Cops Kill Deaf Man Holding a Stick, Despite Neighbors Telling Them He was Deaf

deaf

Oklahoma City, OK – In an extremely heartbreaking story, on Tuesday, Oklahoma City police shot and killed a deaf man after responding to a reported hit-and-run accident. Witnesses claim that they warned police that the man was deaf – but officers opened fire anyway.

Police alleged that Magdiel Sanchez, 35, was spotted near a vehicle matching the description of the vehicle involved in the incident, and confronted a man standing near the car who they claim was holding a stick – who did not respond to their warnings.

A neighbor told AP that Sanchez was either deaf or hard of hearing, and carried a stick with him as protection from stray dogs.

Witnesses to the killing are on record stating that they informed the police that the man was deaf prior to them opening fire and killing him.

“We have lived in the neighborhood for 13 years so we knew him… and we knew that he was deaf,” one of the witnesses told the Daily Mail. “As the cops tried to approach him, my husband, my daughter and I were all screaming at the police that he was deaf.”

Another local resident said that Sanchez used written notes to communicate, adding that she often saw him with the stick.

According to Oklahoma City Police Capt. Bo Mathews, Oklahoma City Police Lt. Matthew Lindsey went by the house and spotted 35-year-old Magdiel Sanchez holding what appeared to be a large stick near the porch.

Note that this is how law enforcement attempt to lay the groundwork for their defense, by claiming the catch-all phrase, “I was in fear for my life,” which essentially gives officers carte blanche to kill anyone.

Police claim that after backup arrived they ordered Sanchez to drop the “weapon” and get on the ground, but instead he held up the stick and continued towards them.

One officer then shot Sanchez with a Tazer and another shot him at the same time with his handgun, according to Mathews, who of course, claims the officers didn’t hear the bystanders “screaming at police that he was deaf.”

Ironically, a similar, but less fatal incident, occurred in Oklahoma City in 2014, with the deaf victim being severely beaten. During that incident, another deaf man Pearl Pearson Jr., 64, who was also a diabetic, was beaten and arrested by police officers as they yelled at him to stop resisting during a traffic stop.

In that incident, Pearson’s driver’s license clearly indicated he was deaf, and he also had a placard in his driver’s door that clearly stated, “Driver is deaf”. When Pearson pulled over and rolled down his window, expecting an officer to ask for this identification. An officer struck him in the face before Pearl had the chance to do anything.

After Pearson was beaten by police, he was arrested and charged with resisting arrest. He was thrown in jail, and, according to his family, an interpreter was never provided while Pearl was under the care of law enforcement — not during the booking, hospital, or time at the jail was an interpreter provided — even though Pearl requested one.

Pearson was sitting in a jail cell, battered and bruised, and had no idea ‘why.’

Pearson has no criminal record, and in fact is a father to a police officer, his son-in-law is also a cop. In 2015, Pearson was given an award for his amazing service to the community for working with people with disabilities.

And while police officials now attempt to deflect responsibility for the killing of Sanchez by claiming that he was armed with a metal pipe in his right hand, which was wrapped in some type of material, the reality is the poorly trained officers, with a shoot first ask questions later mentality, are all too common.

So, police now want you to believe they killed the deaf man because he refused to listen to their commands and came at them holding a metal pipe – and that they couldn’t hear the numerous people yelling at them to inform them that Sanchez was deaf.

Mathews said that there were no operational body cameras on the scene at the time of the shooting, and that officers only learned that Sanchez was deaf and couldn’t hear their commands — after the shooting.

Police officials now acknowledge that the driver of the vehicle involved in the hit-and-run was actually Sanchez’s father and that Sanchez was not in the vehicle.

In typical fashion, the shooter, Sgt. Barnes was placed on paid administrative leave as the investigation into the shooting continues – but we all know how this plays out.

The police will investigate themselves, and find that they did nothing wrong, as usual.

Sadly, while a family grapples with the tragic loss of a loved one, it’s unlikely there will ever be justice for Magdiel Sanchez, as the thin blue line always protects their own.

WATCH: Cop Hits Woman’s Legally Parked Car Then Says It’s HER Fault

st. louis

St. Louis, MO — Surveillance footage is playing a crucial role in the case of a woman who claims St. Louis Police are trying to get away with a hit-and-run after they side-swiped her car, and then said she was at fault. The incident, which was caught on video, provides the perfect example of why people don’t trust police.

