Toronto Mass Homicide: Van Attack Leaves 10 Dead And 15 Injured

A mass homicide in Toronto is not being plastered all over mainstream media, because the homicidal maniac who committed this atrocity used a van, not a gun as his weapon. The attack has left ten people dead and another 15 injured.

You may have heard this mentioned, but there won’t be calls to ban or regulate gas tank sizes on vans in the wake of this mass homicide.  (Who needs a 20-gallon fuel tank anyway?)

Toronto Police Chief Mark Saunders said that the suspected driver, Alek Minassian, 25, of Richmond Hill, Ontario, was in custody. Minassian was arrested in a white rental van less than 30 minutes after police received a 911 call about him striking pedestrians with a van, Saunders said.

Proving that guns aren’t the problem, the problem is psychopaths who kill other people, authorities said Minassian left a “trail of destruction” over one mile long in Toronto without using a gun.  The suspect was also previously known to Toronto authorities.

Deputy Police Chief Peter Yuen said police received calls around 1:30 p.m. that a vehicle was driving on Yonge Street, striking pedestrians. Police said the collisions happened in the North York area at the busy intersection of Yonge Street and Finch Avenue.

“Based on witness accounts, we have a vehicle that started north on Yonge Street from Finch and drove southbound at some point in times on sidewalks, at some point in times driving southbound in northbound lanes,” Saunders said.  “So, it’s very clear just from a general perspective to say that the actions definitely look deliberate.” At this point, “There would appear to be no national security connection” to the incident, said Ralph Goodale, Canada’s minister of public safety and emergency preparedness.

Now, if the gun control activists reacted to this tragedy the way they do to crazy people shooting ten people, they’de say: “but thoughts and prayers don’t stop tragedies.  What about laws making it illegal to rent vans instead?’  But we know now for certain that they don’t want to stop atrocities from happening, they only want the government to have all the guns – which historically, has not worked out very well for the general public. 

This van attack is a horrific mass homicide and ten people are permanently gone because of the actions of one maniac.  That should never be downgraded just because his weapon of choice didn’t fit the mainstream media’s communist agenda.  Thoughts and prayers for all of those affected by this disgusting act of malice.

Mogadishu Truck Bomb Kills 300, In Worst Terror Attack On Somalia

In what is now being called the “worst terrorist attack” ever on Somalia, at least 300 people have been declared dead after a truck bomb went off. The attack, which has also injured hundreds seriously is being blamed on militant group al-Shabaab.

The death toll in the bombing that hit the center of Mogadishu on Saturday may still continue to rise as some people are still missing and life-saving efforts are underway for those who suffered severe injuries. The scale of the loss makes the attack, which involved a truck packed with several hundred kilograms of military-grade and homemade explosives, one of the most lethal terrorist acts anywhere in the world for many years.

This major mass homicide was committed without guns, and the death toll dwarfs that of the Las Vegas shooting.  Monday morning, Somalia’s information minister announced that 276 people had died in the attack with at least 300 people injured. Within mere hours, however, Abdikadir Abdirahman, the director of Amin ambulances, said his service had confirmed that 300 people died in the blast. Some reports put the number of casualties as high as 500. “The death toll will still be higher because some people are still missing,” Abdirahman told Reuters.

Even more terrifying, is that the exact death toll may actually never be known because the intense heat generated by the blast meant the remains of many people would not be found. More victims continue to be dug from the rubble spread over an area hundreds of meters wide in the center of the city.

According to The Guardian, the bomb, which is thought to have targeted Somalia’s foreign ministry, was concealed in a truck and exploded near a hotel, demolishing the building and several others. Sources close to the Somali government said the truck had been stopped at a checkpoint and was about to be searched when the driver suddenly accelerated. It crashed through a barrier, then exploded. This ignited a fuel tanker parked nearby, creating a massive fireball.

The devastating bombing, which provoked international condemnation, will focus attention on the decade-long battle against al-Shabaab, an Islamist group, in Somalia. Earlier this year, Al-Shabab vowed to increase its attacks after both the Trump administration and Somalia’s recently elected president announced new military efforts against the group.

“There’s nothing I can say. We have lost everything,” said Zainab Sharif, a mother of four who lost her husband in the attack. She sat outside a hospital where he was pronounced dead after doctors tried for hours to save him from an arterial injury.

Muna Haj, 36, said: “Today, I lost my son who was dear to me. The oppressors have taken his life away from him. I hate them. May Allah give patience to all families who lost their loved ones in that tragic blast … And I pray that one day Allah will bring his justice to the perpetrators of that evil act.”

The president, Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed, declared three days of national mourning and joined thousands of people who responded to a plea by hospitals to donate blood for the wounded. “I am appealing to all Somali people to come forward and donate,” he said. –The Guardian

Dr. Mohamed Yusuf, the director of Mogadishu’s Medina hospital, said his staff had been “overwhelmed by both dead and wounded. This is really horrendous, unlike any other time in the past.” Some the bodies and those critically injured were burned so badly that they were unrecognizable.

Florida Sheriff Declares “THIS IS WAR!” Tells Americans To Arm Up

A Florida Sheriff’s video, which urges civilians to arm themselves and prepare for war, is quickly making the rounds on social media.  But he has point when one listens logically.  He warns that when a mass murderer strikes, the government won’t immediately be there to save you; it’ll be your job to save yourself.

Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey posted the controversial video message on Facebook Wednesday, two days after a deadly workplace shooting in nearby Orlando claimed the lives of five people.  The Florida sheriff urged citizens to arm themselves in self-defense saying “this is war.”

He doesn’t mean war in the sense that nukes will be flying, but the war against mass homicides and sociopaths who only seek the destruction of human life.   “What’s next is to fully understand that this is war, and you better be prepared to wage war to protect you, your family, and those around you if attacked,” he said. Ivey stressed that attackers rely on people running, hiding, and waiting for help, rather than fighting back.  And they will use guns, knives, bombs, and even trucks to kill innocents. “What they don’t count on is being attacked themselves, having to become defensive to save their own lives,” Ivey argued.

Become the first line of defense to prevent the loss of life, and protect yourselves and others.  That was the underlying message the sheriff sought to convey.

Ivey’s video is irritating anti-gun lobbyists and politicians who seem content with letting people die with a minimal chance of survival.  Ivey encouraged people to take self-defense classes and urged those with concealed weapons permits to carry their guns with them at all times. “No matter who you are or what your position is on guns, there’s no denying the fact that the only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun or a knife is an armed and well-prepared citizen or law enforcement officer,” Ivey said.  Ivey is simply stating the obvious.  Yet, he’s being called “controversial.”

Ivey’s being accused of “fear mongering” and riling up vigilantes for refusing to tow the line. As those in government, police included, continue to lean toward more gun control, (for everyone but themselves, of course) it’s becoming obvious that those in charge want us to suffer at the whims of the sociopathic mass murderers. Leonard Papania, the police chief in Gulfport, Mississippi, spoke out against weakening gun regulations to the New York Times, saying, “Do you want every incident on your street to escalate to acts of gun violence?”

Gun control is a sensitive issue for most, as the logical in society understand that gun ownership doesn’t make one a mass murdering homicidal maniac or terrorist.  But the emotional side of people inhibits their brain from understanding that a gun can be used in self-defense, and may even prevent the loss of innocent life. When guns become outlawed, only outlaws will have guns.  An old saying, but one the hoplophobes seem to continue to forget.
