Craigslist Just Nuked Its Personal Ads Section Because of a Sex-Trafficking Bill

Craigslist announced early Friday morning that it would no longer host personal ads of any kind, in response to a bill that’s meant to curb sex trafficking—but will harm consenting sex workers, instead, according to groups like the ACLU and the Center for Democracy and Technology. The classified ads website says it “can’t take such risk” after the SESTA-FOSTA sex-trafficking bill passed Wednesday.
