Why the NRA Should Support a Constitutional Militia
Announcing the newest film project by James Jaeger
James Jaeger is a masterful documentary film maker who focuses on Constitutional subjects, with emphasis on Dr. Edwin Vieira, Jr.’s, writings on the Second Amendment. See Dr. Vieira’s section in the Oath Keepers Academy, where you’ll find a listing of his books and some articles and videos.
There you will see that Dr. Vieira writes wonderfully informative revelations about the Founders’ original intent in drafting the Constitution. He is a peerless authority on the Constitution and a prolific book author. He especially enjoys writing about the Second Amendment and has a trilogy on the subject of “Constitutional Homeland Security”, which you’ll see at his landing page. The three titles are:

Allow me to pause here and echo the seriousness of Dr. Vieira’s work on the Second Amendment. We either have a Constitution, or we don’t. Despite the fact that most Federal folks in WDC constantly act as if we do not have a Constitution, it is my opinion that the document which created those public servants’ offices is their only basis for posing as “government” employees, elected officials, and appointed public servants. Based on the fact that not one of the idiots in Congress would have a seat in government if government had not first been created by We The People, and based on the fact that We The People created that government by writing it into existence with the Constitution, it is absurd to suppose that we do not have a Constitution.
Yet the supreme idiocy which prevails in government today reveals that our representative government employees simply ignore the limitations placed on the Federal government by the very document which created it. To get to the point, I encourage everyone reading here to go ahead and buy Dr. Vieira’s book, “Thirteen Words”. Those who do will have a head start on appreciating James Jaeger’s upcoming film, “Good Guys With Guns”. And what are the thirteen words?
“A well-regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a Free State…”
That is part of our Constitution, and that particular part of our Constitution is totally ignored by those folks who are running our government. Even the good souls over at the National Rifle Association, who propose to believe in our Constitution, fail to live up to those thirteen words which open the Second Amendment. That is what James Jaeger is about to expose and heal with his new film, Good Guys With Guns.

Good Guys With Guns: Progress Report

Dear GOOD GUY Associate,
Judging by the thousands of comments. “likes”, and “shares” on the OATH KEEPERS national facebook page, it looks like a vast majority of you feel a movie about GOOD GUYS WITH GUNS needs to be made.
As I mentioned in an earlier Progress Report, we would like to invite STEPHEN WILLEFORD — the “good guy with a gun” at the First Baptist Church shooting – into the movie, and in fact I have just received word that OATH KEEPERS founder, STEWART RHODES, has already arranged an interview. Also, two of OATH KEEPER’S Army Ranger veterans were part of a security detail for the First Baptist Church services and spoke with Stephen Willeford at length afterwards.
So in short, we are going to round up a number of these “good guys with guns” and let them tell their stories in the new movie. True to form, the Mainstream Media has given Stephen Willeford, and other good guys little or no attention – even though one of the OATH KEEPERS who provided a security detail for the First Baptist Church services was directly involved in the fire-fight that took down the Navy Yard shooter a while back.
Real American heroes like STEPHEN WILLEFORD are in the Mainstream Media (MSM) once or twice and then they disappear, even on FOX NEWS. Good guys with guns are especially ignored or suppressed by the hard-left networks like MSNBC, CNN, ABC, CBS and NBC. Stephen Willeford should be plastered all over the place. He’s a symbol of how an armed and trained citizenry – including citizens with “weapons suitable for warfare” – should be peppered around public places (open and concealed-carry) to “suppress” and “repel” madmen with guns (not dissimilar to the very Militia System referred to in Article I, Section 8, Clause 15). Every one of these “good guys” should be widely promoted. If the MSM won’t do that, GOOD GUYS WITH GUNS will be a vehicle for that to happen. Support true heroes and Oath Keepers by supporting this film.
GOOD GUYS WITH GUNS will thus hammer on the point that “gun-free zones” advocated by the Left’s gun-control lobby are really mass-murder zones. Given this, shouldn’t “good guys with guns” be across the nation, anywhere and everywhere? And shouldn’t these “good guys with guns” be trained, organized and well-regulated like it says in the first 13 words of the Second Amendment?
The OATH KEEPERS are already “good guys with guns” because they understand the Second Amendment, but unfortunately the NRA ignores the first 13 words. They also ignore their own bylaws and they allow the media and the gun-control lobby to cow and control them.
These things said, if you are an NRA Member: are you satisfied with how the NRA is interpreting the Second Amendment? If not, do you have the courage to speak up, to tell the NRA brass that they should support a Constitutional Militia?
We tried endlessly to get Wayne LaPierre and/or Chris Cox and/or Ted Nugent into MOLON LABE and MIDNIGHT RIDE and they were nowhere to be found. Therefore we are going to send Wayne LaPierre a letter to invite him into GOOD GUYS WITH GUNS. We hope he accepts, but we’re not holding our breath. Given this absentee “leadership,” GOOD GUYS WITH GUNS will be largely directed to the NRA Membership. My attitude is, if the NRA can’t support the first 13 words of the Second Amendment, then maybe it’s time the Membership look for a new gun association.

The mass-shootings that have been happening across the nation must be addressed. The producers and sponsors of this film believe the only way they can be stopped is by “good guys with guns.” This means WE THE PEOPLE need to encourage our gun organizations, especially the NRA, to step up training in the proper handling of arms appropriate to stave off attacks. This also means that the NRA must take responsibility for bringing the first 13 words of the Second Amendment into the public consciousness – no matter what Lefty Freaks in the MSM and the gun-control lobby say.
