Active-Duty Soldier Speaks Out: The Tip-Toe Toward WW3 Has Now Turned Into Giant Steps

syria

Everything you thought you knew about U.S. involvement in Syria — and animosity toward Russia — has instead flourished from confusion wrought by intentional miscommunication and birthed from the minds of avid propagandists.

We know this with a degree of certainty, thanks to award-winning investigative journalist, Seymour Hersh, obtained perhaps the most naked evidence of hapless government duplicity resulting in an unknowable number of deaths and, astonishingly, even a preposterously harrowing likelihood of world war.

Communications between an active duty U.S. soldier and a security adviser, both unnamed by Hersh, prove the narrative proffered by corporate media and establishment politicians for months — that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad had carried out an horrific and deadly chemical weapons attack against Syrian civilians in Khan Sheikhoun — was a lie.

Should that not seem impactful enough, consider it was the assertion of a gruesome chemical attack by Assad against his own civilian populace which provided the putative impetus for U.S. retaliation in the firing of 59 missiles into the sovereign nation of Syria near Khan Sheikhoun, also resulting in a wholly unjustified number of civilian casualties.

Ineffectively destroying parts of a mostly-dormant airbase and killing innocents indeed, at the time, seemed a peculiar mission accomplished as broadcast news belched repetitively — and for good reason.

Beyond the determination Assad had not gassed his own, the U.S. knew there had been no chemical weapons incident, at all — and had been privy to cooperative intelligence among the warring parties that an airstrike would be carried out against a cache of weapons — characterized as a “legitimate military target” by the active duty soldier chat protocol with the adviser.

On April 6, 2017 — Hersh reported for German outlet, Die Welt — the American soldier seemed near panic in a communiqué to the security adviser, imploring,

“We got a fuckin‘ problem.”

“What happened?” the adviser asks. “Is it the Trump ignoring the Intel and going to try to hit the Syrians? And that we’re pissing on the Russians?”

Soldier: “This is bad…Things are spooling up.”

Adviser: “You may not have seen trumps press conference yesterday. He’s bought into the media story without asking to see the Intel. We are likely to get our asses kicked by the Russians. Fucking dangerous. Where are the godamn adults? The failure of the chain of command to tell the President the truth, whether he wants to hear it or not, will go down in history as one of our worst moments.”

Soldier: “I don’t know. None of this makes any sense. We KNOW that there was no chemical attack. The Syrians struck a weapons cache (a legitimate military target) and there was collateral damage. That’s it. They did not conduct any sort of a chemical attack […]

“And now we’re shoving a shit load of TLAMs (tomahawks) up their ass.”

Adviser: “There has been a hidden agenda all along. This is about trying to ultimately go after Iran. What the people around Trump do not understand is that the Russians are not a paper tiger and that they have more robust military capability than we do.”

Soldier: “I don’t know what the Russians are going to do. They might hang back and let the Syrians defend their own borders, or they might provide some sort of tepid support, or they might blow us the fuck out of the airspace and back into Iraq. I honestly don’t know what to expect right now. I feel like anything is possible.  The russian air defense system is capable of taking out our TLAMs.  this is a big fucking deal…we are still all systems go…

Adviser: “You are so right. Russia is not going to take this lying down.

“Who is pushing this? Is it coming from [General Joseph L. Votel, Commander of United States Central Command]?”

Soldier: “I don’t know. It’s from someone big though. . . . This is a big fucking deal.

“It has to be POTUS.

“They [the Russians] are weighing their options.  Indications are they are going to be passive supporters of syria and not engage their systems unless their own assets are threatened..in other words, the sky is fucking blue.’”

In case you missed it, the unnamed security adviser brazenly suggests feckless U.S. military aggression in Syria pertains to a murky, but penultimate, goal with Iran — that, and the altogether foreboding indication Russia, a foe who should not be and the object of Western provocation, would outperform American forces should hostilities flare.

Communications between the pair of insiders continued the following day, April 7:

Adviser: “What are the Russians doing or saying  Am I correct that we did little real damage to Russia or Syria?”

Soldier: “We didn’t hit a damn thing, thankfully. They retrograded all their aircraft and personnel. We basically gave them a very expensive fireworks display.

“They knew where ships were and watched the entire strike from launch to end game.

“The Russians are furious. Claiming we have the real Intel and know the truth about the weapons depot strike.

“They are correct.

“I guess it really didn’t matter whether we elected Clinton or Trump. Fuck.

“No one is talking about the entire reason we’re in Iraq and Syria in the first place. That mission is fucked now.”

Adviser: “Are any of your colleagues pissed or is everyone going along with it and saying this is OK.”

