Report: Armed School Resource Officer Stops Gunman at Maryland High School

An armed resource officer at a school in Maryland is believed to have stopped a shooting which injured two students Tuesday.


The gunman, identified as 17-year-old Great Mills High School student Austin Wyatt Rollins, injured two students with a handgun when he opened fire in a hallway around 7:55AM.


The student gunman died after he “exchange gunfire” with the officer, who was in pursuit after the two students were shot.


One of the students, a 16-year-old female, is in critical condition, while the other 14-year-old male victim is reported to be in good condition.
