being continually exposed to aluminum:



  1. Food: Aluminized baking powder is used in a wide range of consumer baked goods, and aluminum is added to highly-processed cheese products to “improve” melting qualities. A single serving of frozen cheese pizza has 14 mg, according to a 2005 study published in the journal Food Additives and Contaminants (sad, but telling that there has to be an entire journal dedicated to this topic).[1]

  2. Vaccines: Our precious children now receive over 60 vaccines by age 6, most of which now contain aluminum hydroxide instead of the now phased out (in the developed world, but not the under- and undeveloped ones, interestingly) mercury-laden thimerosal.   3. Airborne Exposure: According to a study published in the journal Ecotoxicology and Environmental Safety in 2002, at least 500 tons of aluminum-coated chaff is released annually during military training operations in the United States.[2]

  4. Deodorant Antiperspirants: Aluminum, like a number of metals, is a metalloestrogen, capable of contributing to the proliferation of hormone-sensitive cells, such as breast cells. The regular application of this metal to the underarm area is likely contributing to aluminum-associated disease processes, including breast cancer.

  5. Aluminum Cans: Beverages in aluminum cans have been shown to have between .1 to 74 parts per million of aluminum, especially in cola products which contain orthophosphoric acid. Unfortunately, even fruit juices in glass have been shown to accumulate aluminum.

  6. Parenteral nutrition (intravenous feeding): Newborns born in hospitals are commonly given intravenous feeding. A 2010 study published in the Journal of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition demonstrated that parental nutrition resulted in aluminum exposures that exceeded the FDA recommended maximum limit, which is already frightfully high, considering the fact that determining “an acceptable level of harm” is an oxymoronic task.[3]

  7. Infant Formula: According to a 2010 study titled “There is (still) too much aluminum in infant formulas,” and published in the journal BMC Pediatrics, infant formulas are widely contaminated with aluminum.[4]



Aluminum exposure, as you can see, is rather difficult to avoid. Thankfully, when absolute avoidance is not possible, there are a few natural substances that have been demonstrated to have protective effects against aluminum toxicity. Of the 20 we have indexed thus far, the following we have chosen to highlight, mainly because of their availability and safety:

  • Turmeric: the primary polyphenol in turmeric known as curcumin, has been shown in numerous studies to reduce the neurotoxicity of aluminum, and its associated adverse effects on brain function and overall behavior. [5] [6] [7]

  • Propolis: a product of the beehive, this remarkable substance has been demonstrated to have significant protective properties against aluminum-induced damage to the liver and reproductive systems.[8]  [9]

  • N-acetyl cysteine (NAC): known for its ability to increase the production of glutathione, an endogenously produced antioxidant fundamental to cellular health. NAC has been shown to reduce aluminum-induced cognitive dysfunction and injury to the heart. [10]  [11]

  • Ginger: this spice has been shown to protect against aluminum chloride-induced reproductive damage.[12]

  • Vitamin E: this fat-soluble antioxidant has been shown to reduce aluminum-induced liver damage. [13] [14]

  • Vitamin C: this vitamin has been shown to reduce aluminum-induced damage to the reproductive system,[15] as well as broadly reducing oxidative stress in the body. [16]

When it comes to the most widely used adjuvant ingredient found within vaccines, aluminum, many questions have yet to be answered, particularly when it comes to where the aluminum goes after injection, an issue known as biopersistence.


One reason this question arises is because a causative role has been established in what’s known as macrophagic myofasciitis (MMF) lesion in patients who have myalgic encephalomyelitis, or brain inflammation. Myalgia, arthralgia, chronic fatigue, cognitive dysfunction, dysautonomia, and autoimmunity have been temporally linked to aluminium adjuvant-containing vaccine administration (Gherardi and Authier, 2003; Authier et al., 2003; Exley et al., 2009; Rosenblum et al., 2011; Santiago et al., 2014; Brinth et al., 2015; Palmieri et al., 2016).