The incident occurred around 3 a.m. on July 26, when an unnamed St. Louis police officer’s patrol car collided with a 2004 Nissan Maxima, taking out the driver’s side mirror in the process. The officer never reported it, and never was going to report it — because he did not count on Danielle Allen having surveillance cameras in front of her home.

After watching the video, Allen said she reported the incident to police, and they were helpful at first—but then she received a letter in the mail claiming the police officer was not responsible for the damage to her vehicle and would not be paying for the damages. The letter reads in part:

“After reviewing your claim, I regret to inform you that the City of St. Louis is unable to accept liability. The police report documenting the incident reflects the operator of the police vehicle denies making contact with your vehicle. In addition, the video provided by you depicts the police vehicle driving near your vehicle, but it is inconclusive in proving the police vehicle make contact with your vehicle.”

That is when Allen reached out to the local news channel KTVI. After a reporter questioned the incident and brought up the fact the police car actually destroyed the driver’s side mirror, the reporter also went to City Hall and asked city council’s office to review the evidence.

As a result, Allen was given $2,400 by the city for the damages caused by the St. Louis police officer’s negligent actions. She was thankful the news organization was able to help her get her car repaired but she said the entire ordeal could have been avoided.

Once again, as TFTP has reported to near exhaustion, police officers seem to operate according to a double standard which the general public is not privileged enough to enjoy. In other words, they are in the “Boys in Blue” club and the general public cannot get away with what they get away with.

If the average citizen had been caught red-handed side-swiping a private vehicle and then fleeing the scene, that person would have been charged with “fleeing the scene of an accident.” If the officer had been doing his or her job, he or she would have left a note on the car for Allen to contact the department to have the vehicle repaired.

Allen noticed, after reviewing the surveillance footage, that the officer circled the block multiple times, presumably trying to ascertain how to handle the situation.

But as TFTP has reported, it is extremely difficult for police officers, departments, or even cities, to admit when one of their officers has made a serious mistake.

The police department’s spin machine starts with the public relations officer who usually claims there is an “active investigation” and the department cannot comment “until the investigation is complete.”

The media is usually on the side of the officers as well. As TFTP has reported, members of the press who ask too many questions get shunned by the police who then label them as a “persona non-grata” who they will not take questions from.

Lawyers for the department usually advise police not to respond until a lawsuit is presented to the department. Mayors and police chiefs sometimes get in on the denial game, often taking the side of their guilty officers. All the while, the general public could be mollified with a simple admission of wrongdoing and a polite apology.

Allen told KTVI, “I didn’t want to take it this far, either. I just wanted them to help me fix my vehicle.” Instead, the St. Louis PD and its spin machine were outed as attempting to protect a hit-and-run criminal, who happened to be one of their own.

Cop Arrested for Hit & Run in Patrol Car & Dumping Victim Across Town

hit

Staten Island, NY — A Metro Transit Authority cop from Brooklyn was arrested this week after he allegedly dumped his hit and run victim on Staten Island after running him down with his cruiser in a crosswalk.

On May 26, 2016, according to court records, this cowardly cop ran over an innocent man while on duty and then refused to help him. Instead of help, officer Lawrence Ffrench threw his victim in the back of the police car and dumped him on Staten Island.

After dumping the injured man, Julio Canete, Ffrench then told his victim that if he told anyone he’d been hit by a cop “he was in trouble.”

Canete was walking toward a bus stop in Bay Ridge when he was struck by Ffrench’s marked MTA vehicle and thrown into the air, Assistant District Attorney Prabhalya Pulim said Thursday in court.

“The defendant’s post at the time of the incident was traffic enforcement,” Acting Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez said. “He should have been keeping pedestrians safe — not endangering lives.”

As the Daily News reports,

Ffrench is accused of picking Canete up off the ground near the corner of Gatling Place and 92nd St. and asking him where he lived. When a disoriented Canete told Ffrench he lived in Staten Island, the officer put him in the back seat of his squad car and drove him more than a half mile across the bridge, according to a lawsuit Canete filed in Manhattan Federal Court in May against Ffrench and the MTA.

The cop is suspected of leaving Canete, 41, on the pavement of a parking lot at Tompkins and Wadsworth Aves. in Staten Island — and driving away. Canete called 911. Prosecutors said at no point did Ffrench, a 10-year veteran, call for help — a charge the officer’s attorney disputes. Prosecutors also said Ffrench drove the MTA car to an employee parking lot, got into his personal vehicle and returned to where he left Canete.

