When police responded to the scene where a man was attacking his girlfriend, they shot the victim in the head and then covered it up, according to a lawsuit.

Police officers in Tulsa, Oklahoma, were caught on video commending each other on their use of force in the arrest of a suspect—but the man they put in handcuffs was an innocent man they beat to a bloody pulp, after trespassing on his property. Now, he is the one facing criminal charges.

Jack Morris, a 53-year-old man from Tulsa, is charged with a felony count of assault and battery on a police officer, and misdemeanor complaints of assault on an officer, obstruction and resisting an officer.

When Morris was brought to jail on Aug. 16, his face was bloodied and swollen, his shirt was covered in blood, and he was eventually taken to an Emergency Room, where he received nine stitches and was treated for a broken arm. However, there are still questions as to how Morris became a police suspect in the first place.

According to a report from the Tulsa World, the Tulsa Police Department recently responded to an open records request by releasing 14 videos that gave insight into the events surrounding the arrest. While video evidence of the physical altercation was not included, the comments the officers made in the aftermath were included.

At the time, Officers Joshua Dupler and Anthony First were responding to reports of a stolen vehicle. They were searching for two suspects, and they claimed they entered Morris’ property on the suspicion that one of the suspects was hiding in his barn.

Morris told the Tulsa World that he received a call from his neighbors about the officers’ presence on his property, and he drove out to the field to check on one of his horses. Once he got there, the officers told him that he was not allowed to go near his horses and he needed to leave.

According to the officers’ reports of the encounter, Morris responded to their commands by balling his fists, squaring his shoulders and yelling, “Take me to jail, motherf—kers.” However, Morris claims that he made no attempts to assault any of the officers on the scene, and said they were ones who assaulted him.

In the video footage that showed officers commenting on the incident, one officer can be heard describing Morris as “one of those guys that does not understand how things work.”

“At some point he either head-butted me or threw an elbow,” Dupler said, describing the altercation. “I don’t know but I got a little mark on the side of my face. Then I remember him pushing up [and] you and I—he’s a strong bastard—he’s pushing up, and I fired off three or four closed-fist hand strikes, but they were, you know, medium force, literally just in an attempt to bring his hands back up so we could get access to his hands again.”

Dupler continued, “And then later on I think (Sgt. Kurt) Dodd or I put a knee into him, and me and you finally got both hands behind his back even though I know there were like four different times when he got his hands away from us.”

Despite the fact that the officers’ use of force—which included an abundance of pepper spray and physical strikes—sent Morris to the hospital, Dupler commented on what an excellent job they did. “Like literally, it was just a good [use of force]. You sprayed him. We got him in custody. He’s probably still gonna try to sue us just because he’s an asshat and he’s got money,” he said.

As The Free Thought Project has reported, Tulsa Police have come under fire for a number of incidents, including reports of collusion among officers intending to steals guns and cash from citizens.

While it remains to be seen whether the officers involved will be held accountable for their actions, Sgt. Shane Tuell told the Tulsa World that the incident “will be subject to an internal use-of-force review, which occurs every time an officer uses pepper spray, an impact weapon or less-lethal option, as well as when an officer causes great bodily injury in another way.”

Morris pleaded not guilty to the charges at his arraignment, and his preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 25.

Body cam video, taken from the officer who shot Sean Ellis, shows how absolutely unnecessary this shooting was.

On August 7, police claim that a citizen flagged down an officer to tell them about a mentally ill man wearing a cowboy hat that was acting strangely. Ellis, 44, was that man.

Although police claim the concerned citizen said he had a gun, he was armed only with a knife, which was being worn on his belt prior to police stopping him.

Before being approached by police, Ellis had done nothing wrong. He had harmed no one. However, only a few moments after a citizen told police he was acting strangely, Ellis was dead.

The shooting took place at 7:45 am and was captured in its entirety on officer James Moore’s glasses-worn body camera. When police originally issued their report on why Moore shot Ellis, they claimed Ellis “lunged” toward the officer. However, as the video shows, this is not true.

As the video begins, officer Moore jumps out of his car and immediately begins pursuing Ellis with loud commands. Ellis, who was in a clearly diminished mental state simply walked away.

Remember, Ellis had not committed a crime, nor had police suspected him of committing a crime. By many measures, Ellis should’ve been able to legally walk away from the officers.

That did not happen.

“Do not pull the knife. Drop that knife!” Moore says as the clearly panicked Ellis responds to what he perceives as his would-be aggressors by pulling out the knife.

Still, however, Ellis did not run at officers, or do anything other than stand there.

As the officers yelled at Ellis — which is a terribly ineffective way of dealing with people in a mental health crisis — he became more unstable.

Ellis began reciting bible verses and commandments. “Thou shalt bear no false witness against God!” Ellis yells, before three shots ring out.

“Thou shalt not k…,” utters Ellis as Moore dumps three rounds into the mentally ill man.

Ellis falls to the ground, writhing in agony as he begs the cops for help.

