On Trump Versus Globalism

When Donald Trump was running for President, he told us he was against the globalists, which was great, but words and actions don’t always match. A few cases I will point to show us that words and actions don’t always match.

Gary Cohn was chosen to head up Trump’s economic advisors. Gary Cohn has been a globalist for many years. He was the top man at Goldman Sachs and a registered Democrat. Why was he given such an important post in the Trump administration? I was very leery of his appointment and am now glad he is gone. Trump has replaced Cohn with Larry Kudlow, a self-proclaimed “suppy-side” economist and a conservative. Kudlow is certainly an improvement on Cohn, but it remains to be seen if he opposes globalism.

Rex Tillerson was a surprise appointment as Secretary of State. He was CEO of ExxonMobil for many years. Could Rex Tillerson be considered an anti-globalist? Nothing he has done tells me he is. Quite the opposite, as head of ExxonMobil, he would seem to have been part of the globalist cabal. Suffice it to say I am glad he is gone.

HR McMaster, who serves as Trump’s National Security Advisor, rose to the rank of Lt. General in the Army. That he is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) is a huge strike against him. The CFR is perhaps the biggest promoter of Globalism. Why is McMaster in such an important post? It has been rumored, lately, that he will soon be gone. Let us hope so, but please Mr. President, don’t appoint any more CFR members.

If Trump is truly committed to ending globalism, and restoring US sovereignty, then the CFR must be expunged from our government. That is a lot to ask, I realize, as the CFR has infiltrated all levels of government, but it is a necessary step to take. Globalism is the biggest enemy we face. Period. It is, and has been, the single biggest driver of the destruction of the USA. It is globalism that has destroyed our industries, with trade deals such as NAFTA, that have encouraged globalist companies to move our manufacturing offshore. With that movement came the destruction of our middle class. We no longer have a strong manufacturing base. We are a nation of burger-flippers, bartenders, waiters and retail clerks. To be great, we need to produce things, not just consume them. To get our Balance of Trade out of the red and back into the black, we must export, not import goods. In other words, the opposite of what the globalists have been preaching for decades.

As long as Trump places America First and opposes Globalism, I will support him. If he strays from that path, I will be the first to criticize him. It is that simple. He has followed through on many campaign promises, thus far. Keep both the progressives and neo-con globalists at bay. Keep fighting the globalists, Mr. President, it is our only salvation.
