North Korea: Starved To Death Prisoners’ Bodies Fed To Dogs In Brutal Regime

As North Korea continues to violate human rights on almost every level, news is now surfacing that the tyrannical regime doesn’t just starve their political prisoners.  Kim Jong-Un’s brutal dictatorship also feeds the corpses of those starved to death to the dogs.

In difficult to hear testimony in front of United Nations, North Korean defector Ji Hyeon-A explained how government officials in the hermit kingdom beat her and fed her only rotten food. Ji has escaped the regime three times now, and all three times, she said she was sent back to face horrific punishments in the impoverished nation. Ji was repatriated three times to North Korea after she was caught in China, before eventually escaping the brutal regime for good when she made it to South Korea in 2007.

According to the Express, Ji is now reunited with her mother and brother, as well as her younger sister – who was trafficked and sold into slavery after a failed escape attempt. But the family has still heard nothing about their father.

Ji described the conditions at one detention center as overly gruesome.  She said that the inmates were regularly starved to death while Kim Jong-Un gorges on expensive imported Swiss cheese and French red wine with no regard for his citizens. It’s obvious Kim hasn’t missed any meals.   She also explained that when the prisoners are fed, they are given raw locusts and skinned frogs and rats as food.

But the most horrific thing the woman witnessed while imprisoned in harsh conditions, was the feeding of corpses to dogs. After prisoners were starved to death, government officials would feed the dead bodies to dogs where other prisoners could see the disturbing display. Ji-Hyeon-A described North Korea as “a terrifying prison and the Kim’s are carrying out a vast massacre and it takes a miracle to survive there.”

Ji also described how North Korean women who got pregnant in China were forced to have abortions. “Pregnant women were forced into harsh labor all day,” she said. “At night, we heard pregnant mothers screaming and babies died without ever being able to see their mothers.”

The third time Ji Hyeon-A got caught and sent back to North Korea she was three months pregnant. She tearfully described how she was forced to have an abortion without medication at a local police station because North Korea has banned mixed-race babies.  “My first child passed away without ever seeing the world,” she said with tears in her eyes, “without any time for me to apologize.”

Ji-Hyeon-A urged the U.N. and leaders worldwide to fight for North Korean defectors, especially those who are repatriated.  She asked China to stop sending North Koreans back to their native country because now they know what goes on once they return.

Earlier in the day, China had attempted to stop the Security Council meeting convened by Japan on the human rights situation in North Korea. China only had the support of Russia and Bolivia and failed in its attempt to stop the meeting from moving forward.

North Korean Soldier Shot By Former Comrades While Defecting To South Korea

A former North Korean soldier was shot by his former comrades for attempting to defect to South Korea across a demilitarized zone. The soldier reportedly left his post and tried to get to Freedom House on South Korea’s side of the border.

The soldier was reportedly defecting from a North Korean guard post at the Joint Security Area (JSA) on the heavily-guarded border between the two countries. The soldier is said to have left the North Korean guard post in front of Panmungak, on the border inside the demilitarized zone, and proceeded to move towards Freedom House on the South Korean side.

This is the third defection by a member of the North Korean military this year, following two soldiers who fled to South Korea separately in June. Prior to 2017, there had only been four military defectors from North Korea over the past five years: one in 2016, one in 2015 and two in 2012.

The defecting soldier is, fortunately, in South Korean custody. Although he was shot, he succeeded in making it to South Korea. He is injured, but alive. Robert Kelly, an associate professor at the Department of Political Science at Pusan National University, said the prominent defection and the shooting was “genuinely surprising.” Kelly added: “It’s fairly unusual, I can’t think of the last time (a defector was shot at) … it certainly adds to the tensions.”

Alerted by gunshots, South Korean guards found the North Korean soldier about 55 yards south of the borderline that bisects Panmunjom. He was taken to a hospital with gunshot wounds to an elbow and shoulder, South Korean officials said.

His defection took place amid a joint naval exercise involving three American aircraft carriers in waters off South Korea’s east coast. It was the first time in a decade that the United States Navy had mobilized three carrier groups in the same drill in the western Pacific, and it represented the show of force that President Trump has said Americans “hope to God we never have to use” against North Korea. –New York Times

The Joint Chiefs of Staff have also raised the alert levels running on the assumption that this defection will be seen as a provocation and heighten already sky-high tensions.  “Our military has raised the alert level in anticipation of North Korean provocation. The military is maintaining a full readiness,” the Joint Chiefs of Staff statement said.

The North Korean military has more than 1.2 million active soldiers and a further 7.7 million in reserves. It is one of the largest ground forces in the world.

North Korea and the United States continue their tit-for-tat and so far, there have been no physical strikes against either nation. But the verbal rhetoric continues to fly as North Korea called president Donald Trump a “dotard” on Saturday.

North Korean Defector Claims Kim Jong-Un’s Days Are Numbered

CNN allegedly found a North Korean defector through University researchers working in conjunction with the South Korean government. The news outlet interviewed the alleged defector, who claims Kim Jong-Un’s days as “supreme leader” are numbered.

CNN says that the defector had worked among the elites in Pyongyang. In order to protect the man’s anonymity, the descriptions and his name were omitted from the interview. He is said to fear being hunted down by North Korea and his family harmed should his identity be known. He is by far, however, the most recent defector CNN has ever interviewed; he’s only been free from North Korea for one year. But, he had a few predictions about the North’s borderline psychopathic dictator…

In 2011, Kim Jong Un’s father, Kim Jong Il, died. Kim Jong Un took over and “tried his best,” says the defector. He gave gifts, and in a public appearance, allowed his voice to be broadcast on North Korean state run television. The perception among the people was that life was about to improve inside North Korea. “It was a false image,” he says.

In December 2013, the regime announced the second most powerful man in North Korea, Jang Song Thaek, was being expelled from the ruling Workers’ Party of Korea. Jang was accused of a litany of crimes, from obstructing the nation’s economic affairs to anti-party acts. The allegations stunned for several reasons, primarily for who the regime fingered — Jang is Kim’s uncle.

“Kim Jong Un revealed his true side,” says the defector. Jang’s arrest was broadcast on state television, followed by a statement calling him “despicable human scum, worse than a dog.” State media then announced he was executed.

The defector that CNN interviewed expressed confidence in his opinion that the elites’ loyalty to Kim Jong-Un has deteriorated and will continue to do so. He says that conviction is how he was able to leave his family behind because he believes he will reunite with them one day.

“I can tell you for sure, the North Korean regime will collapse within 10 years,” he says without hesitation. “Kim Jong Un is mistaken that he can control his people and maintain his regime by executing his enemies. There’s fear among high officials that at any time, they can be targets. The general public will continue to lose their trust in him as a leader by witnessing him being willing to kill his own uncle.”

Yet Kim Jong-Un has all the power in North Korea.  Meaning those who lose trust in the “supreme leader” may face their ultimate and untimely demise. It’s no secret why this defector is keeping his identity well hidden.