“Oh, God, help me, I can’t move,” Ellis pleaded as he bled out in the parking lot.

As you watch the video below, take note that Ellis never lunged at the officer. He barely took a half step forward—slowly—before being shot by Moore.

Never once was a taser deployed. Never once did the officers simply back up. Never once was any attempt made to de-escalate the situation — only yelling followed by deadly force.

As Tulsa World reports, the police department stated that a Taser wouldn’t have been appropriate in that situation because “a suspect brandishing a knife is considered an immediate threat of serious bodily harm or death,” with officers trained that the appropriate response is deadly force.

However, to the contrary, TFTP has reported numerous incidents in which brave cops deploy tasers or other means to disarm mentally ill people armed with knives. The bottom line was that Moore was simply too scared and probably shouldn’t have ever become a cop in the first place.

As New 6 reports, Officer Lincoln Anderson said at the end of their investigation, they’ve seen no wrongdoing in Moore’s actions, because Ellis was a threat to everyone else around.

“If he’s going to approach an officer in a violent manner, that’s not to say he won’t approach just a regular citizen in the same way,” Anderson said. “As far as our investigation, Officer Moore didn’t violate any policy or use any type of excessive force.”

On March 29 of last year, Officer Josh Hilling faced down with a man apparently at the end of his rope with nothing to lose. He was now attempting suicide by cop.

“Kill Me! Mill Me!” Aleman said dozens of times as he came at Hilling after refusing to be patted down for walking along the interstate. In Aleman’s hand was a huge Bowie knife.

At this point, every cop in the United States would have been entirely justified in filling Aleman with holes. However, Hilling didn’t react like every other cop would — he respected the preservation of life.

A single non-lethal shot was fired, and Hilling took a defensive stance instead of an offensive one. Instead of automatically killing Aleman, who was a significantly lower threat now with a bullet hole in his abdomen, Hilling merely backed up and tried to calm him down.

Eventually, as his backup arrived, those cops didn’t shoot either, and no one was killed. This could’ve happened with Ellis too.

Cop Actually Charged for Shooting Small Dog Who Made Him ‘Fear for His Life’

Purcell, OK — An allegedly inebriated officer — who fell from his motorcycle and proceeded to shoot a tiny dog with his service weapon for no reason — has now been charged in the incident.

“They said that he fell over on his motorcycle and that he had shot my dog, Champion,” the dog’s owner told KFOR in October.

“It caught this leg, and hopefully if I can keep the infection out of his joint, he won’t lose his paw,” the owner added hopefully of where a bullet from Purcell Police Officer Richard Kyle Glasgow’s service revolver entered the beloved pet’s body.

Glasgow has now been charged with ‘one count of reckless conduct with a firearm’ — for which the officer ‘demonstrated a conscious disregard for the safety of others and created a situation of unreasonable risk and probability of death or great bodily harm to others.’

Considering the portrait of grave fecklessness described in charges, and that the officer left the creature bloodied, suffering, and ultimately forced to endure an amputation, ‘reckless conduct’ hardly encompasses the scale of the threat this drunken cop posed.

NewsOn6 briefly summarizes, “On Oct. 8, 2016 Glasgow told authorities he was riding his motorcycle in McClain County when he said a dog named Champion came out after his motorcycle and he feared for his life so he fired a warning shot into the ground and another shot at the dog. Champion was wounded and lost his right front paw as a result of the shooting.”

Neighbors noted Glasgow, who lives in the area, had been known to complain about Champion running loose in the streets — but that had not happened on October 8.

“He fell over and then he took his gun and then shot twice,” the dog’s owner lamented, adding witnesses “heard two shots and then the dog yelped.”

Glasgow’s erratic actions — firing a weapon at a friendly dog not even tall enough to reach an average adult’s knees — might be explained in part, though not excused, by what officers responding to the shooting discovered when they arrived.

“While talking to Glasgow I could smell a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his person, and could hear slurred speech as he spoke,” asserted an unnamed deputy attending the scene, in a police report cited by NewsOn6.

Responding officers made no arrests at the time — and have not elaborated on that failure — despite descriptions like the aforementioned which strongly indicate Glasgow had imbibed too much to have been driving.

Adding further insult, “authorities took the officer’s patrol car that he drove back from the scene,” as KFOR paraphrased the incident report.

Also, as News 9 reported in October when the original incident happened, Glasgow had previously threatened to shoot the dog.

Glasgow reported a previous incident with the dog while riding his motorcycle in the same area – stating the dog “ran out into the street almost causing him to wreck his motorcycle with his child on the back of it.” So Glasgow said he told the landowner “she needed to keep her dog put up or he would shoot it.”

Friday afternoon, the landowner Sherry Reece said she believed he mistook Champion for the neighbor’s German Shepherd. “He told me that two German Shepherds were running out toward him on his motorcycle and he had his child with him and he had to swerve and he almost fell over with his child,” she explained. “I said ‘OK I’ll tell Junior. He’s the one that owns the German Shepherds.’”

