Hillary Ignored Staffers’ Sexual Harassment Allegations

(ZHE) — The #MeToo movement is finally coming for Hillary Clinton, who has for years been dogged by accusations that she helped intimidate women accusing her husband of certain improprieties.

In a bombshell report, the New York Times reported that a senior adviser to Hillary Clinton was kept on her 2008 campaign despite allegations that he sexually harassed a young female staffer. Clinton’s campaign manager at the time advised the campaign to fire the adviser, Burns Strider, who served as the faith adviser to the campaign, and reportedly sent Clinton Bible verses every day.

Instead, Clinton intervened: Strider was kept on, but he was docked several weeks’ pay and underwent counseling. Notably, Strider was a founder of the American Values Network.

Five years later, Strider was hired by Clinton associates to lead Correct the Record, a group that supported Clinton’s candidacy. He was fired a few months later following allegations that he harassed a female staffer there.

A Clinton spokesman provided a statement from Utrecht, Kleinfeld, Fiori, Partners, the law firm that had represented the 2008 campaign.

“To ensure a safe working environment, the campaign had a process to address complaints of misconduct or harassment. When matters arose, they were reviewed in accordance with these policies, and appropriate action was taken, the statement said. “This complaint was no exception.”

The Times based its account on interviews with no fewer than eight former Clinton staffers.

Then-campaign manager Patti Solis Doyle and other senior officials discussed the situation involving Strider and Clinton’s response at the time. Some of them were bothered by the fact he was allowed to remain.

Clinton memorably waiting nearly a week before issuing a statement rebuking her former friend and fundraiser, Harvey Weinstein.

But this hasn’t stopped her from offering her full-throated support for the Women’s March and young women everywhere who are trying to realize their dreams…

The woman who filed the initial complaint against Strider was 30 at the time. She shared an office with him and alleged that he had rubbed her shoulders inappropriately, kissed her on the forehead and sent her a string of “suggestive” emails.

The woman’s complaint was relayed to Clinton by Doyle, who urged the candidate to fire Strider – he was married at the time. Clinton refused.

But perhaps the most galling detail in the story is the fact that the accuser has been prevented from coming forward by the NDA she signed when she took her job.

Lena Dunam, a Clinton supporter, even told the Times that she warned Clinton campaign aides about Weinstein and the fact that his history of assaults “is going to come out at some point.”

Nick Merrill, the former director of communications for the Clinton campaign, said such a warning would not have been ignored.

Report: Hillary Clinton PROTECTED Adviser Who Repeatedly Sexually Harassed Young Staffer

Liberal feminist icon and failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton protected one of her senior advisers during her 2008 presidential campaign after he was accused of repeatedly sexually harassing a young staffer, according to a bombshell new report in The New York Times.

The report, supposedly sourced by four different people familiar with the matter, details the allegations against Clinton faith adviser Burns Strider and the shocking fact that after his young subordinate came forward, Clinton herself apparently stepped in to keep him on her campaign while moving his alleged victim elsewhere.

The Times wrote:

Mrs. Clinton’s campaign manager at the time recommended that she fire the adviser, Burns Strider. But Mrs. Clinton did not. Instead, Mr. Strider was docked several weeks of pay and ordered to undergo counseling, and the young woman was moved to a new job.

Mr. Strider, who was Mrs. Clinton’s faith adviser, a co-founder of the American Values Network, and sent the candidate scripture readings every morning for months during the campaign, was hired five years later to lead an independent group that supported Mrs. Clinton’s 2016 candidacy, Correct the Record, which was created by a close Clinton ally, David Brock.

He was fired after several months for workplace issues, including allegations that he harassed a young female aide, according to three people close to Correct the Record’s management.

Mr. Strider did not respond to multiple requests for comment.

Those familiar with the accounts said that, over the years, a number of advisers urged Mrs. Clinton to sever ties with Mr. Strider, and people familiar with what took place did not want to see Mrs. Clinton blamed for the misconduct of men she was close to.

The allegations that Clinton specifically helped cover up sexual harassment while remaining close friends with the alleged attacker come at a time when women across industries throughout the country are coming forward with their stories of abuse and, in many cases, coverup afterwards.

The woman’s experience and the reaction to it have not been previously reported. Until now, former Clinton associates were unwilling to discuss the events for publication.

But that changed in the wake of the #MeToo movement, in which dozens of men across the country and across different industries, have been fired or suspended for sexual misconduct.

The complaint against Mr. Strider was made by a 30-year-old woman who shared an office with him. She told a campaign official that Mr. Strider had rubbed her shoulders inappropriately, kissed her on the forehead and sent her a string of suggestive emails, including at least one during the night, according to three former campaign officials familiar with what took place.

The complaint was taken to Ms. Doyle, the campaign manager, who approached Mrs. Clinton and urged that Mr. Strider, who was married at the time, be fired, according to the officials familiar with what took place. Mrs. Clinton said she did not want to, and instead he remained on her staff.

So not only did Clinton herself protect Strider, her own staff, who were completely aware of his conduct, refused to even speak about it for almost 10 years in order to protect Hillary and her political ambitions.

