Attorney General Jefferson Sessions lays down the law on sanctuary cities, threatens to strip funding

Billionaire leftists still pose threat

WASHINGTON (INTELLIHUB) — The nation’s Attorney General briefed members of the press at the White House Monday afternoon on his recent federal request for sanctuary cities to follow detention and deportation laws regarding illegal immigration.

“The Department of Justice has a duty to enforce our nation’s laws, including our immigration laws,” Attorney General Jefferson Sessions said.

According to Sessions, in many cases, sanctuary cities have failed to adhere to federal detainer requests and have let violent criminals go.

President Donald Trump has previously addressed the issue both publically and in an executive order after the Inspector General found that such issues violate federal law.

Now, under Sessions watch, sanctuary cities will be required to comply with “Section 1373” in order to be eligible for Office of Justice Programs (OJP) grants.

“Such policies make their cities and states less safe. Public safety as well as national security are at stake and put them at risk of losing federal dollars,” Session said.

However, the Attorney General’s plan fails to address grants which are being offered to sanctuary cities from private entities, such as George Soros and other billionaire controllers.
