Chuck Schumer called for investigation of Sessions over ‘Russian ties’ but had coffee and doughnuts with Putin: Hypocrisy

(INTELLIHB) — Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer (NY) told the press Thursday that Attorney General Jeff Sessions should resign and even be investigated by the Justice Department to determine if he compromised an ongoing investigation into the alleged Russian meddling of the U.S. electoral system.

However, President Donald Trump addressed the Dem leader on Twitter Friday, when he fired out a provocative tweet reading:

“We should start an immediate investigation into @SenSchumer and his ties to Russia and Putin. A total hypocrite!”

The tweet boasted a picture of the NY politician with the Russian president Vladimir Putin holding coffee and doughnuts at Krispy Kreme.
