The CDC Is Warning Of A Second Wave Of The Flu

The Centers for Disease Control are making one final push to help vaccine manufacturers make as much money as possible on this year’s ineffective flu shot.  They are now warning that there’s a second wave of the flu and it’s beginning now.

According to a March 23 statement by the government organization, a wave of the sometimes fatal Influenza B virus is spreading across the country at an unusually high rate. Although reported cases of influenza A (H3N2), which have dominated this flu season, decreased during the week of March 11, cases of Influenza B saw an unusual uptick over the same time period.

The CDC has specifically focused on children this time around. “We know that illness associated with influenza B can be just as severe as illness associated with influenza A,” CDC spokeswoman Kristen Nordlund told CNN. “We also know that influenza B tends to be more severe for younger children.” Because of this, the CDC is hoping to convince those who didn’t get this year’s horribly ineffective flu vaccine will jump on the bandwagon, and get it now.

The CDC recommends flu shots for the unvaccinated while strains continue to circulate. It is possible for people who’ve been sick with one strain of the flu to get a different strain in the same season. Even though flu activity is declining, this second wave of influenza B cases was not unexpected, Nordlund said. “We often see a wave of influenza B during seasons when influenza A H3N2 was the predominant virus earlier in the season. Unfortunately, we don’t know what the influenza B wave will look like.”

During the week ending March 17, nearly 58% of all laboratory-confirmed cases of flu were caused by B-strain viruses, according to the CDC report. Circulating strains this season, which began in October, were a mix of A viruses (H3N2 and H1N1) and B viruses.

The flu has grown into a massive $1.6 billion business and propaganda campaign. There are a few major makers of the vaccine in the U.S.: Sanofi Pasteur is the largest, supplying a projected 65 million doses or more in 2015, followed by Australian company CSL, at up to 54 million doses (after acquiring Novartis’s flu vaccine unit in August), and GlaxoSmithKline, at up to 38 million doses.

CDC Corruption: Corporate Science Cover-Ups And How They Enrich The Politically Elite

cdcdirector

The elitists in government have their pawns in the mainstream media to do their dirty work and cover up the scandals that arise from corporate science and the subsequent enrichment of the political parties in power. But the CDC director’s resignation is shining a new light on the agency that’s been corrupted for years.

Just days ago, the head of the Centers for Disease Control, Brenda Fitzgerald, abruptly resigned after it was revealed that she owned shares of big tobacco companies, as well as a prominent vaccine manufacturing company called Merck, whose products are often promoted by the CDC.  Of course, it doesn’t take much “connecting of the dots” to realize what a gross conflict of interest that was; and Americans should be outraged.  But they aren’t.

According to Natural News, the corruption of Fitzgerald does not stop there either. Fitzgerald also purchased shares of junk food companies during her time as director of the CDC, which is certainly outrageous but really shouldn’t come as much of a surprise. After all, back in 2016, the director of the CDC’s Division for Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention was caught using her influence to favor Coca-Cola and PepsiCo.

This corruption isn’t new; Fitzgerald’s resignment, however, sheds fresh light on the problems and the corruption within the CDC and how the government agency goes about promoting certain products for human consumption. While most human beings would agree that tobacco and junk food are not considered to be products that are “in one’s best interest” to consume, far too many people still don’t understand the threat that the vaccine industry poses to our country. Just days ago, Natural News published an article on how the vaccine industry is now in panic mode as a result of children dying all across America after receiving flu shots.

Yet, the former CDC director has shares of Merck, and the CDC, of course, promotes vaccines like it’s some kind of a magic shield protecting one’s body from illness.  Which isn’t the case at all. With the global vaccine market now at over a trillion dollars, vaccine safety should be of utmost concern to the CDC. But instead, rather than testing and monitoring the health effects of vaccines and patient injuries truthfully to the American public and making critical and necessary corrections in the program, the CDC has become a mouthpiece for industry and has protected the ‘all vaccines for all children’ policy despite peer-reviewed science to the contrary.

According to the World Mercury Project, a UPI Investigative article written in the early 2000s highlights just a sliver of the corruption surrounding the CDC and vaccines. The CDC owned at least 28 vaccine patents. They are also in charge of vaccine promotion (getting the public to take vaccines) and vaccine safety. The CDC, like other large bureaucratic agencies, also has a revolving door to an industry that comes with inherent conflicts of interests. Common sense should have told us that this system was doomed to fail.