“Evidence that aluminum-coated particles phagocytozed in the injected muscle and its draining lymph nodes can disseminate within phagocytes throughout the body and slowly accumulate in the brain further suggested that alum safety should be evaluated in the long term.” (source)


This study has prompted further research evaluating the potential hazards of injected aluminum, which begs the question, why hasn’t proper evidence and evaluation been published showing that it’s safe to inject aluminum into babies via several vaccines in a short period of time? Aluminum adjuvants may be effective for stimulating an immune response, but to simply presume there are no consequences for doing this, or to not emphasize or even state the adverse effects that have been discovered, is, I would argue, criminally negligent.


Such negligence is not uncommon when dealing with pharmaceutical companies, however. For example, a study published in the British Medical Journal and conducted by researchers at the Nordic Cochrane Center in Copenhagen showed that pharmaceutical companies were not disclosing all information regarding the results of their drug trials.


Even the FDA has been caught manipulating media and science press. 


Examples of such fraud and corruption are endless, and the result of what many have dubbed the “corporatization” of science. Many from within the field have published a lot of work with the intention of creating more awareness about this grim reality.


Dr. Marcia Angell, a physician and longtime Editor-in-Chief of the New England Medical Journal (NEMJ), one of the most prestigious peer-reviewed medical journals in the world, has said that “it is simply no longer possible to believe much of the clinical research that is published, or to rely on the judgment of trusted physicians or authoritative medical guidelines. I take no pleasure in this conclusion, which I reached slowly and reluctantly over my two decades as an editor of The New England Journal of Medicine.”  (source)

It’s good to see that we are entering a time when these vaccine ingredients aren’t just assumed to be safe, especially aluminum, which had no place on planet Earth until humans made it, and it definitely has no place in the human body. Because vaccines have, historically, been viewed as non-toxic substances, the FDA and vaccine manufactures simply didn’t conduct appropriate toxicity studies to prove the safety of vaccine ingredients, like aluminum. A study published in BMC Medicine showed that alum-containing vaccines were associated with the appearance of aluminum deposits in distant organs, such as the spleen and brain, and were still detectable one year after injection. The same group from France published another study two years later, emphasizing that there are “several gaps in the knowledge on alum particles, including their exact mechanisms of action, their fate after injection, their systemic dissemination, and their safety on the long-term. Efforts have been done in the last years to develop novel adjuvants, but attempts to seriously examine safety concerns raised by the bio-persistent character and brain accumulation of alum particles have not been made.”


Fast forward to this year, and multiple in vivo studies have been published showing that injected aluminum, and aluminum used as an adjuvant within vaccines, does not come into the same method of excretion as aluminum that accumulates in our body from our food, for example. Our bodies do a good job at eliminating this type of aluminum, but the same cannot be said of injected aluminum. This is why multiple studies are implicating injected aluminum with multiple neurodegenerative disorders, like autism in the short term, or Alzheimer’s in the long term, because aluminum could be going to the brain and staying there for life.


Apart from observed behavioural abnormalities, the 2017 study showed that the “measurement of cerebral Al (aluminum) revealed a significantly higher Al level in brains from animals injected . . . than in brains from control group.” (source)


What’s also interesting is that there was “no significant increase” detected in the animals that were injected with a higher dose.


It’s concerning, especially because we already know that environmental aluminium has long been suspected to act as a co-factor in several chronic neurological diseases (Van Rensburg et al., 2001; De Sole et al., 2013; Exley 2013, 2014). Please refer to these studies to see the mechanism by which these authors are suggesting aluminum is transported to the brain.

Here is a great quote from Dr. Jose G. Dores, a professor at the University of Brasilia’s Department of Nutritional Sciences who recently published a study in the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health. In the study, he offers the following observation: “Despite their long use as active agents of medicines and fungicides, the safety levels of these substances have never been determined, either for animals or for adult humans—much less for fetuses, newborns, infants, and children.”  (source)

With So Many Studies Raising Concerns, Why Do So Few People Know About This?


The same thing has happened with mercury. Not long ago, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Chairman of the World Mercury Project (WMP), announced a $100,000 challenge and initiative aimed at putting an end to the inclusion of mercury, a neurotoxin 100 times more poisonous than lead, in vaccines administered in the U.S and globally. He held a press conference presenting a number of scientific publications raising several concerns with regards to injecting mercury into children. As with aluminum, there are no studies proving it’s actually safe to do this.


