American Psychiatric Association Tells Members “Stop Psychoanalyzing President Trump”

By Catherine J. Frompovich

The American Psychiatric Association (APA) recently issued a warning to its members “to stop psychoanalyzing U.S. President Donald Trump, as it breaches the organization’s ethics code.” [1]

During the presidential campaign season of 2016, the APA also issued another professional request to its members [2] about Donald Trump, which apparently went unheeded.

According to Sputnik News, February 20, 2017:

However, psychiatric critics of Trump would do well to investigate the Goldwater Rule, and its legal implications. The Goldwater Rule is the informal name given to Section 7.3 of the APA code of ethics, which states it’s unethical for psychiatrists to offer a professional opinion about public figures they have not examined in person, and/or obtained consent from.

It derives from a 1964 libel suit brought by then-Republican Presidential candidate Barry Goldwater, in response to an article in Fact magazine. The title published an article, “1,189 Psychiatrists Say Goldwater is Psychologically Unfit to be President!” based on a poll it had conducted. Goldwater sued, and won US$75,000 (approximately US$579,000 in 2017) in damages. [1]

As a person who believes in fairness and facts to support claims, here are a few questions I hope you don’t mind my asking APA members relative to psychoanalyzing some very prominent members of the geopolitical world:

  1. What’s your diagnosis of individuals who cannot accept the Constitutional process the USA government has functioned under for centuries, especially with regard to the peaceful change of elected administrations? Would psychiatrists diagnose those types of dissidents as “anarchists”?

  1. What is your professional diagnosis of a former Nazi sympathizer who led the Nazis to his Hungarian Jewish neighbors to confiscate their possessions and send them off to the camps? [3]

“The happiest time of my life.”

  1. How would you diagnosis George Soros using his money to incite riots around the globe either to control people and/or to initiate his one-world leftist political agenda? [4] Are not Soros’ groups and money financing political unrest, including the one being planned as the “Purple Revolution” for spring 2017 in the USA?  What’s your diagnosis for such apparent treasonous activity?

  1. What’s your candid professional diagnosis of a political candidate who apparently used doppelgangers as stand-ins during the recent 2016 election process? “Doppelganger! Hillary Clinton’s Changing Appearance: Special Lighting and Body Double”

  1. How can you explain, or even diagnose, this admittance by Barack Hussein Obama’s own words that he’s not an American; he’s a Kenyan? What’s your diagnosis for an apparent fraud perpetrated upon U.S. voters in 2008 and the world thereafter?

APA members, I can go on and on with many and varied illustrations you medical folks apparently don’t want to face or, perhaps, choose not to hyper-diagnose.  Are they too painful?  Don’t they fit in with your political persuasions?  Don’t you know how to diagnose them, or can’t you find them in your latest edition of DSM-5, “Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders”?

So, what’s with President Trump?

Why such vituperation?

Didn’t Donald J Trump win 306 Electoral College votes indicating hands down he won according to how the electoral process is played and garnered a greater percentage of the votes, which really were needed to win the presidency?  Who sold out Hillary Clinton?  Was her baggage too hot to handle, so she had to be scuttled by string pullers?

What’s the problem; why can’t you accept the facts of life, as you would advise your patients?

Or, are you professionally and ethically challenged like college students who were too traumatized to deal with life? If that’s the case, may I respectfully suggest we don’t need your profession to lead us down the road to civil unrest!

May I remind you, first and foremost, psychiatry is not scientifically proven! Psychiatry is not based upon valid science.  See this, this, this, and this.

I find this description of psychiatry offered by Philip Hickey, PhD, somewhat, but poignantly, accurate:

It is not superficially obvious that other problems of thinking, feeling, and/or behaving are actually illnesses, and there is a strong burden of proof on those who adopt this position.  Psychiatry, however, has never proved this assertion, but nevertheless continues to expand its diagnostic net in the same way that it started – by fiat.  A particular pattern of thinking, feeling and/or behaving becomes a mental illness/disorder because the APA says so! [….]

They are also deviating from the ordinary standards and procedures of medical science.

[….]

By contrast, psychiatry produces their “diagnoses,” (e.g. ADHD, disruptive mood dysregulation disorder, conduct disorder, etc., etc.), simply by voting.  [5]

With such an ‘outstanding’ record for ineffectiveness, why does psychiatry play such a seemingly significant role in modern medicine?  My answer would be because it’s a BS-er par none!  Psychiatry can make something out of nothing and change the course of a person’s life with only a practitioner’s skewed and/or biased diagnosis about the real hard facts of what’s going on in a person’s body, mind, spirit, biochemistry and physiology.  Psychiatry’s potent chemicals seemingly only add to a person’s troubles, not cure them, in my opinion and that of professionals too [6].  Most individuals who committed mass murders and other heinous crimes have been on psychiatric meds, or recently were coming off them.

The New American published “Study: Psychiatric Drugs Linked to Violent Crime” in 2015 wherein this was stated:

For another thing, guns have been used to stop some attacks, though mainstream media rarely report that. So, if the aggressive use of guns is not the common denominator, what is? More and more evidence is pointing to use of drugs, particularly the kind psychiatrists and medical doctors prescribe for depression and anxiety.  [CJF emphasis]

That sad fact is something the psychiatric profession is doing very little to police!  In fact, psychiatrists push SSRI prescription drugs, e.g., Prozac, Paxil, and Seroxat, like crazy!  Do they get kickbacks for all the prescriptions they write?  Don’t they realize they are ruining humans and their lives, while making them prescription drug addicts and dependent upon toxic chemicals?

Undeniably, psychiatrists have ventured beyond the pale when they started ‘diagnosing’ President Donald Trump as having various personality disorders.

Question:  Where were the psychiatrists’ diagnoses for the pedophiles in government; the craziness of Obama’s apparently recently-computer-generated-birth certificate; the sexual mischief of Bill Clinton in the Oval Office; the apparent drug-running operations while Bush Senior was at the CIA, and who later became our president?

Bush, Jr. has called Hillary Clinton his “sister-in-law” and Bill “his brother from another mother”. [6] He also stated that his father is a “father figure” to Bill Clinton. [7]   Just as worrying, both families can be tied to CIA-sanctioned Contra cocaine imports of the 1980s through BLACK EAGLE and Mena.

So, how would APA members diagnose such actions?
