Prof calls ‘digital manspreading’ an act of "toxic masculinity"

A University of Wisconsin-Madison professor warns in a new academic journal article that "digital manspreading" is a form of "online misogyny" that silences female scholars. As a case study, she points to C+= (pronounced “C plus equality”), a fictitious programming code purporting to help "smash the Patriarchy" that was actually just a trolling exercise.
