I would have preferred Trump to keep other Campaign promises instead. I can"t understand why he invested so much political capital in repealing ACA when it was collapsing very nicely all by itself. The folks, including Dims, would then have been crying out for a new law. As it is, I can only assume that doing it this way allows the Corporations to slip in revised items which remain favourable to themselves, such as the subsidies no longer paid as "Taxes" to Gbumin (Remeber the penalties were classified by SCOTUS as Taxes, which allowed ACA to be approved) but now paid directly to Corporations (Health Insurers. How can it be legal for (re-defined) taxes to be collected by Private Corporations?