And a fairly recent Meta-Analysis published in the journal Bio Med Research International found:


The studies upon which the CDC relies and over which it exerted some level of control report that there is no increased risk of autism from exposure to organic Hg in vaccines, and some of these studies even reported that exposure to Thimerosal appeared to decrease the risk of autism. These six studies are in sharp contrast to research conducted by independent researchers over the past 75+ years that have consistently found Thimerosal to be harmful. There are real life examples of this too, like, William Thompson, a longtime senior CDC scientist who published some of the most commonly cited pro-vaccine studies, which showed that there was absolutely no link between the MMR vaccine and autism (Thompson, et al. 2007, Price, et al. 2010Destefano, et al. 2004). Dr. Thompson recently admitted that  it was “the lowest point” in his career when he “went along with that paper.” He went on to say that he and the other authors “didn’t report significant findings” and that he is “completely ashamed” of what he did. I could go on, but I’ll conclude by saying that we must continue to raise our voices and demand transparency. We must not let the corporate world continue to wreak havoc and sacrifice our health for their greed.


Sacrificing Animals For Science


Collective Evolution is a platform of animal activists, and it does conflict me to constantly look at studies where animals are bred and grown for such a sacrifice. That being said, perhaps for now, in some cases it can be looked upon the way the indigenous looked upon the animals they used to sustain themselves. You can read more about that here, in an article discussing what Native North American elders might say about a vegan diet and the modern day meat industry.  Some of the things animals are subjected to in the name of “science” are actually horrible. The cosmetics industry, to name one, is a heart-breaking example. Why are animals considered lesser beings? If these products are for us, they should be tested on humans. Perhaps one day we will be able to grow human bodies, devoid of any consciousness, to advance science, but then a number of other questions come into play.


As far as vaccines go, injecting aluminum into an animal is almost unnecessary at this point in my opinion, because as far as I’m concerned, we already know the result is not going to be good, so what’s the point of continuing to do so? Unfortunately, the language of science is far different, and perhaps these animals, on some deeper level, played that role so we can open our eyes and see the bigger picture. This type of perspective is discussed in the article linked in the previous paragraph, stories of Native North Americans and their relationship with animals might help with this perspective.


Not in all cases, but in many cases, alternatives to animal testing are sometimes more effective, quicker and cheaper. But this may not be true for all cases.

When it comes to the most widely used adjuvant ingredient found within vaccines, aluminum, many questions have yet to be answered, particularly when it comes to where the aluminum goes after injection, an issue known as biopersistence.


One reason this question arises is because a causative role has been established in what’s known as macrophagic myofasciitis (MMF) lesion in patients who have myalgic encephalomyelitis, or brain inflammation. Myalgia, arthralgia, chronic fatigue, cognitive dysfunction, dysautonomia, and autoimmunity have been temporally linked to aluminium adjuvant-containing vaccine administration (Gherardi and Authier, 2003; Authier et al., 2003; Exley et al., 2009; Rosenblum et al., 2011; Santiago et al., 2014; Brinth et al., 2015; Palmieri et al., 2016).


“Evidence that aluminum-coated particles phagocytozed in the injected muscle and its draining lymph nodes can disseminate within phagocytes throughout the body and slowly accumulate in the brain further suggested that alum safety should be evaluated in the long term.” (source)


This study has prompted further research evaluating the potential hazards of injected aluminum, which begs the question, why hasn’t proper evidence and evaluation been published showing that it’s safe to inject aluminum into babies via several vaccines in a short period of time? Aluminum adjuvants may be effective for stimulating an immune response, but to simply presume there are no consequences for doing this, or to not emphasize or even state the adverse effects that have been discovered, is, I would argue, criminally negligent.


Such negligence is not uncommon when dealing with pharmaceutical companies, however. For example, a study published in the British Medical Journal and conducted by researchers at the Nordic Cochrane Center in Copenhagen showed that pharmaceutical companies were not disclosing all information regarding the results of their drug trials.


