(INTELLIHUB) — While liberals in cahoots with Muslims around the country have been in hysterics over President Donald Trump’s temporary ban on persons from seven countries known to have clear links to Islamic terrorism, it has just been revealed that Trump has yet another bombshell surprise for them and judging by the reactions so far, they’re not going to like this one.
Myron Ebell, the former head of Trump’s Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) transition team — a position he held until Trump’s inauguration — said the U.S. would pull out of the Paris agreement within a matter of days.
Trump, a climate change skeptic who has previously called climate change a hoax created by China, campaigned on a pledge to boost the U.S. oil and gas drilling and coal mining industries by slashing regulation.
He had promised to pull the US out of the Paris Agreement which aims to curb global warming — a nonexistent issue based on scientific data.
Ebell said the President was determined to undo the policies of the Obama administration including unraveling Obama’s climate action plan and defunding U.N. climate change work, The Independent reported. The president signed two memos Jan. 26 scrapping funding to United Nations agencies who give full membership to designated terrorist organizations or who support abortion funding programs.
“I expect Donald Trump to be very assiduous in keeping his promises, despite all of the flak he is going to get from his opponents,” he told reporters Monday in London.”
“He could do it by executive order tomorrow, or he could wait and do it as part of a larger package. There are multiple ways and I have no idea of the timing.”
“The U.S. will clearly change its course on climate policy. Trump has made it clear he will withdraw from the Paris Agreement.”
The agreement, adopted by 194 countries last December, is a successor to the Kyoto Protocols.
Ebell, who helped direct the EPA’s transition after the Republican real estate tycoon was elected in November until he was sworn in on January 20, said it was difficult to predict the timing of any action because government departments are still in transition.
Ebell currently serves as the Director of Global Warming and International Environmental Policy at the Competitive Enterprise Institute, a libertarian think tank in Washington.
Trump appointed Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt, who has led 14 lawsuits against the EPA, to replace Ebell as the agency’s administrator, although a vote on his nomination has not been scheduled yet.
