CBS Fires Exec Who Slammed Vegas Dead As "Country Music Fans Who're Often Gun-Toting Republicans"

CBS has fired on of its top lawyers after she took to social media to explain why she was "not even sympathetic" to victims of the Las Vegas shooting because "country music fans often are Republican."

As Fox News reports, Hayley Geftman-Gold, the network"s now-former vice president and senior counsel, took to Facebook after a gunman opened fire at the Route 91 Harvest Music Festival in Las Vegas, killing at least 58 people and sending more than 500 others to hospitals.

“If they wouldn’t do anything when children were murdered I have no hope that Repugs [sic] will ever do the right thing,” Geftman-Gold wrote in a now-deleted message that was first reported and captured by The Daily Caller.

Geftman-Gold continued: “I’m actually not even sympathetic bc [sic] country music fans often are Republican gun toters [sic].”

A CBS spokeswoman told Fox News...

"This individual, who was with us for approximately one year, violated the standards of our company and is no longer an employee of CBS.

Her views as expressed on social media are deeply unacceptable to all of us at CBS. Our hearts go out to the victims in Las Vegas and their families."

We"re sure MSNBC is hiring?

This disgusting individual was not alone, however, as a number of apparently left-leaning Americans took to Twitter to seemingly celebrate the massacereof "white Trump supporters". As Paul Joseph Watson noted, an anti-Trump activist with the Twitter name ‘Ann #TheResistance’ who is also a teacher reacted to the deadliest mass shooting in American history by tweeting, “Lots of white Trump supporters in Las Vegas at route 21 watching Jason aldean. Pray only Trumptards died! #prayforvegas.”

After the tweet began to go viral, the user deleted it and then wiped her entire account.

Another Twitter user lauded the massacre by tweeting, “Shooting at country music festival in Las Vegas?! Looks like revenge on those Trump supporters.

“I hope they killed more than 25 Trump supporters lol,” tweeted another.

The question is, how many of these real deplorables will also get fired (or is gleefully commenting on the death of fellow Americans an acceptable stretch of the 1st amendment at these people"s places of work?)
