Faking Russian US Election Meddling

[image: nbcnews.com]The discredited canard should have been consigned to history’s dustbin long ago. Yet it persist, scoundrel media disinformation continuing to claim what never happened.

No Russian or any other hacking occurred, no foreign interference of any kind in America’s 2016 election, or any others.

The New York Times criticized Trump’s acceptance of Putin’s denial of any Russian US election meddling. So did the neocon/CIA-connected Washington Post in a lengthy propaganda piece.

It claimed (nonexistent) “information…demonstrat(ing) reasonable confidence that Russia was behind the election hacks – even if Trump with access to (classified) information” disagrees.

In June 2016, a fake news WaPo report claimed Russia hacked DNC computers, citing tech security company CrowdStrike, the firm providing no evidence supporting its accusation.

At the time, the FBI didn’t request access to DNC servers to conduct forensic analysis, DNC spokesman Eric Walker, saying:

“The DNC had several meetings with representatives of the FBI’s Cyber Division and its Washington (DC) Field Office, the Department of Justice’s National Security Division, and US Attorney’s Offices, and it responded to a variety of requests for cooperation, but the FBI never requested access to the DNC’s computer servers.”

Instead the agency relied on CrowdStrike, even though it’s standard practice for the FBI to conduct its own cybersecurity investigative work.

Why not this time? Clearly it’s because emails were leaked by one or more disgruntled Democrat party insiders, not hacked by Russia or anyone else.

WaPo claimed other cybersecurity firms concurred with CrowdStrike, wrongfully blaming Russia for what never happened.

No private or US intelligence sources provided any evidence supporting their accusations. Yet baseless ones persists, proliferated by disreputable media like WaPo, reporting its the CIA handlers want published, suppressing what’s most important to know.

WaPo quoted a fabricated joint Director of National Intelligence (DNI) and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) statement made weeks before last November’s election, saying:

“The US Intelligence Community (USIC) is confident that the Russian Government directed the recent compromises of emails from US persons and institutions, including from US political organizations…intended to interfere with the US election process.”

So-called “confiden(ce)” didn’t include a shred of corroborating evidence because none exists. Earlier and current claims are bald-faced lies.

Earlier and in Hamburg, Putin was honest stressing no Russian meddling in America’s electoral process occurred.

In late December, a declassified FBI/National Cybersecurity and Communications Integration Center joint analysis lied, claiming evidence links Russia to US election interference. Again, no evidence was presented, just baseless claims.

In January, a declassified report on alleged Russian hacking said it “does not and cannot include the full supporting information, including specific intelligence and sources and methods” – because no Russian meddling occurred.

So-called “high confidence” expressed many times was and remains mumbo jumbo rubbish. The CIA, FBI and NSA claiming Putin “ordered an influence campaign in 2016 aimed at the US presidential election…to undermine public faith in the US democratic process, denigrate Secretary Clinton, and harm her electability and potential presidency” was malicious disinformation.

WaPo reported all of the above rubbish as factual – knowing it’s a litany of Big Lies.

Shock: Former intelligence officer claims anti-Clinton American intelligence operatives carried out DNC hack

(INTELLIHUB) — The shocking hack of the Democratic National Committee, which has been largely pinned on Russia, was actually conducted by disgruntled intelligence operatives who wanted to bring down Hillary Clinton, according to former intelligence officer Lieutenant Colonel Anthony Shaffer.

Speaking during an interview with Fox News Sean Hannity, Shaffer revealed his belief, backed up by actual sources within the intelligence community, that both the DNC and Podesta emails hack were carried out by operatives who wanted to expose the widespread corruption of then presidential candidate Clinton.

“Sean, we did it. Not me but our guys, former members of NSA, retired intelligence officers used these tools to break in there and get the information out. That’s what the Democrats don’t want to talk about because it doesn’t fit their narrative,” claimed Shaffer.

Asked whether or not the hacks were carried out using malware techniques that could have had Russians fingerprints on them and if that means that the entire establishment narrative about the hacks is wrong, Shaffer responded, “That’s right.”

He added, “The evidence is not that the Russians did it, the evidence is that a Russian tool was used, concerned Americans fed up with the Clintons doing things I think were the ones who actually got in there and broke the information out and gave it to Wikileaks.”

Keep in mind the fact that Wikileaks has always maintained that the hacked material did not come from Russia but rather from officials within the United States.

Obviously the claims by Shaffer are shocking to say the least and point to even more questions. If intelligence operatives were targeting Clinton why would they put Russian fingerprints on the hack when that narrative has directly hurt Donald Trump for months? Its possible they either didn’t see the Russian-Trump establishment narrative coming or maybe they simply had to pin the blame somewhere else in order to cover themselves.

Regardless, thanks to the recent Wikileaks Vault 7 release, we now know for a fact that the intelligence community has the tools to conduct covert hacking operations and then blame them on other nations, including the Russian Federation.

“With UMBRAGE and related projects the CIA cannot only increase its total number of attack types but also misdirect attribution by leaving behind the “fingerprints” of the groups that the attack techniques were stolen from,” read the Wikileaks release. “UMBRAGE components cover keyloggers, password collection, webcam capture, data destruction, persistence, privilege escalation, stealth, anti-virus (PSP) avoidance and survey techniques.”

The Wikileaks release continued, “This is analogous to finding the same distinctive knife wound on multiple separate murder victims. The unique wounding style creates suspicion that a single murderer is responsible. As soon one murder in the set is solved then the other murders also find likely attribution.”

