Video: Kevin Spacey Talks About His “Bromance” With Bill Clinton

(ANTIMEDIA) — Kevin Spacey, who was accused this week of predatory sexual behavior, was asked about his “bromance” with Bill Clinton by Charlie Rose in 2015.

“Let’s just talk about your bromance with Bill Clinton, can we talk about that?” Rose asked. This appeared to make Spacey a little uncomfortable. “If you’d like, [inaudible]… Is that what we call it?” replied Spacey.

You can watch the awkward exchange below:

“Well, we’ve known each other a long time. We’ve had a lot of different experiences over the years,” Spacey said. “Both in his first and second terms, I did a great number of things for him either at the White House or for the Democratic Party, hosted a lot of events, did a lot of things privately, did a lot of things on the campaign.”

Spacey explained that he never doubted Clinton and was always there for him throughout their close friendship.

“And I suppose that perhaps I never waited to see which way the wind would blow in respect to him. I was always there,” Spacey said. “And I was true friend. And never doubted him. Never stopped believing in him. Thought he was an extraordinary man.”

“Took him as he was?” Rose asked. “Took him as he was,” Spacey answered. “And I think that may be part of the reason why we became close.”

Rose then asked Spacey if he was also close friends with Bill’s wife, Hillary Clinton.

“I’m not as close to her. I just haven’t spent as much time with her as with him,” Spacey said. “Whenever we are together, I always have a nice time with both of them.”