Even the FDA has been caught manipulating media and science press. 


Examples of such fraud and corruption are endless, and the result of what many have dubbed the “corporatization” of science. Many from within the field have published a lot of work with the intention of creating more awareness about this grim reality.


Dr. Marcia Angell, a physician and longtime Editor-in-Chief of the New England Medical Journal (NEMJ), one of the most prestigious peer-reviewed medical journals in the world, has said that “it is simply no longer possible to believe much of the clinical research that is published, or to rely on the judgment of trusted physicians or authoritative medical guidelines. I take no pleasure in this conclusion, which I reached slowly and reluctantly over my two decades as an editor of The New England Journal of Medicine.”  (source)

It’s good to see that we are entering a time when these vaccine ingredients aren’t just assumed to be safe, especially aluminum, which had no place on planet Earth until humans made it, and it definitely has no place in the human body. Because vaccines have, historically, been viewed as non-toxic substances, the FDA and vaccine manufactures simply didn’t conduct appropriate toxicity studies to prove the safety of vaccine ingredients, like aluminum. A study published in BMC Medicine showed that alum-containing vaccines were associated with the appearance of aluminum deposits in distant organs, such as the spleen and brain, and were still detectable one year after injection. The same group from France published another study two years later, emphasizing that there are “several gaps in the knowledge on alum particles, including their exact mechanisms of action, their fate after injection, their systemic dissemination, and their safety on the long-term. Efforts have been done in the last years to develop novel adjuvants, but attempts to seriously examine safety concerns raised by the bio-persistent character and brain accumulation of alum particles have not been made.”


Fast forward to this year, and multiple in vivo studies have been published showing that injected aluminum, and aluminum used as an adjuvant within vaccines, does not come into the same method of excretion as aluminum that accumulates in our body from our food, for example. Our bodies do a good job at eliminating this type of aluminum, but the same cannot be said of injected aluminum. This is why multiple studies are implicating injected aluminum with multiple neurodegenerative disorders, like autism in the short term, or Alzheimer’s in the long term, because aluminum could be going to the brain and staying there for life.


Apart from observed behavioural abnormalities, the 2017 study showed that the “measurement of cerebral Al (aluminum) revealed a significantly higher Al level in brains from animals injected . . . than in brains from control group.” (source)


What’s also interesting is that there was “no significant increase” detected in the animals that were injected with a higher dose.


It’s concerning, especially because we already know that environmental aluminium has long been suspected to act as a co-factor in several chronic neurological diseases (Van Rensburg et al., 2001; De Sole et al., 2013; Exley 2013, 2014). Please refer to these studies to see the mechanism by which these authors are suggesting aluminum is transported to the brain.

Here is a great quote from Dr. Jose G. Dores, a professor at the University of Brasilia’s Department of Nutritional Sciences who recently published a study in the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health. In the study, he offers the following observation: “Despite their long use as active agents of medicines and fungicides, the safety levels of these substances have never been determined, either for animals or for adult humans—much less for fetuses, newborns, infants, and children.”  (source)

With So Many Studies Raising Concerns, Why Do So Few People Know About This?


The same thing has happened with mercury. Not long ago, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Chairman of the World Mercury Project (WMP), announced a $100,000 challenge and initiative aimed at putting an end to the inclusion of mercury, a neurotoxin 100 times more poisonous than lead, in vaccines administered in the U.S and globally. He held a press conference presenting a number of scientific publications raising several concerns with regards to injecting mercury into children. As with aluminum, there are no studies proving it’s actually safe to do this.


And a fairly recent Meta-Analysis published in the journal Bio Med Research International found:


The studies upon which the CDC relies and over which it exerted some level of control report that there is no increased risk of autism from exposure to organic Hg in vaccines, and some of these studies even reported that exposure to Thimerosal appeared to decrease the risk of autism. These six studies are in sharp contrast to research conducted by independent researchers over the past 75+ years that have consistently found Thimerosal to be harmful. Landmark Study Establishes Link Between the Aluminum in Most Vaccines & Autism

It is no question that the subject of vaccines is profoundly controversial. On both sides of the argument exists truth and lies that can hinder the ability of some to make rational decisions.