All of this corruption pads the pockets of the political elite while sickening the general public.

*This is not to say one should or should not receive a vaccination; but one should conduct their own research and look into independent studies (although, admittedly difficult to find) that will detail the potential benefits and side effects before making a decision.

FLU OUTBREAK: Now Impacting 46 States, Epidemic is ‘Widespread’

flusuits

This year’s strain of the flu is now widespread, spanning 46 states, and can make you fatally sick.  Coupled with how fast the flu has struck, an ineffective vaccine, and how early it hit, this year is shaping up to be one of the worst ones yet for the flu virus.

The strain responsible for the outbreak is H3N2, a particularly deadly variety of influenza and the number of cases have spiked, with 46 states now reporting widespread activity, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says. The CDC also claims that at least 13 children have died from the flu since October when the season began to really get into full swing.

California has been particularly hard hit, with at least 27 deaths of people under 65 attributed to the flu, according to reports. As the number of cases continues to climb there, hospitals are beginning to run out of Tamiflu, the anti-viral medication used to treat the illness.

The most identified strain of the virus is influenza A (H3N2). According to a CDC emergency health advisory released December 27, 83 percent of reported cases were N3N2, a strain associated with more hospitalizations and deaths in those over 65 years of age and in young children compared to other age groups.

During this year’s flu season in Australia, the vaccine was only 10 percent effective. The CDC still says you should get the flu shot because it will lessen the suffering from symptoms should you contract the flu, even though it will make you sicker in later years.

“How well the vaccine works can depend in part on the match between the vaccine virus used to produce the vaccine and the circulating viruses that season,” the CDC notes. “It’s not possible to predict what viruses will be most predominant during the upcoming season.” The agency also noted that the vaccine is ineffective due to the mutative nature of this year’s flu strain.

The CDC recommends that all people over the age of five get the shot to reduce the symptoms of the virus.  “It’s not too late to get a flu vaccine — as long as flu is spreading vaccination should continue,” the CDC’s Kristen Nordlund told weather.com. “It’s important to know that it takes about two weeks for protection to set in.”

*This is not to say you should or should not get the flu shot.  You should, however, do some research, and know the risks, side effects, and possible complications down the line should you chose to get or not get this year’s flu shot. This should help you come to the right conclusion for yourself.

Flu Outbreak: Deadly Influenza Virus Ravages Oregon And Idaho

flu

Oregon is one of 36 states nationwide reporting high levels of a flu outbreak, according to the U.S. Center for Disease Control. More than 120 Oregonians have been hospitalized for the flu in the week leading up to Christmas.

“It’s just one of those years where the CDC is seeing that this strain of flu is only somewhat covered by the vaccine,” Jennifer Radtke, manager for infection prevention at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, told USA Today. Although “somewhat covered” is a bit of a stretch considering the vaccine is only about 10% effective this year. “They’re seeing that it’s anywhere from 10 to 33 percent effective, so anytime there’s a mismatch between the vaccine and the circulating strain of the flu, you’re going to see more cases.”

Ann Thomas, a public health physician for the Oregon Health Authority, said the flu virus mutates so quickly, it’s a “roll of the dice each year.” Some mutations or subtypes, such as H3N2, are more dangerous, especially for people over the age of 65. And even though the vaccine is ineffective, government agents and health officials recommend getting the flu shot.

Last year was Oregon’s worst year on record for the number of hospitalizations, she said. This year appears to be on the same track. As of December 29, 335 cases of influenza-related hospitalizations in the Portland tri-county area alone were reported by the state for the 2017-18 season, Thomas said.

Salem Health’s Infection Prevention Manager Julie Koch said about 25 percent of patients in the region tested for flu showed positive. Koch said they are seeing both of flu types A and B this year. Both are “protected” against in this year’s shot, as well as flu A(H3), which seems to be predominant at this time.

But there is evidence to suggest that the flu shot actually increases the chance of getting sick.

So should you get the shot?  Doctors and the government will tell you that you still need to be vaccinated against the flu every year. But Mike Adams, the Health Ranger, says that getting an annual flu shot is “all a big lie from the vaccine industry.”

Washington state has reported 20 lab-confirmed influenza-related deaths for the 2017-2018 season, as of December 23, and Idaho has seen more flu-related deaths at this point in the season than at the same time in the previous seven seasons. Every year, influenza contributes to an estimated 36,000 deaths in the United States, along with more than 200,000 hospitalizations.