Soldier: “It’s a mad house. . . .Hell we even told the Russians an hour before impact.”

Adviser: “But they clearly knew it was coming.”

Soldier: “Oh of course.

“Now Fox is saying we chose to hit the Syrian airfield because it is where the chemical attacks were launched from. Wow. Can’t make this shit up.”

Adviser: “They are. I mean, making it up.”

Soldier: “It’s so fuckin evil.”

Adviser: “Amen!!!”

And, again, on April 8:

Soldier: “Russians are being extremely reasonable. Despite what the news is reporting they are still trying to deconflict and coordinate the air campaign.”

Adviser: “I don’t think the Russia yet understands how crazy Trump is over this.  And I don’t think we appreciate how much damage the Russians can do to us.”

Soldier: “They’re showing amazing restraint and been unbelievably calm. They seem mostly interested in de-escalating everything. They don’t want to lose our support in the help with destroying Isis.”

Adviser: “But I get the get the feeling are simply trying this approach for as long as they feel it might work. If we keep pushing this current aggressive stance they’re going to hit back.”

Die Welt ostensively withheld only information considered sensitive, including details pertaining to precise location and nature of operations — but, considering Hersh’ itinerant adherence to journalistic principles, the report should be examined with more than a grain of salt.

If, indeed, the communications prove true, the documents could reveal more about censorship, a possibly-rogue media establishment, and an undeniable foolishness — and, more keenly, helplessness — in the haphazard rush to many wars in the fulfillment of anachronistic goals.

We don’t need to be at war in Syria — nor should we be. And these communications prove, above all, those of us sounding the alarm for a year this addled Syrian conundrum would befall the U.S. had not done so in alarm — rather, in a growing awareness of the unscrupulous tactics possessed by an imperialist State circling the drain.

‘Al-Qaeda is On Our Side in Syria’ — Email Shows Clinton Knew US Worked With Terrorists

Jacob Jeremiah Sullivan is an American policymaker and a senior policy advisor to Hillary Clinton’s 2016 election campaign, who’s been seemingly attached to Clinton’s hip for nearly a decade.

Sullivan was widely rumored to be a front-runner for the position of U.S. National Security Advisor under a Hillary Clinton administration before she lost to Donald Trump in the 2016 Presidential Election. He was also Deputy Assistant to the U.S. President Barack Obama and National Security Advisor to U.S. Vice President Joe Biden.

He also served as the Director of Policy Planning at the U.S. Department of State, and as Deputy Chief of Staff to U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. He was deputy policy director for Hillary Clinton’s 2008 presidential primary campaign and a member of the debate preparation team for Barack Obama’s general election campaign.

For all intents and purposes, it is safe to call Sullivan a well-connected D.C. insider.

Now, according to a recently discovered email from WikiLeaks, he knew the US was working alongside Al-Qaeda in Syria — and, by proxy, so did then-Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton.

While it may come as no surprise, to those who’ve been paying attention, that the US has been arming and supporting terrorists in Syria, this email, confirming Clinton’s knowledge of it prior to Obama’s ‘red line’ in 2013, is nothing short of bombshell.

While the United States admittedly gave supplies to the ‘rebels’ as early as 2011, these supplies were all non-lethal, meaning they came in the form of food, trucks, and other rations. However, through covert lines, the CIA quickly began to dump cash, weapons, and eventually heavy artillery into the hands of the ‘moderate rebels’ over the course of the next few years.

What this email shows is that the US knew Al-Qaeda leader al-Zawahiri called on Muslims in Turkey and the Middle East to aid the rebels in the Free Syrian Army. From this day forward, the lines between who Al-Qaeda or the ‘rebels’ actually were — became heavily blurred. But, according to the email, the state department did not care as they knew Al-Qaeda was on their side.

As the email states:

UNCLASSIFIED U.S. Department of State Case No. F-2014-20439 Doc No. C05789138 Date: 10/30/2015 AL-ZAWAHIRI URGES MUSLIM SUPPORT FOR OPPOSITION (U) Al-Qaida leader al-Zawahiri called on Muslims in Turkey and the Middle East to aid rebel forces in their fight against supporters of Syrian President Asad in an interne video recording. Al-Zawahiri also urged the Syrian people not to rely on the AL, Turkey, or the United States for assistance.euters)

Once this wire went out to multiple departments in the form of an Ops Alert, apparently there may have been some original concern about Al-Qaeda joining the ranks of the US-supported rebels — which were being used by the American Deep State to destabilize Syria on behalf of special interests. However, Sullivan quickly replied to his master, Hillary Clinton, to let her know that Al-Qaeda “is on our side in Syria.”

