The Wisconsin Department of Justice"s efforts to analyze thousands of untested sexual assault kits generated nearly 20 DNA hits during the last half of 2017. A DOJ report to the U.S. Bureau of Justice Assistance indicates testing yielded DNA profiles that match 20 known offenders in the FBI"s CODIS database, including 11 who weren"t listed as a suspect in the case.
