(RT.com) A UFO conspiracist has uncovered what he believes is proof that the moon landings were fake, although his detective work has drawn criticism.
“Does Astronaut’s visor reflection show a stagehand on the Apollo fake Moon set?” is the question posed by Streetcap1, who shared his recent discovery on YouTube.
The photo in question is taken from the Apollo 17 mission, which took place in late 1972. Eugene Cernan and Harrison Schmitt spent about 22 hours exploring the surface and were the last humans to walk on the moon.
The moon landings have been the source of scepticism for conspiracy theorists ever since astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin set foot on the moon in 1969.
According to Streetcap1, who took a picture of the NASA image using his “software,” the astronaut’s visor reflection appears to show a man “not wearing a spacesuit,” standing on the moon.
“It looks like a man back in the early 1970s, long hair, you know,” he said. “He is wearing some sort of, I don’t know, waistcoat type thing… one leg there, with one shoe, another leg and a shadow of that figure presumably.”
Streetcap1 says he wasn’t a moon landing disbeliever until he came across the suspicious image. “I sort of think we did make it to the Moon, but this is starting to make me think if we did because where is this guy’s spacesuit?”
Streetcap1’s video divided opinion, with some people surprised to have their suspicions raised.
“Pretty Earth-shaking for a believer in the landing,” a commentator said.
“I vote astronaut… the shadow on the ground looks more like an astronaut in a bulky suit,” said another.
However, other photographs taken from the Apollo 17 mission suggest the “stagehand” in the helmet reflection is likely the other astronaut.
One image shared on the NASA website shows Cernan on the moon, with another astronaut clearly seen in his helmet’s reflection.

As Cernan and Schmitt performed three moonwalks over three days, pilot Ronald E. Evans stayed orbiting the moon during this time, in the command service module of the spacecraft.
Examining NASA’s history site, which contains thousands of images from the mission, along with the accompanying transcript of footage taken on the moon, the astronaut pictured is likely Schmitt.
An image shared on NASA’s site shows Schmitt standing next to the large boulder featured in the suspicious image. It was taken by Cernan. If Schmitt turned toward Cernan, he would have been in an ideal position for Cernan’s reflection to be captured in Schmitt’s helmet.

Cameras
The Apollo 17 mission aimed to capture precise images for mapping and examining the lunar surface. Multiple cameras were used on the surface of the moon, meaning there were many different cameras that could have captured the astronaut with the helmet reflection.
The astronauts had three battery powered 70-millimeter Hasselblad cameras which were attached to their chests, the Lunar Planetary Institute reports. They also carried a 16-millimeter Maurer Data Acquisition Camera that could be handheld or mounted to the lunar module and lunar roving vehicle.
A lunar surface TV camera was also used and operated from three positions, either mounted on a tripod, or on the modularized equipment storage assembly (MESA). “The camera could be aimed and controlled by the astronauts or remotely controlled by personnel in the mission control center,” LPI said.
NASA doesn’t comment on specific moon hoax theories, but it has said in the past that it did go to the moon.

Genius German moon rocket designer, Wernher von Braun, had this to say about the mathematical facts required to reach the moon in his forgotten published book “Voyage to the Moon” . . .
“It is commonly (and falsely) believed that men will fly directly from the Earth to the moon, but to do this we would require a vehicle of such gigantic proportions that it would prove an economic impossibility. CALCULATIONS HAVE BEEN CAREFULLY WORKED OUT on the type of vehicle we would need for the nonstop flight from the Earth to the moon and to return. THE FIGURES SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES: THREE rockets would be necessary, EACH rocket ship would (need to) be TALLER THAN THE EMPIRE STATE BUILDING (1250 FEET) and weigh about TEN TIMES the tonnage of the Queen Mary (or some 800,000 TONS).”
The “moon rocket” the United States Government could afford weighed just 2500 tons (a difference of 32,000 percent) and was just 363 feet tall . . . and there was just one of them, rather than the THREE required. Furthermore, Braun went on to say that a Space Station MUST be constructed BEFORE a manned mission to the moon, from which to ferry the three rockets with the necessary extra fuel, needed to reach the moon and return. (The International Space Station was not completed until 2011.) Braun further INSISTED that after once landing on the moon, crews would have to find or dig a cave in which to shelter themselves from thousands of micrometeorites per hour hitting the moon’s surface traveling at speeds in excess of 20,000 miles per hour, which would inevitably puncture the spacecraft, as well as the astronaut’s spacesuit, causing catastrophic, and fatal, environmental decompression. This, of course, like the other requirements, was NEVER DONE.
When the government told the man in charge of the “moon rocket” to adjust his numbers “a little bit” to reflect a fictitious way to reach the moon with the available resources and technology of the time, he immediately, and obediently, dramatically recanted on his previously INDISPUTABLE figures which “SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES” and had been “CAREFULLY WORKED OUT“. Did I mention that this man in charge of the “moon” program’s authenticity, Wernher von Braun, was a former World War Two Nazi whom our own government’s State Department is on the record for saying that, had he not prematurely died shortly after the “moon missions”, he would have been immediately thereafter indicted for War Crimes for overseeing the genocide, and the cover-up thereof, of hundreds of innocent people during the war? This threat of blackmail was obviously used to gain his obedient submission to the government deception and his “adjustment” of irrefutable mathematical calculations.
BOTH rocket and fuel calculations could not be true AT THE SAME TIME, thusly Von Braun caved to political pressure from the United States government, or he was a highly incompetent mathematician, being in error of fuel calculations by a factor of 32,000 PERCENT. If the latter, how could such a fool get us to the moon on the VERY FIRST ATTEMPT with 1960’s technology in the first place, when the feat cannot even be repeated TODAY with FIFTY YEARS more advancements in rockets and computers?