This is the Clinton machine at its finest folks and once again destroys the false media narrative surrounding who Hillary Clinton the person actually is.

One can imagine that Clinton operatives within the media will soon begin to downplay this shocking report while somehow blaming Donald Trump.

Mark it down. This will happen.

Guests were subject to trunk checks and mirror ‘bomb’ checks underneath their vehicles… Inside the hotel: various internal security checkpoints, hotel guests were being scanned coming off the elevator into the lobby, as well as traversing to the pool side of the hotel.”

The overprivileged glitterati sure like plenty of “security” when it’s their own precious hindquarters on the line, especially when others are paying for it — including taxpayers “progressive” Hollywood demands to see disarmed.  Then again, their main consistency of principle appears to be gluttonous self-gratification and promotion while oozing false virtue. That gives a special irony to celebrities embracing the #MeToo “movement”.

So when we see Meryl Streep decked out in her obligatory black #TimesUp evening gown, it’s fair to ask where she was in disapproving the likes of the odious Harvey Weinstein when she was embracing him instead? She didn’t see the value of throwing him under the bus until enough people started making noises about her conspicuous silence. Streep and her fellow “stars” really had “no idea” the guy was a perverted abuser? What excuse can they use for Roman Polanski?

Now Streep will never get to collaborate (appropriate word!) with Weinstein on “The Senator’s Wife,” a proposed anti-gun propaganda piece for which Harvey threatened he would make the NRA “wish they weren’t alive after I’m done with them.” But thanks to what happened at the Golden Globes, she found something else to say on camera that not only takes the focus off her own complicity and hypocrisy, but gives her and other play-actors something to rally around and send virtue signals over: the unfolding “Oprah Winfrey for President” crusade.

“She launched a rocket tonight. I want her to run for president,” Streep gushed after Winfrey put the bug in people’s ears during her lifetime achievement award acceptance speech. “I don’t think she had any intention [of declaring]. But now she doesn’t have a choice.”

Democrats are drooling at the possibilities and celebrity support is lining up.

The pundits are swooning.

And if there’s one thing Oprah shares with fellow celebrities (aside from an affinity for being with the abusers before she was against them) it’s disapproval of fans who can’t afford protective details yet have the gall to want to protect themselves.

“[W]e can uphold the Second Amendment and also reduce that violence that is robbing us of our children,” Winfrey declared while advocating for infringements. And to make sure “we” would have the votes, she called for “a clear path to citizenship for the 12 million undocumented immigrants who reside in this country.”

This is her idea of upholding the Second Amendment:

“Are assault weapons necessary? I just say, ‘Enough.’”

And those “12 million” will be happy to help.

You get a vote and you get a vote and you get a vote!

Besides, all us SPLC-defined “haters” ain’t gonna to be around forever, something Oprah and her supporters evidently look forward to:

Chris Matthews’ Sex Harassment Payout Means He Should Face Some Hardball Questions of His Own

Why is it people who can’t (or won’t) control themselves are so bent on controlling the rest of us?

“After weekend reports that NBC paid money to a female staffer in 1999 who accused MSNBC’s Chris Matthews of sexual harassment, the network kept mum for a second day about whether there were other women who had accused the longtime host of inappropriate behavior,” Fox News recounted Monday.

The Daily Caller broke the story on Saturday, reporting “Two sources familiar with the situation [said] that Matthews paid $40,000…”

In a way it’s satisfying to watch “the left” eat its own through a #MeToo madness phenomenon that’s long on allegation and short on substantiation, but nonetheless destructive enough to topple the mighty from high places. That doesn’t always work out for “the right,” as the defeat of Roy Moore and the resignation of Alex Kozinski both handed victories to “progressives” we will feel over the years in as-yet untold ways. But there’s an important distinction we should keep in mind: NBC and Matthews (like Congress with John Conyers and Alcee Hastings) paid out.

In Matthews’ case, there’s a special irony because he’s always presented himself as such a “progressive” champion.  We’re talking about a “true believer” whose takeaway from a Bill Clinton speech was:

 ‘That is the voice of God.”

It also lends itself to predictable jokes after listening to an Obama speech prompted him to share:

“I felt this thrill going up my leg.”

His off-mike commentary, where he was caught ogling Melania Trump, merely adds credence to a predilection for inappropriate workplace behavior.

Then again, appropriate workplace behavior, if you’re going to present yourself as a “journalist” (as opposed to an apparatchik) requires balance and sticking to facts, as opposed to naked advocacy.  Such as his unabashed braying for citizen disarmament…

And his lack of journalistic integrity came through loud and clear when Matthews  tag-teamed with Mark Potok of the Southern Poverty Law Center to try and gang up on  Oath Keepers founder Stewart Rhodes back in 2009:

What comes through loud and clear is if you’re telling the truth and know what you’re talking about, there’s nothing “progressives” can throw at you that you can’t fling back in their faces. And despite his resorting to Alinsky Rule 5 ridicule to disparage the concept of refusing to obey unlawful orders, here’s a hardball question Matthews should answer:

Are there any orders that female subordinates at MSNBC would be justified in refusing to obey?

