Airlines to scan your face as boarding pass becomes obsolete

Just like the old sci-fi movies, travelers will soon no longer need a boarding pass to fly

(INTELLIHUB) — As biometric databases grow in travel hubs worldwide airlines are pushing for the installation of new facial recognition software which allows passengers to board flights by merely scanning their face.

However, such technology will likely be deployed to every street corner in the future which will ultimately allow authorities to track the whereabouts and habits of every living person and pet in major cities.

The technology is being sold in the name of ‘security’ and ‘convenience’ which travelers will most likely eat up but such technology may also act as a duel-edged sword. Keep in mind, the TSA knows that biometric databases can also be targeted by criminals to extort travelers biometric data but the question is: what will security officials do to stop it.
