US QUIETLY CEDED PART OF SYRIA TO RUSSIA LAST WEEK AND NOBODY IS TALKING ABOUT IT

The U.S. has quietly ceded some arenas of the war in Syria to Russia and its allies, according to the Military Times. The U.S. and Russia have been supporting opposing factions on the ground to claim as much territory as possible along the Euphrates River Valley in eastern Syria in the last few months of the war. Even so, the U.S. has apparently given up its longstanding bid to confront the Syrian government directly, though not without taking a political stab at Syria and Russia first.