The Left Is Trying To Use The #MeToo Movement As A Weapon To Destroy Donald Trump

The left is willing to use any means necessary to get rid of Donald Trump, and so it should be no surprise that they are now using the #metoo movement as a weapon in their crusade against him.  Personally, I have been a big fan of the #metoo movement, and I have been thrilled to see so many sexual predators exposed in recent months.  I applauded the exposure of Hollywood giants such as Harvey Weinstein and Kevin Spacey, and I believe that the resignations of Al Franken and John Conyers will be followed by many others as the truth about what has been happening on Capitol Hill continues to come out.

But we need to be very careful, because this kind of a thing can become a feeding frenzy, and in this type of environment it can be way too easy for false accusers to seem like they are telling the truth.

Every claim of sexual misconduct should be taken extremely seriously, and we should also never jump to conclusions.  A single false allegation can permanently ruin someone’s life, and those that are wealthy or famous are easy targets.

On Monday, Megyn Kelly interviewed three women that had formerly made allegations against President Trump.  The following comes from CNN…

On Monday morning, a trio of women — Rachel Crooks, Samantha Holvey and Jessica Leeds — went on Megyn Kelly’s NBC show to reiterate allegations of sexual misconduct against President Donald Trump that they first aired during the 2016 presidential campaign.

“We’re private citizens and for us to put ourselves out there to try to show America who this man is and especially how he views women and for them to say, we don’t care … it hurt,” Holvey told Kelly about how the allegations against Trump were handled during the 2016 campaign. “It’s just like, all right, let’s try round two. The environment’s different. Let’s try again.”

Millions of Americans are going to assume that since three women are all making allegations against Trump that they must be true.

But we already knew that the story that Jessica Leeds is telling is not accurate.  It turns out that there is an eyewitness that was sitting directly across the aisle from Leeds and Trump on the plane ride where the misconduct allegedly took place, and he says that it never happened.

The eyewitness is a British man named Anthony Gilberthorpe, and according to People magazine, he says that Trump didn’t do any of the things that Leeds is claiming…

“I have only met this accuser once and frankly cannot imagine why she is seeking to make out that Trump made sexual advances on her. Not only did he not do so (and I was present at all times) but it was she that was the one being flirtatious,”claimed Gilberthorpe, who is British.

And during an extended interview with Breitbart, Gilberthorpe gave an account of the flight from beginning to end…

“It was back in the days. I’d only visited America one time previous to that. I’m not familiar, as I’m sure with respect to a lot of American listeners tonight wouldn’t be familiar with a lot of our British businessmen,” he explained. “But he was nice. We were talking, we were laughing, he was reading, I was reading, et cetera. She came on, and she hogged the limelight. She wanted to talk to him in a most animated, exaggerated way. About 45 minutes after she had taken her seat and we had taken off, he went to use the toilet.”

Gilberthorpe said that during Trump’s absence, Leeds told him who his fellow passenger was, excitedly explaining that he was “one of the richest men in the world.”

“And her quote, not mine: ‘Oh, I can’t believe that I’m sitting next to him. I can’t believe it! This is the man I want to marry!’ Okay, it was all said in jest and joke, but she was so excited about having the chance, the opportunity, of sitting next to this man. I attempted to talk over to Trump, but she wasn’t really having much of it. I was talking to her, to him, for the remaining two-and-a-half hours of the journey. We landed in New York. Having landed, he politely said, ‘Goodbye,’ shook my hand, and shook hers. He didn’t kiss her, didn’t kiss her. And she and I left the plane together. She and I exchanged kisses. I went for my luggage. She did not go for her luggage. That’s another marker I’m putting down tonight,” he said.

After examining the evidence, I have come to the conclusion that Leeds is simply lying.  And that is a horrible thing to do, because she is discrediting the entire #metoo movement.

But the fact that Leeds is not telling the truth is not stopping Democratic lawmakers from using these allegations to hammer President Trump.  In fact, on Monday Senator Kirsten Gillibrand called for Trump to resign.

But that isn’t going to happen, and the White House is fighting back hard against these false allegations…

The White House released a fresh statement early Monday decrying the “false” claims of the women at the press conference.

“These false claims, totally disputed in most cases by eyewitness accounts, were addressed at length during last year’s campaign, and the American people voiced their judgment by delivering a decisive victory,” a White House spokesperson said in a statement. “The timing and absurdity of these false claims speaks volumes and the publicity tour that has begun only further confirms the political motives behind them.”

It is funny how the mainstream media never even wanted to address the very serious allegations of sexual misconduct against Bill and Hillary Clinton that kept arising, and yet anyone with any sort of a claim against Trump gets front page coverage.

Once again, every single allegation of sexual misconduct needs to be taken extremely seriously, and when there is a contested claim it is absolutely imperative that we take the time to figure out who is telling the truth and who is lying.

In our legal system, everyone is innocent until proven guilty, and we should apply the same approach in the court of public opinion as well.