While we have everyone from attorneys to biologists, to political scientists who write for the Free Thought Project, none of us are doctors, so we do not make recommendations about what you and your family should do in regards to vaccination. That being said, when we see critical information about vaccines that fails to be covered in the mainstream media, we will cover it every time.


This is one of those times.


A peer-reviewed study published online this week and set to be published in the December volume of the Journal of Inorganic Biochemistry, conducted by scientists at the University of British Columbia, has established a link between a popular aluminum vaccine ingredient and autism.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Aluminum is present in U.S. childhood vaccines that prevent hepatitis A, hepatitis B, diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis (DTaP, Tdap), Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib), human papillomavirus (HPV) and pneumococcus infection.


This aluminum is added, according to the CDC, “ to increase the body’s immune response to the vaccine.”


While the CDC considers the addition of aluminum to vaccines to be safe, this study refutes that claim. Even outside of this study, it has been well established that Aluminum is a known neurotoxin and is highly biologically reactive and uniquely equipped to do damage to essential cellular (neuronal) biochemistry.


However, the findings of this study show the specific reactions aluminum administered through vaccines have in the brain that are homologous with biomarkers of autism.

The study’s title says it all.


Subcutaneous injections of aluminum at vaccine adjuvant levels activate innate immune genes in mouse brain that are homologous with biomarkers of autism


As J.B. Handley, Jr., co-founder of Generation Rescue, points out, this study corroborates a previous study conducted in France by Université Paris Est Créteil (UPEC), published in the journal Toxicology earlier this year which came to a similar conclusion. According to that study, the authors disputed the reasoning the FDA and CDC use to claim that it is safe to inject developing children with known neurotoxins.


“As a possible consequence, comparing vaccine adjuvant exposure to other non-relevant aluminum exposures, e.g. soluble aluminum and other routes of exposure, may not represent valid approaches.”



The French study found that as small doses of aluminum are injected over time, like during childhood vaccinations, it was more likely to end up in the brain. They concluded with the following warning:


“In the context of massive development of vaccine-based strategies worldwide, the present study may suggest that aluminum adjuvant toxicokinetics and safety require reevaluation.”


Now, only months after the French study, this Canadian study is showing similar results.



It thus appears that Al [aluminum adjuvant] triggered innate immune system activation and altered cholinergic activity in male mice, observations which are consistent with those in autism. Female mice were less susceptible to Al exposure as only the expression levels of NF-κB inhibitor and TNFA were altered. Regional patterns of gene expression alterations also exhibited gender differences, as frontal cortex was the most affected area in males and cerebellum in females. Thus, Al adjuvant promotes brain inflammation and males appear to be more susceptible to Al′s toxic effects.



What is important to note here is the fact that autism is more prevalent in male humans as well — about 80% of autistic children are boys — which coincides with the results of this study.

While the CDC claims the aluminum injected into children stays at the injection sites, this study actually showed the opposite.



Collectively, these findings refute the notion that adjuvant nanoparticles remain localized and act through a “depot effect”. On the contrary, Al derived from vaccine formulations can cross the blood-brain and blood-cerebrospinal fluid barriers and incite immunoinflammatory responses in neural tissues.



While this study is not a smoking gun, the fact that it corroborates a similar study on the other side of the globe, published in a different journal just months prior, should not be overlooked.



While the vitriolic crowd, who refers to everyone who seeks to make vaccines safer as rabid anti-vaxxers, will undoubtedly attempt to shout this study down, it is important that everyone heed the warning from the scientists who conducted it. They are not calling for the end of vaccinations, only issuing a warning about the potentially dangerous effects of injection aluminum.



“In addition, the continued use of aluminum adjuvants in various vaccines (i.e., Hepatitis A and B, DPT, and so on) for the general public may have even more widespread health implications. Until vaccine safety can be comprehensively demonstrated by controlled long-term studies that examine the impact on the nervous system in detail, many of those already vaccinated as well as those currently receiving injections may be at risk in the future. Whether the risk of protection from a dreaded disease outweighs the risk of toxicity is a question that demands urgent attention.”