Slowly but surely we are starting to see a picture emerge that destroys the very notion that Donald Trump was helped by the Russians despite what the literally hundreds of establishment disinformation reports coming from anonymous deep state officials may claim.

Does Trump Now Accept the Phony Russian Hacking Claim?

Since his Friday intelligence briefing, he hasn’t refuted his earlier assessment, debunking the notion. I check his tweets daily to see what he’s saying.

No Russian hacking occurred. No evidence proves it. Yet on Fox News Sunday, his incoming White House chief of staff Reince Priebus said otherwise, accepting the fake news report as factual.

Was he speaking for himself alone? Or was he also stating what Trump now believes? The president-elect hasn’t said either way since Friday so it’s unknown.

I tweeted him a number of times, this morning, saying: Hopefully you don’t now buy the Russian hacking fake news story. Information was leaked, not hacked, Russia uninvolved.

According to Priebus, he wants an intelligence community assessment on what should be done. Unknown actions may follow depending on what he decides.

Former UK ambassador to Uzbekistan Craig Murray acted as an intermediary between one or more Democrat party insiders, passing on leaked DNC and John Podesta emails to WikiLeaks.

Interviewed on RT (Russia Today), he called Friday’s intelligence community report “hilarious…devoid of evidence.”

“When I saw the report the other night I genuinely believed that was The Daily Mash or some other humorous site that had done a spoof,” he explained.

“It seems such a mockery of what we’ve had, which is weeks and weeks of assertion without evidence. And it was so totally devoid of evidence, that I thought it must be a joke.”

Its “assertions…are factually untrue.” Its contents are “built on nothing.”

“The report asserts, for example, that President Putin must have ordered the hacking. It doesn’t say that the hacking of the election or influencing actually happened.”

“But it says: ‘If it happened, he must have ordered it.’ And as evidence, it gives the fact that after the election, Russia did not question the validity of the election process and that it in some way supposes that Putin ordered that the process be hacked. It is nonsense.”

It’s intentionally provocative, wanting Trump’s election delegitimized, adversarial relations toward Russia continued, increasing the risk of US-initiated confrontation.

Murray correctly said a report this obviously fabricated could only have been issued, knowing Western media would support it unquestionably.

No sensible person would buy the rubbish in it. Media scoundrels accepting it are the same ones buying phony accusations about nonexistent Saddam’s WMDs in the run-up to US-led aggression, the same ones one-sidedly supporting Hillary, the same ones still bashing Trump.

What it all comes down to is wanting America’s imperial agenda continued – responsible for endless wars on humanity at home and abroad.

Heavy pressure is on Trump to maintain the status quo or risk removal from office by impeachment or more sinister means.

Assange: Leaks Not from Russia, Insider Says Source Is Democratic Whistleblower

(ANTIMEDIA) In an interview with Sean Hannity on Wednesday, WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange said plainly that Russia was not the source of the 2016 election leaks from the DNC and other individual Democratic figures.

“Our source is not the Russian government,” Assange told Hannity.

“So in other words, let me be clear,” Hannity asked, “Russia did not give you the Podesta documents or anything from the DNC?”

“That’s correct,” Assange responded.

The interview comes at a time when U.S. mainstream media has come to a consensus — albeit without presenting any hard evidence — that Russia is not only behind the leaks that harmed Hillary Clinton during the 2016 election, but that Vladimir Putin personally intended the leaks to help elect Donald Trump.

These claims, first asserted by anonymous CIA and intelligence officials speaking to the Washington Post and the New York Times, have since been challenged by other intelligence officials, the FBI, and journalists.

Adding further intrigue to the mystery that surrounds the source of the leaks is former British ambassador and close associate of WikiLeaks, Craig Murray, who says the leaks actually came from a whistleblower within the Democratic Party.

“Neither of [the leaks] came from the Russians,” Murray reportedly told the Daily Mail on Tuesday. “The source had legal access to the information. The documents came from inside leaks, not hacks.”

Murray claimed to have personally secured the leaks from an intermediary in a Washington D.C. wooded area near American University and said the whistleblower’s motivation for leaking the information was due to “disgust at the corruption of the Clinton Foundation and the tilting of the primary election playing field against Bernie Sanders.”

This is not the first time Craig Murray has made these assertions. In early November, Murray told Sputnik (Russian state-funded media) in an audio interview:

“The source of these emails and leaks has nothing to do with Russia at all. I discovered what the source was when I attended the Sam Adam’s whistleblower award in Washington. The source of these emails comes from within official circles in Washington D.C. You should look to Washington, not to Moscow.”

This leads us to the question: Who is this potential insider that leaked the information to WikiLeaks? Nobody really knows, but many conspiracy theorists have speculated that it could have been DNC staffer Seth Rich, who was murdered in Washington D.C. on July 10th, 2016. This speculation was spurred by an interview Julian Assange gave with Dutch TV in August, which seemed to hint at Rich being the source.

Adding fuel to this theory was WikiLeaks itself, which put out a $20,000 reward for information surrounding Seth Rich’s murder shortly after his death.

While the mystery surrounding who leaked the data on Democratic party figures remains unsolved — and nobody has disputed the fact that governments maliciously hack each other for political reasons — it’s clear that the only people with knowledge of the leaks to step forward publicly are disputing the media’s narrative that Russia hacked the election to benefit Donald Trump.
