Obama Just Ordered 35 Russian Diplomats to Be Kicked out of the US

(ANTIMEDIA) The Obama administration has put their money where their mouth is regarding the largely manufactured claims that Russia successfully interfered in the 2016 U.S. election. The president has begun to impose retaliation measures against the Putin administration.

Obama issued an executive order on Thursday authorizing sanctions on particular individuals and organizations he believes were involved in the alleged Russian interference. Even the mainstream media continues to use the word “alleged” interference, which prompts the question: Why is Obama retaliating against allegations in the first place?

Nine entities and individuals have been sanctioned, including two Russian intelligence agencies, four officers of its largest intelligence agency, GRU, as well as three companies that supported GRU’s operations.

Further, Obama has also ordered the expulsion of 35 Russian diplomats.

Speaking while on vacation in Hawaii (click here to see the cost of Obama’s luxury holidays), Obama stated:

“These actions follow repeated private and public warnings that we have issued to the Russian government, and are a necessary and appropriate response to efforts to harm U.S. interests in violation of established international norms of behavior.”

Established international norms of behavior?” Never mind that the U.S. helped subvert an elected government next door to Russia, the effect of which could have placed NATO missiles right on Russia’s borders. Unlike the Russian election scandal, this is a claim for which there is evidence in the form of leaked phone calls.

Despite this glaring fact, Obama has indicated that actions against Russia could escalate, stating “these actions are not the sum total of our response to Russia’s aggressive activities.”

The retaliatory measures also run in tandem with a report published by the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security that outlined the ways in which they believe Russian agents interfered in the U.S. elections.

Moscow is likely to respond in turn, and Obama is still yet to provide any actual proof of Russia’s involvement, raising questions about what the attacks are really all about.
