Urgent: In Desperate Need of Generators (and Other Critical Supplies) in Texas for Security and Relief Efforts

One of the towns that Oath Keepers is helping provide security for (yes, a whole town) on the outskirts of Houston is now without power. This is a town that is acting as a relief (food and water) and first-aid distribution point, and also as a hub for deploying rescue boats and teams. (for security reasons, we will keep the name of this town confidential except for those who actually come here to help).

In this town, Oath Keepers is working directly with the local fire department, the Constable, and the Sheriff’s Department to provide security for the food and water distribution, the fire station, for resting/staging rescue teams and boats and vehicles, for local businesses (already had one break in attempt at a fully stocked gun store) and for residents. We are also running wellness/medical checks on local residents when their friends and relatives cannot reach them and providing emergency first aid and helping to deliver critical medical support (such as securing a life saving nebulizer for a severly asthmatic child).

But the power in the town is now out, and that makes it much harder to get the work done, especially at night.

We need generators! If you have one, or can get one, please bring it to our initial rally point in Livingston, TX and we will then escort you down to deliver it to the town in need. That is our greatest equipment need at the moment.

Even if you can’t deploy out to do rescues or security, or any of the other tasks in our call to action, if you can bring a generator, you will be doing God’s work, so please bring it.

We also need:

cases of Bottled water
cases of MREs. These are critical for our first responders.

Deep cycle Marine batteries

Solar panels and/or solar battery chargers with the necessary accessories (such as inverters).

Stand-up work lights, flash-lights, any kind of lighting.

Fuel: both gas and diesel. Anything less than 1,000 pounds is legal to transport without a Haz-mat license. If you can legally bring more, please do so.

Also need fuel storage containers that can be used to shuttle and store fuel (if you don’t have those but can drop off fuel, that is fine. We will find something to put it in). This will be not just for our teams, but also for the local first responders.

Radios. We need more hand-held short distant radios such as FRS or cheap Baofeng dual band HAM radios.

We are setting up an HF base station HAM radio in the fire station, but we need a General Class HAM operator to run it. We have one on the way, but we need more than one so they can take shifts.

We still need all the skills listed in our call to action, but security is becoming increasingly serious, as bad guys take advantage of the situation and attempt to loot local businesses (such as gun shops) and local residences.