Outbreak Alert: Hepatitis A Continues To Worsen In Michigan

hepa

More than 600 Hepatitis A cases have been reported in Southeast Michigan as the outbreak continues to ravage the communities. Public health officials are continuing to see these numbers elevate, and warn that it will continue to worsen as we approach the holidays.

According to Voice News, more than 80 percent of those who have contracted the highly contagious liver disease have required hospitalization. Another 20 people have died after becoming infected with the virus. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention say that symptoms can be mild or severe depending on the health of the person who contracts the virus. The elderly and those with existing liver conditions are the most at risk. Those infected can be contagious for up to two weeks before showing any symptoms, which include fever, fatigue, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, abdominal and joint pain, yellowing of the skin, dark urine and light-colored stools.

The virus is spread through direct person-to-person contact, contaminated food and beverages, and illicit drug use. But this outbreak is difficult for health officials to contain since no common source of the outbreak has been identified, health officials said.  Washing your hands after going to the bathroom and before preparing meals for yourself and others, using your own towels, toothbrushes and eating utensils, and not sharing food and drinks with other people are all good ways to prevent the spread of the disease.

An increased number of hepatitis A cases has been seen in recent months. In the fall of 2016, possible hepatitis A exposure related to frozen strawberries that were recalled nationwide was identified at four locations in St. Clair County and one location in Macomb County. In May, a confirmed case was discovered at the St. Clair County Detention and Intervention Center in Port Huron.

In October, an employee at the Algonac Flaming Grill was found to have hepatitis A, leading local health officials to recommend vaccinations to those who ate at the restaurant between Oct. 6 and 20. The St. Clair County Health Department offered the vaccine at several recent walk-in clinics.

Food workers with the disease have the ability to infect a large number of people rapidly and are encouraged to get vaccinated.

The holidays also pose an increased risk of exposure to hepatitis A as families and friends come together to celebrate. –  Voice News

A national shortage of the vaccine has complicated efforts to contain outbreaks, but the St. Clair County Health Department reports an adequate local supply of the adult vaccine. Health officials state that the best way to prevent contraction of the hepatitis A virus is by getting two doses of the vaccine. Protection will begin two to four weeks after the first injection.  The second injection will offer protection for a longer period of time.

Two People In Canada Have Died From West Nile Virus

mosquito

Two Windsor-Essex people in Canada are dead after succumbing to the West Nile Virus. As more and more cases pop up in the United States, health officials are warning to not take this disease lightly.

In Utah state alone, the number of West Nile cases is 22, said Dallin Peterson, an epidemiologist who oversees all animal- and vector-borne diseases for the Utah Department of Health, including one fatal case in Salt Lake County. The county has confirmed that the virus was found in mosquitoes across the state and that lead to a death. Hillcrest High School football coach Cazzie Brown, who unexpectedly died late last month, is said by family to have become ill by contracting West Nile virus.

According to the Centers for Disease Control, about one in 150 who contract the virus will be subjected to serious symptoms that could prove fatal. Fortunately, most people infected with the West Nile virus do not have symptoms. About 1 in 5 people who are infected develop a fever and other mild symptoms. Canadian health officials said in a statement released Monday, “(West Nile virus) continues to be a risk until the area experiences temperatures below freezing.”

To prevent WNV, simply prevent mosquito bites, say the health officials. The late summer is the most important time to take precautions as that’s when mosquitoes switch from feeding on birds to searching for other food sources, like humans. Wear clothing which covers the skin and use insect repellent to keep those mosquitoes at bay. “This … should serve as a reminder to all residents to take steps to prevent mosquitoes and West Nile virus. The importance of using insect repellent with DEET can not be overstated,” county health department spokeswoman Aislynn Tolman-Hill of Utah said in a statement. Windsor-Essex County Health Unit advises residents to eliminate any standing water around their property and to take “personal protective measures” to avoid getting bitten.

The two deaths in Canada were the first WNV deaths that have been reported in the Windsor-Essex area since 2012. CTV Windsor reports that the victims were both elderly, who along with infants are at an increased risk due to weakened immune systems. The news of these deaths comes on the heels of researchers at Brock University predicting an outbreak of West Nile cases in Ontario this summer. They predicted up to 500 people would come down with the virus.

As of September 2, there have been 37 reported human cases of WNV in Ontario, according to Public Health Ontario. That’s far less than the predicted 500, but not all that comforting to those who have already lost loved ones to the WNV.