Canete has since filed a lawsuit, which notes, alongside prosecutors, that Ffrench then ordered him “not to tell anyone he had hit (him) with his police car.”

After the severely injured man was finally picked up by an ambulance he spent four days in Staten Island University Hospital where he was treated for multiple injuries and underwent surgery on his knee.

Ffrench is charged with leaving the scene of an incident without reporting it, a felony, and third-degree intimidating a witness.

Naturally, Ffrench’s attorney, Vesselin Mitev, did what most cop lawyers do when their officers are in trouble — he blamed the victim. Mitev shamelessly attempted to paint Canete as a crook out looking for a quick buck by getting run over by a cop.

“My client is the victim of what’s known as a cashgrab when people try to get hit by a police car and sue the city. That’s exactly what happened here,” Mitev said.

Perhaps people would be more inclined to believe Mitev’s bogus story if police officers hitting people with their wasn’t so common. As the Free Thought Project routinely reports, cops hit people, including innocent pedestrians with their cars all the time.

Having a laptop out in front of you as you speed down the road, most assuredly, has its drawbacks, just ask Kaylem Gonzalez. Gonzalez, 15, was walking away from his home on January 14, 2015, when he was struck by a Temple police car. The officer in the car, according to the lawsuit, left him trapped under it, with the engine running.

For 10 minutes the 15-year-old boy was burned all over his body. He suffered multiple third-degree burns to his torso, thighs, and pelvis, including his genitals, caused by the hot engine.

“(The victim) was under the middle of the vehicle face up,” the lawsuit petition says. “Emergency workers smelled the burning flesh, but no one made efforts to move the car or turn off the engine,” the suit says. “He was unable to flee or do anything. He was being burned alive.”

One needn’t even be on a roadway to get run over by a police officer. Last year, Lindsey Gordon, 24, was out sunbathing on the beach when an out of control cop in his police cruiser came barrelling down the sand and ran her over.

Gordon, who merely wanted to catch some sun with her friend, was hospitalized in critical condition with a shattered pelvis and internal bleeding.

One of the reasons these officers of the law can drive like this is because they often get away with it.

Roza Sakhina, a Russian immigrant, was struck by officer Lori Lin Goulet on Aug. 16, 2013, and died five days later. The officer backed out of a parking spot and hit the elderly woman. Not only was Goulet not charged in Sakhina’s death, but she wasn’t disciplined in the matter and all and the report named Sakhina as the party at fault.

Roger Stone possible victim of second assassination attempt after hit and run

(INTELLIHUB) — Trump adviser and longtime Republican operative Roger Stone was involved in a T-bone car accident Wednesday that may have been the second attempt on his life in the last two months.

Stone, who is currently under deep state attack with Soros fingerprints all over it, told the Alex Jones Show that the crash didn’t seem like an accident and that he was alright despite suffering blurred vision in his right eye that had previously been operated on.

“Air bags saved me from serious injury,” Stone wrote on Twitter before his appearance on the popular radio show where he provided more details on the possible assassination attempt.

“My car was T-boned by a car coming out of nowhere, the windshield was so darkly tinted you could not see who was inside the car,” Stone revealed on the radio show before describing how the vehicle then preceded to take off in a classic hit and run scenario.

Shockingly, this possible assassination attempt comes on the heels of Stone being literally poisoned with polonium in January in what many believe was a direct attempt on his life.

As I wrote at the time, “Appearing on the Alex Jones Show, Stone detailed this unbelievable assassination attempt, including that he had originally thought that he had a simple stomach virus before becoming extremely ill.

“I became extremely ill, this manifested itself in over 14 days of high fevers, delirium, night sweats, I had lesions on my chest and my face. I had extreme diarrhea, I had vomiting that could not be stopped with medication. I became exceedingly dehydrated and ultimately had to be hydrated with IV and saline injections,” Stone shockingly revealed.

After going through an extensive series of tests with multiple doctors in Florida, Stone was told that he was literally poisoned.

Stone continued, “The general consensus is that I was poisoned. I was poisoned with a substance that may have been Polonium or had the characteristics of Polonium. This made me exceedingly ill.”

Remember, globalist shills such as John McCain are openly calling for Stone to appear before Congress and now he has been the victim of a possible second attempt on his life.

“They have poisoned me, they have smeared me, and now someone in a car has tried to kill me,” Stone continued.
