EXCLUSIVE: Cop Caught on Video Holding Man at Gunpoint for Filming on His Own Property

filming

San Antonio, TX — Filming the police is entirely legal in every state. However, all too often, we will see police officers overstep their authority and arrest, attack, and assault innocent people for the constitutionally protected act of documenting their behavior in public. An exclusive video submitted to the Free Thought Project this week shows just how dangerous a cop’s ignorance of the law can be.

The video below is disturbing for many reasons. However, the fact that it is part of a trend that seems to be growing is perhaps the most disturbing aspect. In spite of police officers getting publicly chastised on YouTube and Facebook for attacking people for filming, they continue to do so—most of the time, with impunity.

The uncle of the young man in the video below reached out to TFTP with this video. He explains that his nephew had done nothing wrong and was merely filming a traffic stop—from his own property.

According to our source, his nephew pulled out his phone to record the stop which was happening just outside of his home. He began filming because he noticed the officers being rough with his friends.

It has been clearly established that all Americans have the right to record the police. For an officer of the law to remain willingly ignorant of this precedent is at best, dereliction of duty, and at worst, unlawful deprivation of rights. Either way, these cops were in the wrong.

As the video begins, the young man is standing on his own porch, filming the officers conducting a stop on his friends. When one of the officers sees him filming, he snaps.

In only a few seconds, the officer has his gun drawn and is allegedly committing aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. As he seemingly had no probable cause, nor any reason to pull his gun, this officer was entirely out of line.

Naturally, the officer claims that the man filming caused him to fear for his safety and this will undoubtedly be used to justify his actions if any litigation is brought against him.

“Come here!” the officer yells as he aims a pistol at a man whose only crime was allegedly filming.

Likely due to the fact that he has a pistol pointed at him, the man filming doesn’t immediately walk toward the cop who is threatening his life.

“What part of ‘come here’ don’t you understand!” yells the officer as he then physically moves the man filming up against the wall.

“Dude, we ain’t messin with y’all,” the cop says as he then grabs the camera from the man’s hand and proceeds to handcuff him.

“This is my home right here,” says the man filming.

“I don’t care,” replies the officer. “You don’t walk up on police like that.”

Although the video is brief, never do we see this man walk up on police, he is simply standing on his own property—filming. But this was irrelevant to this officer.

“Why are you going to do that to me? I am on my property,” asks the man.

“Shut up dude,” replies the cop.

“You don’t walk up on police officers like that,” the cop says again. However, as the video shows, that did not happen.

“I didn’t walk up, I was right here,” explains the man.

Once the officer realizes the camera is still rolling, he then grabs it and turns it off. The video ends here.

TFTP has reached out to the SAPD to inquire about this video. However, we have yet to receive any word back.

Below is an example of why there is such a divide between the police and the policed.

Video Shows Cops Assault, Strike 14yo Girl as Her Mom Watches in Horror

girl

San Antonio, TX — A video uploaded to Facebook of an incident Saturday night has a family and community members crying foul as it shows multiple San Antonio police officers manhandle and allegedly hit a 14-year-old girl.

The brief video was taken by a bystander during an alleged altercation between two males at a teenager’s quinceañera, the Latin American celebration of a girl turning 15-years-old.

The 14-year-old victim and her mother attended the quinceañera and were in the parking lot leaving when police showed up.

Although the video is brief, it shows several officers grab her while one appears to strike her in the face. All the while, the young girl’s mother watches in horror as her daughter is assaulted and kidnapped by SAPD.

The 14-year-old girl was arrested and brought to the Bexar County Juvenile Detention Center on a criminal charge of assaulting a public servant. She was held for two nights until being released Monday afternoon.

As MySA reports, Artessia House, one of the girl’s lawyers, said her client, an honor-roll student with no history of violence, did not assault the officer. House said one officer can be seen in the video “clear as day” striking the girl.

Monday night, after the video began to gain traction online, Police Chief William McManus issued a statement, saying, “Per SAPD policy, the events leading up to the arrest of the juvenile for assaulting a public official is being investigated to ensure compliance with Department policies.”

As the video begins, the officers appear to be talking to the girl’s mother. All of the sudden we hear someone, allegedly the 14-year-old, say, “Don’t talk to her like that.”

At this point, all hell breaks loose.

Officers then surrounded the girl in the purple dress as more rush over. At one point, at least one officer appears to strike the girl. The tussle then moves behind a vehicle out of the view of the camera.

“No! No! No! No!” the mother cries, as officers hold her back from her daughter. “Let her go!”

Although the young girl is taken out of view of the camera, we can still hear her cries for help in the video.

“Help! Mamma!” the girl screams as she is taken away.

As MySA reports, the department’s policy states that an officer can use physical force or an intermediate weapon if a suspect is actively being resistant. It goes on: “If circumstances allow, officers should attempt to de-escalate tense situations through ‘advisements, warnings, verbal persuasion, and other tactics’ to reduce the need for force.”

It appears that no de-escalation techniques or advisements were used in this video, only instant violence.