Aluminum is the most widely distributed metal on the planet and it’s used in the production of many every-day products. Cookware is made from aluminum, soda cans are aluminum, and aluminum foil is found in most kitchens. Aluminum is also in antacids, aspirin, vaccines, and even flour. This overwhelming infestation of aluminum means that your risk of exposure is through the roof, which is also made of aluminum.Unlike vitamins, minerals, and trace elements, the body does not need aluminum. And aluminum is no innocent or benign participant. Aluminum accumulates in the kidneys, brain, lungs, liver and thyroid where it competes with calcium for absorption and can affect skeletal mineralization. In infants, this can slow growth. Animal models have linked aluminum exposure to mental impairments. [1]


Why is Aluminum Exposure Harmful?


Just as cigarette smoke damages lung function and overexposure to UV rays will degrade your skin, aluminum is an attacker and its target is your central nervous system. [2] Studies show that toxic metals contribute to brain diseases by producing oxidative stress and aluminum is one of the worst offenders. [1] The prevailing belief around the world is that aluminum is linked to degenerative brain diseases such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s.


Aluminum: Bad for Your Brain


According to Washington DC’s Department of the Planet Earth, United States and Canadian regulatory agencies are interested in aluminum as a potential risk factor in elderly cognitive impairment. It makes sense, research shows aluminum can produce toxic, oxidative stress in the brain and a brain autopsy study of elderly persons found them to have aluminum levels 20+ times higher than a middle-aged group. [3] [4] The Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry, part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, recognizes aluminum as one of several metals known to affect the neurological system. [5] As far as aluminum is concerned, the supreme brain-health concern is Alzheimer’s disease.



Aluminum and Alzheimer’s


Many of the formal inquiries into aluminum toxicity are specifically concerned with its association to Alzheimer’s. Consistently, experts agree that aluminum exposure is something to worry about.


  • The position of the Department of Neurology and Psychiatry at Saint Louis University is that aluminum may cause liver toxicity and lead to degenerative symptoms, including Alzheimer’s. [6]

  • Researchers at The School of Studies in Zoology at Jiwaji University in India describe aluminum as a potent neurotoxin associated with Alzheimer’s. [7]

  • The University of California, Irvine’s Department of Medicine has reported that aluminum causes inflammation in the brain. No surprise, Alzheimer’s disease is often associated with elevated inflammation. [8]

  • The University School of Medicine in Belgrade published information showing that drinking water with a high aluminum and low fluoride concentration is associated with Alzheimer’s risk. [9] Unfortunately, this is evident in New Guinea and Papua Islands where drinking water contains aluminum ions and ALS or Parkinson’s disease is collectively found. [10] The concern about aluminum pollution in drinking water has even reached as far away as Egypt. [11]

Aluminum as an Occupational Hazard


Exposure to aluminum, unfortunately, is common with some occupations like mining, factory work, and welding. Welding can be especially worrisome because it produces vapors that, when inhaled, send aluminum directly into the lungs in a “super absorption” status where it is released to the blood and distributed to the bones and brain. Researchers have repeatedly examined the consequence of inhaling aluminum vapors and the results are grim. Effects on memory and concentration have been cited. [12] An Italian study that compared 64 aluminum dust exposed workers with 32 unexposed controls found significantly higher levels of aluminum in the exposed employees and findings suggested aluminum to be to blame for early neurotoxic effects. [13]


Reduce Your Aluminum Exposure


Aluminum is one of the most abundant metals on earth and it has permeated mainstream products to the degree that it’s virtually impossible to completely avoid exposure. However, you can take certain measures to reduce your exposure. Use glass cookware instead of aluminum. Avoid hygiene products (antacids, deodorant) with aluminum hydroxide, natural substitutes are available. Avoid processed and frozen foods, their containers can contain aluminum. Instead opt for fresh, organic fruits and vegetables, and foods with responsible packaging. If toxic metal exposure is of concern to you, consider performing a toxic metal cleanse.