This email adds credence to the claims of Rep. Tulsi Gabbard — who was forced to take action to stop the US/ISIS collusion in Syria — by proposing a bill to “Stop Arming the Terrorists.” Last month, Gabbard called on President Trump to “end the regime change in Syria,” adding that this is what is causing the refugee crisis. While some were hopeful that Trump may comply, after last week, all hope was lost.

“For years, our government has been providing both direct and indirect support to these armed militant groups, who are working directly with or under the command of terrorist groups like Al-Qaeda and ISIS, all in their effort and fight to overthrow the Syrian government,” Gabbard said in an interview last month.

Shortly after Gabbard proposed this monumental legislation, she received bipartisan support from Sen. Rand Paul. Paul, a Republican, and Gabbard, a Democrat, have symbolically joined hands in calling on the federal government to be more accountable with how and to whom it gives money and material support.

The S. 532, the Stop Arming Terrorists Act, “Makes it illegal for any U.S. federal government funds to be used to provide assistance covered in the bill, including weapons, munitions, weapons platforms, intelligence, logistics, training, and cash, to terrorists.”

Going further, the bill, “Prohibits the U.S. government from providing such assistance covered in the bill to any nation that has given or continues to give such support to terrorists.”

Whether or not this bill will actually pass, or whether or not Trump will veto it after its passage, remains a mystery.

However, thanks to WikiLeaks, US citizens now have a far clearer picture of what is going on, and who exactly, is supporting whom in Syria.

Investigative Journalist Poisoned to Death While Covering Corrupt Oil Companies

Yemen — A top Yemeni investigative journalist who died under dubious circumstances — while investigating corruption by oil companies — was poisoned, an autopsy now reveals.

Mohammed al-Absi — “whose work explored the corrupt relations between powerful militias and prominent businessmen,” reports the New Arab — was having dinner in capital city, Sana’a, with a cousin in December when both had to be rushed to the hospital — and the prominent journalist ultimately died.

Al-Absi’s sudden and inexplicable death fueled suspicions among friends and family, as well as from the Yemeni journalists’ union — which called for an investigation.

Some speculated al-Absi had suffered a heart attack or other acute condition, but — delaying a proper funeral for three weeks — samples were flown to Jordan for analysis and proved this week the journalist had been poisoned.

Both the Yemeni Journalists’ Syndicate and the International Federation of Journalists — which have joined forces to demand an official probe — issued a statement of mourning shortly after al-Absi’s untimely death, with IFJ President Philippe Leruth stating,

“We are troubled by the passing of Mohamed al-Absi in such unclear circumstances and support his family and the YJS in their demands for a serious and independent investigation in the case as well as an autopsy by a doctor representing the union to clarify the cause of his death.”

OilPrice.com reports, “Al-Absi was a prominent Yemeni investigative journalist said to have been investigating oil companies owned by Houthi leadership. He had published a series of reports over the past years, focused on corruption, particularly in the energy industry and in relation to arms deals.

“Human rights activists are responsible for the claims that Al-Absi was investigating oil and gas companies allegedly operating on the black market. Activists published several documents that were in the journalist’s possession after his death.”

According to the outlet, one of the documents published post mortem concerns Houthi spokesman Mohammed Abdul Salam, who allegedly owns an oil company primarily working the black market to sell in Houthi rebel-controlled areas of Yemen, while the New Arab says another surrounds Dagsan Mohammed Dagsan, an arms dealer.

Journalists have always faced stated and unstated threats of physical harm when investigating behind-the-curtain business dealings and political corruption — and the mysterious demise of al-Absi appears to be no exception.

“In a joint statement, advocates called upon the state prosecution to start a ‘transparent investigation’ saying that al-Absi played an ‘exceptional role against corruption,’” the New Arab reports.

A separate statement from the groups investigating the death — including his family, two local nongovernmental organizations (NGOs), the YJS, and Sana’a Center for Studies — emphasized they had “not received financial support from any party or political entity” to conduct the probe.

News al-Absi had been fatally poisoned comes amid incendiary tensions of the proxy war between Iran and Saudi Arabia over Yemen — and further bellicose posturing by the United States over the supposed threat of terrorism from Tehran.

Journalists reporting from conflict zones in the Middle East have been persecuted and even killed for their efforts — besides al-Absi, American journalist Serena Shim died in Turkey in 2014, under wholly suspicious conditions while investigating connections between various politicians and the Islamic State.

Although crucial details about the poisoning of al-Absi remain unknown, the fact he was covering corruption and the dealings of oil companies certainly lends potential motivation for murder.