Indeed, Glasgow — who remains employed by the Purcell Police Department, but has been gifted a paid suspension pending the outcomes of multiple investigations — would almost certainly have had to perform sobriety tests for officers, were he not an officer, himself.

Without additional, theoretical charges for operating under the influence, Glasgow faces the possibility of just six months to one year in county jail and a fine of between $50 and $500 — a striking contrast to what a non-cop perpetrator would in the same situation.

Another disparity between the treatment of cop lawbreakers and civilian offenders is that, had Champion been employed as a trained law enforcement K-9 and Glasgow an ordinary civilian, he would have been charged with a federal offense.

ABC News reported in 2000, upon the passing of new legislation designed to further protections for animals trained to work as law enforcement officers,

“Under the Federal Law Enforcement Animal Protection Act, which went into effect this week, anyone convicted of purposely assaulting, maiming, or killing federal law enforcement animals such as police dogs and horses could be fined at least $1,000 and spend up to 10 years in prison. Previously, the animals were covered by a variety of state, rather than federal, laws.”

But Champion isn’t a police K-9. Thus his life — and the gunshot wound resulting from an officer’s wanton disregard for safety — could be worth as little as $50, per Oklahoma law.

Such disproportionate penalties for the law enforcement community compared to, well, everyone else, echoes the precipitous chasm cleaving the nation between obdurate supporters of the Thin Blue Line and those who know the bequeathed badge and gun do not grant extra rights.

Countless family pets, like Champion, have been unfortunate enough to encounter police officers far too skittish to have ever considered the profession of law enforcement.

The Free Thought Project contacted the Purcell Police Department on a particularly pressing aspect of this case, which hasn’t been made entirely clear in news reports of the shooting — whether or not Glasgow was on duty at the time — but, at the time this article went to press, had yet to receive a return call.

Cops Want to Punish Woman who Called them ‘Pigs’ for Killing Her Innocent Husband on Video

Moore, OK — In February of 2014, as a family walked out of a movie theater, they were confronted by police who would beat their father and husband to death. The killing of Luis Rodriguez by Moore police was captured on film by his wife Nair.

Nair now has obvious animosity toward the Moore police department for taking her husband from her that fateful night. So, she took to Facebook live to express her discontent with police, who are subsequently disallowing her from attending the deposition of one of the cops who killed her husband.

In the Facebook video, Nair referred to the officers who killed her husband on video as ‘pigs’. Now, those same cops who killed her husband are trying to charge Nair with ‘inciting violence,’ because Nair calling them pigs and ‘asking for help’ made them fear for their lives.

However, during the video, Nair reveals that she was simply venting about the deposition and lack of income since police killed her husband.

“She made comments about her ‘husband killers’ and ‘won’t somebody please help me’ — in this day and age this could mean a number of things,” said David Kirk, an attorney who represents the Moore Warren Theater and three off-duty game wardens who were working as security guards at the theater the night of Luis Rodriguez’s death, according to News OK.

“A number of people involved in the lawsuit thought that was tremendously inappropriate and we felt the need to act. We don’t think it was very nice of her to threaten the lives and safety of our clients,” Kirk said.

For asking for help after police killed her husband, in the same manner they would go on to kill Eric Garner, Nair is being targeted. Imagine the hurt and helplessness a widow must feel after cops kill her innocent husband on video, get away with it, then threaten her for speaking out about it. It is pure madness.

“As you hear, here on the 13th floor is where they are conducting the depo of Joseph Bradley, the killer, the one who asphyxiated Luis and he is still free of responsibility,” Nair said in the video.

“This is the system. Please, if you can help me, I know it would not be in vain.”

On that tragic February night back in 2014, Nair Rodriguez and her daughter Lunahi got into an argument at the Warren Theater around midnight. Nair said she slapped her daughter then stormed away. Her husband, Luis, chased after her. That was when the family said officers confronted Luis Rodriguez and asked to see his identification.

According to Lunahi and Nair, he tried to bypass the officers to stop his wife from driving off because she was so angry. They said officers took him down and it escalated.

Lunahi Rodriguez said that five officers beat her father to death right in front of her, in the parking lot of the movie theater.

The heart-wrenching video is hard to watch and shows Luis Rodriguez gasp for air, saying, “I can’t breathe,” as police squeeze the life from his body.

It only took for months for officials to clear the cops in the murder of Luis Rodriguez. Since then, Nair has filed a lawsuit against them.

As PINAC reports, an autopsy conducted by the Cleveland County Medical Examiner concluded that Luis Rodriguez died from “cardiac arrhythmia due to physical restraint,” basically blaming the victim for his heart not being able to withstand five cops piling on top of him while choking, punching and kneeing him.

However, a private autopsy conducted by a doctor hired by the Rodriguez family determined that the 44-year-old man died from “asphyxia caused by restricted respiration caused by external forces.”

Luis was choked to death — on video — and the only person who may face charges for this, is his wife who filmed it. And this is called ‘justice’ in the Land of the Free.