Monday night, a group of activists attended the court hearing, decrying the officers’ actions. Taj Matthews, executive director of the Claude & ZerNona Black Development Leadership Foundation, said he wants to know how the investigation will be handled, according to MySA.

“There’s no way you can justify this officer hitting this girl in the face,” he said.

The SAPD are supposed to have body cameras, however, no such video had been released.

SAPD cops have a terrible track record when it comes to corruption and abuse.

For those that don’t recall, the SAPD became famous last year after their officer, Matthew Lockhurst was fired for defecating on a piece of bread and offering it to a homeless person.

Previously, the Free Thought Project brought you the story of SAPD officer Serena Botello whose GPS was also used to show her negligence, exposing the fact that she had refused to do her job, not once, not 5 times, not 15 times, but 23 times in just a two-month period.

One of these 23 incidents was even caught on Botello’s dashcam as well. She was seen driving away from a shooting in which she could have possibly saved the victim’s life.

Also, a former SAPD officer was sentenced to 18 months in jail for gruesomely stabbing and shooting his family’s dog.

Also, it was the SAPD who brutally beat a 16-year-old boy because they smelled marijuana.

Yet again, it was 2 SAPD officers who brutally beat a 70-year-old man because they thought he was drunk. He was actually having a diabetic attack.

These are just the tip of the iceberg. For a full rap sheet on SAPD corruption, you can visit this link, here.

Two Cops Fired for Having Sex As Cops Across US Keep Jobs After Killing People

We live in a world where we have to hide to make love, while violence is practiced in broad daylight. – John Lennon

San Antonio, TX — Here at the Free Thought Project, we’ve brought you case after case of police officers, harassing, beating, and even killing innocent people and not only escaping charges — but keeping their jobs. Nothing highlights a sick society quite like government employees fired for having sex while their counterparts keep their jobs for killing.

In April of last year, Officer Eman Fondren, a four-year veteran of the department, and Officer Rebecca Martinez, who had served in the San Antonio police department since 2010, were both handed down indefinite suspensions. In spite of the indefinite suspensions, which equate to being fired, being handed out in April, their details were not made public until recently.

The two officers were fired, not for beating a handcuffed suspect, or for stomping an innocent man’s face, but for having consensual sex while on duty.

Martinez and Fondren, according to KSAT, were fired after the department’s investigation, which focused on the text messages sent between the two officers throughout October 2015, determined that the couple conspired to have sex while on duty, then later carried out their plan on more than one occasion.

No one here is arguing that the officers were not fulfilling their official duty while having sex. However, the fact that cops, including many cops within the SAPD, have been caught committing horrible crimes and allowed to keep their jobs, is infuriating and telling of a depraved society.

Around 2:20 p.m. on May 20, 2014, Roger Carlos, 43, was taking photos of a building while scouting a location for his wife’s medical practice. Suddenly, an undercover drug task force officer pulled up, exited his truck, and ordered Carlos to the ground. Before Carlos had time to comply, the undercover cop began beating him in the face with a weapon.

Carlos was severely beaten to the point of hospitalization and left paralyzed. He’d done nothing wrong. The San Antonio cops who left him that way are still on the job.

In February 2015, an SAPD officer held his wife and children hostage in a standoff with police. Because of the ridiculous system of justice, this cop gets to keep his peace officer’s license.

San Antonio police officers Cristina Gonzales, Roberto Mendez, Jennifer Morgan, Bettina Arredondo, Ronald Haley, Benito Juarez, and Robert Encina surrounded Jesse Aguirre, 37, on the side of the interstate in 2014. Dashcam footage showed them suffocate him to death — they all kept their jobs.

This list is as infuriating as it is long.

However, while all these cops who beat and kill keep their jobs, Martinez and Fondren are fired for sex.

“Looking at the totality of the situation, the conduct they were engaged in was not at all ethical, not at all professional,” said Sgt. Jesse Salame, an SAPD spokesperson. “Certainly that’s something that we’re not going to tolerate in this department.”

However, as we illustrate above, the SAPD has no problem tolerating vicious and dangerous cops who assault innocent people or get involved in SWAT team standoffs while holding their own wife and children hostage.

Martinez and Fondren embarrassed their department and for this they were fired. The irony here is that violence and excessive force, even against innocent people, are not at all embarrassing to police departments across the country.

In fact, in today’s society, violence is not only tolerated — it is glorified. Case in point below.

The full on destruction of a city, in which men, women, and children were blown to pieces by US bombs can be broadcast into every home across America, and this is good. Wholesale murder and violence, sanctioned by the state, is not only accepted, it is promoted like a football game.

No one who started these wars of aggression was ever punished, despite everyone finding out that their entire premise was based on lies. Thousands of Americans were killed, tens of thousands were permanently disfigured and left disabled, and hundreds of thousands of Iraqis slaughtered, and this is good.

More than 1,000 people a year are killed by police in America and the number of cops convicted for murder on the job barely registers in the single digits.

A society that punishes the creation of love in public, while glorifying the slaughter of their fellow human is a society in a crisis of conscience — and this case is further evidence of that fact.