Has there ever been a milestone accomplishment of mankind, whether it be the four minute mile, or climbing Mount Everest, or breaking the sound barrier, that once achieved, no one from any nation on earth was able to repeat the same accomplishment for seventy years? Of course not . . . except . . . man allegedly walking on the moon in 1969 (as twenty years from now is the earliest projected “repeat” of the event, though fifty years ago it allegedly only took eight years to develop the technology to do so).
Funny, that with one millionth the computing power in all of 1960’s NASA than a modern day cell phone, they claimed to have traveled one thousand times farther than an astronaut can travel today, and that on the very first attempt. Even here on earth, the summit of Mount Everest and the South Pole were first met with death, failure, and numerous attempts before success was finally achieved, as was the case with the Wright Brothers repeated efforts before getting a mere twenty feet off the ground.
Another strange anomaly, according to NASA astronaut Don Pettit, NASA “deliberately destroyed the technology” which they painstakingly designed and created to go to the moon in the 1960’s, at a modern day cost of ONE HUNDRED FIFTY BILLION DOLLARS . . . Wait a second . . . Imagine Bill Gates spending 150 Billion Dollars to build the first computer, and then once successfully completing it, throwing the computer with its blueprints into a furnace . . . Would anyone EVER – EVER – EVER do such a crazy thing??????? . . . Of course not . . . yet . . . this IS what NASA did with the technology they claimed could reach the moon in the 1960’s.
This is proof itself that the “moon missions” were fraudulent . . . Here’s why . . .
If you really went to the moon and spent 150 BILLION Dollars to do so, you would NEVER – EVER – EVER deliberately throw away such precious hard earned technology . . . NEVER!!!!!!! Has anyone ever deliberately thrown away breakthrough technology in the entire history of the world? . . . Of course not. Even the atomic bomb, though this technology should have been thrown away, was cherished with relish, protected will all security, and then multiplied and improved upon one hundredfold within just ten years. (Thusly, if the moon landings were real, men would have walked on Mars decades ago.)
On the other hand, if NASA faked going to the moon, and a detailed analysis of the engineering specifications could prove mathematically that the rocket did not have enough fuel to reach its destination and return, or that the onboard computers were not fast enough to process the complicated trajectories in real time as the mission required, or that the power in the lunar module batteries was not sufficient to supply the air conditioning to combat exterior temperatures of 252 degrees Fahrenheit (122 Celsius) for three days without cooking alive the crew inside, THEN yes indeed NASA would definitely destroy any and all proof of their deception, which is exactly what they did.
Again, if NASA really went to the moon, they would NEVER – EVER destroy this important technology. If, on the other hand, NASA faked going to the moon, then they would most definitely destroy the blueprints that would prove it a technological impossibility. Thusly, the fact that NASA DID destroy the technological blueprints is CONCRETE PROOF that THEY DID NOT GO TO THE MOON. End of story.
It amazes me that despite the fact that today, with FIFTY YEARS more advancements in computer and rocket technology, the farthest that an astronaut can travel from the earth is 1/1000th the distance that they claimed to have done on the very first attempt in 1969 with 1/millionth the computing power of a cell phone, then deliberately destroying the proof of how they did it afterwards, and yet people still believe, out of their overzealous pride in mankind, that the moon landings were real.
“God opposes the proud, yet gives grace to the humble.” (James 4:6)
“The humble will inherit the earth.” (Psalm 37:11)
Pride is simply the un-willingness to be wrong, just as humility is the willingness to be wrong. Pride also blinds you from seeing the Truth.
I too used to believe that the moon landings were real, in fact I was their biggest fan. I then had to admit that I was wrong and that mankind is great . . . great at deception and criminality. Dr. Justin Imel, Director of Technology at the World Bible Institute, recently admitted likewise. He and I both had to conceded that the evidence is more than sufficient to prove that NASA and the Nixon administration lied about the alleged “moon landings.” After all, it is probably the most harmless lie the government has ever told and the only crime of theirs possibly considered “positive”.
